Why do people keep saying I am prideful, boastful, and arrogant?

My name is Queenstar Betty Amoah, I'm a 24 year old Ghanaian female, and I am a good girl because I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol, and I don't do drugs. I don't have any STDs. I graduated High School and obtained a Diploma. I have never been in a relationship or marriage before in my entire life. I have never been arrested before. I don't have a criminal record. I don't have any tattoos on my body. I don't wear nose rings or tongue rings. I don't wear fake nails or nail polish. I don't wear contact lenses. I don't go to parties or clubs. I don't bump and grind on guys. I don't twerk and I don't swing on poles. I don't wear thongs. I don't strip or give guys lap dances. I don't call guys on the phone to have phone sex. I'm not a gold digger. I don't makeout with guys in public. I don't rough play with guys. I don't wear high heel shoes and revealing clothes with an intention of getting guys to check me out. I like to dress decent like a lady because I respect myself. I don't follow the crowd or try to fit in. I like to follow my own lead and stand out of my peers. I don't hang around bad friends. I am not pressured by my peers because I know right from wrong and I try to stay away from trouble. I remained true to myself. I am unpopular and I like myself just the way I am. I will never change myself for anyone. What is so cool about being popular anyways? I'm not materialistic and I wear what my parents can afford. I am content with what I have.

Have I got an eye infection?

Hello.
I'm 17, short sighted and my left eye sometimes hurts when I blink.
It hurts at the corner of my eye. I think it's to do with the fact sometimes I have dry skin at the side of my eye.

I've had a look at my eye and it isn't red or anything.
I haven't put contact lenses in for a long time either.

Help?
Thank you:/

Feeling old and ugly? - 2

Wherever I go, every girl in my social environment is so pretty with beautiful hair, eyes and skin. All the guys talk to them, and they just look so confident and gorgeous. I can't help feeling like a dorky, ugly old hag.

Yesterday a guy said about me: on a scale from 1 to 20. I'd give her 12. Plus, she isn't my age so you cannot really take me seriously. This comment made me feel worse cause in my early 20s and the guy who said this was 19, so I'm not that much older than him. Also a woman had once said about me that I look like the average 30 y.old. Looking so much older than your actual age is worse than being ugly.

Somedays I fix up my hair and wear some cute clothes and I feel really, really good, but then I go out and all girls look ten times prettier than me and no guys ever stop by to talk to me like they do to my friends. I still feel so old and ugly. I'm feeling so depressed and unhappy… What can I do to make me feel better?

P.S: I think the biggest problem here is my eye color; it's very boring and usual. If I wore green or hazel contact lenses, would I look just a tiny bit better?
Added (1). I disagree. If someone's has disgting facial features like me nothing can be done…
Added (2). Thanks for the advice Nancy but you don't know it feels to look at your mirror and see Gollum every single day. To feel like 100 y.old. Sometimes I wish I just didn't exist:(
Added (3). Yes, our value is not in how we look but being hideous is a curse. I would give anything for hearing a good word someone just for once in my life. Personality, personality, personality… That's an advice we give to ugly people:(

Why does heat ruin my contacts?

I didn't wear them before, in fear of them 'melting' but when I found out it was a myth I started wearing them in hot kitchen environments,

Ok so my first contacts I wore, became irritating to put on, they burnt my eyes, they lost their shape and I could no longer use them (I only wore them for 4 hours in heat) I thought it was just the contacts

But yesterday I wore a brand new pair and they were perfect before I I wore them in heat for only 2 hours, again today they are blurry, burning my eyes and impossible to use

So the melting contact lens story is true after all, the contacts do get ruined at least, why aren't people made aware of this?
Added (1). Nope I have cooper vision, the long wear ones which are the most expensive ones available. The heat wasn't even that high, it was regular kitchen heat.
I store my contacts very very well, and clean them very throughly and wash hands before and
After

Can I Wear Contacts For 14 Hours?

So there's this field trip that my school band is having and it's at Great America, so I really want to wear my contact lenses for that day. However it's an all day field trip, so I'll have to wear my contacts for nearly 14 hours. Is that ok? I usually wear my contacts for 8 hours on school days. If I wear my contacts for any more my eyes get a little irritated. If I wear my contacts for 14 hours and use eye drops whenever I feel dry/have red eyes, will that be ok?

Can contacts damage your eyes?

My mom says to lay off the contacts that I'm wearing because it might damage my eyes. She wants to me to switch it into my old glasses which don't have the right eyesight level thingy. I want to keep my contacts on all day long but can contacts really damage your eyes? I take care of them and change the solution every day. I have soft contact lenses by the way. I wash my hands before I stick them on and take them out? But to get things straight can they really damage my eyes if I wear them too long?

Bottom lash line hurts while taking out contact lenses?

I tried contact lenses on for the first time in my life and while I was trying to take them out (5 minutes after I put them on) there was pain in my bottom lash line. My eye, 5 hours later, still feels a bit irritated…
Added (1). My eyes also hurt when I was moving the contact around with my finger I order to take it out.

Contact lenses aren't safe?

I had an eye exam yesterday. I booked an appointment for an eye exam and contact lens fitting/training.

The doctor told me that my eyes are healthy and that I just needed something to help me for far distance. I requested contacts (it would be more convenient for me) and he told me that they aren't safe and they could cause harm to the eyes. I wasn't buying that **** so I asked "such as what?" He said blindness. He went on and on about how they are too much work and it's hard to put them in and take them out. He said either I buy glasses and contacts or just glasses because he wan't just going to let me buy contacts. Since they didn't have a large variety of frames, I asked if I could use the prescription to buy it from somewhere else. But he had me buy a frame that I didn't even like. No exchange or refund.

Funny thing is that after I had paid for the glasses, he told me that I can come in next week for contacts if I'm still interested.

Will Royal Mail tracking or Canada Post tracking tell me if the item is in customs?

I ordered an item about a month ago now. I'm using Royal Mail international signed, which includes tracking. The last thing that the Royal Mail tracking site shows is that the item "has been passed to the over seas delivery service". A website called track it online tells me that the item has left the postal office and is on its way to Toronto, Canada (I live in Ontario) but that the tracking number is not registered in the postal data base of Canada Post, yet.
The item was expected to be delivered in 5-7 business days (UK - Canada) so I suspect that it's stuck in Canadian customs. The reason I'm worried is that there is no indication on tracking that it is in customs. I don't know where this item is right now! Is this okay, and is there any way I can check?
The item is a pair of Halloween contact lenses if that makes a difference.
Thank you in advance!

Where can I find non-prescription contact lenses?

I'm looking for fairly cheap blue, hazel or any natural color non-prescription contact lenses. I live in Pennsylvania and the only places I can think of are Sally's beauty supply, Hot Topic, Hairtown in Wyncote and Walmart. If you're familiar with any of these places, I could really use your help. I have brown eyes and I'm interested in switching my look up a little.

Tiny red spot on eye after taking contact lens out?

I was taking my contacts out a few minutes ago, and my left eye started hurting when I started to take it out of my left eye. The finger I used to take it out had a pretty long nail but I don t know if that s what caused it. When I looked at my eye again in the mirror, there was a TINY red dot on one of my blood vessels, and it s exactly where my eye hurts. Did I scratch my eye or something? Is it very harmful? What should I do now or should I just let it go away?

Is this Elizabeth Taylor's real eye color? (pic inside)? - 2

Look at her eyes! Is that her natural eye color? I always hear that she has a pair of violet eyes but I always thought it was just a rumor or perhaps she likes to wear violet-colored contact lenses. I never actually believe it coz I never think that violet eye color truly exists. Do you think the violet/purple color of her eyes in that pic is real? Or do you think she wore contact lenses? Or perhaps the picture is photoshopped?

Speaking of which, do you think violet eye color truly exists? I'm not talking about violet as in due to light refraction or a variant of blue, but a real solid violet/purple color. Could there be such a color for human's eyes? The wikipedia article on "Eye color" also mentions about violet eye color but there are no sufficient details nor are there pictures.

p.s: I'm talking about natural eye color of course, NOT contact lens LOL.
Added (1). And for those of you who say that violet eye color DOES exist, could you please provide me with your source or pictures? Thanx!
Added (2). Yes that's what I also read in wikipedia. So the article basically says the color is actually a result of light refraction? So there could NOT be a "violet/purple" color pigment on eyes?!
Added (3). To theoutspokenmindofanignoramus: Is that your real eye color? You're not wearing any contacts at all? Well, yes I can see a bit of violet/purple shade there. But if I look your eyes from a distance or just a glimpse, it kinda looks like dark blue. Anyway, thanks for the pic!

Is it normal for my glasses to be thick?

I first got glasses a year and a half ago but I recently needed to get an update in my prescription. My eyes went from -1.25 and -1 to -2.25 in both. I was slightly worried because they seemed to be a lot worse but my friend (who has had glasses forever) said my eyes are still pretty good and even the doctor said I have a low prescription.

That's why I was quite surprised that my new glasses have lenses that are kind of thick (definitely noticeable) and make my eyes look small. I thought they may have made the prescription too high by mistake but I can see perfectly. I didn't pay extra for the thin lenses and I have quite a large frame. Is that why the lenses are so thick? Should I get them replaced with more expensive ones?
Added (1). They aren't an inch thick but they don't look like window glass either.

Do exams for contact lenses also cover glasses?

Basically I wanted to try out contact lenses so I went to get the exam. Talking to the optometrist he recommended I get glasses as well but I told him I did intend on wearing contacts daily if all went well. After the exam he sent me out to wait and he said that I can order glasses and get the training for the contact lenses. Now, let me just say, I'm a broke college student with a minimum wage job I usually support myself so I don't have a ton of money. The lady on the desk asked if I wanted to order the glasses and me being overly eager decided that I only needed contacts. I said I'd hold off on the glasses for now because I don't have the money for them and the exam at the moment. I got my training for the contacts, it took a while but I got them on twice and off once. The thing is I realized. They made me uncomfortable, all the poking to my eyes made them sore and they were pretty uncomfortable. I have plenty of stress and caring for contact lenses just added to it so I decided that they probably aren't for me. The thing is. I feel like I've wasted this money just like that. Since the lady over there asked if I wanted to order the glasses I'm hoping that's still an option. They scheduled me for an appointment for next week and requested that I wear the trial contacts. I know the prescriptions are different but can I still get the glasses?
