Contact lens solution expired?

hi, i've already soaked my contact lens in the solution a week ago but my solution just expired 2 days ago. Can i still use my lens?

Flaming Hot Cheetos + Contact Lens = Bad Combination?

After eating flaming hot cheetos, i didn't wash my fingers thoroughly enough, and took out my left contact lens with the fingers i was eating with. It now has a slight reddish hue, and i'm of course terrified to put it back in my eye (and most certainly will not). Should i be able to clean it properly with my contact solution, or is it a lost cause?

I fainted when I tried on contact lenses! Why so?

So, I decided to try on wearing contact lenses, because I dont like wearing glasses.
I went to a salon where they sell glasses, contacts and also there is an ophthalmologist who check your eyes etc.
So after they checked my eye sight, they offer me to help wearing on contacts.
Doctor helped me to put it on, because I couldnt do it myself since it was my first exp with contacts.
After that I felt light headed, after she put them off I fainted…
Why so? Will it happen again If I try to wear contacts?

P.S. I fainted before when blood test and my nose piercing.

Contact lens prescription change?

My contact lens prescription last year was:
OD -4.75 -0.75 x010
OS -6.50 -0.75 x020

This year my prescription is:
OD: -5.25 -0.75 x010
OS: -7.00 -0.75 x120

My question is: could the axis of one eye really have changed by 100 degrees in one year, or is it more likely that one number was jotted down incorrectly?

Why would my optician change contact lens base curve from 8.6 to 8.4?

I was wearing Soflens comfort for 7 years, they were 8.6 BC. A few months ago I changed the brand to Acuvue Oasys(obviously with optician's prescription) and been wearing them for 2nd month now without a problem. Just by accident I noticed that it states BC 8.4 on the pack now. They feel aboslutely fine though. I'm wondering if the optician made a mistake or is this normal to change BC when switching brands. I'm away from home now so won't be able to get to my optician for another month, wondering if I'm ok to wear them.

How to convert a contact lens prescription to a 20/20 measurement?

My contacts say -3.00 on the box but what would that be in terms of 20/20 reading?

Different contact lens prescription?

Hello!
I'm a daily glasses wearer, with a prescription in my right eye as -1.75 and left eye at -2.00. I usually buy contacts in the same power and they work well for me.

But it can be quite a hassle buying lenses in two different prescriptions, so I was wondering if it would be okay if I were just to wear -2.00 contacts in both eyes? I know a -0.25 difference isn't that huge, but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks in advance!

Can I use blink revita lens contact solution as eye drops?

I get dry eyes with my contacts on, but I can't really go out and get actual eye drops until Friday. Until then can I use contact solution?

How bad exactly is a bad astigmatism?

My cylinder is -0.75.Is this considered just mild? And would it require toric lenses, because they are so much more expensive and my vision for that eye isn't even that bad.

Also, is there a regular prescription that is similar to an astigmatism prescription? Thanks.

Should I switch my contact lenses?

Whenever I swear contacts, my eyes become really dry everytime i look at a large screen (e.g projection) and I have to blink about every 2 seconds, which is frustrating. I have diabetes, but does that affect it? My doctor knows that and got me the Moist Acuvue lenses, but maybe they aren't "moist" enough? Is the problem my eyes or the contact lenses?
