What Steps Should I Take To Become A FBI Special Agent?

I always wanted to become a FBI Agent/Pilot, I do good in High School and I also challenge my self with advance classes as well. I take JROTC and Criminal Justice courses too, but i wanna really have a chance in achieving my dream to become an Agent. I don't really know what college/University to go to to i was thinking of going to University Of California in Irvine and take my Criminology Degree and Business as my minor. I have a basic plan and that is to join the Air Force Reverses or The Air National Guard to pay for my education when im a Senior in High School, As well Apply for the GI Bill to pay also. Go to College for about 6 years Max. After Finishing my degrees join the Air Force or Naval Aviators to become a Jet Fighter Pilot. Stay in the military for about 4 or 6 years. Then Apply to the FBI my last 6 months before i retire form being a Fighter Pilot. And From then on i dont have anything else. What i want to know is. Am i going the right path? What other classes should i take in College or High School? Do I have a good chance in achieving my goals? What other Steps Should i take? Is there other helping programs like the GI BIll that will help me? What should i do? Please answer my questions with as much detail as possible. I already went and checked there site out as well.

Hi there, I've been wearing the 30 day Air Optic for Astigmatism for about a week now, and they've been the best thing since I got my glasses for the first time. Well, basically today I went to put them in, and they are all blurry. Both of them are. I waited for about 10 minutes to see if they'd adjust, and nothing happened, so I took them out, cleaned them, and put them back in, and the same thing, all blurry. It's a big of a struggle still to get them in, so I can't just keep doing it over and over and waiting.

Any eyeglasses or sun glasses hurt my head. Why?

Ok…here is some background from a previous question: I am 34 and I have never worn glasses all the time, but only wore them for reading/computer work. We started out trying contacts and had trouble with the strength, so the doctor decided to give the new prescription a few weeks of adjustment before trying contacts again. I got new frames (and new prescription) and have been back 3 times to have the glasses adjusted.

First time they replaced the nose pads, other times to fix the vice like tension on the sides of my head. They are metal frames, but have rubber pieces that fit above the ear. If they are adjusted to be really comfortable, they slide off with little effort. Otherwise, they continue to feel as if they are squeezing my head causing headaches. This last time, the extra "curve" was removed and she said to give it a couple days to see if that helps. It is really frustrating and disheartening at the same time!

After weeks of agony, I just got a new set of frames yesterday. These are wire frames (barely 2mm thick) and very flexible. Poly-carbonate lenses and so light you can't even tell they are there! I STILL feel pressure on the sides of my head. I kept my old pair off for about 18 hours to give my head time to rest before trying the new ones.

The pain is in front and right above my ear. The first pair I tried had the arms that went straight back and fit against head (like Oakleys) and they continued to cause discomfort after several adjustments. This new wire frames kind of wrap behind ear, but doesn't hurt there…still in the same spot in front of the ear. First pair was 52-17 and we were going to try larger frame size but somehow ended up with a 51-20.

Is it possible that my head is still sore from previous glasses? Is it possible some people just can't wear glasses? I am about at the point I want to give up. Anyone else have similar experience?

I also have a pair of "Special Eyes" contact lenses on order and praying to God those work. I sometimes wish I had never went to the eye doctor to begin with because it has been so frustrating.

Contact lens solution in Spain?

Hi, I've been using the Boots Pharmaceuticals Deep Cleaning System for my contact lenses. I'm in Spain at the moment, and I was wondering if there is a solution here I could get for the same purpose. It's a peroxide-based solution and it requires a metal disc to neutralize it before the contacts are safe to put in your eyes, so I'm a bit worried about whether I can find a solution which is compatible with this system. Any advice would be very welcome!

Do I need a new prescription to switch from 2-week to daily contacts?

About 10 months ago, I got a years' supply of 2-week soft contacts (Acuvue Advance Plus) through my vision insurance. My prescription is still valid through August of 2014. About 6 months ago, I switched positions at my workplace. I went from a regular room-temperature job to working a refrigerated meat room and seafood room. Since then, I've had trouble keeping the contacts clean due to watering eyes (from the cold - natural for everyone) and such. I find that they get dirty within a matter of days (my eyes seem to emit some kind of gunk that gets "stuck" on the contact and makes it cloudy/white looking in certain areas) in my new position. It's nothing that I'm splashing in my eye.

I have a valid prescription good through August. At the end of April, my insurance will kick in and will allow me to buy either contacts or glasses. I usually get the contacts. It did pay about $350 for a full years' supply of 2-week soft contacts last year. However, due to this issue with getting the 2-week contacts dirty much more quickly than expected, I have gone through a year's worth in about 9-10 months.

I need a box or two to carry me over until April 28th when I can use my insurance again. Will they let me buy a month or two of the dailies without having to see the doctor again?

How to take off contact lenses?

Hi i can put on contacts but i cant take them off i practiced lots (eg touching my eyes for 30 seconds) to get them in and when i went to the optometrist i can put them in but cannot take them out. Even tips for putting them in will be useful but im really busy at the moment and have no time to practice so is there a quick way to practice like my example to take them OFF because i really want them a soon as possible by June at least and i don't know if i can do it i worked so hard to get them in and now i need to get them out.

Eye exam information?

Ok i am looking to get contacts for the first time. I had glasses ever since 2nd or 3rd grade and i am now 24 years old. I know to get contacts you need to get a contact lens exam and it a little bit more expenssive than a regular eye exam. My vision care will cover glass or contacts not both just one of tje other. My question is will a regular eye glass exam tell me the shape of my eye so i can order contact lenses my self or do i have to get the conctavs lens exam to fish out the shape of my eyes? I seen you can order concact off the internet witch i think i want to do but i have an astigmatism so the same of my eye is a factor.

How much of a difference can there be between the diopters of the lenses from my glasses?

I have a -12 on my left eye and much less on the right one, and the optometrist that I went to gave me a -10.10 diopter on my left lense and a -3.5 on my right one. I've heard that there can't be more than 5 diopters difference betwween them. Is that true?

Can I wear normal lenses?

I have astigmatism in my left eye which i think it a x1.00 or what ever the correct way to write it is. Before I went to the opticians and got my new glasses I ordered a month of daily contacts that are 'normal' and do not have adjustment for astigmatism. I only wear my contacts on really special occasions, 1-2 times a month.

I bought my contact lenses last week and i am just not able to wear them. I have tried everything, pulling up and holding my eyelids, looking up while putting the contacts. Why is my contact lenses sore and itchy?!

My contact lenses recently have been painful and itchy, when I first got them they were fine but then the contact lenses became really sore so I told my Optician and she changed my contact lenses and they were much better but then they became sore again so I went back to my Optician and they changed the solution then It was fine but again my lenses are agony and itchy the minute I put them in I cant bear it! I have my swimming unit for PE next week and I don't have goggles, I've read that you should not wear contacts while in the pool. Should I just not wear them and be blind during swimming unit?

I got a new glasses prescription?

I got a new glasses prescription today. I'm short sighted and needed a stronger lens so I got an eye test and today I collected my glasses. After a few hours of wearing the new prescription, I got an awful migraine and an intense pressure behind my eyes. I went to bed thinking that if I closed my eyes the pain behind them would go, but it hasn't, it's just as bad as before. I've never got this before with new glasses prescription. Is this normal? Why is my contact blurry?

I've been wearing glasses for about eleven years now. My eyesight is HORRIBLE, I cannot read my cellphone in front of me from more than about 6 inches away from my face. I decided I'd give contacts a chance, so on last friday, four days ago, I told my eye doctor that I wanted contacts. He gave them to me.

My right eye apparently has astigmatism, so I have a weighted lense for it. He said something about not needing it for the left eye, so I don't know if I have astigmatism in that eye as well, or if it's not bad enough to need the lenses.

I don't remember noticing it on day one, but saturday, per doctors orders, I wore them for ten hours. I could not wait to get them out after a bit because I noticed my left eye was blurry. If I rubbed my closed eyelid, it would get clear for a second, and then go blurry again when I blinked. My cousin told me that it might be because the lense is dirty, and that moving it moved it to a clean spot, so I made sure the lense was extremely clean before I put it in again. Same issue, blurry till I rub my eye, clear for a second, then blurry again. Before I put them in today, they were soaking for two days in fresh liquid, so I don't think it's an issue of dryness. In addition, it is only my left eye, my right is fine.

What's going on? I'm going back to the doctor on Friday, but calling the office didn't help much. Are my lenses screwed up? Is my perscription wrong? It's driving me nuts! It's more comfortable to just wear the right lense and not the left at all. I'd just like to get the most out of them.

I can't see with my new glasses?!

i have the same power. In my both glasses, my old one is so good, i just broke the handle so i had to get a new one

My girlfriend needs glasses, but she usually wears contacts.

The other day I had one of those cheap 3D glasses from the theater. She popped the lenses out and wore them around for a bit. She was already all done up with makeup and everything since we were about to go out.

She looked like a nerdy hipster chick that was wearing a pair of those black rim glasses that nerds usually wear. That combined with her lipstick and everything was surprisingly hot.

Is it weird I found that really attractive? She looked like such a nerd, but it was oddly attractive. I thought she was super cute.

Like I said, she already needs glasses. I'd think it would be pretty sexy if she got a pair of actual glasses that looked like that and wore them all the time and no longer wore contacts.

Polycarbonate vs Plastic lenses for rimless glasses?

My prescription is -2.25 and -2.75 in each eye with a 165 axis in one eye. I'm overall rather gentle with my glasses.

I've heard that polycarbonate is the best material for rimless glasses. However, I've also heard such lenses can cause distortion. For my prescription strength, would this be an issue?

Optician recommended I use poly carb lens but I've been wearing Metal?

In trying to keep costs down, the Optician suggests using poly carb lenses instead of high index, but I've been wearing High Ind. She also suggested plastic frames instead of metal.
Right eye Sphere -5.00 CYL -1.00 AXIS 145

Also listed on the prescription under ADD is +2.50 for both eyes.

I'm getting transitions with Progressive Anti-reflective lens.

Back story - one Opthamologist recommended cataract surgery with Toric lens implants.
Went for a 2nd opinion and she said since I can get 20/20 vision in both eyes with lenses and the cataracts are just developing, she recommends new lenses (above numbers)

Glare from sun and snow kill me even in the house.

Antihistamines dried out eyes?

Hello everyone. Im 22 years old and made the mistake of overusing visine antihistamine eye drops for about a month everyday.my friend gave them to me and I used them for irritation from my contact lenses. Now my eyes dont seem to produce barely any tears. Its been about 5 months and they still feel the same. I thought they would return to normal by now. Ive gone to a bunch of optometrists that keep prescribing me artificial tears that just make my eyes more red and inflamed. Is there any possible way to get my eyes to return to normal and make tears again? Its starting to make me really depressed.

How long will each of my eye contacts last?

My optician said that we could choose to buy the 6 month package or the 12 month package. We chose the 6 month one. I bought 2 colors, Brilliant blue and Sterling grey, so there was a total of 4 boxes. 1 box of the blue contacts for the left, 1 for the right, and another 2 boxes for the grey contact's left and right eye. Each box included 6 contact lenses. So since the whole package only last 6 months, my question is how much would 1 pair last before I have to throw it away and put on a new pair? I did the math, but correct me if i'm wrong. So there are about 30 days in a month, 30 x 6 = 180 days. So there are 180 days in 6 months. So since I have 12 pairs of contacts, 1 pair should only last 15 days because 15 x 12 = 180 days. Does that sound correct?

Im afraid of getting contact lenses and not looking good?

So im 15 and I've been wearing glasses all my life, literally. I dont feel confident without them and yeah i know you think its weird, but it's the truth, all my life i've been wearing glasses. I want to get contacts, and my parents are more than willing to get me ones, but im afraid of looking bad without the glasses. Once, last year, i asked a random girl if i looked pretty without the glasses, i took off the glasses and her reply was 'you look prettier with glasses.' Weird things are happening in my body lately?

I've been getting headache (i related that to exercising and not getting enough water) my eyes hurt randomly and I'm not able to use my lenses. I'm never hungry, then suddenly i get hungry and as soon as i eat it goes. My uterus feels weird sometimes. I'm also feeling so restless, like theres so much i want to do yet i don't know what i wanna do. I'm 16 btw. What is going on? Is this a normal puberty thing?
Added (1). yes i got my period years ago. In fact i finished last week so it is not period related

Eye tired while wearing contact lenses?

I dont feel any discomfort or dryness…just tired around my eyes…imagine that you are in bright sunlight and u try to make ur eyes smaller for a long time…and off course u will feel tired right? Well, this is what i feel with contacts in my eyes…
