I have quite a high + prescription. I'm thinking of asking about contacts as I have an eye test next week. I don't want to ask for them if they'll hurt or get stuck in my eye or something.

Why do people look at me alot? - 1
Okay, well I'll try to keep this short.
People treat me differently because of how I look… There's a picture for anyone about to ask.http://urluknown.tumblr.com/
I don't have many friends and everyone is so catty with me. I have magnified eyes and I'm worried that no one will take me seriously in the future. I've tried thinking of how I could look, deformed..but in the long run, it never makes me feel any better. I don't have any other things wrong with me, so people just act weird with me.
It's really starting to effect me. I can't make eye contact. I seek advise from a friend who is quite large but has confidence.
I used to contact lenses, and looked stunning, but I found that they were uncomfortable and had to wear glasses again. I even had a boyfriend.
So, how do I deal with this? Not looking for attension.just want advise.
Forgot to add that people stare.
That is the only picture I have of myself.
No boys like me, they just use me as an ego boost.
I want to be a vet and this is what is keeping me strong for the moment.

I am 17 years old and I am short-sighted (-4.30) And it's almost 2 years that I'm using contact lenses, before I always wore glasses. I'm using them 12 hours a day. Please tell me, what kind of damages can it cause my eyes, and is it possible that the color of my eyes can be changed?

What is so dangerous about circle lenses?
I have heard that they are dangerous and can cause damage to your eyes but no one ever says what damage they actually cause.i really want to get them but i want to know if there safe or not or if there is just some big exaggeration about how bad they are. Thank you in advanced.

Is my contact still in my eye?
So, I've been trying for, like, an hour to get my right contact lens out, but it just won't come out. I think it may have came out and I didn't notice cause I can't see at all out of that eye and I can't really see it. However, when I touch my iris, I can still feel a ridge surrounding it. What's going on? Is my contact in my eye?
I used a solution and everything to try and get it out; nothing works. Because of this, I think it may have came out, but I'm not sure.

Polarized contact Lenses?
I am looking for Polarized contact lenses because my eyes are very sensitive to the sunlight and I'm tired of wearing sunglasses. The only thing I have found is the Nike Maxsite, unfortunately they discontinued them in 2007.Is there anything else that even comes close in comparison?

Doesn't the fact that we have eyes disprove the Darwinists?
You can't "evolve" a partial eye, because it doesn't see until all the complex parts go into it to make it work - the lens to focus, the pupil to adjust light, etc. These have been designed to perfection by the Lord who has created us. Checkmate!

Glasses to contact conversion help?
I have an eyeglass prescription but I need to know what Strenght a contact lens would be in this prescription. I openly know that I would need a fitting for the contact lens but right now I just requirement the Strenght of each contact lens. The place where I got my eyeglass prescription a month ago is immediately closed down so i cant get information there. Here is my prescription

Is it okay to put an hid kit on my aftermarket projectors?
I was wondering if it was okay to put hids on my aftermarket projector angle eyes headlights? Like will the hids burn my projector lens and projector housing? And will they burn the angle eyes?

Is it normal for contacts to lose focus sometimes?
They get blurry sometimes. I have Acuvue Oasis contacts, I got them a few months ago but have recently started wearing them more often (been busy with schoolwork and such, too tired to wake up early enough to put them in..). Every once in a while (actually, a more often than that) they get blurry and I have to physically push them back a little so they focus again.Is this normal? Or should I get new contacts?

Will my myopia will recover?
My eyes were working perfectly till 6 months ago. But after than i got problem in seeing distant object. Then when i went to ophthalmologist he suggested me glasses of negative power(right eye- 1.25 and left eye -1.5). And after some month again it turned to -1.75 right eye and -2 left eye. And then about 2 months after it again increased to -2.25 right eye and -2.5 in left eye. Now i am feeling that it has even increased more.So what should i do to reduce it? I really don't want to wear this glasses or contact lenses.No one in my family is suffering from myopia. I am first to have this defect.Is there any exercise or anything that really works. I will be really very happy if my eyes get corrected. I am ready to avoid any close work. Please help me.

Everytime it touches my eye brow or i blink my eyes, its bad enough i have those small asian eyes, i cant even strech them that much!

This is the first time I've ever attempted to write a book. The sort of questions I would like you to answer are.
Does it make you want to read on?
Is it interesting?
What would you change?
What could be better?
And any other comments - but please go easy on me as its my first time.
I chuckle and toss the twilight book I've been reading for the past hour in the air. I always manage to guess the endings. I reach for my phone to check the time, 6.30am and Friday.Im relieved.
I grab a bottle of A negative and gulp until its all gone. That should quench my hunger till lunchtime. I'm due at work at 7.30am so I quickly shower and put my green contact lenses in. I hate wearing them. Why can't my eyes be a normal colour? Brown, blue, green. Any will do. I decide to pack my pink chiffon dress for after work.It doesn't come out very often but i have a date tonight with a human. I stare at myself in the mirror whilst brushing the frizz out of my hair. I study myself In the mirror, green contact lenses, pale skin and long, frizzy, brown hair that has a mind of its own. I'm most far from attractive I frown at myself.
I arrive at work and start my shift. I enjoy my job because It makes me feel human. I'm a nurse at Linton Hospital. I save as many lifes as possible which makes me one of the good vampires. Of course humans are food but I don't believe in killing the innocent. I decided to be a nurse so I can get a constant supply of blood as I don't like to kill animals as alot of others do.No one at work suspects that I am a vampire but they are all overwhelmed by my nursing performance. Of course i am able to save patients by injecting my blood into there system. Sometimes its too much of a risk but i try my best.
After work i change into my dress and take the ten minute drive to the wine bar, watching as people stare at me in my silver porsche carrera GT whilst i step out. I know by now there mouths aren't open by the sight of a beautiful woman stepping out but by

Blue contacts on Blue/green/grey eyes?
Okay so I bought freshlook colors blue contacts. They are opaque. I have naturally blue/green/grey eyes, so my eyes are already really light, but they can be dull at times..,So i bought this color and my eyes look extremly light blue and really cool, the thing is that they look natural, it blends in! Do blue contacts work over naturally blue eyes?
Added (1). I have -6 vision, and i dont think they make those for prescription lensens:(

Can I wear daily contacts for two days? - 1
Hi.So I just got contacts and my optometrist gave me a few boxes for trial lenses. I really like them, but I used the last daily lens this morning.My new boxes are coming in on Saturday.Do you think I can wear the daily lenses I have in today (Thursday) and wear them tomorrow too? Will anything really terrible happen? I HATE how I look with my glasses and do not want to wear them any more. Thank you :-)

Are frequent replacement silicon hydrogel lenses just around the corner?
I got an email from Orion Vision Group saying they had opaque colored silicon hydrogel lenses available. They were priced so I would have to charge my patients from $80 to $100 each but they were available. Will Alcon be far behind with colored Air Optix? Will we come up with another reason why people shouldn't wear colored lenses when these are available? Is Visticon stopping production of Acuvue 2 Colors because Oasys Colors are coming soon?

I went to the doctor about dirt in my eye, and he told me to stop wearing my contacts for a bit. Now I have these eye drops:

I don;t want to waste them, and I am not sure if they are okay to wear with my soft contact lenses.It does not say on the box, and it was not my eye doctor who told me to use them.

Proper RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) Lens care?
My friend told me that the water rinsing method is not used anymore because of the microorganisms in the water.
I rinse them pretty often because I work outside and it can get pretty dirty and dusty. (I also have Dry Eye Syndrome due to prescription medications which im taking care of by taking Omega 3's)
Do I really only rinse them with Multi-purpose solution? I feel like I still see loosened deposits.
The enzyme cleanser I used to use suggested I rinse my lenses under water.
How does one use the same contacts for an entire year without rinsing them in nothing but solution?
I know that sounds dumb but I lost my insurance a year ago and my last doctor was just terrible, so I really don't know the current proper way to take care of my lenses.
Any information would help - thanks in advance!

I think I have an eye infection?
I started wearing contact lenses a couple of weeks ago. I have handle them with extreme care, cleaning and storing them properly. I was told that even if I do that there is a small small chance of an eye infection to occur. I only have vision in one eye so I only wear one contact. Yesterday someone pointed out to me that the eye I wear my contact in was very red while the other was not. I have no pain or other symptoms.Is this just from overuse? (I wear my contact 12 hours a day) or something more serious?

Acuvue Oasys Base Curve vs Acuvue 2 Base Curve?
The eye doc gave me the normal trial pair of contacts and those were Acuvue Oasys. Because the prices at the doctor's office are so expensive, I looked on-line and noticed the big difference between Oasys and Acuvue 2 prices, so I'm thinking of switching back to the Acuvue 2's. When I wore Acuvue 2's, my base curve was 8.3 however, the base curve of the Acuvue Oasys's are 8.4. One of the questions I have is, does that little bit actually matter or is the base curve a different size because it was a different type lens? If I go back to the 8.3, instead of the 8.4, would it make that big of a difference? Also, If you've worn both, which did you think was more comfortable?

Cats Eyes Contact Lenses?
I deperately want cats eye contact lenses, preferably in blue, but my prescription is really strong, as in -8.50 for the left eye and -7.00 for the right. I have found no source for this strength prescription. Can anyone suggest a supplier or a company that custom makes such contacts?

I have severe confidence issues?
I'm 16 nearly 17, and I've felt ugly and grotesque for my entire life. I'm not overweight, but the fact that I'm short makes me look… not skinny, I have chicken pox scars on my face, my hair is naturally greasy, and I wear glasses (and because I have an astigmatism I can't get contact lenses).So yeah, I look a mess. Also, my mom won't let me wear designer or nice branded clothes, so my outfits are all bargain basement stuff. I've always been very shy and self conscious at school, and as a result I don't have any real friends. Contact Lens for small eyelids. Which is best?
Hi, I have a power of around -6(Short sight, negative power) and would like to use contact lens. I have very small eyelids. Also, a couple of years ago, I have used contact lenses but had to stop using that because my eyes became irritable and red. Are there any types of sunglasses that have very dark lenses?
I have… it seems, very photosensitive eyes. Even on a very cloudy day my eyes hurt, or in lamp light as well. I have eyes that are light green as well as constantly dilated pupils (even in this sunny and bright state of Florida).So are there any sun glasses that have very dark lenses?

Would (big) clear-lens sunglasses make me look hipster/ugly?
I bought these sunglasses with clear lens (with my eye prescription) because it came with UVA-etc-protection and I thought it would be a great to be able to wear it daily without people thinking weirdly of me, if it had a tint. Problem is.the lens are bigger than normal, basically it's as big as common sunglasses women usually wear. I don't want people to think I'm trying to be hipster (which I'm not and I don't want to be).Do you think you or people would if I'm seen with such glasses?

How would circle lenses look with light colored eyes?
How would circle lenses look with light colored eyeses, but I'm not sure how violet ones will look in my teal green eyes as the pictures I always seen are with brown eyes. To continue the discussion on insurance and birth control, but to bring it away from the inflammatory topic of men's health and women's health, for a moment.
In most insurance plans, a vision plan is optional, so that people with good eyesight who don't have to go in for routine eye exams and get glasses and contacts covered don't have to pay for a part of their insurance that they never use.
Suppose the ~$40/mo.charge for covering eye exams and corrective lenses was no longer optional.Do you think this would be fair to people with 20/20 eyesight?
Added (1). BQ: How about family plans? What if, instead of having cheaper plans available to people who only want to cover themselves, and more expensive plans available to people who want their spouse and children to be covered, everyone just paid the same price (slightly lower than the family price, much higher than the individual price), and everyone got family coverage, whether you're actually covering a family or not? Would that be fair to single, childless people?

I got a pair about 30 days ago, but have only worn them twice, and when I haven't worn them, they've been in clean contact solution that I changed daily in a case.So could I still wear them or not? They're Acuvue hydraclear plus

Am I normal and what do I do about it?
I am a 12 year old girl with blonde hair. I had a cataract when I was a baby and now my lens in my right eye is gone. Before I was born, the doctors told my mom and dad that they think I would be born with Down syndrome and should get an abortion. I can see my ribs easily and get tired and hot and sweaty when I excersize too much. I have ADHD. I usually play with boys and despise a lot of girls.My sister beats me up and threatens to kill me and brings out a knife.My mom has no gallbladder and has Chrone's disease.My brother is autistic.Am I normal? How do I fix it all? Should I see someone? Do I have a syndrome or other disease?

No contact lens solution left!
I have no contact lens solution left, I don't know what to do! I have nothing to put the contact lenses in overnight and need them for school tomorrow morning, I'm not sleeping with them or throwing them out, just tell me what to store my contacts in, defo not water I know! No shops are open at this time and certainly nowhere I can get or borrow contact solution

Getting eye strain headaches?
As I need a new prescription for my glasses and just got it sent off today so I am still wearing my current glasses. How do I cope with this for 10 days until I get the new lenses? I keep getting eye strain headaches and its a nightmare.

Why do people stare, and how can I make myself feel beautiful.?
Okay, well I'll try to keep this short.
People treat me differently because of how I look… There's a picture for anyone about to ask.http://urluknown.tumblr.com/
I don't have many friends and everyone is so catty with me. I have magnified eyes and I'm worried that no one will take me seriously in the future. I've tried thinking of how I could look, deformed..but in the long run, it never makes me feel any better. I don't have any other things wrong with me, so people just act weird with me.
It's really starting to effect me. I can't make eye contact. I seek advise from a friend who is quite large but has confidence.
I used to contact lenses, and looked stunning, but I found that they were uncomfortable and had to wear glasses again. I even had a boyfriend.
So, how do I deal with this? Not looking for attension.just want advise.
Forgot to add that people stare.
That is the only picture I have of myself.
No boys like me, they just use me as an ego boost.
I want to be a vet and this is what is keeping me strong for the moment.
Please don't even mention contact lenses, I do not get on with them!

Is this an eye infection?
Yesterday my eye was hurting when i blinked.
Today its still the same but its less painful
and doesnt hurt all the time.
I wear contact lenses and even with my lenses in its slightly blury which isnt normal but i can see things.
I wear contact lenses about 8/9 hours a day 5days a week

Low tears problem in Damage Eyes?
Currently I am use a prosthetic soft lens for my damage eye. But after some time means when I am in office my damage eye was drying (low tears problem) & starts a hard pen for me.

Is it possible to give humans night vision with genetic modification?
Writing a science fiction book that takes place in the future. People can choose to have hearing upgrades so they have a better hearing range, and can also opt out of prescription glasses or contact lenses and by having their eyesight upgraded, too. Babies can also be modified in-utero so they won't be born with any genetic ailments, etc.
But what about night vision? Is it possible to give humans the ability to see in the dark, without compromising how well we see during the day, using genetic modification or biotechnology? How would this work?

Horrible glare on glasses?
They're clear but I'm seeing duplicates of everything and its driving me crazy. I dare not wear them driving at night.
I normally wear contacts so maybe I'm just not used to glasses. They don't have the anti glare coating.So is there anything I can do to stop it?

Am I overreacting over sleeping arrangements?
Me and my friend Vicky had a little spat over some camping arrangements last night and I've yet to hear from her. We've had this planned a month in advance, and it was decided it would be me, her, her boyfriend Con, and female friend Lynn. Well, I was told all four of us would be sleeping in sleeping bags and blankets in a large tent together. I was totes fine with that, however, Con decided to bring his air mattress at the last minute for him and Vicky.Me and Lynn were gonna sleep next to them in our sleeping bags, once again I was ok with all this. Near the middle of the night, things started getting bad. Vicky and Con got in their air mattress and me and Lynn got in our sleeping bags, we all chit chatted and such… but Lynn seemed to start acting uncomfortable sleeping next to me. I have no interest in her whatsoever except as only a friend, I've never ever given her a signal or anything. When her and Vicky where setting up the sleeping bags and air mattress, Lynn had me pushed way near the edge of the tent while she was close to Vicky and Con. Now me, Vicky, and Lynn had all hung out before on several occasions. We go to the same gym together, gone shopping together, eaten out together, ect., I've always been comfortable around them and believed they were around me as well. But last night I was feeling really rejected. I got closer to Lynn because I felt so far from the group, she wasn't very happy about it but said it was fine. Vicky invited her in the mattress with her and Con, and that's when I felt pretty rejected. I kept my composure and said nicely it would be nice to have someone on the ground near me and that it was not really fair all three of them were on the air mattress and I was stuck on the floor. Lynn reluctantly got back down and was acting all bratty, we decided to finally go to sleep, but I kept hearing her and Vicky whispering to each other. After about 30 minutes I walked outside the tent to use the bathroom, thinking they were all asleep. I quietly crept back in the tent to find Lynn, Vicky, and Con on the air mattress asleep, leaving me one sleeping bag, my blanket (which is small) and my pillow. I put my shoes back on and decided to leave, but I had already taken out my contacts, wasn't sure where we were camping, and it was so dark and foggy, I gave up and got back in the tent. Vicky asked if there was something wrong and I said "Yea! You guys are piled in the air mattress leaving me here alone on the uncomfortable ground! I can't sleep here!" She didn't say anything but Con retorted "If you're gonna be like that then just leave!" I laid back down and stayed wide awake almost two hours. Finally about 4 AM I fell asleep, woke up again from discomfort around 5, and again at 6:30. Finally at 8:30 I got up, put in my contact lenses, gathered my things and left. They were all asleep the whole time still on the air mattress. I haven't heard from them since… so, did I overreact? I mean, I felt so rejected and like they didn't care about me being alone on the ground that it hurts. I believe Vicky felt bad, but she didn't offer to come be down there with me or anything, she just stayed right between Con and Lynn.

Colored contact lenses - is it worth it?
I recently went to doc and told her that i want blue colored contacts. She checked my eyes and said that everything is ok, warned me about lense care and possibility of infections, and sold me lenses. She said if i f**k things up i can get an Acanthamoeba keratitis. I went to home and started my research about this desease and really got paranoid.
There was an accident in 2006 when people used faulty Renu With Moistureloc solution that wasn't effective at killing bacteria and got this desease, it was not even fault of the users themselves.
I've read their stories and it seems like that thing ruined their lives. I'm terrified.
I simply want to have blue eyes to look good and i've already spent money on it. The question now -"Is it worth the risks?" How common this desease? Any statistics?

Natural ways to get rid of bags under eyes?
Since I was about 6 years old I've been wearing glasses, and recently I've gotten contact lenses for the first time. Since I'm not hiding behind my glasses anymore I have realized recently that I have very large, dark bags under my eyes. I know I could cover them up with foundation, but I really hate makeup as it makes me feel clown-like. I've never worn makeup, and I don't think I ever will. That being said, does anybody know of some good natural or homemade remedies to get rid of, or at least lighten, dark circles under your eyes? Thanks in advance!

Favorite make up cleanser?
I'm always looking for new great beauty products, so I wanted to know: what is your favorite make-up remover? Do you have some other nice products to recommend me?
Here's my latest favorite discovery: the Bi-Phase Eye Make-Up Remover
by Carita.It is a frangrance-free cleanser and a perfect treatement for the most sensitive eyes like mine; it has been so hard to find a good cleanser that doesn't irratate my eyes since I started to wear lenses, and I'm so happy with it.
It also removes instantly every trace of make-up, even waterproof, and helps to reduce circles and to reinforce weakened lashes. I love it!
And you, have you tried it? What's your opinion?

Does walmart have contacts that you can wear for a long period of time?
I went to Walmart and really wanted to get the Gemstone Green contacts from Freshlook Colorblends. Those are the worst contacts EVER. They're flimsy, and will not come off my fingers.So, I decided to stick with clear. What to do if you accidentally use contact lens cleaner in the eye itself?
Early this morning my husband accidentally used Boston lens cleaner as a wetting solution. His eye was burning and red. He removed the lens.An hour later, when he told me about it, I went to the store and bought eye wash and flushed the eye twice.It's Sunday, but I want him in the ER if need be, because he only has vision in that one eye. People treat me differently because of how I look… There's a picture for anyone about to ask.http://urluknown.tumblr.com/
I don't have many friends and everyone is so catty with me. I have magnified eyes and I'm worried that no one will take me seriously in the future. I've tried thinking of how I could look, deformed..but in the long run, it never makes me feel any better. I don't have any other things wrong with me, so people just act weird with me.
It's really starting to effect me. I can't make eye contact. I seek advise from a friend who is quite large but has confidence.
I used to contact lenses, and looked stunning, but I found that they were uncomfortable and had to wear glasses again. I even had a boyfriend.
So, how do I deal with this? Not looking for attension.just want advise.
Forgot to add that people stare.
That is the only picture I have of myself.
No boys like me, they just use me as an ego boost.
I want to be a vet and this is what is keeping me strong for the moment.

Circle lenses for very blue eyes?
I have very blue eyes and tiny pupils, but I want to get some circle lenses, probably brown..What's the BEST kind to cover ALL of my blue. I'm not worried about the blue showing through the brown color, I'm more worried about having blue show between my pupil and where the brown starts… If that makes any sense.

Can 20/200 vision be corrected with Glasses?
When I was 3 I had a 105 degree temp, which harmed my Optic Nerve.My vision is 20-200 and I remember once an eye doctor told me I could wear a bifocal (spelling) lens. This was 15 years ago and I never checked into it. Any help would be great! Thanks.
Added (1). Just wanted to add this. I can see perfectly when I look through binoculars. Does this change anything?
Added (2). Sorry for not adding, I have 20-15 in my left eye. I am seeing my Doctor in a month. I am looking to switch Careers and I have to get this eye somewhat corrected, if I am considered. This is why I posted this question. Thanks for all you help.
