Accuvue contact lens irritating my eyes?

I started using lens 1 1/2 years ago of Bausch And Lomb. Really comfortable and I loved it. But I read this review on the internet that Accuvue lens ae vert soothing and soft for your eyes and I bought 6 pairs of them for 6 months (monthly disposable). Starting using them 2 days ago. It was hard to put them in my eyes first but once I did, ever since then I'm feeling like there's something in the corners of my eyes and its irritating me. First I thought my eyes are adapting to new lenses but its the 3rd day and I'm feeling the same. Should I go back to Bausch And Lomb or what? I also have spectacles just in case I wear them at night and not the whole day cuz I love lens so much. Help please I don't wanna stop wearng lenses!

I'm never happy when I'm on Vacation?

Ok, so here is the story. I'm not boring. Whenever we go out on a vacation with my husband, I would love to go out and have fun but in the evening after 6-7PM, I get this feeling to return to the hotel room. This happened to me when I went to disney world. My husband was pretty pissed off because of that. I feel very cold. I feel uneasy. Now, I'm here on this vacation and my husband was telling me to roam around in car. I was like.no. I don't wana put contact lenses, I just wana stay in room. Then he said me to sit in balcony.so, I sat down in balcony. Then he said to play some music, I did play but I turned volume down. He asked, what happened. I said there must be neighbours in the floor below. I wasn't sure if they were there. I'm always cautious that I don't bug anybody or that nobody complaints about us. Also, that I hate loud noises. He was so mad at me that I ruin every holiday of his. He spoiled all of the evening. Is there my fault? I hate loud noises, I feel cold in the evenings. I just wana sit and relax in a holiday. I wake up at 5am, go to work, come back at 5pm, go to kitchen to cook full meal for my husband. I get tired. I even don't like vacations. I just wana sleep and sleep. I wake up early in hotel rooms with a fear that housekeeping would knock soon to clean our room. My husband said that I'm depressing. He said that I say no to everything. Should I see a doctor?

Cloudy/greasy contact lens?

I wear Acuvue Advance Plus and have worn these for about a year. They are two-week lenses.

Over the past few months, I've been having trouble. It seems like one side (it varies at different times, too) "gets something on the contact" somehow after a few days and it is this whitish film looking stuff that appears as if it is greasy when I attempt to scrub it clean with my fingers, using solution. Then I get it clean… I put it in and within a small amount of time (usually hours), it's like it gets dirty again and has the haze/white film on it. I've tried changing contacts when that happened (this wasn't back to back… The old were taken out on the previous night and the new ones were put in the new morning). Still the same issue. I see nothing that my eyes are emitting apart from the normal small amount of "sleepy" that gets in the corners (not on the contacts themselves). This white film/haze is almost always a circular-like ring that is right in the middle of the contact.

I've worn contacts almost always, since around 2004 or 2005. On a day or two each week, I leave them out to give my eyes some rest. I never wear them to bed. They go in during the morning and out every night by about midnight. They soak in multipurpose solution overnight.

Added (1). When I take them out of my eye at night, I do wash them with water briefly, to get any gunk off from them after scrubbing them lightly with my finger. Then I soak them in the multipurpose solution overnight. Before I put them in in the morning, I lightly scrub them with solution, wash them with water briefly (because using solution to wash stuff off from them doesn't seem to work that well), then I rinse them again with the solution before putting them in my eyes.

Added (2). I should also note that about 6 months ago, I started a new job within my company. I work in the meat/seafood departments of a grocery store in interchangeable positions several nights per week. We spray a deli detergent that does say "eye irritant" on it, but I don't get anything in my eyes that I am aware of. We also use some sanitizing stuff for the pans and utensils and such that we use. However, even on other days when I'm not in those areas, I get this white film.

Added (3). This white film/fog of sorts seems to be directly in the middle… Sometimes it is actually in a circular pattern around what I presume is the corner (?) pattern in the middle of the contact. So for some reason, it seems to get trapped there and/or originate from there for some reason. When I wear my glasses, I have no issues. There doesn't appear to be any type of infection or anything in my eyes. No stye, bumps or eye injuries that I know of.

Added (4). Hmm… Typo correction: "This white film/fog of sorts seems to be directly in the middle… Sometimes it is actually in a circular pattern around what I presume is the CORNEA (?) pattern in the middle of the contact"

Lenses off for glasses?

Hi,

I just had my eyes checked, and it turns out I needed prescription lenses for astigmatism & farsightedness… Now finally after two weeks after trying to find damn transportation back to walmart, I noticed my far off vision was better but now at night I notice the starbursts around lights haven't improved by much.

I can't afford to buy new lenses, and I'll probably just throw them away may as well have burned the money on fire guess that's what I get for using wallmart. Will my eyes adjust and solve this double vision and starbursts I see around lights? Or what… I'll try it for two weeks, if not I'll just throw them away.

Someone accused me of sucking in my tummy in a picture and I wasn't?

A guy asked for a picture of me, and I sent it. Then he made some comment about how I look chubby and I'm obviously sucking in my stomach anyway. I am a size 16, so yeah I may be chubby, but I was not sucking in my stomach. I just have really big boobs compared to my waist, bigger than average (DD size). I've recently lost about 25 pounds, and I know my body and the way I gained weight - my stomach got a lot flatter while my boobs stayed close to the same size. Assuming that I lose weight in the same way that I gained it in the first place, the boobs won't start to go until I get down to a size 12.

But now I feel embarrassed because someone accused me of sucking in my tummy, even when I didn't. What should I do?

Added (1). Is there a certain way that someone looks if they're sucking in their stomach? I don't want everyone to think I'm that insecure that I would do that. I was wearing pretty powerful Spanx in the pic, but not sucking in my stomach.

How to look pretty without standing out too much?

So, I am 14 and a goth and I want to stay this way. I accept who I am or rather, what I want to be. I am just sick of people looking at me and speaking about me behind my back and calling me fake. I just have to wear make-up. I am not naturally pretty at all. I have a big nose, spotty skin, small eyes and I am a bit chubby. I usually over exaggerate my eyes in order for them to look bigger, I would get circle lenses but it is hard to get them in the UK, I also wear a lot of foundation in order to cover up the dark circles under my eyes, spots and any other flaws. I wear subtle lipstick/lipgloss so I do not think it is a big problem. I also wear expensive gothic dresses whenever I go out because I rarely go out and when I am at school I wear school uniform. So, how do I make my goth and big eye looks more subtle?

Buying contact lenses?

Hi there,

I currently pay £20 a month for my contact lenses from an optician.
I saw on a few websites that they sell contact lenses

Without an optician, is it possible to arrange a contact lens appointment for a fee, and buy my own lenses privately?

I hope you know what I mean?

Many thanks

GREEN contacts for brown eyes?

Okay, I have medium brown/hazel eyes. I don't dislike them, I own regular contacts that I wear often but sometimes I like to switch it up and wear colored contacts as well. I really enjoy green contacts. I have tried freshlooks in regular green and gemstone green. The regular green doesn't really show up and the gemstone green was too "reptile" looking if you know what I mean. I have tried a few lenses from pinkyparadise.com, I LOVE the puffy 3 tone greens but they're 14.5 mm, that's just a little too big for me. I love how solotica and waicon lenses look but they're rather expensive. What's a good green contact lens that's cheap but will still give me a beautiful light green color over my brown eyes? Thanks!

Best thing for itchy eyes (hayfever)?

My hayfever seems to worsen every year and this year its started a month or so early.
I can cope with the sneezing, runny nose, itchy nostrils etc but I'm finding it hard to deal with the itchy eyes. I rubbed my eyes so much thing morning they went all bloodshoot. It also means I either can't wear eye makeup or I look like a panda!

I know that rubbing them can make it worse but I literally cant stop myself.

I've only tried clarityn tablets so far which have taken the edge off slightly but not done much.
I haven't tried eye drops yet because I wear contact lenses (continuous wear) and there are not many drops Ive found that you can use with lenses.

Can anyway recommend anything tablets or otherwise (in the UK please) that have helped combat this as its getting unbearable. Thank you!

Has anyone ever tried wearing colored contacts or circle lenses through airport customs?

i'm going to japan in a couple of weeks. I was wearing my contact lenses when the DFA took my passport photo. And they made my eyes look bigger because of some light reflection or something. The only way my eyes would look like my photo is if i wear my circle lenses.

so i was wondering if anyone has ever tried wearing colored contacts or circle lenses through airport customs and will it cause problems? If they ask me to remove them then my eyes would look different than on my passport photo.

Not just hers but every person with glasses I've met and tried I can see perfectly through them no matter how thick or thin. & every time I tell the person wearing glasses I can se through them perfectly they ask me, "really?!" & when this other girl who didn't need glasses looked through the glasses said it was blurry. Darkness under eyes?

Just switched back to contact lenses from glasses recently. I've always had this problem with my eyes, how it looks like I haven't slept in years but I definitely get 8 hours of sleep every night.

I quit caffeine a few weeks ago, decaf, no soda, no alcohol, cigs, drugs, nothing. Multivitamin every morning. Tried different cream, I've even been desperate enough for makeup but I'm a guy. Age 25, good shape, muscular, normal sleep schedule for I'm a college student.

I feel like putting my glasses back on, I look evil.

Hey.
So i had an Eye doctor apointment a day ago with my eye doctor.
He's an older fat bald guy who is really nice.
Anyway.
I have to return soon apparently top pick up a trial pair of glasses and he said they would call my when they were ready to pick up.
Soo.

Later at work today, i get a text message from a number saying hello, and how are my trial lenses working etc/and signatured his doctor name.
I Figured ok whatever. I guess he texted me to see whats up.
I responded and said id pick up my lenses when i get off work in a day.
Then he responds asking if i would like to go to his house to play pool with him…
Wtf?
Sorry. But am i the weirdo? Or is this just odd for a doctor to ask of this?
I rarely even see the man…

any insight? Thank you.

Are my trial contact lenses my actual prescription?

The opticians sent me home with a few trial pairs. In a week I have to go back to check if they are ok and then pay £35 for them to give me my prescription.

Something is moving in my eye?

Sometimes I feel small things squirming about from the inside of my eyes. It usually doesn't hurt when that happens, although at times I feel a sharp pain, as though some kind of pointy thing were being forced into it. Sometimes it get the sensation of it just falling out of my skull.
When I tell my parents, they tell me it's all in my head, and I can't find anything helpful on the internet really.
I do wear contact lenses occasionally, but they don't enhance eyesight or anything, they're just for Cosplay and stuff.
I also don't wear glasses.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

First time wearing contacts - feels like eyelash in eye?!

I purchased the Desio Lenses, I have 20/20 vision and have no problems in general with my eyes, and my family has no history of eye problems and all have near perfect vision.
I got these so I could change my eye colour as I have extremely dark brown eyes.

Any way, since I had never worn contacts before, I did my research, watched tons of videos and I eventually felt confident to do it!
Well, it sure was a struggle! Apparently it's much easier than it looks. I only practiced on my right eye as I didn't want to irritate both. After a solid hour and a half I finally got it in, but it did not adjust. I made sure it was as clean as possible but it just wouldn't adjust, it felt like I had an eyelash at the very top.
I put the left contact in first go and had no pain what so ever.

I'm scared that I scratched my cornea, but my mind is telling me I just irritated my eyes - as before I put in the contact my eye was itchy as all hell, so I rubbed it for a while.
I can't afford to see the eye doctor right now, so someone reassure me and tell me what else I can do!

Thanks in advance!

Added (1). I most definitely took it out! I'm starting to think there's some mascara in there (I was wearing some and forgot to take it off!) Thank you for your answer - I need to learn to love my dark eyes!

Added (2). I figured out the problem! So for any one who's reading and having a similar experience - my contact was torn, torn, torn! I was cleaning it when I noticed. If you have pain when you wear them, your contact is most likely torn!
