Can wash with tap water with soap them boil it and let it air dry? Would that work? And add some soultion to clean it up to after all that?

How to back up everything on my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 5 and I'm taking it to the apple store today due to a lens defect. I'm guessing that they'll replace it. Prior to going, I'd like to store all of my pictures/contacts/videos where I can easily get them on my new phone. I've heard about iCloud but I don't have any pictures on my photo stream so I don't know if that would work?

Is it normal to not have 20/20 vision in the weak eye?

I don't know if my loss of acuity in one eye is from the lazy eye/droopy eyelid that I have but I have about 20/30 in my left eye. But my perfect sniper eye (right eye) that's really important for many things such as marksmanship etc, has 20/13 vision.

Will my right eye get as bad as the left? Or is it going to say 20/13 (better than 20/20).

I don't understand my eye prescription, but i purchased some glasses online using the details shown?

I've noticed that my right eye is much weaker than my left. When i close my left eye, it's really blurry and almost impossible to make out words clearly. I decided to visit an optometrist and she did an eye test. I was told something about her changing the magnitude of my left slightly seeing as there was a great difference between my eyes. Once i received the prescription, i went online to clearly.com to purchase a pair. This was my first time buying glasses, but i just followed the prompts. My prescription reads:

Right: Sphere - , Cyl -0.5, Axis 180
Left: Sphere -1.25, Cyl -, Axis -

It also said lens design was SV distance, with special recommendations as 'balance'.

Anyhow, I bought my glasses and i tried them on. I noticed that my left eye was much clearer with them on but it made no difference to my right. I tried closing my left eye with glasses on, and i could still barely see anything. Was there a problem with the prescription? Or did perhaps enter prescription details incorrectly (I double checked to see that they matched though!). Please give me suggestions.

Eyes hurt bad when put on contact lenses?

My soft contact lenses (With power) can last for a year and I only use it for a month after that when I put one on it hurt so bad as if there is something in my eye I can't even open them especially on the top of my eye where the eyelid covers and I had to force myself to open and take it off my eye will turn red and teary but everything is fine when it's removed. It never happened to me like this and I have had used it before it was fine. I heard there might be a crack or something that causes the irritation but when I looked at the contact lenses I don't see any damages and I use the same solutions that I know I'm not allergic too.
Added (1). Do I have to go back to my optician for check up or is there any options?
Added (2). I forgot to mention it only hurts when I put on my left eye the right one is fine
Added (3). And I do rinse and clean my contacts very well before putting them on:)

I think i need glasses?

Hello. Ive started to realize in school, that its hard for me to focus on projections on the board, and that I think I'm starting to have the need for eyeglasses today, in Chemistry, my teacher was giving a presentation through PowerPoint I and I noticed i had a hard time seeing the words without focusing for a bit or without squinting a little for a brief period, but not as much to notify the teacher of a problem. For having a natural tendency of curiosity and the desire to become an Ophthalmologist, I searched this up and checked out medical textbooks from out library to check the optical section. I found the definition of this condition is almost identical to my problem. I have trouble seeing from far away, and concluded that I'm starting to grow shortsighted. Currently, I have one really terrible eye and another eye that's a little worse than 20/20. I looked up a section in one textbook, and it said that sometimes, a person can have one eye, that will always remain worse than the other, called "Amblyopia" but mine can be corrected with glasses. Another section mentioned that one eye can get bad before the other, and thus causing. One eye to be worse than the other, before the other starts to grow impaired as well. My friend has glasses, and I tried them on, and it fixed the problem perfectly. Ive even covered each eye to test if both become corrected. Another suspect was "Pseudomyopia" which is a delayed change in the optical muscles to alter the lens to focus properly.
Added (1). However, that's temporary and I first noticed this problem about 2 years ago, so that's not the culprit. My mother had myopia as a child, so I'm thinking that she passed the problem on to me genetically, either way, all I want to know is, do I need glasses? Because to my research, the answer is indefinable yes.

Added (2). Oh and just to let you know, I don't have headaches or any other symptoms in general of myopia other than correctable blurry vision. Although headaches are a rare side effect, I'm just saying in general.

Can I wear contacts that are lower than my prescription? - 1

About a month ago, i went to see my eye doctor and he told me my eye got worse by 0.75.By the way i am 13. At that time I had contact lenses with a prescription of -4.00 on both eyes. So that would mean my eyes are now -4.75. My mother told me she wasnt going to buy me new contacts because they were too expensive and told me that it was ok to wear the same contacts. I now have my new glasses with my new prescription, but i continue to use my old glasses because then i can use my contacts. My only worry is if it is affecting my eyes. Also, i was wondering if i can wear my new glasses and my old contacts at the same time. Should I wear my old contacts?

P.S: Is an increment of 0.75 in my eyes during two years normal? I would love if someone could reply!

Eye pressure, pain, trouble with contact lenses?

I had a sudden onset of severe dizziness with headache some time last week and ever since then I started having issues with eye pressure, pain and problems with my contact lenses. I used to be able to wear contact lenses all day like 8 am till midnight or even later with no problem. However, now I can't even go 2 hrs with wearing contact lenses… The moment i get up, i start having a headache which isn't bad at all, just a bit annoying. Then once i get to my office my eyes start hurting like pressure pain and about 5 hrs later wearing contact lenses i get extremely blurry vision. I dont know what's causing what. Headaches causing eye pressure pain or eye pressure pain causing headaches. My annual eye check-up is coming up (June) but i just wanted to know if anybody had this issue…

Where to get tinted contact lenses WITHOUT prescription?

I have severe light sensitivity and it causes me not only eye strain but also chronic migraines due to the strain on my muscles. I would like to get some tinted contact lenses to take care of the problem, but I was searching online and I have never worn contacts before so I am really confused with everything. Also many tinted searches just bring up regular colored lenses (which wont help me cause they don't cover the pupil) and not fully-covered tinted lenses that will also cover the pupil.

I don't have trouble seeing, So I DON'T NEED THEM TO BE PRESCRIPTION. Just tinted for the light sensitivity. I think I will need them to be fairly dark, but not to be like sunglasses cause I will need to see well indoors as well.

If you know where I can just buy some like this without having to see the eye dr. First please let me know and please link me to the store too if possible! Thank you so much!

My doctor prescribed contacts from years ago are now discontinued?

when i first got contacts, my eye doctor gave me o2 optix and now my contacts expired
so i need new ones, and i figured i have a prescription on my contacts. Why not just get them online to save money cause i'm just a college student.

well ox optix are discontinued and the contacts site recommended to just upgrade to air optix,
idk if i should or go to the doctor and get reassessed for a new brand
or should i stick to the optix brand.

i think they're supposed to be better.

I need to get new contacts for my eyes soon.
I was wanting colored ones but i don't like the ones I've used before like when you blink they move you can tell they look fake and stupid in my opinion.

I have brown eyes so I know ppl with green or blues eyes can get a regular lenses with a tint that make their eye color pop out? Is there anything I can get with brown eyes that can make it pop or is it still the same?

and if not is there a color that might blend with my eye and still give it a nice tint to it id have to wear them all the time cause I'm blind ha. So i wouldn't want it to be halloween 24/7 but making my eyes unique would be nice

My doctor prescribed me Extreme H20 54% lenses with a BC value of MED! Anybody know what it means? I know there're 8.4 and 8.8 for Acuvue. Please help! I want to switch to Acuvue Oasys.

I see blurry when my contact lenses are on for two days?!

I've been using contacts for 3 years and itnever caused a problem like this. The brand im using is acuvue oasys which lets you sleep for 3 days day and night with them but i never wear them when i'm sleeping. Yesterday one of my eyes completely got blurry and all i can see was a like a cloudy image. I thought the contacts were the problem and i threw them away. Then i put on new ones and nothings changed! After a while the situation became the same. I tried pouring some contact solution through my eye and it help for only 5 seconds and than it becomes blurry again. Today is the second day and it even got worse and my other eye seemed to be going cloudy too. I'm at school dormitory out of no where i dont have my glasses with me, nor some artificial tears (i think they wouldn't even help now). I now threw my contacts away but i have myope and o feel really uncomfortable. What can be the cause of this blurryness? Is it dry eyes? Please help

I have a normal eye test at boots opticians tomorrow. I am supposed to wear glasses but i hate them so don't.

I was considering contacts, but I'm not sure what it would cost me!

I am partially sighted in one eye, but the sight is so bad that no sense will help. Am i correct in thinking you buy lenses as individuals and not pairs? Seeing as I'd only need one!

I prefer the hard ones, which you also have to clean with solution.

Why do contact lenses dry out my eyes?

Ever since i got contact lenses, I've had a really annoying problem… My eyes dry out and get really uncomfortable. ESPECIALLY when looking at my computer screens… I have eyedrops that are supposed to lubricate the lenses inside my eyes, but they dont seem to be working to well. Why do they get so dry on the computer screens? I broke my glasses this morning, and I'll need to wear contact lenses until i can get replacements.

Why do they not give me a problem during the day, but become dry when i look at computer screens?

I have glasses but I feel like is not that strong. I am nearsighted, and somehow I can't see what is written on the board but when I try to squint my eyes I see a bit better. Btw I spent $160 for these glasses, would I have to pay again if I needed to?

Wrong Contact Prescription?

I am medium level nearsighted (can't see distance) but for the past 2 years (I have the old boxes) I've had a +4 prescription contact for the left (lazy eye from childhood) and a +.5 for the right, which is also minimally nearsighted. I have read online that nearsighted correction is valued in - numbers, and many others I know that are nearsighted have negative numbers on their boxes (not including astigmatism correction which I fear also may be incorrect if the power has been). Did my fitter forget to switch the sign or something from the eye exam?

Prk bandage contact lenses?

I had Prk done last Wednesday, and I am very pleased with the results, I see very good now up close and far away, they put bandage contacts in my eyes and wanted to leave them in until August 31st which is a pretty long time for me considering I got the procedure done due to super dry eyes and many contacts drying out problems, and now it feels like they are starting to dry out. Everybody else who has had this done told me that the contacts are supposed to come out 3-4 days after surgery they have been now in their fifth day. My question is with the experience I have with contacts like cleansing my hands, not scratching my eye with my fingernails, etc. Cant I just pop them out myself? My family says doc has a special tool but how can this be? Isnt it a contact? I know for a fact that with my eyes if a contact drys up it hard to get out and turns into plaster in my eye, I cant let this happen with the bandage contacts, today is Sunday, and I have been using rewetting drops with no difference? Can I remove them carefully myself? Or should I not try it?
Added (1). Also I have been sleeping in these, I dont know if that makes a difference or not?

After failing DMV Vision test, Dr. Wrote on dmv form that I was not safe to drive?

My regular eye Dr. Was on vacation. The substitute doctor did not even give me a new contact or lens prescription even my eyesight had gotten worse since my last exam. I have not gone back to the dmv yet. Should I see another Dr. And get stronger contacts or eyeglasses? Thank You.

EYE glasses FASHION?

Okay so long story short, I bought some glasses that were very cheap off a little store in the city and when I look through the lenses, everything was colorful. The sky/sun was multi color. It was so cool. I lost those and tried finding them again online and can’t seem to find them. I ordered 2 glasses in the past 2 months that have this blue multicolored lense from the outside but when i look through them, they’re just plain sun blocking glasses. Just a regular black tint. It’s not what I wanted and was hoping someone could suggest maybe a name to these kind of glasses. The glasses I uploaded are the ones that were just regular tint but the lenses are definitely similar to the ones I liked. Thanks!

Why does my left eye hurts when I tried to put on contacts lenses?

I had no problem putting contacts on my right eye but it hurts when I tried putting it on my left eye especially on the upper right part of my iris. When I bought the contacts, they helped me put it on and I didn't feel any pain. I do not have any eye problems or experiencing pain, just at times when I'm infront of the monitor or staying up late doing projects.

Should I get new glasses?

So I've had the saaaaame prescription for more than 4 years I want to say. I've also had the same glasses for more than 4 years, so a couple months ago I went to get an eye exam because I wanted to get new glasses and since I haven't had one in a long time. I bought new glasses about two weeks ago and when they came in I tired them on and my lenses didn't look the same… Like it felt strange to look through them idk how to explain like if you look through someone else's glasses and you can't really see because they're prescription is different from them. Well when I put on my new glasses I felt like I was looking through my grandmas glasses it just didn't look right. I can't see things far away and with these glasses it looks kinda weird when I look far away like I can't even see far awAy with them on, they just look so different! Could it be because I've been used to wearing the same glasses? My only lenses had a lot of scratches on them could that have affected my eyes since I was so used to looking through scratched lenses? Could it be because the eye lady got my prescription wrong? I don't wear these glasses every day because of what I just described so I wear my old ones but they're so scratched. I want to go into the medical field but do not know what field?

I want to go into the medical field but do not know what field I should pursue. I'm looking for something that does not involve too many years of schooling and that does not involve any kind of surgery or anything like that. So far these are the careers I have researched. I live in the Silicon Valley area of California.

-Sterile Processing Tech:
Their job is to basically clean and sterilize surgical instruments. I was close to perusing this but heard that it is very hard to get a job now in this field.

-Medical Assistant:
Haven't researched much yet about this field, not sure how much schooling i'd need, if it pays well, and if id have to do things such as taking blood or whatnot.

-Radiologic Technologist:
Their job is to take xrays and not sure what else they do. Seems as if you need quite a bit of schooling and it is also hard to get a job in this field.

-Optician:
Their job is to fit eye glass lenses and contact lenses to your eyes, just started looking into this field, seems like doesn't need much schooling, the job outlook seems good, but the pay is around 50K a year less than most of the others. I'm not sure if 50K a year is that great or not.

What do you all think about these careers and are their any similar careers that you all know of that dont involve years and years of schooling and aren't that difficult or stressful.

Will my dark circles go now that I don't wear glasses?

Ok so I'm 12 and I have dark circles and I always like ALWAYS wear glasses and my dark circles make me look horible. I got contact lenses like a week ago and I want to know if my dark circles will go now that I won't be wearing glasses. Is it because that area on my face isn't getting enough light (because my glasses were covering it)? And if it won't get rid of my dark circles any suggestions on how to? I just got contacts recently but forgot to ask my optician about this but is there a certain eye drop I need to get or can I just use any eye drops when my eyes are dry? I use Opti-Free solution to clean my contacts but I'd think I need something different to use as eye drops. Also would it be alright if I wore contacts all day long and I just take them off before going to bed? Sometimes when I am off from work I mainly go on the computer all day long, sometimes up to 20 hours just sitting there playing games, surfing the internet, etc.

I have phoned vision express up where I got my eyes tested to find out what my prescription is so that I can buy my contact lenses online,

They have given me numbers in a format that I don't understand and when it comes to buying contacts the websites are asking for what 'power' contact i need.

Vision express gave me this:
Right eye, -0.00/-0.75x95
Left eye, -0.50/0.75x75

I don't know which number is the 'power' number, can someone help me please?

I Sprayed A Lens Cleaner Into My Eye?

Ok so I accidentally sprayed my lens cleaner into my eye and it started to sting a tiny bit and i immediately went to wash it out and it still stings a tiny bit but other then that im fine am i gonna be ok it was a brand called vogue optical anti reflective lens cleaner in case if that matters.

What does it mean when the optometrist says you need a -1.75 prescription?

I had an eye test today and the optometrist said my prescription is -1.75. What does that mean and does it mean I have really bad eyesight?

Adderall: Vision/eye problems due to high dosage?

Ok so Im a 15 year old boy, 185 pounds, and I had finals this week. I am diagnosed with ADHD and I take 30mg of Adderall XR daily, but this week I took a lot more pills than I have ever taken before within a weeks time, I have been taking ADHD medication for about 8 years, started off with Adderall, switched to vyvanse, and now I'm back on Adderall, point is, I've had some experience with these medications. Ok so on Tuesday I took a total of 6 pills, 2 in the morning, 3 more about four hours after tthat, and 1 when I got home. Wednesday I only took 1, I took it to keep me awake given the fact that I had gotten no sleep the night before. Thursday I took 3, and Friday (yesterday) I took 5. In total this week, 480mg worth. Yesterday I was experiencing some overdose symptoms but I was able to calm down and try my hardest to ignore them, but the one thing that won't go away is this uncomfortable feeling in my right eye.
I keep on having to blink for longer periods of time, sometimes I just catch myself keeping the eye closed unintentionally due to the irritation, my vision in my right eye is about half of my left eye, similar to the feeling of only having in one contact lens on. I've tried eye drops and that helped with the redness but the pain is still there, I've just noticed that the vision in my right eye is also slightly distorted, so when I move I see slightly double (I have my left eye closed)
Well my question is, does anyone know how long this will last? Or am I screwed?
