Eye prescription (contact lenses) not in the list?

I want to buy my first pair of contact lenses of color. But the prescription I need for my left eye (they're both different btw) is hard to find (-5.25).
I know I can buy other contacts that has it in the list, but I'm done with my searching and I can't find pretty ones. Can I use -5.50 instead? I need the contacts for a Con so I might be wearing them for atleast 8 hours, is that bad?

My contacts get cloudy and blurry constantly?

So I am a first time wearer of contacts, it's the two week from Acuvue, for astigmatism. This is my first pair, and my second day of wearing them. The first hour was fine, everything seemed really clear. But after that, my contacts were just always clouding up or blurring by itself, and they gave me a headache. My eyes are not dry, since I did put in eye drops. Please tell me why this happens and how I can fix this. Thanks!

Can colored contacts damage your vision?

Hi. I wear airoptix colored contacts about 3x a week (max). They are Plano lenses, and I had an optometrist look at my eyes and contact lense fitting, followed by a follow-up vision which found the fit of the contacts were good. Now, I have 20/20 vision and I find that wearing contacts distorts my vision moderately in dim light. I expressed my concern and was told this is normal due to the pupil dialating in the dark. However, I find it takes 30-45 min after removing my contacts for my vision to fully return to normal. I understand some time is needed to adjust but I am concerned this maybe damaging. Maybe I am overly concerned and making this a bigger deal than what it is but safety is a priority. I love my contacts and I do take care of them very well and I never sleep in them or anything. I take them out as soon as I get home. Thank you very much and hope you have a great day.

Dropped a contact lens, cleaned it 3 times, put it back in. Is it safe to use?

So i dropped my contact lens on my sock, picked it up after a 30s search, rinsed it with solution 3 times, then put it back in my eye. Considering how i don't feel any pain, scratching or redness, is it safe or can I get a scratch on my cornea?

i just got contacts and have been using cvs brand multi-purpose no rub solution. I have Air optix contacts for astigmatism. Also a side question, I currently have a 6 month supply, in 6 months do I need another eye exam to order more.

Is it best for me to wear prescribed glasses?

I had an eye test, but I only had it in order to book a dyslexia screening because that's how this company was. I normally go to specsavers and every year they say that I have perfect vision and don't need glasses. But this time I went to a different place and they say I need to wear +0.25 lenses. My vision seems pretty good to me, I'm only light sensitive. Before the test, woman shined a white light in my eye to have a look at it and then immediately began with the eye test. My vision had lots of yellow and green splotches everywhere so I couldn't read most of the letters and I also can't tell the difference between some letters when reading (Like b and d) They told me I needed glasses. I can see perfectly fine without them, far away and close up.I'm 14 if that matters. If I don't wear glasses, will my prescription get stronger or will my eyesight weaken? Thanks.

Red eye vision after a deep sleep?

ok this is so weird, I just woked up this morning after a deep sleep then I was shocked coz my eye vision is red, and then I looked at the window, the sky is orange like 6:00 pm or what we called "the red sky", it took almost a couple of hours before I get my vision back to normal, then it feels like I haven't removing contact lenses for three days, with tears but I aint wearing contacts anymore since 5 months ago,… What dyu thnk is this?

So I just got contact lenses for the first time and i scheduled an appointment for the eye doctors in 6 moths. Is that really needed, should i just call the eye doctors up and say i dont need an appointment in 6 months and go in a year. Or do you think since this is my first time with contacts i should go in 6 months.

Is this normal when you get contact lenses?

So i have been using a trial pair of contacts for about 3 weeks but the trial pair is good for a month so im going to finish my trial pair before i start using the contacts that i ordered. Heres my question, i looked on the side of the contact lense box and it says power is -1 for each eye. But when i got a chance to look at my prescription the power was -1.9 for both of my eyes. I am not sure if i should open up the contact box and try them on and see just in case i cant take them back. Or is -1 power just written on everybox and the actual strength is inside

Am i wearing the wrong contacts?

I recently tried contacts. I have astigmatism and im near sighted. I was precribed Frequency FR Torric soft lenses.
I tried them on at the eye doctor and they irratated my eyes pretty quick. Felt as if a hair was in my eye. Also i had alot of reouble seeing from a distance but can see fine up close. When i move my eyes the sides of my vision are distorted almost. I told my doctor and he check my vison agian and said they were right and sent ne on my way. This is my secound day and the confort is a little better but my vision is not any better.

Can Protective eye wears be used for myopia?

I mean the way normal spectacles are with lenses are used to correct myopia, in same way can myopia be corrected with lenses prescribed by doctor fitted in protective eye wear frame instead of using conventional spectacles?
Added (1). I basically mean this type of curved frames. I think they are more comfortable and offers better peripheral vision.

Im 18 and have eye vision of -11.00 diopeters?

Apparently i cant do lasik and cant use i-go lenses ( lenses you use overnight so that during the day you can have 20 20 vision. I dont mind wearing glasses but i heard that gas permeable lenses can help correct vision. Is that true? My glasses are so thick that it made my eyes loook smaller. And my prescription got significantly higher each year. Im in college so… Dont know how to prevent this… Any advice is appreciated:)

I have these gray contact lenses I wore yesterday. When I came home I washed them and the case and put new contact solution in them. This morning I tried putting them in but it felt like acid! Does anyone know why? By the way the solution is Renu. I've used it before and had no problems until now.

Are my contact supplies good?

I was just wondering if the solutions I use with my contacts are compatible. I have Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I used to use Opti-Free, but I recently switched over to Biotrue. (I still use the same Alcon case though, because the Biotrue case isn't that great.) For rewetting eyedrops I use Visine for Contacts. Are these all compatible?

I have recently turned 13 in June, and I have been wearing glasses for three to four years. My mother has said that maybe I would want to consider prescription contacts because glasses can cause grease and buildup on my nose. At the same time, If I were to get rid of my glasses, I wouldn't look unique or like myself. I have been constantly told glasses add to my face because I have a simple face structure. So I thought of colored prescription lenses for my uniqueness and eyesight. Is this a good idea? How long do they last? And where can I research and buy these lenses?

I heard that as long as I clean and disinfect my daily lenses at night, I am able to store and use them much longer than a day. But for how long? 2 weeks? A month?

I fell asleep with my contacts but I cant tell if theyre still in?

When i woke up this morning my eyes were extremely uncomfortable. Im almost certain i didnt take my contacts off last night and i can tell i fell asleep with them. Ive tried almost everything to get them out but i still cant even see them. I put some drops of opti free in my eye but nothing really happened. Ive searched in all corners of both eyes but i cant feel or see them. Are they still in or have they fallen out somehow? Again my eyes are really red (one more than the other) but the discomfort went away quickly and i dont feel anything in my eye. Please help thanks

Green patch of reflections formed on eyeglasses?

2 months back I was prescribed with -1.25 in the right eye and -1 in left eye, so I got a pair of glasses from an optician. I didn't know much about glasses before so didn't notice before, but recently I have observed that when looking towards a darker area with light from behind (on my back) there is a green patch of reflection formed on the lenses. Same thing happens sometimes when i am in a room and there is some light from corners like the windows.

Is it a defect in the lenses? If so, what should I do?

Wearing contacts makes me feel tired?

I started wearing them about 3 months ago for the first time and thought it would just be a temporary feeling but it's not. My doctor lowered my prescription a bit but that didn't help at all. I feel it as soon as a put them in, it's not just like when I'm watching TV or using the computer. Is there anything I can do? What's causing this?

Hi, my eyes aren't as good as they should be and I am 16. If I sit at the back of the class at school I struggle to see the board and I know I need glasses. But, I don't want them. Iv been seeing adds for HD contact lenses that are apparently "better" than real eye vision, like some one with 20/20 vision and i was just wondering if this is actually true and if its safe to wear these
