Toric contact lenses discomfort?

I recently got a trial pair of toric contact lenses (Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism) and I feel discomfort on my eyes. Before I tried normal contact lenses (Acuvue Oasys) and when I put them on they felt like nothing was there. I could see pretty well and I experienced no discomfort of any sort. However, with the toric lenses, although my vision is somewhat clearer, I feel like there's something on the outer rim of my eye and it bothers me. I asked my doctor and looked it up online and learned that astigmatism lenses are more "taco shaped" and not round like regular ones. It's also thicker and has two prescriptions. You can only see clear if it's in the correct place. I can see pretty clear, it's just irratable, that's all. Help?

My contact lenses keep falling out?!

I can easily get my lens in from a newly opened pack but after a day or so they won't stay in. I suspect they are losing their bowl shape but I cannot figure out why. Considering each lens is supposed to last a month ( as prescribed) I can't keep throwing them away. And I have noticed a few times that when I open my lens case that the contact is no longer in the solution but stuck to the inner cap in a folded position. (Which is what I suspect to be the cause of them losing shape).

Is wearing contacts, or glasses better when fighting allergies?

I have adopted two kittens at the local humane society a few years back without knowing I'm allergic to cats. I will never get rid of them because they are apart of the family now. My eyes unfortunately are always red an itchy or sore an I also cut hair so hair particles of all kinds are always flying in my eyes. I primarily wear monthly disposable contact lenses. An always fine eye lash/little hair on corners of my eyes:(

My question is, is it better to wear glasses or contacts for keeping hair out of my eyes, an less irritated?

My eye hurts really bad after wearing my contacts?

So I wear contacts at night and they shape your eye so you can take them out in the morning and see perfectly. They're called rigid gas permeable contact lenses.

I've been wearing these for a year and a half. Recently I haven't been wearing them as often just because they're a pain to put in. I wore them last night and now my eye hurts so bad.

There's just like a stinging pain that fades in and out. My eye is watering like crazy and it hurts even worse when I close my eye.

Do you think my contact somehow scratched my eyeball? I don't think anything is in my eye because that's a different kind of pain and I don't really see anything in it.

At first the pain wasn't that bad but throughout the day the pain has gotten worse. How can I ease the pain and do you think it's a scratch?
Added (1). I've examined my eye and there doesn't appear to be any marks or visible scratches. My eye isn't really bloodshot but it is slightly pink. Maybe I have pink eye?

How should I mathematically model the shape of the human eye lens?

How should I mathematically model the shape of the human eye lens? - 1
Added (1). What shape should I model the eye lens as? Should it be a single ellipse, a double ellipse (one side being larger than the other) or are their any ways to function its shape if I have the thickness and equatorial diameter?
Added (2). Is it acceptable if I model it as two semi ellipse? I am trying to create a 'simplistic' model of the human eye lens, I was just wondering if it was too inaccurate.

What s a good lens cover to put on goggles so that water doesn t bead on them?

I wear corrective lenses so need contacts or glasses to see. But if I use contacts in the ocean I need to wear goggles over them, but the water forms droplets on the lens and I can t see. I ve tried a couple different solutions, but they typically wipe away and water smears over the lens again.

Any successful solutions other than getting lasik?

Can contact lenses handle near/far distance like progressive eyeglasses?

I am thinking of getting contact lenses to replace my current PROGRESSIVE eyeglasses. I am very myopic with -5 diopters left eye and -9.25 diopters right eye. My current eyeglasses are progressive for both close and far distance.

Can contact lenses handle near and far vision in the same way as do progressive eyeglasses. Or can you only get contacts for one distance (say near or far) and then have to wear eyeglasses on top of that? (hope not).

What's a good waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner?

I've tried the waterproof maybelline rocket mascara but when i tested it out in the shower to see if it would smudge or flake it did. I decided to try the Stila waterproof liquid eyeliner because it got a lot of good reviews and when I tested it out in the shower it left a pile of flakes under my eye… I wear contact lenses so if I get water in my eye my contact gets blurry and I have to clean it. When I dunk my head underwater and get back out of the water I rub my face and then the eyeliner comes off or the mascara flakes. I have really oily eyes too so heh… I like liquid eyeliners(I like the look of it but I'm still trying to look for a good liquid one that's waterproof) but I'm also trying to find a good waterproof pencil eyeliner. I've heard better reviews on the maybelline falsies lashes, is that better than the rocket mascara and less smudgy?

I was on Accutane for 5 months with dry eyes to begin with, but now that I've been off for a few weeks my eyes have been very dry and my left contact will spaz out in my eye forcing me to blink rapidly until I take it out… When I take it out, I have a pain in my eye. Am I being unreasonable and spoilt?

I realise this is the question of a very spoilt girl.
Some months ago, when I graduated college, I was awarded a minor scholarship by my school for excelling in a subject. My mother feels like my sister (we're twins) also deserved the scholarship, and that may be true, seeing that she seemed to have a fairly unattentive/disinterested teacher, but only one person could be given the award and it turned out to be me. Now, my mum decides that in order to show my sister that she and my dad think she deserves recognition as well, she will give her a tablet of her (my sister's) choice, even though my sister, good as she may be, on numerous occasions has "boasted" abt how little time she has spent on her school work. I already have a tablet, I got it for christmas/my birthday (our birthday is on christmas eve) bc of the difference in how much they have spent on her vs me during the last few years (a fairly large sum). My mum says I should be happy knowing they would have given me what they gave my sis, if they could have (I quit my riding lessons while she continued bc I was afraid, and I got sore eyes/blurred vision from wearing contact lenses, we both need an expensive prescription type) and my dad thinks I'm ungrateful counting everything I haven't got, but I can't help feeling a bit upset. Why would the "feeling" that if they had their way, I would have got everything my sis got be enough, while my sis is given a tablet to make up for the school's decision they found faulty?

Should I get toric lenses?

Hey! I have a question regarding toric contact lenses. My powers are: Right Eye: -2.50, Cyl -.75, Axis 180 and Left Eye: -2.75 Cyl, -1.00 Axis 180. I wear contact lenses rarely, mostly in situations when I can t wear my glasses, like when I m playing sports or swimming.

With this power, should I buy toric lenses? Not only are they more expensive, but from what I ve read, they re also uncomfortable to wear. And if not toric lenses, what spherical lenses should I be using?
