How to get prescription glasses?

I want prescription glasses but I don't actually need them. I just want a small one like -0.25 but I don't know how to get a pair without having a doctor sign a prescription for me which wouldn't work anyway because I don't need prescription. Where can I buy them so it won't need prescription verification and it will just give me a pair of glasses with prescription already inside? (don't tell me to buy clear lens glasses or that it will damage my eyes, I don't care. Just please answer the question)

How hard is it to overcome my fear of putting on contact lenses?

My mom and I went to the ophthalmologist together. At first the ophthalmologist tried to put the lenses in for me but I kept on blinking. I was kind of scared and it felt really weird/uncomfortable to have something on my eyes. I later tried it myself but I still didn't succeed as the same thing later. My mom made me leave 20 minutes later, saying that I was a coward for not being able to do something so simple.

How hard is it for me to overcome my fear of contact lenses? Will I ever succeed? How can I do this? I feel unattractive when wearing glasses (I'm a girl).

I'm a girl with glasses. I feel unattractive with glasses on and I tend to take them off wNile taking photos.

I went to the ophthalmologist with my mom. At first, the ophthalmologist tried to put on the contact lenses for me but I kept on closing my eye and the lenses never got it. He then let me tried to put it on myself but I still didn't succeed and kept closing my eye. It just feels so weird/uncomfortable to put something onto your eye.

My mom got really frustrated after around 20 minutes and We just left. She said that I was a coward who couldn't even put on contact lenses and hence I don't deserve them.

What can I do to overcome my fear of having something on my eyes. Will I ever succeed?

Contact lenses, need info?!

I wanted to ask how exactly do contact lenses work, like do you have to get ones that are for 6 months and than buy a new pair 6 months later or can you buy ones that you can use for very long until they like rip or your eyesight has changed? How much do you think they would cost (canadian$) if I bought the very long time ones. I don't want laser eye surgery or contact implants I'm too young to get it anyways. Please reply!:)

'm thinking about getting circle lenses for a dress up event, would -0.00 be just nothing. No power in the contact lenses? Just for the color?

Can you use clear eyes for contact lens wearers eye drops when not wearing contact lens?

The directions say for use while wearing contacts but I was wondering if I could use it when Im not wearing them like when I take them off or just use it as regular eye drops.

Circle Overlapping Area - Help?!

Hey guys. I'm studying maths at AS-level, and just finished the unit on circles. We learnt about completing the square to get the radius, centre co-ordinates etc. We also did the equation of a tangent too, that's about as much as the chapter covered. I like a challenge so asked my teacher for some extension questions; this is the hardest one I have ever been given. Could someone begin to explain how to go about this simply without incredibly long formulas and actually talk me through the process? Thanks guys.

I wear contacts, is this bad for my eyes?

I wear monthly contact lenses, the kind you take out at night. I think you're not suppose to wear them more than 8 hours but I want to be able to wear them through the entire day when I'm awake and moving about. Is it bad for my eyes to wear them and take them out for a few hours to rest my eyes before putting them back in for the rest of the day?

Does Target Optical exchange contact lenses?

I went to Target optical last week and when they did my eye exam they didn't have any contact samples for me. So I went ahead and ordered my contacts anyways, and they ordered me some free samples as well. I only ordered my contacts without trying any samples because Ive always used Air Optix, never have had a problem with that brand.
So I get home and they call to tell me that Air Optix does hold contacts for my prescription and that if it was okay if they just ordered me SofLen for astigmatism. I said yes. I didn't think it'd be a huge deal.
Okay now my problem is, today I went to go pick up my contacts. I got home and tried the free samples they ordered and I do not like them at all! Every time I blink they shift, and they are very uncomfortable. I have not opened the boxes of contacts, only the samples. Will Target Optical exchange my contacts? For another brand? Or can I get refund?

Has anyone ever returned contacts at Target?

Are Freshlook Colors Contacts one or double tint?

Right now, I have violet contacts. The violet does show up on the brown, but sometimes my eyes look gray. I've been hearing about how double tint are better for darker eyes, and I was wondering does anyone know if Freshlook Contacts are double tint? Also, there is a color called Aqua, I was wondering if any of you have tried it and have dark eyes. Does the color show up?

Ok, so I'm making research on the subject of the 70s-80s and would like to hear some personal opinions. I know that during the 80s people were using contact lenses, but what about the 70s? Convert astigmatism prescription to normal contact lens prescription?

Hi I have recently been switched by my optometrist to astigmatism contact lenses as she says my eyes have changed and cannot wear the normal ones anymore. However I really do not like the astigmatism ones (they are way more uncomfortable and make my eyes really tired). My optometrist has however told me I cannot go back to normal lenses.

Can anyone tell me how to convert my current prescription back to normal lenses?

My current glasses prescription is:
Right - Sph -3.50, Cyl -1.00, Axis 162.0
Left - Sph -3.00, Cyl -1.25, Axis 160.0

My currentl contact lens prescription is:
Rght - Sph -3.25, Cyl -0.75, x160
Left - Sph -3.00, Cyl -1.25, x 160

If someone could convert it to normal lenses I would be so grateful!

Is it possible for a lens to slip behind the eyeball?

So i tried to take out my lens, and i cloudnt, it slippped to the side and it hurt really much, after a while i couldnt find it and the eye was really sore, but i didnt take it out since i couldnt do it. I thought it went behind my eye and slept during the night thinking it would come out. It has now been 5 days and i cant feel anything, not even as if the lens is "dry". Maybe it cant become dry since it is behind the eye and doesnt come in contact with the air.
I have a weird sensation in my eye, maybe it is something i am thinking but it might be the lens. Is it out or should i go to a doctor?

How to make eyes like these in photoshop?

I tried using lens flare and it doesnt work. Intensity too low makes their eyes still visible and scaling it too big takes up the whole picture. I want their eyes to be covered in the glow while you can still see some of it coming out of their eyes

Worried about glasses prescription?!

Yesterday i had an eye exam.
I have 20/25 vision and astigmatism.
They prescribed me with -1.00&-1.25 i think.
But now that I think back i realized that i could see a few things that i said I couldn't on the lines because he went so fast! The lenses he showed made them clearer.
I know I can't see well but is it normal to be worried about this?
Im so scared it'll be wrong and i won't be able to see clearly!
I get my glasses in about 6 days from Walmart.

Something strange happening?

Well basically I'll be standing or sitting still and my glasses are squeaky clean then all of a sudden I'll see a smudge on my glasses. Normally this would be done by me but it's not because it happens out of nowhere and I notice when it happens. ( I don't touch my glasses before I notice the smudge). I used to think it was my eyes watering and squirting against the lens but I try cleaning the inside and nothing happens but when I clean the outside it wipes clear… Meaning it was done by something outside of my eyes the WEIRD part is sometimes I see fingerprints on the outside of the lens which makes no sense since I am certain I am not the one doing this and it happens all day long. What could this be?

Red eyes for 2 1/2 weeks?

Both my eyes have been red for 2 1/2 weeks, no pain no itchyness, i visited my gp and he gave me eye drops, but they dont seem to work. I have no contact lenses, i had lasek eye surgery 1 year ago. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Oakley sunglasses worth the price?

I am thinking of getting my husband a pair of Oakley's as a birthday gift. I am specifically looking at the Oakley GasCan Polarized. They are around $150. He has very light sensitive eyes, but he is not one to care about the brand of an item. Are the oakley's worth the cost? Are they good quality lens and frames? Are the polarized lens worth the extra cost? I have only bought cheap sunglasses before.

Can you wear Ortho-K and still wear circle lenses during the day?

I'm interested in wearing colored circle lenses for cosplay. However, I also wear Ortho-K for cornea correction at night. (if you do not know what Ortho-K is, please do not answer this question:P) I was wondering whether or not it is safe to wear these lenses even though I use Ortho-K? Does Ortho-K shape your eyes in any way so that you cannot use normal circle lenses? I'm also assuming you would not have to get prescriptioned lenses since Ortho-K already does that? Thank you~

19 and heaps of floaters in my eyes?

Hi I am 19 years old and nearsighted (myopia) -3.75 and in the past year I've been suffering from anxiety with many things and recently I've noticed I have quite a lot of floaters in both my eyes that take the shape of squiggles, worms, circles and other random shapes. I especially notice one big connected one in my right eye. There are tiny ones right near my central vision. I've been wearing contact lenses for 2.5 years and went for my last exam 8 months ago and got a quick retinal photo check and the optometrist said my eyes are very very healthy and that he can't even tell I've been wearing contact lenses. Then why have I got so many dozen floaters?! Please help, thank you!

Why do my contact lenses hurt all of a sudden?

I wear my lenses during school, and take them our when i get home, 5 days a week. No real issues, no pain save a little dryness towards the end of the day. Last weekend i took them out on Friday, and when I tried to put them in on Monday, both of them hurt so bad I had to take them out immediately and wear my glasses the rest of the day. I've tried almost every day since, even with a new pair, new case, and new moisturizing drops- but no luck.
I have a hard time believing it might be my eyes that are causing the pain. A google search told me that my lenses might be the wrong size, but how would my eyes change over one weekend? The pain that is associated with it seems about what I'm experiencing, though- like there's something in my eye i can't get out while the lenses are in.

Two separate and different eyeglass prescriptions? How is this possible?

When I was two, I was diagnosed as far-sighted and wore very heavy prescription glasses until I was 14 when I no longer needed glasses. I went for eye exams every two years and did not need prescriptions. I am now 29 and telecommute from a computer all day. I have been getting eye strain, red eyes, headaches, and nausea/dizzyness for a few months now, especially when on a computer. I went to a new optometrist and did a complete eye exam, including fundus photos and dilation. This is the prescription he wrote me:
OD:
Sphere: plus075, Cylinder: minus025, Axis: 117
OS:
Sphere: plus025, Cylinder: minus025, Axis: 177
He checked off SV, P.D. Near (not distance), and plastic

Then I decided to do another experiment. I wanted to see if I went to another optometrist if he would give me the same or different prescription. This is what the other one gave me:
OD: PC OR PL (Can't read his handwriting)/ minus0.25x115
OS: minus0.25/minus0.25/004

When I went to get the eyeglasses made- they said I should get both. The first prescription for the computer/anything involving less than nine feet, the second prescription for driving at night/anything involving more than nine feet.

Should I get both glasses or one? How is it possible to get two totally different prescriptions- one saying I'm nearsighted, the other saying I'm far-sighted and with different axis?

I've seen it a lot in Korean and Japanese girls, but those are usually models and celebrities. But in regards to people I actually know, I've seen a lot of Vietnamese girls wear the lenses. That's why that nationality is in the question.

How to get contacts?

I am 20 years old with astigmatism, I dont think that I have HORRIBLE eyesight, but it's not perfect either. I can definitely tell that my right eye is way worse then my left. I have been wearing glasses for almost 10 years now, and everytime I get a pair they always break. With the insurance I have ( T.O.N,Y ) I am only allowed to get a pair every 2 years and the pair I just got ( March ) they are now broken, I have super glued them back together but now my lenses has glue on them which I just scraped out, now has scratches on them, So there currently sitting on my bookshelf with toothpaste on them to remove the scratches. I love my glasses, but someone always manages to break them, Im tired of stressing on how to fix them and how to put them back together and going months without wearing them. As I am writing this I am centimeters away from my tv squinting, which is quite painful, I wanted to know the process of getting contacts? My insurance is Today's Options Of New York & Medicaid. So I wanted to know would that cover contacts? I cannot afford to pay the whole amount of contacts because Im pretty sure there not cheap. I am tired of trying to keep up with them and hold on to them to have them fixed, I dont want to be McGyver anymore, I want to wear contacts and not have to worry about waiting 2 year's for a new pair. Can someone help me figure out how to convince my doctor for contacts? Thank You
