Today I ran out of contact solution for my 2 week contacts and my parents got me opti-free solution.Is it ok for me to switch solution in the middle of 2 weeks? Thanks!!!

I was born with cataracts had intraocular lenses fitted in both eyes. I used to really enjoy kickboxing and mma and other contact sports until I was told not to participate due to a risk of my lens shattering.

I got a black eye yesterday at basketball practice and it is really swollen. There is bleeding in the outer corner of the eye. I have a game tonight and need to wear contact lenses.

My pink-eye won't go away?

So I got my pink-eye from a cold, because I didn't go to the doctor but just treated it with natural remedies. There were slight complications and now I have pink-eye. I already have it for a freaking month and a half! It just won't go away. I didn't go to the doctor for a while, 'cause I thought it would go away.So when I finally went to an eye doctor.he prescribed me antibiotic eye drops which I had to use for 10 days. I did. He said that my eyes cleared up and gave me some drops to disinfect my eyes a few times a day. I have been using them for two weeks but I see no improvement with the way my eyes look. They still look slightly swollen and I can see blood vessels all the way up to my iris. I haven't used make up all this time, no contact lenses, always washed my hands. And my doctor just says to ''wait it out'' Is it supposed to be like that?

In about a year and a half, I'm either going to go to uni (that's plan b), or join the Royal Marine. Been doing a lot of weights, swimming running and timed walks with weights in rucksack, but I have fairly poor eyesight, which may possibly get worse. I can be fully corrected with lenses btw. I went to the eye doc yesterday and apparently my visual acuity is 20/300 and I have myopia and astigmatism. I'm only 13 years old.Is that bad?

Lenses that are super thin and have a shade on any specific color, let's say green.So most things would have a green look on them when I wear them.
They would be more of an accessory then a function thing. They wouldn't be working contacts.
But someone told me the pupils would dilate to much from not as much light getting through. But you would only where these lenses like 3days a week and only when your out.So I think they would be harmless.

I am now wearing a new pair of contacts I wore acuvue advance for a long time, then went to oyasis and they feel better on my eyes than the last pair but I haven't worn contacts in a Year, and had prescribed a new prescription cause my last pair were getting blurry. This new pair I see just fine out of but I am getting headaches off of wearing them? Is this normal for contacts to cause headaches if you haven't worn them in a while and they are a new set?

Does anyone know whats wrong with my hamster!

Okay first off I would like to say I'm very appreciative of people answering my questions but if you're going to comment 'take it to the vet' then please don't bother.My hamsters eye is swollen(with redness) and watery. This only happened after I changed its bedding from Aspen to Cedar but today I changed it to some hypoallergenic kind. I looked up on some websites eye problems with hamsters and none have really fit what's wrong with my hamster. Some websites told me to take saline solution(like contact lenses solution) and apply it to the eye, the redness has gone down but my hamster is still having some trouble opening that eye completely. Does anyone know a better way to take care of its eye? I'd take it to the vet but I'm really lacking money right now, if its serious I will take it. Thank you!

Can't stop crying with circle lenses?

I bought circle lenses recently, and every time I put them on I cry very very bad. The discomfort is that bad that I can't stand them, and take straight out. Hey guys,

I really want to wear contacts but I keep getting paranoid that I am going to get serious infections like Acanthamoeba Keratitis, Fusariam keratitis, corneal ulcers and such. I know that these infections are rare but just because they are rare does not mean that they can't happen to you.

Is there anyone else who feels paranoid about contact lenses and is there anything I can do to stop it or should I just stick with glasses?

My eyes hurt when I put contacts.?

Well, yesterday, I was wearing these contacts, and my eyes were okay. They didn't hurt at all. After I was done, I poured the solution and cleaned the contact lens case. But today when I put one of them on, my eye started tearing up, so I took them off, and I noticed a little cut.It wasn't major, but I decided to ask if that was the reason why my eye starting tearing… Was that the reason?

I went to the eye doctor and they told me that my bc was 8.4 on acuvue oasis, but when I mentioned that I wanted monthly contacts, they prescribed ones to me that had a bc of 8.6 from air optix. Should they have given me contacts that have a bc of 8.4 or am I fine with the 8.6 air optix?

I am planning to buy some re-wetting drops for my contacts and my doctor recommend me Blink for contacts, which I find pretty nice (far superior than Vasine) but kinda pricey for the limited amount… (I do tend to use my eye drops quite often)

I found that Vasine had a edition of eye drops specifically made for contacts and I was wondering can I put this eye drop directly on my contacts in the morning?

I use Acuvue oasys.

My eye doctor is at Walmart. They do all of their ordering through 1-800-contacts so I guess I could just do that myself, but probably a lot easier to just call my eye doctor. I've had some trouble with quality control at visiondirect. They kept a bunch of recalled lenses and somehow mixed them in with new lots so had to send letters warning everyone. Are thick nearsighted lenses attractive?

This question is about appearance only. For some reason, I have always found girls who wear thick minus lenses irresistible. I love the small eyes surrounded by power rings hiding behind big reflections. And I enjoy it when a nearsighted girl gets stronger glasses that emphasize those things even more. So, I bought some coloured contact lenses (purely for dress up, nothing to do with vision) about 4 years ago. They have been kept in their little containers in the eye drop solution all this time and I have only ever worn them once when I first got them. Corneal abrasion problem?

I've got contact lenses and glasses with the insufficient prescription and my optometrist has confirmed corneal irritation and decline in eyesight due to soft lenses. He's ordered in my new glasses but they haven't arrived yet so I have to wear contacts to school (the glasses i have now seriously don't help much I can't see much better in them) but my eyes hurt so much and they always tear up. What are my chances of becoming a police officer?

Ok so here it goes: I am from Southern California but I am currently attending UC Berkeley. I am a Freshman in terms of semesters on campus but I have Junior Year standing in terms of Units completed (meaning I am all set to graduate in a year or so).

I really want to be a police officer in one of the following agencies: LA Sheriffs Department, Long Beach PD, LAPD, or any other Law Enforcement agency within a 50 mile radius to my parents' home in Fullerton California.

My ultimate goal is to build a solid resume during my years in local/state law enforcement so that I can become competitive for a federal agency (FBI for instance).
I am a linguistics major

My skills talents are:

1: Bilingual (English and Spanish fluently plus I am learning Korean)
2: I am tall and fit (I am 6'2" and weigh 207 pounds)
3: I have no criminal record whatsoever
4: I have over 500 hours of voluntary community service

My weaknesses:
I have astigmatism (which is correctable with glasses and or contact lenses).

Any input on what you guys think my chances of finding employment are and or what I could do to improve my chances would be helpful.

Eye doctor suggested a CT scan. I'm freaking out. What could it be? HELP?

For a long time now, at least a year I've been getting headaches quite often. I got a new job about 4 months ago and I'm sitting at a computer all day and I get headaches EVERY SINGLE DAY. I thought the computer was making it worse or triggering eye problems I didn't know I had. Because I've never had to focus on something like I do now.

I also get sharp stabbing pains in my head on either side. But the regular headaches are at my forehead like a normal tension headache. I've also had 2-3 nose bleeds in the past 2 weeks if that's relevant.

Anyways, I went to the eye doctor today and he said my right eye is bad and my left is perfect.So he had me try a lenses with those ridiculous glasses if you know what im talking about. Well the only lense that was supposed to work doesn't. There's something preventing my right eye to focus properly even with lenses and he said he doesn't know why and doesn't think that my eye problem is the cause for the strange headaches.
He recommended going back to my family doctor to get some tests done on my brain…

My mom asked what he would say about everything if headaches weren't in the picture. He said it's still very strange about my right eye not focusing correctly with lenses.
(He said I have astigmatism by the way)

So my question is what the heck could be wrong in there? My eye or brain. I'm freaking out big time right now and I've had CT scan with the dye before. I have never experienced a more horrible feeling in my life. I started to cry when it went through. I want to cry just thinking about getting another one.

We are looking for the absolute best pair of eye glasses for someone who sits in front of a computer screen all day writing code. The person in question does not require prescription lenses, buts wants protection from whatever harmful stuff comes from the monitor (LED or other). And this person is middle aged so consider that he/she has been working for 30 years without eye protection and looking straight at a computer screen all day.

We have been told that Gunnar.com makes some excellent glasses for computer people. But we would like to know if there are any better ones or comparable ones.

Can I shower/nap in my Contact lenses?

Ok so I dont do this very often and most of the time since when Im wearing my contacts seeing what I look at becomes so "normal" since everything is so clear and vivid that I forget that I'm even wearing contact lenses. First time I freaked out and left the shower just to take them off and got back in since my eye doctor said that I shouldn't shower, swim, or sleep in my contacts.So far I did both sleeping and showing, never swimming.Is that bad? I mean the contacts im using are AquaTech plus Premium Toric the monthly ones and Its only for an Hour or two. I did this about probably 8-10 times since I got them in December. I try so hard to stay up but when your about to go into a good nap you wont wanna move! I have NEVER full on slept in them like going to sleep for the whole night or anything and wont ever try to! I showered in them two times since I got them also. But on those times I realized I was wearing them when I was already in the shower and its not like i got any soap/water in my eyes. Should I stop this behavior totally from now on? Or is it not such a big deal? Im really good on all the procedures as far as cleaning and everything else goes! Letting my eyes rest a day or more out of the week from wearing them and leaving them to soak in solution for 6hrs+, etc

My glasses aren't as effective as they should be?

I tried on a friend's glasses in Biology today when we were messing about. I can see crystal clear in his, like, I didn't even know the human eye was supposed to see that sharp (asked the girl next to me with 20/20 vision.) However, my vision is still pretty crap with my glasses compared to the other guy's. I'm a little mad as I paid £90 for my glasses. I want a retest to get the crystal clear sight, but I don't want to pay for new lenses. I also don't believe I think I should pay.Do you think I'll have to?

My contact lenses are dry/irritating?

I am 15. I have worn contacts on and off for 4 years and have been to see 2 different eye doctors over 10 times.In this time I have worn Focus Dalies, Aqua Comfort Plus Dalies, Coopervision Biofinity, Coopervision Proclear, Acuvue Oasys, Acuvue Moist, and Acuvue TruEye (plus some others I am probably forgetting), along with about 5 different brands of saline solution. The reason I have had so many different contacts is because my eyes always feel dry/uncomfortable when I wear them.Re-wetting drops work for about five minutes, but then the discomfort is even worse.It's not a burning or itching sensation, but I always know that the contacts are there and it makes me want to blink a lot or shut my eyes to try and get some relief, but that doesn't help.My eyes don't get red, but it's just always feeling them in my eyes gets irritating, and when I walk down the hallways at school, that small amount of air moving past my face makes me have to look down at my feet as I walk, otherwise I'd have to walk with my eyes closed. I can't keep my eyes open without blinking for more than 2 seconds with contacts in. This isn't some progressive discomfort that only occurs later in the day, I feel my contacts from the second I put them in, and all the 7+ contacts that I have tried over the years made me feel like that. I see fine with them, and I need them to see because the power of my contacts are -1.75 in both eyes, but they bug me so much. Does anyone know what is wrong? I currently wear Acuvue Oasys (the contacts I feel are the most comfortable out of the ones I have tried, but I still don't find them very comfortable) and I use Biotrue saline solution. I know how to clean my contacts, there are no rips in the lenses, no particles, and they are not inside out. This past summer I did the punctal occlusion procedure, even though my doctor says I don't have dry eyes, and my eyes are fine when I don't wear contacts. I have glasses but I can't wear them for sports, which I do all year, so that's not an option.

So basically, I have tried a ton of different brands, lenses, lens materials, and saline solutions, but nothing seems to work. I don't have dry eyes. I just want to be able to wear them and feel like there isn't something constantly touching my eye. When I talk to my friends that have contacts they are always like "I don't even feel mine at all, it's like they're not even there." Is that how it's supposed to be? Are they supposed to be made so that they aren't noticeable? Does anyone know why I'm having such bad luck with these things? The reason for all of this is because I am taking drivers ed and I needed to start wearing corrective lenses again.

Added (1). They fit fine, the problem isn't the size or shape of the lenses. All contacts that I have tried were given to me by my doctor.

I have a couple of tiny glass jars that some novelty contact lenses came in and they're just the perfect size for storing my paint without it drying, during a big project. I've looked around for them in a few places but I can't really find any as small as the ones I have. They're just under 4 cm tall and have airtight rubbery lids. Why Do My Eyes Burn When Putting in Contact Lens?

So for the past 6 months I have worn contacts with no problems. They have been kind of red lately but I thought that was due to a sinus infection I have. Well last night I took antibiotics and nasal spray for my sinus infection than when I tried to take out my contacts they burnt really bad but I managed to take them out. Well this morning whenever I try to put in contacts my eye get super irritated and immediately shuts once the contact touches my eye. I tried cleaning off the contact in new solution and it did not work. I tried using an entire new contact and it still hurts. What can I do to fix this? I have a metal concert tomorrow and if I wear glasses they are going to probly break.

Why am I such a fail at putting on contact lenses?

Well today I went to try on my new contacts and today I was like so nervous. Well my optometrist was like relax, take it easy and then we hold me to look down with my eyes and he placed it in. Once he did that I immediately wanted him to take it out for me.It felt like tiny rocks and it felt extremely uncomfortable.So I tried again but I was like panicking and crying and when I wore them again it was like a muddle (maybe because I was crying). And in the end I gave up on them and I have another appointment next Wednesday to try again. The thing is I hate my glasses so much that in class I just don't wear them. But I hate contact lenses to. What do I do I have like a week to either scrape it or do it. I am so scared I hate my life why do I have to be short sighted :( when I went to my friends for a sleepover she like wore them easily and I even watched videos on youtube and they make it look so easy.My mum says once you get contacts you have to get used to them like a week but I seriously couldn't wear these uncomfortable contacts for a week until I get used to them. The really bad thihng is that I just started highschool today and I am pratically blind without glasses but I look like a freak with them and I absolotely hate contact lenses.To tell the truth I understand the first time you wear contacts it will feel like tiny rocks and really uncomfortable but seriously I didn't think it will be this uncomfortable. Why is my eye pink and crusty?

I wear contact lens, and I woke up with them on today I've been sleeping with my contacts for about 4 days they aren't the sleeping in kind. I've heard you can get eye infections when you sleep in them, so today I woke up with my contacts in my eyes and I check in the bathroom and my eye is pinkish/redish and I thought "oh it's going to go away, I just rubbed my eye a bit" and I went on with my day, it did kinda stung and watered a bit but not alot, when I got to school I was talking to a friend and she told me "hey, your eye is red.." and I said "Oh, yeah I know" and about 3 people through all day told me, finally they stopped and I though "hey, the red is gone" I totally forgot. When I was going home I grabbed a mirror and checked my face, my eye was still pinkish. I got home and it's still pinkish to right now, I've been really sleepy I kinda dozed off and fell asleep for about 20 mins.when I woke up I had a bit of crust around my eye, I cleaned it off and kinda freaked out.Do you know whats wrong? I might have an eye infection because of sleeping in with my contacts. Please help, I don't want anyone else to get Pink Eye if I have it.

I wear acuvue moist daily lenses and I was wondering if it would be okay if I wore them for 8 hours during the day then store them in solution overnight then wore them for the same amount of time the next day and if it would be fine to do on a normal basis

Personally i'm in a little bit of a dilemma here.
I'm 14 and I have terrible vision- probably have about -6.00 myopia in each eye in addition to a -1.25 astigmatism. However, I wear ortho lenses at night, so i am "glasses-free" during the day.
however, for the past few weeks, I have been struggling to see the board clearly at school, and I feel that the consistency of my lenses is lacking a bit… is this normal?

also, despite the fact that i wash my contacts every morning, there is this white blob in my left lens; it is not visual on the lens itself, but when i wear them at night, there is this huge blob that distracts me from seeing anything else-is that normal too?

considering the side effects mentioned, would day contacts be worth a try? im just really worried that my prescription may start to boom without ortho k :(
*note: my astigmatism/starburst vision only started after i started wearing ortho k 5 years ago.

I've worn glasses since 5th grade, I tried contacts and hated them.So obviously I've never actually worn sunglasses. Are they worth looking into? I got prescribed contacts last week because glasses are not practical for me.
The optometrist gave me Air Optix Aqua soft lenses and I have been wearing them since last Thursday. I find these contacts very uncomfortable because I think my eyes are too dry with them on. I have used both Blink and Visine for contact lenses and they help for only a short period (10-20 minutes).Is it normal to experience dry eyes when starting out with contacts (these are my first pair ever)? Or should I try a different brand, is so which do you reccomend? Also I suffer from dust allergies so I think my eyes may be dryer than usual because they get itchy from time to time. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Are certain types or brands of contacts better than others? I wore contact lenses from Walmart for a short time a few years ago. They made my eyes hurt and feel very tired and were generally extremely uncomfortable. I stopped wearing them and went back to glasses after just a few weeks. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Walmart contacts, or do I just have more sensitive eyes? Also, would anyone recommend contacts from the "America's Best" eyeglass company? My contact lense is hurting my right eye?

Hi, I've had daily contact lenses and it's my trial I've had them in 2day and I'm to wear them up to 8hours a day no longer and I am wearing them for 6hours daily, my left eye is fine and I can't even feel the contact but my right eye has been fine and I defently know that both contacts are in the right way! But my right eye has seris of going really watery and strings then it'll be fine for 10 mins and then string and go watery again? I dunno what's up with it but I"ve worn my trials 2 times now and both times my right eye has done this. Hi, I live in central london, so here is a little information.
I'm eurasian with a mediumish nose bridge and long eye lashes.

Tried a pair of sun glasses for high nose bridges, fits ok bit seems to be tilted downwards slightly.
I went to an asian optics store looking for ones for lower nose bridges. Those stands are too long making glasses tilt upwards but worse of all, the leans on it seems a bit flat and touches my eye lashes.

Quoted price from the two stores were outrageous almosting costing as much as dad getting his glases with different degree lenses.

Contact lenses after swimming?

I'm having a swim unit in school this week but I CANNOT see without my glasses or contacts.My vision is extremely blurry, so I always have my glasses or contact lenses in. The only time I take either of them off is when I sleep. Since my glasses are broken right now & I won't be able to get them fixed this week, I'm not really sure what to do.
I just know that I DO NOT want to risk wearing contact lenses while swimming. I also won't have goggles. If the water gets into my eye while I swim (not wearing contacts during the time), would it still be okay for me to put my contact lenses in right AFTER swimming? I always make sure my hands/contacts are clean & everything so no need to worry about that. I'm just worried about the water from the pool getting into my eyes & putting in my lenses right after. I just wanna make sure I don't get an eye infection or anything, thanks.

I just got contact lenses three days ago and they feel weird on me.when i move my head i can feel the contacts sliding under my eye lids.i looked in the mirror and my contacts hang more on the bottom of my eye also when ever i blink my eye site will be weird and blurry then i will blink again and it will go sorta normal..also ive been noticing that some times i look around i can see the edge of my contact making my eye site annoying

I've been wearing contact lenses for about 3 or 4 years. About two or three years ago I switched to two weekly ones as I had trouble with the daily ones. I've usually havent had much trouble with the two weekly ones, but recently I have. Can drug dogs smell pills?

I am a female student in High School. We are not allow to have any type of medicine or drug. On my period days i have horrible menstrual cramps and migraines, so i take Midol. Our officer likes to pop his K-9 in on unannounced days.
I usually keep one dose in my contact lens case, inside a little contact lens box, inside my purse.Is the k-9 able to smell Midol?

Glasses that are only half-prescription for convergence insufficiency?

On Monday I'm going to an eye doctor to get officially tested/ get a prescription for prism lenses, but my general doctor is 99% sure that I have convergence insufficiency. But, I have 20/10 vision (my eyes may not be the best at tracking, but I have ridiculously good vision). I read somewhere online that instead of putting prisms in reading glasses that you take on and off, they can also make the glasses like bifocals, with the top half being clear glass and the bottom being prisms. Now I can't find where I read it or any other information.So, is there any truth to that? I know it would certainly make school easier if I didn't have to take them on and off constantly!

Tips for contact lenses?

So I've tried putting in contact lenses numerous times at my eye doctor, and I just can't seem to do it! My eyes always flinch and close just before I can get them in. But I REALLY need to put them in now, because I'm in a play in which I can't wear my glasses. I also have to wear this sight-restricting mask. Yesterday, I had to do a dance in this mask and I couldn't see anything! How to properly care for contacts?

I ordered my first pair of contacts the other day. They aren't regular contacts, they're called "circle lenses".

I did A LOT of research and decided to try them out. I got a smaller sized circle lens, I believe it was 14.2 in diameter. I've never worn lenses before but I was told that it'd be fine if I just ordered them without a prescription (0.00 plano). I do wear glasses but they aren't necessary for normal daily activities.

Anyway, they are going to be sending me a case for my contacts but I still want to go out and purchase a cleaning and storing solution.

I want to take the best care of the lenses as possible in order to decrease chances of infection.
What would you consider the best storing/cleaning solution to be?
I read that it's possible to buy a "3 in 1" solution, but I'm not sure if they are recommended.

Also, if I use the "3 in 1" do I have to clean the lens with a separate solution before placing them in my eye, or can I use the same solution they're stored in?
Do I have to clean the lens case out and refill it with fresh solution every time I store them?

Any other information on how to care for contacts would be greatly appreciated!
Added (1). I forgot to mention eye drops. I wanted to buy some eye drops in case they begin to dry out my eyes.Is it possible to buy a safe eye drop solution when you're wearing contacts? If so, what kind and what are they called?

Why are eye doctors so reluctant to give you your PD?

I went for an eye exam because I needed my prescription. I bought a 500 dollar frame with very expensive lenses/coatings, then looked online and found the prices were much cheaper. I asked for my PD because I wanted to order a backup pair, and was told that they aren't allowed to give out the PD for "liability issues". I went to 3 or 4 different places, and even offered to pay for an eye exam even though I had just gotten one the week prior if they would give me my PD- none of them agreed and said they could only measure it and make glasses for me but couldn't give it to me outright.

Finally, I was able to talk a very nice lady at one of these places to do my PD, which she had to do quickly after the doctor went in with a patient and the other person working there went in back because she said it's really not allowed.

I understand that many of these places are terrified of online retailers who can charge much less, but if you are already spending money buying a pair of glasses from them, shouldn't they give you the PD? I found the prices online for the coatings I requested were significantly cheaper ($15 in total compared to $175 that I paid at the store), so I'm guessing a bulk of their profits come from being able to mark up their glasses/lenses.

Why are these doctors not giving out measurements of your body that they are taking anyway, and shouldn't this be illegal?

I should note that many years ago before online glasses were popular, I could easily get my PD on my script, which I used to send to Pakistan to get a second or third pair made for significantly less. Now that it is more common to order online, there are liability issues with giving this information? Wouldn't those same liability issues have been present back then, if I had say decided to go to another retailer to get glasses made and found the PD to be off?

What are the best contact lenses/solutions?

I am looking for the best contacts and solution for my problems. I know I should probably ask a doctor but have been unable to find a new one.My last one refused to help with my extensive problems. First I have an astigmatism and dry eyes.So my doc gave me Opti-Free Pure Moist to use. I ended the night with strings of mucus coming from my blood shot eyes. Apparently I am allergic to the preservatives in the solutions.So he gave me Clear Care to clean my contacts but they dried out my eyes.At this point I stopped using contacts and stopped going to this doc. Colors for autumn skin tone?

Each skin tones breaks down into 3 categories. I'm not sure where I should be, one thing I know is that I'm autumn-skinned. I kind of have a mix of yellow, golden and beige. (But, beige and gold seems to be more dominant)

So I already have normal contact lenses that I wear daily (they are monthly contacts) and I love them and never have and problems. I was going to get colored contacts when i ordered them and got my first box but they only had really boring natural looking ones and they were for astigmatism which I don't have. How to convince my dad to let me get contact lenses?

So im supposed to wear glasses, but my sinus are almost always swollen and it hurts to wear my glasses, ive already got the middle of my glasses where my nose goes to get it stretch under heat, but it still hurts and my dad just will not agree because he thinks im exaggerating, but im not.and i already know they can get expensive, but in my opinion it is something i kinda need…

Could my eye be seriously hurt?

I had a problem removing my contact lenses today - it was difficult because I had accidentaly fallen asleep with them in for a couple of hours.
I got one out, but the other one somehow went far behind my eyelid and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to move. I finally got it out after about 4 hours and my eye was red, irritated, sore and wouldn't stop watering. Now it's been about 12 hours since I got it out and my eye is still very red, narrowed and irritated. I used eyedrops for irritated and infected eyes and it feel a bit better now - it doesn't water as much and I can keep it open without problems, it just still doesn't look very well and is a bit sore.

I've been using contact lenses for several years and this has never happened before. Could I have seriously hurt my eye by trying to get the lense out? Do I need to go see an eye doctor or is it no big deal?

Can the people you live around affect who you are?

Ok so I am mixed Indian and Trinidadian and I live in burlington Ontario. All I see around me is blonde haired, blue eyed people. I myself have natural black hair and dark brown (practically black) eyes, but Ive dyed my hair blonde before and I wear blue, green, and amber contact lenses. I also desire to have thin lips (as I have bigger lips).Is it just my preference or is it really where I live?

I've had rigid contact lenses for a couple of years and I still have blurry vision?

I've had then for at least 3 to 4 years by now and my vision's still pretty blurry.
But there are times when I don't wear them for a night or I wear them when I'm still awake for hours thus making my eyes dry.
Could my dry eyes be what's effecting my vision or could it be something else? :(

I had gotten the lenses because my eyesight kept getting progressively worse every year and I was told to wear these lenses at night. But the reason I'm worried is that my eyesight had gotten better to the point where my prescription had lowered to a little lower than 1.00 and I didn't need my 1.00 glasses as often but now it's been getting worse and I've been needing my glasses for almost everything.

Which lenses and hair color would suit me?

I'd like to change my looks 'cause I'm not happy with it right now. I've got green eyes, curly dark brown hair with natural reddish highlights which are mostly seen in light, pale skin. I'm 5'4'' and 97 lbs. I'd like to get lensens in color and I wonder will I look better with them? And will caramel hair suit me better or just stay the same?

I was wondering. If an actor has been wearing color contact lenses his entire life and then he has to make some head shots to send to casting directors, is it misleading to wear them?

Why do people say I look like a lesbian?

There is this guy in college that said that I look like a lesbian and now I am really self conscious.

In a way I can understand why because I am very fat (213 lb) and I have broad shoulders because I used to do a lot of competitive swimming.

But on the other hand, I have long dark brown hair that comes to my lower back with a side fringe (although I don't style it), I wear skinny eans in dark blue or black, I sometimes wear white lacy tops and I have a cream sheer shirt I wear with a neutral tank top underneath, I always wear make-up (mascara, eyeshadow, lip balm with a tiny bit of lipstick) and I pluck my eyebrows and wear contact lenses.

I admit I used to be 100% tomboy but I have become a lot more girly and I still have a couple of old tops. I never wear hoodies since I have swapped them for thin cardigans in plain colours that come down to my bum.

Is there any way I can look girlier baring in mind I am definetly plus size?

I guess I just let him get to me, him and his friend (who is a lesbian) have made up their own code words and they keep calling me Beth (which they mean as an ugly girl). I know I shouldn't let them get to me but it still hurts.

I made a pair of glasses about a week ago but i hate it.i've always wanted contact lens but i don't know why i decided to make the glasses haha.so now the problem is i don't know how to tell my dad? because the glasses cost $150 & i feel bad because my dad might think that i wasted his money on the glasses:( help me!

GPC and 2 week contacts?

Back in 2010 I developed GPC after wearing 2 week contacts successfully for about 6 years or so. I had never had any problems, and wore my 2 week contacts for about a month. (Same thing that my mother does). While I was out of the country, I began wearing circle lenses during the day and wearing my 2 week contacts at night (sleeping in them the whole night). Then in the morning I'd put in the same pair of circle lenses (they are good for a year). About a month later I started developing GPC, but I didn't know it. I didn't go to the eye doctor until November. I was diagnosed and put on eye drops and told not to wear contacts until my eyes healed. I used the drops and wore glasses until the eye doctor told me I could go back to lenses.
When I went back to lenses, I switched to the dailies. I have been wearing dailies for 2 years now and haven't had any problems. Now it's time for me to get another order of contacts, and I'm wondering if I can go back to the 2 week contacts (and actually wear them for 2 weeks instead of a month and not sleep in them). I would gladly stay with daily contacts, but they are just too expensive.It's much cheaper for me to get enough 2 week ones for a year.
I'm just wondering if it's likely that I will get GPC again from wearing 2 week lenses instead of dailies. Has anyone done this? Or are dailies really the only contact option after GPC? I'm assuming my GPC is healed since I have worn dailies for a year without problems… I'm just worried that it will come back if I switch to the 2 week!
Anyone out there with a history of GPC that wears 2 week ones?
I heard of some people getting GPC and then trying to wear dailies and they can't even wear those because their eyes just won't take lenses anymore… but my eyes have been fine with the dailies…

I went to the eye doctor's today and got a trial pair of new contacts that they said I have to wear for a week. I've had contacts for a few years now. I'm at my friends house right now and I really want to go to sleep but I dont have my case or solution. I know its bad to sleep in my contacts but I dont know what else I can do because I'm supposed to wear these to my next appt.So I can't throw them away. Plase help! Thanks .

Why a lot of dark skin people in the world finds the white skin as a sign of beauty?

As a non white person i can see it clearly around me .. youtube, google, twitter even in Y/A .. of course i dont mean the non whites who lives in the west .. but the rest who lives in the middle and far east of asia they does .. they see white skin and blonde hair as a superior thing .. and they dislike their dark skin tone! they even try to bleach their skin and dye their hair blonde .. contact lenses and so on .. why they are not proud of their own race or at least stay calm and cool and not try to be white?

When I used Acuvue 1-day, things started to go bad?

When I put them on I felt shaky and I couldn't hear and I started to faint for like 2 minutes, what does that mean, can I still use contacts and which one would be the best for me?

I didn't notice until now, a few weeks after I got my new lenses but my right eye is seeing notably worse than my left, sitting at my couch playing Xbox, I'm actually having trouble reading some things but my left is nice and sharp… Will they find the source of the problem and fix it for free? I've already had 3 replacements done on my left. Messed one up pretty bad, payed 50 bucks to get a new one and it had hundreds of scratches in a ring… And then they gave me a replacement for that and it had the same problem, and the lens I have now on my left is okay but there are still a few light scratches I didn't bother to complain about. Anyway, I'm afraid they'll lose their pacience with me so should I incist that it be free if the resist?
Added (1). My right eye doesn't seem to be strained. I try's on a 4 year old pair and found that although they were blurry, both lenses were equal in clarity.

Does wearing old eyeglasses hurt your eyes?

I got new glasses about 2 months ago and today I got them fitted to my face. After I got home later that night and I put them one of the lenses fell out. I still had a pair of my old glasses but I wasn't sure if they would hurt my eyes. I did a little bit of research and none of the people had the exact same problem as me. I just wanted to know if by doing this, only for about an hour or so, wil hurt my eyes?
