What is the spherical lens equivalent prescription for me?

My eyesight prescription is
O.D. -3.75 (spherical) | -0.25 (cylindrical) | 105 (axis)
O.S. -3.75 (spherical) | -0.25 (cylindrical) | 80 (axis)

Could I get away with using normal contact lenses instead of toric lenses? What would my prescription for the prior be?

I regret wearing lenses?

Hi

I'm an Indian girl who's in her late teens.

And I ONCE wore lenses. ONCE in my whole life - they were gray colored lenses that looked good with my dark brown/almost black eyes.

I've had a friend who had dark green eyes and they are rare so she gets called beautiful very much.
When I wore lenses that day, at that time she told me I look pretty, but after we stopped being friends she said something to someone like 'Simplicity is beauty and people should not use fake things'. That hurt a LOT because I know she has gorgeous eyes but it just feels so awkward whenever I look at myself.

I mean I used lenses ONCE and now she always thinks I'm some fake person and I'm not beautiful enough or something like that.

I know this is something stupid to worry over but since the last week I'm really feel down over the way she's been judging me over appearance, etc.

What do you think? Thanks a lot

I get a lazy eye when I don't have my contacts in or when I'm wearing glasses?

Hi, I'm just wondering why I get a lazy eye whenever I'm not wearing contacts or glasses. My left eye always starts to "drift" around whenever I focus on something when I don't have any "corrective lens," but doesn't when I am wearing one. Thanks:)

What just happened to my eye color?

from months, i am so much into changing my eye color permanently… I came across many natural methods like honey and stuff but i tried none because i was scared of the outcome… I think about my eye color alot. That i might have a beautiful lighter shade… But guess what happened today… I was looking in the mirror and noticed that there was a slight change in my eye color… It was lighter… Even my mom felt the change… How did it change without me doing anything… And has it really changed or am i just imagining.

Headaches and eye pain?

I have really bad sharp pain when i look up down left or right? I don't know why? It gives me painful headaches:( it's been going on for about 3 days. It seems the pains are around my forehead and my eyebrows… It's really painful and frustrating. I don't know what or why the causes are but i want to mention that my parents suggested that it's because of vision? I wear contacts and glasses the past three days i've only been wearing my contacts (they are circle lens). The first i wore them about 8hrs which is the suggested maximum time. And the next day i didn't wear anything at all since i spent the day inside and it was gloomy so i didn't care and today i wore contacts for about 6 hours. The night before the pain started i had my hair dyed and i heard that being in the hair salon washing sink could be a cause? I was and i don't know if it is? Btw, i'm 13 and female if it helps? :/

Contact lenses bothering me?

I wear lenses all the time and never have problems. During the summer I work at camp and I am outside all day. My left contact only really bothers me and I feel it coming off my eye slightly all day when I blink. I see the blur of the contact in my eye. I never go in chlorine pool and don't put sunscreen near my eyes. This only happens at camp. I am fine when I wear contacts at home during weekend. Why does this happen? Thanks

Can i wear Gas Permeable Contacts on lazy eye?

for those who don't know what lazy eye is, please do not comment, i asked my eye doctor about it and he said i can get used to it however i can't even get it in the lazy eye(you have to focus on the gas Perm. Contats which is way smaller than the regular one and way harder, after you put it in your eyes you can blink until it's adjusted, and it CAN get stuck on the edges of your eyes, what scares me is that i wasn't able to learn how to put it in, as a matter of fact i wasn't even able to put it in the lazy eye without rapidly blinking and having extremely red eyes(happened at the doc's office) i tried taking them off and on about 3 times and this happened in all 3 times, and they are also extremely expensive and they take about 1-3 months to get used to for the eye that can move normally, so for those who knows about the matter do you think itd be better if i just get glasses?
Added (1). Contats(line 2)= Contacts
spelling fix: you can fix(line 3)= you can't blink

Optometrist won't give prescription!

I went to an IRIS optometrist and got an eye exam which i payed 95$. Than i asked for a contact lens fitting which he charged 50$. He gave me a sample set of contacts to try and i asked for my contact lens prescription. He said he couldn't give me my contact lens prescription because that information is classified. He gave me the contacts without the box in another case. I was wondering if he is legally required to give me my prescription since i payed for it and considering that they charge 60-70$ per box, when other places charge oly15-20$ per box? Thank you!

Quick nap in contacts?

I got contacts 4 days ago and I'm scared to take short naps in them. I was coming home one day while my mom was driving (I didn't feel like driving home) and it was a 35 minute ride, but I didn't close my eyes for more than 5 seconds because I was scared they'd get stuck behind my eyelid. How realistic is that happening just from sleeping for 30-45 minutes? And how long do you usually nap in your lenses?

New pair of Acuvue Oasys are blurry?

A couple weeks ago, I went in for an eye exam and then I left with my first "trial" pair of Acuvue Oasys for my right eye and Acuvue Oasys for astigmatism for my left. They felt perfectly fine and my follow up appointment a week later was fine, too; so I ordered the prescribed contacts and got them in the mail.

Just today, I opened a new pair up and put them on, except they were really blurry. The contacts made my vision more blurry than when I didn't have them on. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with these contacts.

Cant afford to see a doctor, need advice about my eye, please?

My left upper eye lid has been twitching on and off all day for 5 days now. Before the twitching began I also started having headaches. I'm a 19 year old female. I have an unhealthy diet and don't drink water but my bmi is healthy. I have been wearing soft contact lenses for at least 2 years with no problems and i am careful. I do however wear eye makeup and often rub my eyes and I use my phone a lot. I am short sighted. What is wrong with my eye? Will it just stop eventually? What can I do? Would really appreciate help. Thanks in advance.

I have been looking at Oakley sunglasses for awhile now specifically for running only (I also play golf, but not often), and sometimes casual wear. I can't decide between those different models of sunglasses. Also, is getting polarized lenses worth it? My right eye has been red since morning. I wear contact lens and I do NOT remember if it was red before i put it on. It's now at night, and I've only worn for 8 hours. The red is not very like RED RED RED it's like very light, it doesn't look bad at all, it's just I don't know.red? Lol. I doesn't irritate me, it doesn't hurt, burn, itch or anything. If i don't lookm in the mirror, I wouldn't even know that it's red. I have no problems opening or closing my eyes, it doesnt tear or anything.

One of my contact lens always gets cloudy?

One of my contact lens always gets cloudy?
Added (1). So I got my first ever pair last month and they worked perfectly fine for the entire July. However when August came, my right contact lens has been a real pain in the butt. It never cooperates and always gets cloudy (then gets clear again, then cloudy again) no matter how thoroughly I clean it. My left one however is truly cooperative and has always beencrystal clear.

I don't know if my right eye has the problem or its my lens that has the problem.
Added (2). Since this "happening", I've noticed that even after wearing my contact lenses, my right eye would still become quite cloudy for a few times in a day.

Could my right eye be the problem?

Maybe I should just rest my eyes from my contacts for a week?

Enlarged veins behind pupils? Vision loss and irritation?

A few years ago when I was 18/19 I went to the eye doctor for a check up and to get colored contacts. During dilation the doctor said I had enlarged nerves (optic nerves I think he said) and that I will start losing vision in my late 30's/early 40's. I know everyone's vision gets worse as they age. I'm 23 now and haven't been since. I have always suffered from light sensitivity, headaches/migraines, nausea, or eye strain when looking all the way to the corners of my eyes. I am concerned because I work in web development/animation and my eyes have been glued to a screen majority of the day for most of my life. I just don't know what affect this can cause and if there is any options I should take?

BTW I am very thin (101lbs) and do not have high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. I do suffer from acid reflex and some mental illnesses but the only tumor I've had was a breast tumor that was benign. Thanks.
Added (1). Update: I meant nerves in the question, not veins. Also I have 20/20 vision now.

Where can I buy completely black BJD eyes?

My ball jointed doll is a modern day witch and I wanted her to have all black eyes. Like, black pupils, iris, cornea, sclera, etc. Etc. Pretty much it looks like black sclera lenses. Cheap solutions for 12 dob?

I'm heading out tonight to get a 12" lightbridge, and was wondering a few things:

1.) Any cheap and easy ways to make a lightshroud? (I'm sure I can figure this out, but wondering if anybody has suggestions for materials.

2.) Mirror cleaning. I've never had a reflector, and am not sure how to clean the mirror appropriately when needed (I am told to only do so maybe once or twice a year), what solutions are useful, etc?

3.) Mirror protection. Any materials suggested for covering the primary mirror and the secondary mirror housing? I'm thinking it might not be the greatest idea to directly cover the primary, as I assume moisture can get trapped in there.

4.) Cheap/easy solutions for a dew shield?

Any other suggestions for a first time dobsonian owner would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Added (1). Also, I have tons of microfiber cloth, I assume this would come in handy when it comes to mirror care, correct?

WHAT DOES HE WANT ME TO DO?

I have a colleague who I used to have small arguments with, but now that we talked things over, our so called friendship is getting better, I started a few things about him:
1. He tries hard to see where I am when I am not around.
2. He tells me to smile when he thinks I am sulking (where I think I am just serious), and when I smile (or laugh), he asks me why I am laughing, and he tells me I should smile more often.
3. When I told him he looked younger after the break we had, he kept asking me whether he looked older, and even though I kept telling him that I was joking, he got sad. And he just laughs away when other people joke about worse stuff.

4. He comes and gets some food stuff off me, even if he doesn't most of the time end up eating it…
5. He told me I am so quite and that he doesn't even realise whether I am around or not… But my colleagues think I am very active and talkative. He asked me whether I was bored.
6. When I had my green contact lenses on the other day, he looked at me and asked me whether I had my contacts on. When I affirmed it, he first told me I looked strange, then told me they look beautiful on me:)

7. He once told me that one of his school friends had the same female name as mine, and he used to call her the short version of my name (some cute abbreviation). And after a few days, he told some other people the same thing, and just today he called me with that name.
He also looks at me a lot when he talks to my room-mate at work…

Should I Always Wear My Glasses?

I've been wearing glasses since I was seven years old and have only ever been to one eye doctor. They originally told me when I was seven one eye was stronger than the other and I needed to correct that with glasses and wearing an eye patch. I am now in my 20s. When I take off my glasses, I see no difference except everything is smaller. The only difference I notice is that my glasses magnify things like by 100 percent. This makes things look bigger and up close. But I have never been told really what's wrong with my eyes. I think I'd be fine without glasses. I do not see blurry. I do not see out of focus. I see everything clearly. And even with my glasses on I see blurry at night. My aunt needs perscription glasses but never wears them for vain reasons. I feel sort of the same. I hate wearing them. I look better without them. And my eyes are too little and too dry for contact lenses - I once got a contact stuck in my eye and it took three techs at the eye doctor to try to peel it off. So nope. No contacts for me. I was just wondering what you think is wrong with my eyes and if you think I can get away without wearing glasses. I used to get headaches reading so I was thinking of perhaps only wearing them to read or at night when my eyes get "tired." I just really don't think I need them constantly. I once went without glasses for a week when they broke and it took me a few days of head aches but I got used to not wearing glasses at all. What are your thoughts?

Blurry computer screen with lenses, not with glasses?

I've just started wearing contact lenses for being short-sighted (-1.75) and when looking at a computer screen close up, it looks slightly blurry.

Looking at the same screen with glasses on (same prescription), it is crisp.

My eyes aren't dry or tired, is this normal to have worse vision close up when wearing lenses for short-sightedness as it doesn't happen with my glasses.

Thanks!

Torn contact lens - what do I do?

So, I just got my contact lenses a week ago, and already one of them is torn. I was trying to take it out and couldn't get it to come off, so I pinched it just a little and let it fold in half. But I guess I was too rough with it, and now it has a small crack. I have a follow-up appointment on Monday. So what's going to happen now? This was the trial pair, but does that affect how much it'll cost to replace it? And what can I do in the future to prevent tearing? I'd be more careful when I'm taking them out, but I just can't seem to get them to detach from my eye without making them fold in half or bend weirdly. Thanks in advance.

Eyes are sore with glasses?

I first got my glasses in May, and my eye doctor said that I needed glasses for three years and it was about time to get them. My right eye was perfect, with a dummy lens in the glasses. My left eye needed the correction from the lens. When I first got my glasses, my vision was crystal clear. Then, I got contacts to supplement my glasses. The solution was burned my eye when using it and my vision was not improved at all with the contact lens. After a week, I went to my eye doctor again and told her this, and she ordered a stronger lens that has yet to arrive. Since this, though, my glasses have not seemed as strong. My bad left eye is no longer crystal clear like when I got my glasses. My eye is very sore throughout the day, feeling strained and like it could use a good rest. What might be causing this and is this normal?

Contact lens concern. Maybe I'm paranoid?

New contact lens wearer here. I haven't worn them in two days because my eyes were bothering me. Itchy, red, just kind of annoyed. I've been having other allergy symptoms too. Gunky lungs, alternations between runny nose and stuffed up nose, and major, MAJOR sinus pressure and headaches (I've had one for three days actually -_-). I don't normally get such bad seasonal allergies this time of year, and not normally with such bad eye symptoms, but we've been doing a remodel at work and I've been exposed to two things that kill me: dust and mold. So I'm not really surprised.

Anyway yesterday I got my new contacts in the mail, so I went to put my contacts in after works, and surprise, I had a redder patch on my eye going from the iris to the interior corner, so I thought better of putting contacts in. I was a little concerned, but I'd been having allergies, and a stabby eyelash I discovered.

Well today I woke up and the red patch was gone, the itchiness was gone, though the sinus pressure remains much to my annoyance; it's always the longest symptom. So I put in my contacts. My eyes feel completely fine other than the sinus pressure and headache that still won't abate. But I feel like the veins in my eyes are just super noticeable. My eyes aren't red, it's the veins that are always visible… Just, I don't know, more visible?

I currently have no itchiness, no pain, no discharge (and never had the last two). Should I be concerned at all? I'm paranoid about infection.
