Is the salesman trying to up-sell me?

I need new glasses to supplement my contacts and I want to get a rimless pair but the salesman wants me to pay more for the expensive lenses because he says I have a "high" prescription and the lenses will be "very thick" if I don't. I don't think my eyesight is so bad. Is he right?

Rx:

-2.75 -0.50 175
-3.50

Can allergies cause this bump in my eye?

So lately my eyes have been super itchy and watery, which makes sense because it is allergy season. I wear contact lenses, and lately they keep feeling like they're about to fall out. At first I thought my eyes were just dry, but when I looked closely in a magnified mirror at my actual eyeball, it looks like there's a clear bump towards the inner corner of my eyes, yet still close to where the colored part of my eye is. I'm wondering if maybe since the bump is there, the surface of my eye isn't even anymore so that's why the contact feels like it's falling. Could this be due to allergies or is it something more serious?

Why am I so forgetful? Why can't I stay focused and have terrible concentration skills? I'm only 21?

I'm 23 years old and I just graduated University a week ago with a first.

I have been unemployed for 7 months and finally I found a job part-time in a shoe and bag shop (I'm continuing to look for a job in the field I studied in but its difficult).

For some reason I can't seem to do my job properly even though its simple and many people who have been hired along with me are doing well and can do the job efficiently.

For example, I forget the sizes customers ask me to go and get for them, especially if they ask me for 2 - 3 different sizes. I also sometimes don't seem to see some of the shoe colour and sizes on the boxes even though its front of me when I go to grab shoes for customers and my manager told me off about it the other day and made me feel stupid. She asked me how could I not see the shoe boxes with the sizes and colours if its right in front of my face and to be honest she is right. I don't have eye sight problems, I wear contact lenses.

My manager also told me that I don't seem to be focused, I don't concentrate and don't seem bothered about the job. She is right, I hate working in retail and I have retail experience before but I only took on the job because I could not find any other jobs in any other sectors.

I'm always tired, I try to get to bed at 10pm but I end up sleeping around 1am and I get up around 8-9am in the morning.

I don't eat healthy and stuff myself with junk food or do any exercise. I haven't visited the doctors in 8 years.
Added (1). Even when I'm not at work I do tend to forget to do things usually and I can't seem to concentrate very well. My memory is not so good… But why do you think it is? And what can I do to improve my memory.
Added (2). Sorry I'm 23 not 21
Added (3). @Jangle no thank you

Lost Contact Lens While Sleeping?

I was sleeping over at a friends house and accidentally fell asleep with them on. I just woke up and now my left contact is missing. If I take off the right one I literally won't be able to see anything. Is it dangerous to walk around with only one contact in? What should I do?

Convergence insufficiency

Is there anyone here who has had convergence insufficiency?

I'm experiencing it right now. I can't read or do any computer work for more than 15 minutes without getting a severe headache and its really annoying. I heard it takes 3 months to cure if you do eye exercises, however I can't go 3 months without doing any computer work or reading.

So I was wondering while I do the exercises, is there any temporary solution I can use that will allow me to read and do computer work? I know lenses is the obvious thing, but I went to the optometrist and she said that my vision was perfect. So I don't really know what to do at this point. I know optometrists sometimes can't diagnose CI. Where I live, its really hard to get hold of a vision therapist so I'm pretty much relying on advice from the internet.

Please do shed some advice. I will give 5 stars to the best answer.

Can i avoid wearing astigmatism/cylindrical glass prescription and just stick with spherical prescription?

hi, i'm a long term user, lets say 10 years glass/contact user. My myopia started with left eye .25 and right eye 1.00 spherical and got to 3 and 4 after several years. My cylindrical started with 0.25 right and has come to 1.00 and left eye 0.50, but i think my cyl is actually just 0.75 and 0.50 maybe he put a round value. My glasses are bit outdated and mostly just use contact lens. It doesn't have cyl in contact lens and its fine. I plan buying glasses, just thinking can i just buy with spherical and not add cyl in them. I need to know will it harm my eyes/vision if i just use sph glass and not add cyl in them. Lasik surgery is something i'm preferring, so i will be consulting doc for that. Thats why i don't want to push my glass prescription higher. Let me know if you want more details.

Got PRK treatment 2 days ago. Poked my eye with an eye dropper and my vision has turned blurry. What should i do?

The eye I didn't poke sees perfect but the eye I poked is having trouble. I noticed that if I put eye drops in the eye seeing blurry makes that eye see perfect again but goes blurry again when I blink the liguid away. No pain just an ache. I poked directly in the middle of the bandage contact lens I have.

What to know when Cosplaying for the first time? Where do I buy stuff? What do I need?

I'm going to be cosplaying for halloween and more with my friend, but we have never cosplayed before. We're not going to a convention, we're just going to try to look our best and have fun. I'm going to be 2-D, and my friend Murdoc (From The Gorillaz) Was wondering what place is best to get a good wig that isn't too expensive? Also what's a good place to get contact lenses, and face makeup? Thanks!

What is the toric design for Biofinity Toric contact lenses?

It says that the type is "toric design" which I'm not sure what that means. Does it still have a toric back surface? What is all incorporated in this "toric design"?

Are the prescription of toric soft contacts on the front (part that touches the eyelid) or back of the lens (part that touches the cornea)?

If the prescription is on the back, does the negative curvature to the corneal curvature cause the lens to rotate into place? I realize their is weighting on the bottom of the toric lens, but is this just to get it in to the approximate position? And then the curvature that matches the cornea causes it to rotate exactly?
