Im going camping tomorrow and i only have 1 more contact lens to use i have one acuvue mois and 1 trueye as in 1 not two.

So i was wondering if i can wear the mois on 1 eye and trueye on 1 eye or no.

How do different light frequency effecting human?

For optical lens, Blue light frequency 415-455 is blocked to protect our eyes, but not Blue light frequency 465-495, which is good for human emotion.

I would like to know on where to find reference for different light frequency effecting human.

My eye hurts to touch and stings when putting eye drops in. Help?

yesterday i took a nap with my contacts in and one got stuck, i kept moisturizing it as i read online and it came free. It still hurt afterwards, its very sensitive to touch so i figured my eyes might just be dry and when i put eye drops in my eye it stung. When blinking it feels as if my eye is sore but it doesnt hurt that bad just a slight discomfort. My glasses broke and im blind as a bat without my contacts. Whats wrong with my eye and when will it heal?

Ortho-K lens not fitting properly…AGAIN?

So initially, I had this problem in which my orhto-k contact lens keeps getting off-centred on my left eye and it doesn't fit properly. It's causing me to have less accurate vision and soreness. This problem started around last October but it only became serious until a few months ago, and it was also the time I took notice.

Anyway. Long story short, I got a new lens for my left eye because my optometrist told me that I've been using the same one for nearly 5 years, so it might be possible that it's worn out and needs changing. So I paid $200 for a new lens and tried it on two days ago, hoping the problem would be solved. But nope. It still gets off-centred and I tried it on again last night, it's STILL off-centred.

I honestly don't know what to do here. D: What on earth is causing this problem?! My optometrist doesn't seem to have an idea and I was thinking maybe my eyes were too dry or something because I sit in front of the laptop screen a lot, but this never happened during my student days (which involved way more eye-use).

My right eye doesn't have this problem--just my left eye. This is so frustrating because if this doesn't get solved I'll just have to go back to wearing regular glasses or soft-contact lenses.

I will try them on after three days or so after my left eye reverts back to it's regular state. But meanwhile, any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Contact lenses suggestions. And how much at boots?

I want to try out contact lenses and I need advice, I'm 13 and I want to wear them firstly because I hate wearing my glasses because they annoy me and irritate me and also because I look bad in glasses, to be honest I would wear glasses if they weren't so irritating and I loose them all the time because I can't keep them on!

What I want to know of the basics of them what what's the best type of contact lense e.g. Hard contacts or the soft ones Etc. But I also what to know the procedure and how much they are at boots opticians or any other uk opticians (England) but preferably boots price and what I'll go through and also advantages and disadvantages, and if it's ok for my age.

Can you swim with contact lenses?

I go swimming a lot over the summer and i was wondering if you could wear contacts while swimming? I don't open my eyes underwater so I'm not worried about them falling out or anything I was just wondering if they can get infected or anything. And what happens if I do get water in my eyes?

Is it normal that my glasses and contacts are different prescriptions?

Not only are they different prescriptions, but they are visibly different… I just got new glasses and the prescription is pretty strong I'm having trouble getting used to it… I mean I did just get them a couple hours ago but still…

My contacts are less strong… I can see the difference quite visibly when I go from contacts to glasses and vice versa.

Is this a major problem? I'm not sure how much of a difference there is. Not more than +/- 1.0 of a difference I think… Which I know is not a small amount!

I have about a year of the same contact lens prescription, but I'm really worried this will mess with my eye sight and make my already horrid eye vision even worse!
My glasses prescription is like… -4.15 or -4.25 or something like that…

Hi, I was curious if anyone knew of any websites where I can reciece a free trial of contacts through the mail? My last pair ripped today and I currently am not able to purchase another pair at the time. I'm not looking for coupons to take to my doctor, they told me I must have another eye exam before they will give me another order of contacts. Should I ask Walmart for my optical prescription?

I got my eyes checked at Walmart last week but I didn't like the selection of eye glasses they had. They said they'll save the prescription and I can get the glasses from elsewhere and Walmart might charge less to put the lenses on.

I am wondering, if I buy glasses from some place, do they include the price to make the prescription glasses on the price of the glasses or is there an additional fee involved?

I am wondering if I should just get the prescription from Walmart and give it to whoever I find the glasses from.

Also, is there such an option as anti-glare? The glasses I have currently don't show up well in pictures. They are also getting really dirty and foggy lately but I don't know if that is because they are 2-3 years old.

Vision is blurry in one eye?

Okay, for some background I wear the day and night contact lenses, and I've had my pair of contacts in about 19 days. A few hours ago I starts having some irritation in my eye akin to an eyelash, so I applied contact solution and the irritation did not lessen. I took my contacts out and washed them very thoroughly before putting them back in. The irritation remained. So I took my contacts out, washed them again, and then went to my glasses after I out them away. I noticed that there seemed to be a blurry portion in the center of my vision akin to how you see when an eye booger films over. I tried to wash my bare eye multiple times, but the blue doesn't lessen or fade away.

It's been about five hours now and I'm starting to wonder what exactly it could be. I've examined my eye for a few good minutes in the mirror of my car (it's very clean and the sunlight helps me see a lot better), and I cannot for the life of me see anything on my eye that would cause it to blur in such a fashion. Any thoughts?

Is my contact lens stuck?

okay, this is going to sound really bad but here it goes. So I'm not sure if i'm wear lens or not, cause you see when I touch my eye I feel a contact lens type shell but I cannot remove it no matter what. In addition, my eye site is still bad unless I put lens in and I can wear my glasses fine. But I'm thinking it could be a lens excepted it lost it ability. Furthermore, there's been a couple time (separated eyes of course) where I put my lens in and I thought I dropped it or something and couldn't find it on the ground or in my eye so I just used a different one. So is it my contact lens that got stuck or just part of my eye I should stop messing with.

Can I wear my contacts still?

Okay so I have trial contacts right now. I got them on Monday last week and I've only worn them once, which was the day I got them. And I accidentally took a short nap in them, but my doctor said a short nap is fine. Then on the second day, I tried putting my left contact in and it like burn my eye and my eye turned red so I took them out as soon as possible and have never put on contacts since then because I'm scared that it'll happen again or I might become blind. The last time I took my contacts out was last Friday and tomorrow it'll be Friday again and I want to at least try to put them on again, but my contacts have been in solution for almost a week already. Is that fine? The solution I have is BioTrue and my contacts are the monthly Air Optix.

Eyes red after i take out my contact lenses?

I just got my contact lenses yesterday and this is my first time wearing them. However I noticed that every time after I take them off, my eyes get red and veiny. Sometimes they itch a bit too. After a few hours the redness will go away. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks!

How many diopters of astigmatism can RGP contact lenses correct by themselves?

I've heard that RGP contact lenses can correct astigmatism because of the rigid form they have. And because of this it's not necesary to add the number of astigmatism diopters to these contact lenses.

But I've also heard that the number of diopters is also limited, and since certain strength is necesary to add the astigmatism diopters to these contact lenses too. Am I right?

How many diopters of astigmatism is the maximum they can correct by themselves, without adding them strength for this defect?

When a box say it comes with 6 lenses, what does that mean? How long does one box with 6 lenses last you? How many boxes do you have to buy for a year supply?
Added (1). I don't get how you only need 4 boxes for each eye to last you a whole year cause there are only 6 lenses in one box and 6 times 4 is 24. But there are like 57 weeks in a year.

Like most of the Asians I have dark brown eyes. They only appear somewhat light in the sunshine.

Um.so I've started wearing honey-colored lenses. And they look cute!
But I feel like it's fake that I'm wearing those? I mean if someone says they look nice I just wanna yell at them - "THEY ARE NOT MY REAL EYES, I'M WEARING LENSES, MY REAL EYES ARE ALMOST BLACK AND NON-PRETTY WITH NO COLOR!":P

What do you think of this? Lol

Why does my left eye get blurry when I wear contact lenses?

and my right eye is still clear. If I use Visine for Contacts Lubricating + Rewetting Drops on my left eye, it will be clear for a short period of time when the eye is still wet, but will quickly become blurry after just a few minutes. Before I could go an entire day without using the eye drop. Now I can hardly see with one eye clear and one eye blurry. When I wear eye glasses, both eyes are clear. It's been bothering me and I really want to find out what it is about the rewetting drops that could make my left eye clear and why my eye becomes blurry without it. And why is it that when I wear eyeglasses instead of contact, my left eye is clear. Thanks so much for reading my questions!

AIR OPTIX VS ACUVUE CONTACT LENSES - astigmatism?

I used air optix the last time I had contacts but it's been about 6 months since then. I remember asking to try out the acuvue advanced for astigmatism but I can't remember which one felt better! Haha. Has anyone used both brands? If so, which do you prefer

maybe I'm just being cheap because the acuvue are cheaper now (even though the lenses don't last as long) and I'm just trying to save money, plus it's acuvue so I don't see how it can be that bad. But maybe air optix is the new acuvue and I should just pay a little more and stick with it

I've had my lenses for a while and since its summer vacation do you have any tips or ways to remember to wear my lenses frequently because until about a month after i got my lenses i got lazy and i resorted to just going back to glasses and now its just a waste to just keep storing my extra unopened lenses in my bathroom so i wanted to try and get back into the habit of wearing them everyday. I sometimes feel like I would have been so lucky if I was born with some other color eyes, I'd look more unique.

Do you know any way in which I can get a brighter eye color/shade? Even if it's a lighter shade of brown it'll be alright cause right now my eyes look almost BLACK.

I've read a thing which says that if you put honey in your eyes it makes them lighter but I think it's kinda dangerous. I'll still eat it though.

And the other fact is that you CANNOT do/eat/drink or anything to make it better! There's seriously no way to get another color unless and until you wear lenses which i think is so temporary.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy that I at least have eyes but I still just want to know if I can get a lighter color. It'll be okay even if I don't get it:)

they say that you can put honey mixed with water in your eye might take some time but i've seen people do it and saw the change that they went through. Some of them even got green and blue eyes just by applying honey water on their eyes for up to about 12-18 months(though in about a week you would already be able to see a change) but make sure you use honey with pollen in it or it wont work

Temporary contact solution substitutes?

I have 15 mm circle lenses that dry very easily and are sensitive. I can't get solution till tomorrow. The only closet thing I have is H2ocean it has purified water, sea salt, lysozyme, and sodium citrate. I don't know of if would be okay or not. Are there any temporary substitutes for contact solution?

Why are my contact lenses always dry?

i am in 8th grade and have been wearing contacts since 5th grade.

whenever i put them in, they get dry after about 30 minutes. It isnt urgent it is just really annoying.

I have polarized lens- on one lens there is a small circle the size of a quarter- this is only noticeable when you are cleaning the lens and looking at it at a particular angle… Its about the same size as the small sticker that was on it when I purchased the lens. In fact looks like same position as sticker. I cleaned lens and still see this. I never noticed before until now, what is this?

Okay, I had this friend I saw the last time in 2012, she had light brown eyes her ENTIRE life. Recently me and some of her old friends saw her and she had GREEN EYES, like bright green! No brown at all! WTF! They weren't colored lenses, it's OBVIOUS when someone wears them. Everyone was asking how how she did it, and she just smiled and didn't say a word! I wonder… Is there a way to do it? Apparenlty surgery can do it, but only to a pale blue color (All brown eyes are supposed to have blue underneath)

Using contacts after they were stored in solution overnight?

I just got contacts yesterday so I'm still getting used to all of this stuff.

I put my contacts in the case with Opti-Free solution and left it overnight. Now that it's morning and I'm going to put them in, can I just take them out of the case and wear them? Do I have to rinse them or change the solution before putting them in?

I understand that it's the cost of an eye exam + the additional contact fitting. I think my health insurance covers the eye exam but I'm not so sure about the contacts exam. I just need a rough estimate!

What proof do Atheists have that god doesn't exist?

I have always believed and still do in one superior God. I believe he is a living and a conscious God, and has merely set rules for the systems that work our world (Wrote the rules of science).
Personally I think it all makes sense if you ponder over it, Example: converging lenses produce an upside image, and our eyes have converging lenses, so the optical nerve flips the image so we see it upright. This is only one example and in our world i highly doubt that this was only luck, an intelligent being had to have known this, No offense but i think atheism is an excuse to not need to find an answer and settle yourself in your comfort zone, (same with those who believe with any reason)

So just curious on whats Atheist reasons?

So i am not christian, so I dont read the bible, I read the Quran and in fact the Quran has pointed out several scientific proofs and theorys 1500 years ago that people are researching today, as in the big bang, global warming, the industrial revolution, and many many more prophecies that have been fullfilled. The Quran is such a deep book, so many metaphors that can bring tears to one eyes upon pondering over them.
Added (2). Who could have known so much about science and the future 1500 years ago, this is why I believe the Quran was revealed directly from God. Islam is a beautiful religion when studied at it's roots, not the extremism Islam portrayed today.

Have you seen these Circle lenses?

Exactly one year ago I bought a pair of EOS Magic Series circle lenses in blue from eyecandys.com. It is time for me to toss out my old pair and get new ones, but they are no where to be found. It seems like Eyecandys has stopped selling them and I have checked Pinkyparadise, candylens, Honeycolor, and at least ten other lens stores and none of them sell those-everyone sells EOS Candy Magic Lenses, but not just plain Magic Series.

It says that the duration is 3 months. But does that means each box last 3 months or what? It also says that each box contains 2 lens, does that mean one for my right eye and one for my left, or 2 lens for each eye?

Black pupil contacts?

Hi i have a corneal scarring on my right eye and i dont see on that eye. My doctor mention i could get a prosthetic contact lense but they are very expensive i dont have that kind of money. for the past couple of months my eyes have been producing this clear stringy discharge

Wearing monthly contacts lenses for a little over a month[like an extra few days]?

I got some contacts for a cosplay(in the end I never used them tho) and they've been opened a month today, I wore them once. This friday I'm going out and I thought it'd be nice to wear them for the special occasion, but of course they technically run out today.

Any other answers to this question I found were all about wearing them for weeks afterwards and I was just wondering if an extra few days would hurt. I could just be worrying a bit too much, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Brown spot in my right eye?

I'm 15 years old and male. About 2 days ago I noticed a small brown spot in my right eye. It is in the white surface of my eye. If it helps, my cousin also has one but she had it since she was born. And my dad has a lazy left eye. And my right is my weak eye but I use glasses with the right lens the strongest. The brown spot is harmless so far but is it a bad sign?

Swam with contact lenses?!

So guys I'm really freaking out. I went to the pool today and I was wearing contacts and I know that some got into my eye because I could feel it. So I'm really worried about getting an infection by those microbes or amoebas or something. Can I get an infection from chlorinated pool water? I threw out my contacts as soon as I got out of the pool and I even made myself cry (if that even helps…) my eyes are just a bit red but I think that's from the chlorine. Help?

Caucasian women with light eyes look very attractive. Even non-white women with contact lenses I find attractive.

SOS! I think my contact lens is stuck in my eye?! OMG what do I do?

At the end of the day I couldnt find my lens in my eye, and it IS feeling uncomfortable! I'm waiting till morning (6 hours) to go to the doctors, anything I can do till then, other than NOT sleep?

My contacts wont stay in after the first use! Help?!

I am not really new to contacts, I've had them for about a year so i know how it kinda works. I use coopervision contact lenses and they seem to be very comfortable and easy to put in only when they are fresh out of the box. After the first use, when i try to put them on it is a major pain and problem getting them to stay in and it irritates my eye quite a bit.

I thought that this might be because of the solution i'm using to keep my contacts in overnight, but i'm not sure. I plan on trying other solutions soon. Currently i am using "Alcon Opti-Free Replenish."
My eye doctor also said that i have a dry eye problem, but i use eye drops to fix that now.
I'm thinking that if i get coopervision lens solution, it might solve the whole problem because the lens seems to be fine right out of the box, but i am not sure about it.

The problem doesn't seem to ever occur when i use new contact lenses, however that's really not an option for me to do everyday.
Any information about why this could be occurring and how to solve this problem would be very much appreciated.

Why are my contacts moving and becoming blurry?

I have Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism contact lenses and I've noticed that when I look down the rotate out of place and my vision gets blurry. By look down I mean when I move my head to look down too, not just my eyes, like when I tie my shoe. It also happens sometimes when I lie down it watch tv. Also, is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated, but please don't explain how Tiruchirapalli lenses are supposed to stay in place, I know that, just why they move when my face is facing down.

Contact lenses have started stinging?

I have been wearing contact lenses for about 5 months now and have had no problems but recently whenever I put them in they start stinging really badly and my eyes go really red and I have to take them out straight away because they hurt too much and if I keep them in they're really uncomfortable

I wear daily disposables and am 17 years old

I've not had any problems before this and was wondering why this was happening if anyone knows?

Would it be Ok for a guy to wear color lenses?

I always wanted to have blue eyes and I asked a girl thay wears color lenses and she told me i shouldn't wear them because I'm a guy. I think it's ridicoulos and feminist that a guy does something like wearing color lenses or shaving body hair and they are getting called gay but girls can do anything without getting called lesbos.

Choosing between Freshlook Colorblends or Freshlook Color Blends Toric?

I have been wanting colored contacts for awhile now. The problem is I cant find a brand with my exact prescription since i have astigmatism which makes it way harder to find colored contacts for. My prescription is P-4.5 CYL-.75 AX90. I am choosing between the regular freshlook colorblends or freshlook colorblends toric. The problem is the colorblends toric power only goes up to -4.00 while the regular ones go up to -8.00. Is my astigmatism low enough where I could choose the regular colorblends with the power of -4.5 or should I get the toric ones where the power will only be -4.00 which won't be as high as I need it but It will treat my astigmatism. I currently use PureVision2 for Astigmatism if that helps.

Shortsighted strong presciption?

approx -8 to -9 in glasses, im looking to get new frames in a couple of months, at the moment my frames are medium sized and my eyes look small due my strong prescription,
so. Are medium or large frames better formy strong prescription? Small frames wouldnt be as good right?
without glasses everything is a blur. Cant see

Polarized tinted glasses for computer viewing?

I'm about to get some computer glasses because I know I have problems with glare and UV rays shining into my eyes. My eyes hurt, burn, itch, and get really bloodshot if I look at a computer screen for more than an hour or so, and I also get headaches.

For a writer of fiction, this is no good, so I'm about to get some computer glasses as I have already said. I can get a regular tint 50% darker, but I'm concerned they wont block UV rays and glare.

Is it possible to look at a computer screen with polarized lenses? I thought I heard something about the screen going black if you do. If that's so, then I won't be able to get that option.

So, just looking for some tips on getting computer glasses. For all I know, the 50% tint will be too much anyways.

Any comments will be appreciated.
