Problem with contact lens and eyes?

So I just used my lenses yesterday and my left eye felt like there's a little grain stuck in it. I tried turning the lens upside down but it still felt the same. Now, my left eyelid looks a little droopy. Although my vision did not change and I don't feel anything. Will my eye go back to normal? And what's wrong with the lens?

I'm just wondering because my mom always complains that I spend too much money on makeup.
Sometimes, I spend up to 20-40 a month, while other months, I don't even spend on makeup at all.
I order makeup online (prettyandcute.com), I buy drugstore brand makeup but always spend a lot more than I should because not a lot of things work for me lol, I also buy from some Korean brand stores (The Face Shop and stores from an Asian mall.) I also get carried away sometimes if I see something cute and I always read reviews before I buy(:

My name is Zaki Ibrahim, if that helps with any ideas. I've been trying my best to think of a good, simple, and catchy name for my photography business. Right now, I've been doing business as Zaki Ibrahim Photography. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Some of my expressions for my passion for photography might help:

Why does my vision (in one eye) decrease and improve over the course of the day?

Over the past two weeks, I have noticed that the vision in my right eye seems to go up and down over the course of the day.My Rx is -1.00 in my left eye and -.50 in my right eye. When I wake up, both eyes seem to have matching near-sightedness. For example, when I cover my right eye, my left eye cannot read the clock on my VCR from across the room. When I switch and cover the left, my right eye cannot either.An hour or so later, my right eye suddenly CAN read the clock. Very sharp and clear.It usually stays this way until 4 or 5 PM. Then, my right eye starts to fade back down to where it almost matches the left eye. Sometime around 7 or 8 PM, it usually bounces back up to normal, but around 9 PM it's back down again, where it remains until I go to bed. I am 26, male, have no history of eye disease, except for near-sightedness and very slight astigmatism (not deemed serious enough to require the astigmatism contact lenses). I have RA, so I am on methotrexate, but I have been on this for years and never had any problems. Had RK surgery in 2007, but my optometrist said that everything looks healthy when I saw him two months ago. I have no eye pain, redness, or tearing issues. Just slight headaches. Can anyone tell me what this is?

He lowered the gleaming silver revolver slowly as the man before him fell into the ivory white snow. Red, sticky droplets stuck to his hands and the silver metal. "Kai!" A girl cried and dropped to the ground next to the now dead blue-haired man. Her two twin teal pigtails curled around the two as she held the man close to her chest. Cold tears whipped away into the cool wind, ghostly wails flowing along freely. The boy holding the gun shifted his blue-eyed gaze to the girl. Her heaving sobs seemed so stupid to him. She shouldn't be crying over that pitiful excuse for a man.
"Why?" The girl asked through sobs. He didn't respond. He couldn't even feel the gun in his hand anymore.It was almost like the murder was committed long before.
But it was still his fault.
"He and I were the two choices. When you choose him, I got rid of the only other choice." He answered simply. The words would seem so poisonous out of another's mouth, but they came out so soft and caring.As if he hadn't spilt the blood on his hands.
"Why not Oni?" The girl had stopped sobbing and was looking at him with large, puffy, sea-foam green eyes. She didn't get what was wrong with him. He was never like this. She didn't want to hurt him when she chose Kai over him. But she still ended up as the real murderer.
"She's not you."
He was right. Oni wasn't her. Oni, blond-haired and blue-eyed, stubborn and somewhat crazy was no where near her. She, with aquamarine hair with matching eyes, was caring and beautiful in her own way. A way that drove him crazy.
"Why Kai?" She questioned, hugging said man closer to her. He had become her everything and she his. Why couldn't it be left as that? A happy couple while he simply went off and got someone new. But he refused. Refused with calm anger and a gun.
"You're mine and only mine. I'm not one to share.It seemed unfair to you. He was the other choice and you only need one." His facade remained emotionless as her anger rose. Unfair? So it's not unfair when her fiancé dies? It's fair if she has to suffer? What's wrong with him!
"Unfair? What the hell are you talking about?!" She clutched Kai tighter, her nails sinking into his skin. Len's facade remained blank, only a small glint of sympathy running across his eyes. Miki gritted teeth and felt the need to strike Len, but she didn't want to let go of Kai yet. Not until she was dead too.

Len couldn't help but to let out an airy chuckle.To him, it seemed humorous in a way. He had promised himself never to get into anything like Romeo and Juliet or any twisted love story. But he broke it; for her. And he couldn't help but just to laugh. Laugh at his no-longer foolish mistake. Laugh at his sobbing beloved before him. Laugh at Death itself.
"No. What I did was not foolish," He walked closer to her and leaned down. "It would have been foolish if I let you go. I won't make that mistake."
The words made her grip loosen on Kai's body. Something about his words seemed so comforting in a way. He may have been a killer, but he was comforting her. "You're a monster." She spat lowly at him. He frowned slightly before replacing it with a smile.
"Let me help you." He pulled Kai's body from her slackened grip and smiled innocently. "I'll help you forget everything." She stayed still, frozen with bittersweet thoughts. Thoughts of what it could be like if she forgot and forgave.

My Dad doesn't allow me to get contact lenses?

I'm going to be 17 and he still thinks I'm too young for them. I look terrible in my glasses because my bangs get trapped by the edge of my glasses and I also get hit in the face by balls during PE. Plus, he won't even let me get those hipster glasses because he said I looked stupid in them. I really want contact lenses though, what should I do?

Can I use contact rewetting drops as eye drops when not wearing contacts?

I do wear contact lenses, but sometimes even after I take them out, my eyes feel a little dry. I don't know if I can use my contact solution as an eye drop, because it says it's disinfecting but not saline. The brand of rewetting drops I have are TheraTears, and the solution I have is OptiFree Pure Moist.

I'm ordering a pair of Circle Lenses.
If you aren't aware of what they are, they are just basic contact lenses that enlarge your eyes and/or change the color of your iris.

I do wear glasses, but I don't want a prescription on these lenses.
I have to select both the (left eye) OS and (right eye) OD.
If I DON'T want a prescription on these lenses, do I select 0.00?
Would that make them just lenses without a prescription?

Thanks in advance, I've never worn contact lenses before.
And my prescription on my glasses is very mild and it's not necessary for daily life, only when driving!

I've never had eyglasses before.My university offers students free eye exams, so I thought I'd take advantage. I'm about 40 and starting to notice and can't read up close so much. The following prescription was determined by the OD:
Sphere Cyl Axis
OD +1.00 -0.50 153
OS +1.25 -0.75 20

I plugged the numbers into zennioptical.com and picked out frames I liked and ordered my first pair of glasses. I haven't been happy with them though. I first noticed objects in the distance are about the same sharpness compared to w/o glasses, sort of, but seem hazy. The doctor said all distances should be improved. Then I noticed when watching subtitles on my TV screen, I see there is a distinct ghost image of the text and I see it in both eyes.It is very distracting. I don't really require eyeglasses so it looks better without. I can now notice ghosting in all kinds of things now. Any lighting, but the more contrast between edges, the more noticeable.

I took my glasses to the clinic and they took them in the back and said they are within tolerances of the prescription. The OD did a full recheck of my eyes, and determined a practically identical prescription. What is the cause of the ghosting? She doesn't know why I would see ghosting and referred me to the optician. He said something about spherical lenses versus digital, but I don't really recall now. The glasses work pretty well for up close work where ghosting isn't much of an issue. I don't think the prescription is quite right, since I can see much sharper in my left eye the closer I look through the bottom of the lens. Not sure what I should do. The clinic said I could try glasses through them, which is an expensive experiment. Could their equipment not be calibrated right? Thanks in advance.
Added (1). The optician measured my PD as 66.5 with something that looked like a serious Viewmaster. Maybe was Luke Skywalker's binoculars. Kidding aside, They also had me look at their nose while they marked my pupil location on the lens, and they also marked the optical center.It lined up vertically with the optical center of the lenses.My pupils are about 5 mm above the marks. If I raise the glasses about that much, there's no change. Optician said that was typical for the style of frames I had and not a concern.

I'm not seeing a halo.It is a distinct faint image. Best example is credits in a movie. I see white text on black. If I back up far enough, I can read the faint (gray) text. ghosts are side to side (and a little lower). If i tilt my head the ghost text will rotate above (or below) the original text, but it is still side to side relative to my face. Glasses are level on my face.

I see the same thing with LED in the dark (easy to see contrast), or in the li

Added (3). … ght if the LEDs are bright enough. Yesterday in the waiting room before having my eyes rechecked, I noted how the leg of a chair, contrasted against the carpeting, and I could see another distinct ghost image of it.

I emailed Zenni support and they requested I scan and reply with my Rx and PD which I just did. They will check that I entered it correctly, which I was quite careful of doing, but you never know.

I can try +1 reading glasses and see if I see the ghosting.

Why do many older people become farsighted?

A - Their lenses shrink.
b - Lenses in their eyes become more brittle.
c - They lose photoreceptors.
d - Their pupils respond more slowly to light.

I believe that the answer is going to be C - they lose photoreceptors. I just want to be positive. Please leave respectable and respectful answers that state the option you chose, and why you think that is the correct one.

Can powerful glasses lenses cause dizziness?

I had a eye test 5 months ago, and been wearing the glasses since that time. And lately I been feeling dizzy and out of focus, can the glasses be a cause? The power of the lenses were upgraded to a higher lenses, however it felt no different to the lower lenses I was wearing previously. Basically I could have worn the lower lenses and still see very clearly.

I usually clean it with special liquid and specially made paper towel for lens (KimWipes). But as a final touch, I remove the remaining traces of lint using compressed air. KimWipes is supposed to be lint free but this is not 100% true.

I'm going on a date next week. I'm don't know whether to get coloured contact lenses. But, problem is I tried green before and looked like an alien. Then tried brown and there was no difference. Is my contact lens prescription right?

My glasses prescription for my right eye is -5.00 power with -.25 cylinder.My left eye is -4.00 power with -2.00 cylinder. For my contacts I have monthly softlens with -4.75 power for both of my eyes.Is this correct? Can it be that for my right eye it is lesser while for my left eye it is stronger (maybe because of the astigmatism). I could see pretty well with them though. Thanks.

I am 25.i have recently went to the eye doctor and he gave me a very high prescription for glasses.he said it was too high for lasik and maybe in the future i'll get to wear contacts but not now. Doing a little research i found out about Lens implants surgery and that this could fix my problem.Im am really worried about my eyes and i need to find out whats best for them.
the prescription given to me was this:

+5.50 -2.25 025
he said it was a bit higher than that like a 6 in one eye and a 8 in the other but that was too strong so he was giving that prescription for now until my eyes get use to a high prescription.i didn't understand much though but that's what happened and he also got me an appointment with another doctor he said i had to go see this specialist so he can check my eyes better.(2 weeks from now)

Hello! I have a pair of Geo Nudy Greens. I follow the directions on the box of my Boston Solution kit (the one that includes the cleanser) and i even rinse my lenses after cleaning, as instructed, with distilled water instead of tap water.
The problem is, though, that no matter what I do, my eyes sting like crazy when I put them in.Is there anything I can do to make it stop?

I've been wearing glasses for about 6 years now. I have a decent pair of Blue Pepe Jeans', but would really love a pair of Ray-Bans. Preferably the solid black wayfarers. Where could I purchase these WITH lenses - like when you go to an optitians they test your eyes, you pick the frame, collect them a week later. Is 11 too young to wear contact lenses?

I'm 11 right now and almost 12. I've been wearing glasses since i was 9 and i absolutely HATE them. I feel really weird and insecure about how they look. They are such a hassle and i need to clean them like every minute. I asked my mom many times but the answer is always the same, NO! She thinks that i am too young and that i won't be able to take care of them and infect my eyes. Two of my best friends got contacts at a young age too. One at 9 and the other at 11. Every time i bring it up she gets mad

This morning everything was okay i got ready for school and everything it's just that when i got to school my eye started getting smaller, and watery and red. Ok the last time I got new lenses was 4 years ago. Should my eyesight have changed since then? I feel like it significantly changed because when I was younger my glasses helped a lot at great distances. Now at great distances I see blurry even WITH my glasses. 13 year old with a problem! HELP!

Ok so I'm 13 and never usually get headaches. Recently I've been getting severe and long-lasting headaches, however I'm not sure if this is as bad as a migraine (I'm not sure what a migraine is, aha!)

How to stop blinking so much?

When I was at primary school people used to tease me and call me 'blinky', but I got used to it. I'm 15 now and just started another new school but people have started teasing me again. I wear contact lenses, which i know can irritate your eyes, but I've been blinking a lot for years, even before i wore them.My eyes almost always feel tired and when i try to blink less it just makes my eyes sore. I try not to let it get to me but it annoys me because it's obviously noticeable. Any ways to help this, and also are there any conditions that could relate to it?
Added (1). Yeah I do blink less when i concentrate, if it's a habit though how can i break it?

I don't have perfect vision, and I wear spectacles. Though I know I have high astigmatism, I don't understand the condition after Wikipedia-ing it. I also want to determine if am near or far sighted. I am 20 years old.Is there any way to lower astigmatism - because my spectacles cost more because of it. I have 200-220 astigmatism on left eye and 120-140 on the other. Bothe eyes have degree below 200. And to add, should I wear contact lenses - heard that it may cause cartaracts.

I have astigmatism and I'm usually using eyeglasses. I have tried using toric contact lenses and unfortunately there are no available colored toric lenses in my place; thus it will be very costly to order online plus the shipping fee. I really really want to try one and am thinking of using the ordinary colored graded contact lens.My question is that is it safe for me to use them? I understand that I can see better with the toric, but will the ordinary cause me headaches, discomfort, or make the lens grade higher later on? Thanks!

Hello. I'm a sophomore GUY (so no makeups) and I'm happy with what I got but a few things.

Let me start off by saying since I'm asian obviously my eyes are small.

But what really annoys me is that the eyes are just too far apart.

I used to wear glasses since I was 8 years old all the way to when I was 15 years old.

When I was in glasses, the position of eyes looked pretty okay.

Last year I switched to contact lenses and then I realized my eyes are really, really far apart.

This is especially bad since the top of my nose (the "noseline" between eyes) is really flat and not prominent while the bottom of my nose is fat as a clown nose.

TL;DR here are the problems:
1.eyes are too far apart
2.top of my nose is too flat/not prominent
3.botton of nose is really flat and you can see my nostrils when you are staring directly at my face at a standing position.

Since I'm still growing (16 years old) I thought I might have a chance with constantly giving my face a little pressure by pulling my nose tip a little and other stuffs.

I didn't see much improvement but I personally saw some people around me actually being able to change their facial structure more than 'a bit'. (For example this one guy had similar problems as me and he managed to get top of his nose more prominent and the bottom slimmer) all without the use of plastic surgery.

What can I do?

I'm not desperate, but I believe I can change some of this and it won't be as bad as it is now.

However I am now wondering what would happen if accidentally I put them in the wrong side they belong in, in their cases and end up putting them in the wrong eyes. I think I am bound to do that one day because I might say I am a bit of a clumsy forgetful person…

Contact lens irritating right eye! Help?

I got my contacts Saturday and this morning I had trouble putting in my right contact, It's been irritating my eye all day. What should I do? Is it inside out? If someone wears the inverse of my prescription, will they see what I see?

Well, the title is not so explanatory, but what I mean is: I'm nearsighted and wear glasses with -2.0 in each eye, no astigmatism. A friend of mine is farsighted and wears glasses with +2.0 power.

What I was thinking is: knowing how lenses work, would this person see what I do if he wore his glasses (+2.0), as he states that everything far away is blurred with his (near-vision) glasses?

And, by seeing what I do, I mean to see with around the same amount of "blurriness" as I see without correction.

Now, just for curiosity (since now on this is no loger the case), someone who was 0.00 through the entire life and got presbyopia of +2.0 would still need +4.0 to see the same as I see? I mean, this one's focal point might be the same of always, the age problem just changed the accomodation, right?

Also, following this logic, in order to see what somenone with -3.0 sees, would I need +1.0?

Dry eyes from contact lenses?

I've never done this before but this seems to be my last resort. I started wearing daily lenses last year but moved onto the 2 week lenses by Acuvue Oasys (apparently the best on the market) and they started out great, went to the US for 2 months, no problems whatsoever. Came back to the UK last Nov and I noticed that my eyes feel dry whenever I wear my lenses.An hour after putting them in I feel like tearing my eyes out! I've seen my eye doctor and he ran a couple of tests and said that my tear film is evaporating faster than it should be but other than that he couldn't find any other problems and there wasn't much he could do except recommend a few products to try. Now believe me when I say I feel like I have tried everything. I use an eye bag daily, I do eye messages often, tried eye drops including Systane, Systane Ultra and I have even tried an eye gel. I take Multivitamins, Iron and Omega 3. I have started using Blephasol lotion as recommended by my eye doctor. I drink plenty of water and my diet is good. I have tried napping whenever I have a chance just to get extra sleep and have even tried blinking more! Am I just destined to not wear lenses..? I have no idea what else to do! I will add that last year I found out I was anemic but not severely and I have been taking vitamins for a very long time. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
Added (1). I am still wearing Oasys because my optician said they were the best. I have tried Cooper Vision Biofinity but they weren't any good.

I have been wearing this pair (monthly disposable) of contact lens since the starting of the month, and I never had any blur visions until a couple of days ago. Only certain things appear blur, and if I keep blinking, it sometimes goes away, but it will turn blur again later.Is it due to the increase of my astig? Is this how having astig feels like? especially on projector screens, the words are blur! Even car number plates appear quite blur at a distance. But when my vision with glasses on is exactly the same as before, no blur. I think my glasses has been prescribed with astig?

Very dark tinted prescription sunglasses?

I am looking to order very dark tinted prescription sunglasses online. I want them to be so dark, people would not be able to see my eyes through them. I have ordered prescription sunglasses online before and they were not near dark enough. I am unsure of the tint percentage of the ones I previously ordered, but definitely want new ones with total coverage so my eyes are not visible through the lenses. Can I get my whole front windshield tinted?

Just curios. I live in Illinois (near St. Louis) and I have a long commute to work. All my windows are tinted the legal limits of 35% (not too dark) because I like some sort of privacy and the sun doesn't feel like it burns my skin and it seems to keep the car cool in the summer. Anyways that is getting a little off subject. I want to know if I can tint my whole windshield instead of just a 6" sun strip. If I can, I want to get 35% or 50% on the WHOLE windshield. Why? Because on this extremely long commute to work, the road I drive on is always shiny for some reason all days of the year (except on cloudy days). Like what I mean by shiny, is the way I'm heading on that road the sun reflects off of it ALL YEAR (except for cloudy days). I really don't like it as it is hard to see when I take my eyes off the road for a little bit.It is also kind of giving my eyes pain, but not much. Someone said I could get a doctors note, but I don't know how or how I would approach that. Quite honestly, I don't really want to take the time to do this.

To sum it up:
Long commute to work. Shiny road gives eyes light pain. Hard to see for a bit when I take my eyes off the road.

Is it legal to tint the whole windshield? If so, is it safe to do a light tint like I want just to cut down on glare? If I need a not from a doctor, how do I obtain this?

Oh by the way, if it is not legal and I can't get a note saying it is legal for me, and say I go ahead and tint it a light tint anyways. If I get pulled over for it, would a cop understand that I'm driving on a road that is practically blinding for an hour and 30 minutes everyday?

Oh and sunglasses crossed my mind, but I can't. I have to wear glasses everyday of my life because I can't see without them (although, my glasses are those transition lenses, they just don't transition inside the car, go figure.)

Hello, I work in hospital and I was getting ready the shot for TB skin test.
While I was delivering syringe with TB skin test for patient (.1mL), I noticed the bubble and I tried to take off by pushing the syringe- but the needle fall out and some vaccine was splashed onto my face. I think it also get into my eye.maybe… I was wearing contact lens but I did not take it off because I could not work after. I throw it away after 5 hours when I was done with my shift.

I just cleaned my computer screen ONLY using the safest things to use.
(Distilled water and a glasses-lens-cleaning-dry-pad )
And I thought my screen was spotless but theres this TINY TINY TINY TINY TINY dot on my screen but me, being OCD its the ONLY thing I see on this huge computer screen and I'm having a panic attack.
I scratched at it gently with the glasses-thing but its still there, then i put water at it and rubbed in a circle and its still there
I just need to know if I took a single peice off because if I did I'll most likely die.

My eyesight worsened?

I got my eyes checked today and my right increased to 470 degrees. I'm really worried because I'm only 17.okay so i have a fewquestions.

Biofinity contact lenses - extended wear?

Wondered if anyone can help. I've been wearing contact lenses for 18 months and use Biofinity by Coopervision. I was prescribed them by my Optician as extended use lenses. He said I could wear them continuously for a month but advised taking them out once in that period to clean them as this would make them cleaner/safer/more hygienic than daily lenses. I wanted extended use as I am not the best at putting in/removing lenses and it's more convenient for my work pattern. I used the direct debit scheme for the first 6 months, had the lens check up and everything was fine. I then ordered a years supply from the internet and am just coming to the end. I've never had a problem, I tend to wear them for 25-30 days and then wear glasses for a week before next wearing lenses. I just had my second contact lens check up with no issues.

I have been looking again on-line to order another 3 months supply but now I am worried and confused as there seems to be some discrepancy. Several sites list these lenses as 'monthly disposable' ie.you should take them out each night. Other sites say they can be used 'for 24hr wear' and others as continuous wear for 'up to 7 days in a row', another site lists them in the monthly disposable category but says in the details 'Approved for 29 nights, 30 days of extended and continues wear' and I've found one site that says they can be used as 'an extended wear option'.

How can the same lenses be sold in different ways? I'm really worried I have been wearing my lenses wrong for the past 18 months? I can't speak to the original optician as I am no longer in that area. Does anyone else use these lenses for continuous wear?

Contacts becoming blurry and cloudy?

This past week, I have been having problems with my contacts. A few days ago, my right contact was blurry for a few hours, and I wasn't home to clean it but I assumed that something had just gotten on my eye, however it cleared up after a few hours. This occurred again the next day, so I decided to open another pair of contacts because I had tried cleaning the old contacts but they would still get cloudy occasionally no matter what I did. I assumed that a new pair of contacts would be fresh and fix the problem.

However, the cloudy problem continued with the new contacts, and this time in both eyes.It got to the point where I was taking my contacts out every few minutes to clean them and they would immediately get blurry again. When I would take them out of my eye and look at them, it would look as if they were fogged up, and there would be clear, straight streaks on the contact lens. Whenever they got blurry in my eye, it would never hurt, I would just not be able to see anything clearly. Also, it's not my contact solution brand, because I normally use Target brand but I switched to Revitalens thinking it would solve the problem but it didn't.

I have never had any problems before with my contacts. I wear Acuvus Oasys Toric and they're monthlys. Also, my eyes are not red and they don't hurt, with or without contacts in. And it's not makeup getting on them because I also tried putting them in without makeup on and still had the same problem. I really hate wearing my glasses but I've been wearing them for the past day and a half because i cannot see anything with my contacts in. Can someone please tell me what possibly might be happening, or if it has ever happened to them???

Axis on Contact Lenses?

On one of my eyes, the axis is 170 and the other is 120. The rest of my prescription on both eyes are the exact same. Those are dramatically different and the vision in one of my eyes is not right. Could this be the reason why? Also if it helps, I have astigmatism.

Picking something up from post office- no slip or ID?

So I ordered contact lenses 2 weeks ago. They hadn't arrived so I called specsavers yesterday, who told me they were at my post office. I didn't get a slip on my door or anything.As if that's not annoying enough, now I can't find my passport ANYWHERE, im pretty sure i lost it and have no other ID.Is there any way I can pick the damn thing up before I go insane!

Wearing contacts in humid places?

The last time I wore my contacts in a very humid place, (baton rouge Louisiana during the summer) I went to take the out and they somewhat dry and harder to take out.My eyes then looked very veiny and a little irritated so I decided to sick with glasses.
I've also had this problem after crying and wearing contacts. Or after wearing contacts in a streaming shower (which now I never wear them in the short anymore).

By the way, Biotrue and ReNu, are they the same? Since they are produced by Bausch & Lomb company. The thing I ask this is because I'm now using Biotrue and it's really comfortable for me. I wanted to switch to ReNu Fresh, but I've heard that ReNu stings your eyes more often than any other brand. I've tried OptiFree Replenish and Puremoist, they were perfectly fine! Right now is Biotrue. When I'm done with Biotrue bottle. Should I buy ReNu? What about Aquify with a special lens case made of silver? And Complete, too! I want to experience which solution is good or bad. Plus OptiFree, Biotrue, and Clear Care are a bit expensive than the others. ReNu and Aquify have 12oz and they are cheap! I wear a lot of contact lenses "circle lenses with different colors" so I need a big bottle. Circle lenses are soft contact lenses, they make your eyes appear bigger. But they are safe to use, approved by FDA. Thank You.

Would aspherical lenses be worth while in my eyeglasses?

I have nearsightedness and astigmatism, not super large prescription… don't have the numbers handy but is basically around -1.25.As a photographer I know that aspherical elements in a lens usually mean better optical quality so I was looking at aspoherical lenses for my eyeglasses.My concern is that when I went from 1.5 index lenses up to 1.57 I was sensitive to the change in curvature. When I'd turn my head, when my eyes went off centre, there was enough of a distortion to make it so I had a hard time adjusting to it. Aspherical lenses, by their design, are supposed to focus light differently and avoid that problem a bit.my lab only has aspherical in 1.67 index so would there still be that distortion I had because of the severe change in indexes? also with such a low prescription would aspherical be just a waste of money. I did notice a difference in acuity going from glass to plastic lenses so would I notice an improvement going from spherical plastic up to aspheric? thanks.

Rinsing contacts in water then soaking it in solution?

I bought my first contact lenses.i rinsed it with water n then i left it in the case over night. Then the next morning when i found out that you're suppose to soak it in solution, i did that asap.right now i dont know if it's safe for me to put it back on. Can u let me know if i should do it or not ?

I´m a girl and I have blonde hair, pale-normal skin and grey-light blue eyes. I don´t know if I should choose blue lenses to enhance my eye color or to try green lenses to look more exotic. I´d like to have natural looking eyes. If I choose a blue shade it should be dark blue, if I choose a green shade it should look very natural but make my eyes bright.

So i have pretty light / medium brown eyes and sometimes they're hazel. And i want to know what lens are good for my eyes.

i have the EOS Ice Grey, and they dont look that good on my eyes because they're grey on the outside and suddenly light brown -.- i wish my eyes were dark.

How to go about getting an eye exam if your inssurance wont cover it?

This is like the 4th contact lens related question I've asked this weekend T-T Anyways, from my various questions, I've figured that its probably safer to get a prescription for my eyes than to just get colored contacts from party stores or the convenience store.

The only problem is my mom says our insurance won't cover it. Our insurance will only cover each of us getting an eye exam every two years and a free pair of glasses every two years and that is it.

My Mom wanted contacts so she paid out of pocket to get the exam done for the contacts and then of course she will be buying them out of pocket as well. How do I go about doing it? I've never set anything like this up before. And about how much would it average. Not the contacts, but the appointment.My Mom got really mad at me when I asked about it.

I'm not going to ask her to pay for it, but I think maybe that's why she got mad.

Itchy eyes with and without contacts?

I can have itchy eyes with both contacts and without contacts. I have no allergies like pollen but I've got sufficient liquid in my eyes but they are dry as well. I bought a Systane Gel Drops 2 days ago and am using it.It's for too dry eyes and it helps with my dry eyes, especially the burning when wearing contacts. But the itching caaan bee annoying. How do I get rid of the itching! Help please. I use Biofinity Toric. Although I can get a slightly more itching sensation when wearing contacts.

In August, I went for an eye test, I've had glasses for about 8 years now, and I hadn't been wearing them for about a month or so.My eye sight improved however, which i didn't fully understand as my parents were telling me i was gonna have to have thicker lenses. The optometrist told me my one eye was 20/25 and the other one was almost 20/20. However I couldn't wear them as only reading glasses yet.
When I went into the glasses place to get my eye check up, my mum told me to put on my glasses and i did, I almost fell over getting out of the car and stumbled up to the front door. I would mostly like to know why they got better if i hadn't worn them…

So I got my vision checked last weekend and had the general check up and was told I had 20/30 and 20/50 vision and astigmatism in one eye. I'm going back for a contacts exam. How much is a years worth of contacts for both eyes (one toric and one regular) assuming I get a monthly lens? What about daily's?

Dryyy eyeees Heeelp pleasee!

I'm only 19 years old and have sufficient tear production, but the eye doctor in December last month also said that my tears leave as well, and therefore I don't have enough tears to comfort my eyes or something and they dry out.

I used contact lenses before, Biofinity Toric first, I screwed up with them and my upper eye lid got irritated. I changed optician because my first one couldn't help me with my problem with contact lenses and the new one gave me new contact lenses.My eyes were already irritated, right eye MOSTLY and he gave me Air Optix for Astigmatism. These lenses could burn my right eye that was the most irritated eye, my contact lense could chafe my right eye, I mean I could feel the lense in my eye. I was really trying to find a way to wear contact lenses normally as I used, I was trying for 6 months. But after I got the Air Optix and they *** up my eyes, my eyes felt dry ever since then. I switched to Biofinity Toric again and using eye drops because they were the most comfortable lenses. I *** up my eyes because of contact lenses, and I needed them on to get better vision just because I HATE glasses that gives me 20 times bigger eyes and every person notice that. I even got a small redness on my upper eye lid because it got irritated by the Air Optix lenses. That's how strong my self-complex with my appearance and looks is. I feel really sick right now thinking about what a huge mistake I did, when I could rest my eyes for 2 months and continue to wear lenses perfectly, because I do now still, but with dry eyes. And I'm only 19 years old, and my eyes can itch, feel dry and have a little burn. I'm way too young for dry eyes but is it possible that I could have got them through the Air Optix lenses that irritated my eyes when I already have irritated eyes? Please answer! My vision is one of the most important things in life to be able and live life. Also my problem with my right eye was that every time I slept with my lenses on, my right lense would go up to my upper eye lid every time I blink and it was annoying as hell.

I have brown eyes, but I'd like to change my eye colour to blue. I've read that contact lenses are classed as medical devices and using them without a prescription can be dangerous. I don't want to take any risks buying things off the internet, but I'm also wondering if I can actually get a prescription for purely cosmetic purposes.My eye sight is fine, I have no history of sight related problems and I'm not sure how they'll react to this request. Can I wear regular contacts for cosplay when I have an astigmatism?

I've already asked another question about contacts today. And I've learned that regular contacts wouldn't necessarily hurt my eye but I would have blurry vision in that eye. I'm completely fine with that, since I would just be wearing the contacts for photos and for a few hours at cons. I would go with properly prescribed contacts, but I can't find the lens colors and patterns I need. But every other thing I look at says no I shouldn't do it, but their only reasons for it is that it will make my vision blurry in that eye. Since it's only the one eye, I think I can still get around ok.

Is that the only reason I shouldn't get regular colored lenses for my cosplay?
