I'm planning to be a porcelain doll for Halloween, and I decided that the Japanese Lolita clothing was a really good style of clothing for my costume. I've got everything that I need ordered (circle lens, fake lashes, etc.) but for some reason I can't find a good dress. I've been on at least 10 websites, and then went to see reviews about the site because I don't want to be scammed. Well, all of those turned out to be fake sites that copy pictures and give you crap clothes! I need to find a not too pricy, and not too showy dress before it's too late for me to order.please help! For people with contact lenses: any tips on how to use them?
I just some contacts yesterday, it's really weird! I can kind of feel the bottom edges of them on my eyes… and everything is so clear it's a little disorienting, haha. I've been having some trouble taking them out too.
How long did it take you to get used to them? What kind of solution do you like best? Easiest way to remove them?

One of my pupils is huge!
So a little earlier I tried to put in my colored contact lenses but it hurt too much since I don't ever use them. Now the eye I put the contact in burns and the pupil is enormous compared to the other.It still dilates when I look into the light, but is this a cause for concern?

I've been using eye contact lenses since like 1 month.So I don't have a solution anymore, it's empty now I used it all. Today I bought a new one from a store. Now my old one says that it:
1. Cleans
2. Disinfects
3. Stores
4. Rinses
5. Wets
6. Removes protein
The new one I bought it only says Stores, rinses and wets.
Now does that make a big difference? Should I buy a new solution or the new one is enough and those others aren't necessary? Thanks in advance!

My contact lens sting?
I'm stating in Montana for thanksgiving until Monday. On the ride here, my shampoo bottle leaked onto some of my clothes an possibly my contact case.So at night I put my contacts into the case (after rinsing it out) and went to bed.
This morning I tried Putting the right one in and it stung, so I took it out ASAP. I looked at the left contact and it is big a bit bigger and floppy. I only have one pair of lenses and I'm using optifree replenish.

Before the solution i had burned my eyes when putting them on but was easy to remove them now i have opti free solution with hydraglyde and it doesnt hurt to put it in my eye but BURNS to remove why?

I play water polo, and i have practice everyday for 2 hours
Chlorine gets in my eyes and they get really really red.

No I don't do drugs thank you very much.No drinking or smoking. This happens even if i DONT get chlorine in my eyes while swimming! But it only gets really bad around chlorine, which i'm hoping rules out an eye infection?
When i wake up my eyes are also much less red, but still red/pinkish.It kinda looks like my irises are bleeding a light red/pink
So what could this be?

What if I want to use my Clear Care contact lenses earlier than 6 hours?
I am off the opinion that if I wanted to use my clear care contacts earlier than the mandated six hours, I could just use a regular contact lens cleaner, (Opti-Free) for instance, to rinse the Clear Care cleaner off and wear my contacts.Is this opinion correct?

How long will it take for contact lenses to come in?
I plan to get new contacts at Walmart. Unfortunately I'm nearly blind… I got glasses at Lens Crafters, and they had to order my glasses (originally they would only take 2 hours). The glasses did not come for 2 weeks. Any idea on when my contacts will come in?

When I put my contact lens in [right eye], it felt super weird and my eye was watering very badly.It became red and kinda burned a little.My left eye was fine, and it felt like nothing was even there. What the best protective eye wear whilst doing sports?
I`m wear glasses on a day to day.My eye score is I think -2 or something not sure I need to check but I love doing sports Handball, Volleyball, Football, Basketball you name it I love it. But I cant use my everyday glasses because they'll break at some point and always fall off so I need protective eye wear whilst being able to see as clearly as my everyday glasses. Also I don't want to wear contact lenses as that leaves my eyes unprotected. Lastly all the company's I find are based in America so I need a store most preferably Central London.

My new glasses are blurry and are making me dizzy?
I got an eye test for contact lenses back in March but I didn't find them comfortable so last week (first week of October) I ordered glasses from the same prescription. I've been wearing them for a day and a half now and they're still quite blurry. I don't know if it's my eyes adjusting or if they made a mistake with the prescription? Is it normal to almost faint?
I have recently started to see my optometrist about contact lenses. Today I had like a trail to see if I feel comfortable wearing them at first the man put them in my eye and took them out then put them in again and said ok go and see if you can get it out yourself. I was trying for about five minutes then I lost colour felt weak, blurry vision etc.etc. He stopped me before I fainted and all was well but, he said it was normal for people around my age (14) to feel odd and have "mini" faints because it's the first time they have really touched there eye in such way.
Now my question would be is it normal to 'nearly' faint around you're first time or was he just saying that to be kind.
Also I hadn't eaten all day so I was hungry while there if that can affect with anything.

I got my eyes tested on wednesday at Boots optitcians and it's now friday, the woman said we'll give you a call at some point. I forgot to ask her how long it will take to make my lens for my glasses etc.

Could a child born with infant cataract has a normal life?
I posted a couple of weeks ago about a young child who was born with infant cataract, which one had been removed and then, a few years later, lenses implanted.
At now 9 year old, his vision is not great and there is amblyopia.
If someone experience the same thing, could you please tell me if the person can read, watch TV, use intensively a computer and eventually and with glasses, when at age, can see enough to drive a car.
Will necessary his vision becomes worse with age or could stay the same, eventually improve a little? Is there any trick to help the brain to connect better, since I think this is part of the problem, not the eye itself?

I went to a local optometrist the other day for a routine eye exam (I wear contact lenses). During my examination the optometrist kept telling me how amazing Brand X contacts were and gave me a trial pair. Afterwards, we negotiated a price and I ordered 8 boxes (2 years worth) of contacts. He told me they would be in by next week and he would email me.
It's been two days since my appointment and I have found my eyes to be irritated regularly throughout the day. This didn't happen with my old contacts. I want to tell him to cancel my order until I've finished my trial period to ensure that these contacts are going to suit me well. The only problem is that as I left I noticed a "No refund" sign.
My question is: If I haven't accepted the product am I contractually obligated to forfeit my right to a refund?
I'm going to call them tomorrow I just thought I'd ask here for the time being while they're closed.

I heard if you never opened your eyes underwater before that if you do it it will hurt. I was wondering that if you use stuff like contact lenses or eye drops alot that it wont hurt as much when you open your eyes underwater because your use to stuff being in your eyes and stuff.So does it?

Why are my new contact lenses so difficult to remove?
I got a new brand of contacts, and I'm not really sure what kind it is. They're very comfortable when I'm wearing them, I can barely feel them. I used to have acuvue oasis and never had problems removing them, but this new kind is nearly impossible to take off! I put artifical tears and soloution in my eye but it doesn't help, and by the time I'm finally able to pry them off my eyes are red and sore :( Any advice?

Ive started to get headaches again, what shall i do?
I used to get headaches a lot during exam season last summer but i got prescribed glasses for reading which seemed to help a lot. Now that i have started to study my a-levels my headaches are back, they come when i dont wear my glasses just like before but they are a lot more painful, and when i put my glasses on sometimes it does not help at all thats if it doesnt make it worse, what shall i do?
I dont want to be having to take painkillers all the time because that is just effort, do i need higher prescription glasses? (please note that the optician also said that my vision was fine, and that they gave me the lowest strength lens on my glasses because their was only a slight problem with my eyes).

Hello, I've been thinking of buying circle lenses in natural color (brown) but I'm not sure If it will fit to school. Right eye is having trouble focusing?
I'm 18 years old, and I received my first pair of glasses two years ago. When the eye doctor examined my eyes, he said that my right eye has an astigmatism, and that my left eye is near-sighted. He also mentioned that my eyes are sensitive to light, and this is common for people with blonde or red hair.In both this first visit and the visit the year after, he had me read letters from a sheet of paper up close, to check on how well my eyes could focus. Both times, I could read them perfectly fine in both eyes. However, after my eyes were dilated, I recall going home and going on the computer for awhile. Sometime after that, I noticed that my right eye was starting to get a bit fuzzy with things up close. I at first thought that this had to do with the eye dilation and being on the computer afterwards (with the bright screen), since this happened just after that event, but all the people I told this to told me that they don't think that would cause it.
I've been worried about this, though. Both my eyes are near-sighted, but my astigmatism eye can see better from a distance than my regular near-sighted eye.So I found it very odd when my right eye started having trouble focusing on close objects. I'm supposed to be seeing the eye doctor next week because of this.
Other things to know, are that I have dry eyes from using the computer a lot over the course of a few years, eye makeup will often fall into my eyes, and it usually takes me awhile to get out, especially at the corners (where sleep will usually be), and this is why I try not to use it as often. Also, the people crafting my lenses can never get the left lens exactly right. I lost the first pair, and when they recrafted the lenses, the left lens seemed even more off than before. On my second appointment, my eyesight didn't change, which seems to be unusual because my doctor said that eyesight usually changes after wearing glasses for awhile for the first time.My glasses still work well regardless in both eyes, even though the left lens still isn't fully right. I've had three "eye burning" sensations since I first started wearing glasses. One time was when I was on the computer for awhile, and my left eye started stinging all of a sudden. I wasn't sure whether this came out of nowhere or was because of the acne medication I was using (I know that I'm sensitive to benzoyl peroxide, but I dab it onto acne when I have it bad, and it was bad at the time.) The other time was while I was reading with my glasses on by a lamp at night, and then it happened to my right eye for a bit. Again, I had on the benzoyl peroxide, so that may have been the cause, or the low cast of my eyes at the time had something to do with it. I'm still not sure, though.
I'm just wondering if anybody out there might know what would cause an eye with an astigmatism to start focusing oddly? Would computer use have anything to do with it? Or does this have something to do with an astigmatism? Or something else?

Both my eyes are near-sighted, but my astigmatism eye can see better from a distance than my regular near-sighted eye.So I found it very odd when my right eye started having trouble focusing on close objects. I met ex-date today, I met her after I think 2 months.cut long story short she was acting weird here is what she did in a coffee shop.
1.put drop in her eyes, for contact lenses.
2. Was yawning like a mad buffalo
3.kept scratching her inner thighs
4.had my cookie and a sip from my coffee.
5.worn her shirt inside out.
6.smoked and took biggest dump in coffee shop's dump bin (toilet)

Wearing progressive lenses considering lined bifocals?
I have worn progressive lenses for the past 10yrs. I still hate them. I feel like a bobble head and I hate the fact that when I turn my eyes to look to the left or right all I see is blurry. I am considering the lined bifocal this time around but I'm afraid I'll hate those too. I don't care about the line. Should I be able to wear coloured lenses?
I regularly wear soft contact lenses (prescription) and for Halloween want to wear coloured contacts.My eyes have a tendency to be dry but if I was only wearing these for about an hour and used lubricating drops (as I do with my normal contact lenses) should I be ok? Ive bought freshlook colourblends n the contatcs r too small for my eyes, i can see the blacks of my eye at the edge so should i continue wearing them.if not, what other brands that would fit my eyes?

Ok so you can get an amoeba eye infection if you swim underwater with contact lenses & it is highly recommended you don't go swimming with contacts lenses on without goggles on over them.So why don't they highly recommend that you not swim with your naked eyes open underwater too? Its the same chance you will get the amoeba parasite right? I don't get why they stress about not wearing contacts while swimming! I have worn them while swimming plenty of times.As for them washing out when I reach the surface. I have a trick for that so they dont fall out.It works every time.My contacts have never washed out or bothered me from swimming & other problems either. I have researched & researched about this. I know what experts & people from many walks of life say about wearing contact lenses while swimming, but I want to ask this question anyway & learn a little more from even more people.

I wore contacts about 2 year ago for like a whole year and they did not bother me at all. But then for the summer I started to wear my glasses instead. I when to the eye doctor to get some new one's when school started, but when they came in they hurt like crazy. I thought it was just the brand they had given me, so i told the eye doctor and gave me some new ones in a diffrent brand. But they hurt worse than the other ones. I switch the brad of eye solution used but it wouldn't help.So i just did not wear them anymore. I thought i could have a astigmatism but the eye doctor never told me anything about it.
This year for halloween im going to be in a haunted house so i thought i would go get some crazy contact lense to add to the effect of the makeup. I tried them on and these hurt really bad too.
What could it be…

I really want to wear these contacts for halloween. I they are on the inside out when i put them in. I've tried diffrent kinds of contact even one's with more mositure.

What to do with little tear on my trial contact lense?
I am doing a contact lenses trial that started on Saturday and my right contact has a little tear in it and its harder to put in my eye with it i got mine at Eyemasters. Could i go into Eyemasters and ask for a new pair? (same location)

I really want some crazy colored contacts for Halloween, Either the white ones or maybe the cat kind, either way it doesn't really matter I'm more concerned about the legitimacy of the site of which I get them from & if they are going to hurt my eyes or not. Can I develop a lazy eye?
When I wear my glasses, my left eye sees well while the right eye has very blurry vision. Since that right eye is not used, will it become a lazy eye? Or will something else develop?
I do have hard contact lenses (for keretaconus patients), which gives them both pretty much the same vision, but I cannot wear them often cuz its not healthy.
One thing I try to do is wear a contact lens in ONLY my right eye, so I use it alone for a while. I dunno if this helps prevent anything from developing in that eye.

How can the eye work in total darkness?
I had eye surgery and they put a gas bubble in my eye.In complete darkness(I guarantee complete) I can see the bubble, gray on a black background.It's floating so when I shake my head I can see every movement.In light the bubble seems to act like a lens, magnifying everything.

Oakley Plaintiff Polarized?
I live in Alaska above the arctic circle and we have a 9 month winter where snow is everywhere and the sunlight reflects everywhere the whole time, and the summer has about 90 straight days of sunlight. I was wondering if polarized lenses would be worth the extra money.

So today i got my new box of contacts lenses. When i take out the new lense do i have to put it on the case first with solution; or can i just use them right away when i take it out from the box?

One eye is red from contacts? HELP?
I've been wearing contacts for 2 months now. I have astigmitism lenses but I think I only have astigmitism in my left eye. After 6 hours of wearing contacts my right eye is REALLY red. The next day it's back to normal and the routine repeats. I opened a new pack of contacts and its still happening with my right eye. When I go a week without contacts my eye is fine. But when I wear contacts it gets red again.It does not itch, hurt.It's barley dry.

Why can't I see 20/20 even with contacts?
Well, I already know my vision is bad. I'm farsighted.My left eye is like 20/60 and my right is like 20/50. But even with special rgp lenses I can only see 20/40 out of my left eye and 20/25 out of my right. (20/20 on a really good day) I had a school eye exam today and I couldnt see the 20/20 line in either lenses and the girl was asking if I was sure if they are in I'm like yup… The doctor even said I'm good in these lenses I don't understand help?

Is it possible to get lens glasses with a very small sight adjustment on them?
I really just want to get reading glasses, or maybe even glasses to help me see things a bit more clearly. I do have a small sight problem, but really to be honest the only reason why I want lens glasses is for the looks, so are there any lens glasses out there that have very little to no adjustment at all, and when I go to the eye doctor, what should I tell him?

Eyeglass Lens Prescription Correction?
I just got a new pair of lenses and I'm pretty sure my prescription is off. When I look directly through the center of the lenses its ever so slightly blurry, but when I look through the lenses near the bottom edge everything gets clearer.
Now does that mean my prescription is too strong or my prescription is too weak? I want to order a pair of glasses/lenses online and I don't want to pay more money to get my eyes checked again since my prescription is just a touch off.
Is my spherical correction off?
Is my cylindrical correction off?
Is my axis off?
I know it could be a combination of these, but my prescription is just a touch off so I only want to alter it one or two notches (-0.25 or +0.25) when I put my prescription in online.

1 of my eye contact lenses have dried out, can I re-use it or what?
So here is the story. I've been using eye contact lenses since like 1 month.In the whole 1 month, my eye contact lenses never annoyed me until today. They were always comfortable. Today, they were annoying my the whole day.So like 3 hours ago I scratched my eyes then I see the eye contact went out of my eye. I was at school so I didn't have the case and the solution with me. Is my cartilage peircing infected?
Ok so I got my cartilage or helix whatever it's called done 4 days ago.It was bleeding 1st, 2nd and 4th night and on the 3rd day, is that normal? it might be because I knowcked it or slept on it? The top of my ear and around the peircing is quite red/puple and it's really warm.It was hurting all day yesterday but isn;t hurting today unles I touch it. Sooooo I'm not sure if it's infected or not? i'm using saline solution that I got for Boots, it's the stuff you use for contact lenses, i hope that's the right stuff. HELP: S

I noticed my left eye had been becoming a bit blurry especially when i'm tired.i went to my eye doctor a few months ago & she told me i have slight astigmatism in my left eye while my right eye has 21 (guessing this is because my weaker eye has to depend on my right eye more). i knew there was something wrong with my eye since i was young and people would take photos of me and my left eye's pupil would look higher than the other, resulting in a slight cross-eyed look :(

Colored Contacts help! (Or just contacts in general)?
Hi, so today is basically the first time I'm wearing contacts and my left eye is perfectly fine, but my right eye hurts every time I blink (kind of feels like 8000 eyelashes are in my eye at once) and the lens kind of wont stay put all the time. They kind of wander. Also my vision gets blurry, then not blurry.
Is this normal?
Will my eyes get used to it?
What do I do?
Also if it helps I've only had them on for like half an hour

Using contacts after being in expired contact solution?
For a costume i'll be doing soon, i bought some green costume contacts online.when i tried to put them in today, after soaking them in contact solution, they made my eyes extremely irritated, red, itchy, etc.i was really mad that i wasted so much money on them when i realized that my two bottles of solution were expired(one expired in january 2012 while the other one was from summer of 2011). now, could i use those same contacts if i promptly went out to buy more solution tomorrow, and soaked them in the new solution for a few hours? i'd hate to have to buy more contacts because of a mistake.
also, do you people(who are intelligent with contacts) believe my eyes could have been THAT irritated because of the solution? when i put these contacts in, my eyes were briiiight red, itchy all over, and all around uncomfortable.i'm not sure if they are the lenses itself, or that the fact that the solution is over a year expired.any advice and thoughts are welcomed.

Adjust contact prescription?
Okay, so I have a prescription for bifocal contact lenses.In my regular glasses prescription I don't have an add. I want to buy contacts online but I wanted to get the enhancers from acuvue. I currently use acuvue oasys for presbyopia. I don't really need a reading prescription. I don't really want to deal with going through my eye doctor because its a hassle. If I scan my Rx through the computer do they think they will send me the contacts even though I don't want the reading part on it? Or do you have to change the Rx through a dr? No stupid answers please:) thanks!

Eye redness due to contact lense solution?
Before you ask, no I did not reuse my solution. I simply went to CVS pharmacy to get a new one, since my old one was used up- As I was looking for one I noticed how there was one huge box only for $6, but it wasn't one of those brand products it was a "sterile" contact lense solution FROM CVS. Amazingly surprised at the price I bought it -_-.
So I took off my contacts and left them in my new solution overnight.In the morning when I put them on, I felt the worst STING IN MY LIFE- This was the feeling as if something one put nail polish remover or plain alcohol in my eye.It was definitely the most pain I have ever felt in my whole life! I have been wearing contact lenses for two years now and I've never encountered a problem or infection-THANK GOD!
Afterwards I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were RED. A month ago i went to my eye doctor and made an appointment to get contact lenses.
There has been a problem with money so i was forced to cancel that appointment. After that i received a mail that said i need to pay 25$.

Contact Lenses Get Cloudy Very Quick?
I have been wearing Acuvue Oasys contact lenses with Hydraclear Plus for a few years now with no problems. But a few months ago I noticed my contacts were getting real cloudy. I thought they were just old so I got new ones. But they also became very cloudy within a day or two. I have tried just wearing my glasses for awhile to give my eyes a break, using different contact solution, eye drops, and bought a new contact lens holder. But they now get cloudy within just a few minutes of wearing them. Has anyone else had this problem or know anyway to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Do I have an astigmatism or what?
Sometimes when I'm writing, my eyes feel week, and they don't focus right. I'm not tired, my eyes just don't feel right. Sometimes I mix up letters and read words wrong, numbers and stuff like that. I can't count things that are close together, like how many spirals there are on a spring. I get mixed up and miss count. I do use glasses for far away, I had my latest eye doctors about a month ago. I need a less intense pair of lenses, some how my eyesight got better. Most of my family wears glasses, and my older sister has an astigmatism. If I don't have on than is it something else, or is this normal? Thanks!

Previous week she was due to have the op but was given no confirmation email/letter - when she turned up, she found that she had been booked in for the wrong eye (not the problem eye) which required a special lens for the op - so it had to be rescheduled wasting my mum's time
Op was rescheduled for tomorrow but she has still not had confirmation email/letter as to the date/details of the op/the cost/ despite repeatedly requesting one over the last week (including today).

Someone in my family had a cold sore, but she wasn't careful with it. Since I wear contact lens, I'm afraid to touch anything that she has touched.Is this a bit too much? :(

Dryness of the centre of the cornea, is it serious?
I went to the optician today who said I have dryness in the centre of my cornea. Because of this he said I should limit the amount I wear contact lenses to a maximum of 12 hours a day and no more than 5 days a week. I have had considerable discomfort recently with contacts and felt my tolerance was decreasing. He said I should also use eye drops regularly throughout the day. I have to go back in two months time.
I have worn contacts for 10 years and never had any problem or been told to limit how much I wear contacts so am rather concerned.Is this a serious issue?

Anyone knows if this is the normal way to adjust to new prescription glasses?
About 5 days ago I went back to change my right lens on my new pair of glasses because I noticed I was squinting while reading and when I closed my left eye I wasnt able to read out of my right one.So, the nice lady placed another small lens in front of my eye and asked me if that made me dizzy, i said no. With tha extra lens I could read smaller lines on the snellen chart and see better the things on my phone. A few days later i got my new glasses and my right eye lens was bumbed from +2.75 to +3.50.As soon as I put them on i felt nauseated. I ssumed ut was normal since my precription had changed. I worethem for afew days and got occasional cold sweats and nausea but i thought it was getting better. Last night while watching TV everything started spinning arund me, Iwent to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and having vertigos: i almost vomited.So I managed to walk to the car and take my old pair of glasses and put them on. I read for a few minutes forcing myself to focus on the screen that felt like it was moving around and eventually it became better. I felt better. I went to sleep.
This morning I used my new glasses again and I started sweating right away. I took them off and after a few hours put them back on. Iwas fine for couple of hours then I found myself sweating and being nauseous. Now, as I am typing this I am wearing my old glasses.
I noticed I see better with my new glasses, slightly better that is, because that is my lazy eye. But now Iam wondering if this is a normal part of getting used tothem or not. I think it isn't because it is making me physically sick.
What do you think? Any similar experience? How did it go for you?
I am planningto see the optometrist in a couple of days because my schedule is pretty full. Should I try wearing the new glasses or should i wear the old ones until then?

I can feel my contact in my eyes?
So I've been wearing contacts for about 2 months and I have had no problems until recently. Every time I try to put my contacts in, if I move my eyes i feel them and they are extremely uncomfortable. I don't understand why they're all of a sudden so irritating? I have Acuvue Oaysis, which are the very soft contacts. Last time this discomfort happened, I decided to use a new pair of contacts, but it happened again after a week. They are only supposed to be changed after 4 weeks.It seems like every time I take a new pair out and try to put them in, I have this problem.It is extremely uncomfortable, especially when I move my eyes around, so I haven't been able to wear my contacts for over a week now. So I was thinking of wearing blue contact lenses for halloween as I'm going as Deidara and I do have glasses but I can take them off and be fine without them and I wanted to know does it hurt putting them in or having them in for a while (at least a few hours). I do have a little bit of a lazy eye but it only goes to the side a bit, would that be a problem? Also, doe they do an damage to your eyes? I once was told they can but I wouldn't say the person who told me is reliable.

My contact lens broke in my eye?
It broke into two pieces, one piece was still in my eye but i wasn't sure so i tried to take it out but it irrated my eyes alot so i thought it wasn't there.the doctor didn't see the piece but it was there and it fell out of my eyes today.after two days the broken lens was in my eye while i was sleeping for two nights. I'm freaking out, i know it's bad to sleep with contacts but isn't it really really bad that it was broken?

Why are my eyes going red when I take my contacts out?
I've been wearing contacts since March but all of a sudden now when I take my contacts out my eyes go red. I always make sure my hands are clean when i'm handling my contacts so I dont think that is the issue. I also got a different contact solution then what I had before (It is the same brand Opti-Free but like a different "sub-catergory" i guess you can say?" so I don't know if that is the reason…

Does artificial tear act as a temporary contact lens?
I wonder why is that every time, when I put artificial tears in my eyes
(to lubricate them since I don't blink that often, when I'm in front of a computer) I see much better, than before putting them.
My vision has degraded a little bit lately, mainly due to working on computer, studying, reading some books etc. A month or so ago I took a rest from all the electrical stuff, books and studies and it got much better, so I think, if I give them some relaxation and eye exercises they will return back to normal.

I know that the big outer dials on the phoropter are the ones the eye doctor uses to make the lens thicker or thinner. If you got more nearsighted and need a thicker lens, which way would the doctor turn the dial, upward or downward?

Before i had "toric" monthly brand and didn't really like it at all, i just got new contacts acuvue moist daily and love how it feels! the only time i wear contacts is nights out hence the reason my doctor suggested dailies.but since i love how it feel so much, i'm curious as to whether or not monthly would feel the same way?

Scared putting in contact lenses (first time)?
I got my contact lenses yesterday. The doctor taught me how to put them and I got it, but I failed how to take them out and doctor had to do it herself. She said that if I practise, I will get them out myself. But now everytime I tried to put contact lenses, I get scared- what if I can't get them out.

Here's the thing, halloween is fast approaching and I REALLY want red colored contacts. I did some research and have seen people do one of two things…
Either I order prescription contacts, and raise my Spherical Prescription to compensate for the astigmatic number.ie.right: -3.0 ; left -2.25
OR. i order non prescription contacts and layer them on top of my existing toric lenses.
either way, i know i wont be able to see quite clearly and it may be a bit uncomfortable.however .. which option is my best bet???

My prescription is base curve 8.7; diameter 14.5.
Right: -2.25/1.25 axis 160
Left: -2.00/-0.75 axis 10
Here's the thing, halloween is fast approaching and I REALLY want red colored contacts. I did some research and have seen people do one of two things…
Either I order prescription contacts, and raise my Spherical Prescription to compensate for the astigmatic number.ie.right: -3.0 ; left -2.25
OR. i order non prescription contacts and layer them on top of my existing toric lenses.
either way, i know i wont be able to see quite clearly and it may be a bit uncomfortable.however .. which option is my best bet???
Added (1). .. This is only for a one day thing, halloween! I just would like to do it the most comfortable way i can!
Also, every place Ive found to order these contacts has a standard base curve of 8.6 and diameter of 14.0. how much will that small difference effect me?

Are contacts similar to glasses?
Do you get a specific contact set like you would lenses for glasses? I've been wearing glasses for about a year or two and I really can't find any pairs of glasses that fit me. I'd like to get some contacts but not sure if I need to head to the eye doctor or just go by and grab some contacts from the store. I also was wondering if they will help you see just like glasses would? Better or worse? Anything of that nature will be of help. Thanks!

Can I get new glasses if I bring in my old pair?
I know I can't just walk in somewhere and get glasses without any prescription information. But can I bring in old glasses so they can make lenses the same as the old ones? Or would I need another eye exam? The last eye doctor I went to never gave me a written prescription (that being my first ever eye doctor visit).So I don't even know exactly what my strength of glasses are right now! I know I'm nearsighted with 20/60 vision. I think the machine had -1.50 or something like that. But anyway, If I need another eye exam, Do you know any inexpensive places to go for one? I'm not looking to spend over $50 for an eye exam without insurance. I'm kind of new at this!
