Red in eye after wearing contact lenses?

Last night I wore contact lenses for the first time as part of my Halloween costume. I've just looked in the mirror and I have some red in one eye and quite a lot in the other.

Should I be worried? Will the red go away? What should I do?

Contacts burned my eye?

For Halloween this year, I was a cat. I had cool special fx makeup for my face and I had contact lenses too. I had used these contacts before-hand to make sure they fit my eye and were comfortable. When I went to put the right eye contact in, I knew that there was something on it so I took it out and cleaned it with a solution (with clean hands). When I went to put it back in, it started to burn my eye, so of course, my eye teared up and it was a struggle to get it out. Now, the bottom part of the sclera has a bunch of blood vessels going up and down. I don't know if I tore the contact or had a reaction to the solution but it has been a few days and the blood vessels haven't gone away. It also hurts to blink as well. I understand that these blood vessels supply the eye with oxygen so maybe that has something to do with it? Or maybe I have an infection? Help! What should I do?

Sweat builds up on glasses lenses?

This hasn't really been an issue to me, I don't generally see it when wearing them, though to others it it fairly visible and it is a pain to clean.

I have been wearing glasses for about six months now and the entire time, whenever I wear my glasses for an extended period of time, generally at least an hour and it will start to happen.

It seems to happen mainly on the top inside corners of each lens, on the side facing my eye, though after wearing all day it can spread and sometimes appear on the outside of the lens.

I originally thought that this was something that happens to everyone, though after talking to a few people, none of them have experienced this. The climate doesn't matter, this happens in all seasons.

Is there anyway to stop this from happening, because it is becoming quote tedious.

I apologise if this is in the wrong section, though it seems to be the most relevant to me.

How to clean contact lenses that have been stained red by fake blood?

I know this is a strange question, but last night I went out for Halloween covered in fake blood. I washed my thoroughly before taking my contacts out but the fake blood has stained all my fingers, and it stupidly didn't occur to me that the colour may rub off on my lenses. So I took them out, rubbed them with my fingers and now have two very noticeably red contact lenses. I've left them soaking over night but it hasn't done anything and I have no idea how to get them back to being clear again. Any suggestions?

Desio colored contacts?

I want to order desio colored contact lenses through their site.

I have never had to use contacts what so ever. Always had a clear vision. I'm 21 and my mother is unemployed right now and we do not have insurance at the moment

But my vision has always been good and clear. On the website, it gives me three options and says:

Plano (no prescription) 0.00
Prescription from -0.50 up to -6.00
Special prescription from -6.00 up to +15.00

Can I just choose the Plano one since I can see clear?

I attend college in the early morning time.
For some reason my contact lenses dry out faster when I'm there.
I think it might be because of the large ceiling fan and AC or heating air.
It can be annoying and frustrating having dry reddish looking eyes.
I always soak my contacts and rest my eyes. I think it might be a low quality brand.
What contact lenses brands do you recommend. I need something more durable and doesn't dry as quickly?

I wanna get rid of my glasses it's not gonna happen naturally so I was thinking about surgery or lenses, Im really concerned about my eyes as I feel that each n every part of our body is so much important that you can't risk it for anything. for Halloween I bought some coloured contact lenses and I was wondering if I could wear them over, or under, my prescribed lenses, for only a couple of hours. I know wearing lenses already stops the eye from getting oxygen so wearing two will even more but it will only be a short while, also, I know they can get 'stuck' together but yet again both contacts are daily ones and I wouldn't be wearing them again so would it be okay for a couple of hours?

Help! Halloween contact lenses- safe or not?
Added (1). I recently purchased a pair of white contact lenses over the internet for Halloween. I wear monthly contact lenses anyway and have heard too many stories of people going blind. I wore coloured contact lenses from the same brand last year and I was fine, but I just want to make sure that it would be safe for me to do so this year. I'm 15, if that makes any difference.

What are my eyes prescription details?

I want to purchase some new spectacles for myself from a website (Smart Buy Glasses).
I know I need single vision distance lenses and the website asks for 3 things:
- Right eye info (Sphere & Cylinder if applicable)
- Left eye info (same)
- Pupillary distance
I also have a report from my eye test done a while ago, but I cannot understand a thing from all those medical terms written there.

Having my eye lashes tinted?

Hiya.

I'm getting my eye lashes tinted for the first time today. I have naturally dark hair, including my lashes, but they turn blonde towards the end of the lash.

Since this is my first time having them tinted, I was wondering if you can answer a few questions I have on the topic…

How long after having them tinted can I wear mascara/eyeliner etc?
How long after having them done can I wear my contact lenses?
How long does the colour last?
How to make the colour last (same question for an eyebrow tint too please)?
Is there anything I must avoid doing to my face/eyes after having them done?

Lied during my eye test what to do?

I stupidly said one of the lenses was clearer in my left eye which actually wasn't true. Now she is going to change my prescription and said I got worse. I assumed that if I went for the blurrier one that it meant they would weaken my prescription (I read that eyesight improves if you retrain them with weaker prescriptions). Anyway it turns out the blurry one is the worst one. I'm really afraid! What should I do? Should I confess that I lied once they've made my new glasses? I technically would have remained the same had I not lied.

My father bought me Red Wolf contact lenses from the company Magic Eye, and I was wondering if anybody knows how long I can wear them and if I can use them more than once. It was $20 out of his paycheck and I'd feel rather bad if there were those "use-them-once-then-you're-screwed" kinds of contacts.

Which way do my contacts go?

No seriously - I have Freshlook Dimensions lenses and I notice they have a little (TINY!) imprinted letter on the very edge of each lens. I need to know if the print is supposed to face in or out! I know you're normally supposed to be able to tell if a soft lens has flipped inside-out by its curvature and how it feels when it's in, but I really can't tell with these because they're So flimsy compared to my monthly lenses (these are 2-week wears). No matter which way these face, I can see just about the same and either way they're a bit uncomfortable but I'm just getting used to them. Does anyone know?
Added (1). As it turns out, the 3 answers on here are incorrect. I finally got a hold of CIBA the maker of the lenses and they said the letters "fl" should be facing in when the lens is placed on the eye. Sorry guys, no best answer.

I have been wearing contact lenses with the same brand for five years and recently, my right eye becomes red (around the iris) after like 3 hours of use… I even took a 1 week pause and opened new ones but still the same reaction… I don't even wear them a lot, maybe I should change brand?

After care for cartilage piercing?

So, I got my cartilage pierced yesterday the place I got it pierced said to use antibacterial soap to first clean it and then either a ready made saline solution or homemade solution (salt and boiling water), however reading online I've heard that you shouldn't use table salt, which is the only kind of salt I own, I have looked for non iodized sea salt which is recommended, however I can't seem to find this anywhere. So my question is this, is table salt okay to continue using? Or should I buy a sterile saline solution which is used for contact lenses, would this work?

Help please! I want the best thing to use for my piercing to avoid infection!

Also, I clean it twice a day with cotton buds.

my ophthalmologist prescribed 6 diapoters (3 in each eye) to treat double vision. I currently don't have a prism in my lenses. I was wondering if it would make more sense to have a slightly lower prism prescription in order to allow my eye muscles to do some work (particularly my left eye muscle which is weak)?

Solved the biggest mystery?!

So naturally I would say my left eye is a bit bigger then my right eye. And my sister told me too. So I decided to wear normal contact lenses on my right eye and my sister told me my right eye was bigger 0_o. So yes contact lenses do make your eyes a big bigger… There you go. Your life is now complete.

Circle lenses PROBLEM?

My regular prescription is:

(LEFT)
-6.50 -1.75 x170
Base curve: 8.7
Diameter: 14.5

(RIGHT)
-6.50 -2.25 x10
Base curve: 8.7
Diameter: 14.5

Yesterday, I received my circle lenses and they are the same prescription as my clear ones, the only difference is the base curve and the diameter. The circle lenses base curve is 8.6 and the diameter is 14.0. I can see really well out of my right one, but the left lense is blurry. I've cleaned them properly and everything. Since I can see clear out of my right one, could there be something wrong with my left one?

I'm confused about my eyeglasses prescription. Help?

My Rx is (what I can read):

for right eye: -4.25 spl (or some kind of doctor's chicken-scratch writing that looks like that)
for left eye: -6.25 -0.50 x 180

What does this mean? I got glasses 5 days ago and was having some issues that seem people with "progressive lenses" have. Do I have progression lenses?

I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but I honestly want to know what my prescription means.
What is that "spl" (?) at the end of the right eye, and what does the -.50 x 180 mean after the left?

I don't even know if I have progression lenses. Any thoughts?

As Halloween is coming up my daughter keeps asking me if she can wear coloured contact lenses for it. Contact lenses with a base curve.1mm off? Wrong size? Is it okay?

My base curve for contact lenses is 8.5mm and 14.2 diameter. (Acuvue Moist Dailies)

I want to order circle lenses, and every single base curve for them is 8.6mm,
Will it make a difference when I wear them?
It's just.1mm, 1/10 of a millimeter off, so…

And what if I got one a little bigger? Should I just stick to 14.2mm diameter?
