Can one ever gain their complete good vision back again?

I think I wasn't supposed to need glasses, but I spent too much time on the computer looking at different screens for a looooooong time everyday and watched movies on my tablet all day long everyday for a long time… Then all of a sudden, I noticed I couln't see quite well. I'm near-sited with 0.25 and 0.5 though, not too bad, but I'm thinking maybe if I hadn't done those and had taken a better care, I wouldn't have needed glasses? What do you think? My mom needed glasses in her 40s… So did my dad. But I needed them in my 20s. I feel so bad if it's because I was cruel to my body:( I sometimes think my complete good vision should come back maybe? Is it at all possible? :( I was probably a very careless person…

Do eye exercises ACTUALLY help?

Please don't copy some answer on the web. It would be appreciated if someone with their own experiences would answer and let me know if eye exercises as found online do in fact work. I have good eyesight, but it is somewhat heritage that my family end up with glasses and I would like to prevent that.

Is it possible to go to an optician and get a few days supply?

just had eyes check, and contacts, are fine but my new glasses give me a headache. Is it possible my pupal distance changed after I had jaw surgery?

Hello! I have dark green eyes wirh central brown heterochromia. Which lenses should i use in order to make my eyes look lighter? I know I dont need ones that cover the whole color of the iris? Could yoi recommend me a type and brand? Thank you

Paranormal, supernatural?

Are they just misinterpretations of natural phenomenon or do they have a solid chapter of existence in this world? (e.g. A ghost is really a ghost, supernatural beings, demonic possessions, seers…)
I've never experienced anything like it, so it's hard for me to believe in such things. Though I have heard stories from family members, and they sound like something that would make me a believer if I had experienced them myself.
Any experiences that made you a believer?
Added (1). In one of the stories I've heard, two family members experienced the same thing at the same moment. Though one of them didn't recollect it until he was an adult. He was still in diapers when he went through the experience. He experienced it as a baby, and suddenly recalled that it happened one day as an adult. When he told my mother about it, she was surprised that he remembered it, because she hadn't told him about it happening. I'll leave it at that. Any other thoughts?

Contact Lens sizing?

I currently wear size 8.7 - 14.2 dailies.

The guy at the eye center in Walmart put me to there machine to check if I am using the correct size because I asked if I can change to a different lens and didn't know if I can go bigger or smaller.

He said 8.8 should fit me fine. Said I could go up to 9.0.

Is this correct? I would like to try out the acuvue moist and they only come in 8.5 or 9. He said don't go for the 8.5 but 8.8-9.0 should work.

If my eyes have gotten worse, can I simply buy a stronger contact lens prescription?

I got contacts back in 2011. I recently went to the eye doctor for some new glasses, and it turns out that my strength went from 3.50 to 4.25. The 3.50 was the strength for my contacts, and the 4.25 is for my new glasses. I was wondering if I could simply buy more contacts that are stronger. Or would I have to go in for a new eye (contacts) exam?

Would contact lenses be dangerous for me?

I'm legally blind in one eye and recently looked into getting colored contacts for a cosplay. Would it be dangerous to get contacts when I only have sight in one eye? My mom is worried that the contacts will make me go blind in my good eye.

How can contact lens deposits result in reduced oxygen permeability?

With standard hydrogel lenses, oxygen transmission is achieved by the water content of the lens. Water absorbs atmospheric oxygen and cornea absorbs oxygen from this water (diffusion).
Unlike RGPs, soft lenses don't depend on microscopic "pores" to directly let atmospheric oxygen come in contact with cornea. Logic suggests, as long as these hydrogels are kept properly hydrated, oxygen permeability should not be reduced.

GPC, allergies, and risk of infections increase with prolonged use, fairly logical.
But how on earth can oxygen permeability reduce with build-up of proteins?

Could someone please explain?

Should I switch to contact lenses? - 1

I've had glasses for 2ish years maybe and I've always hated them. I hate how they make me look, idk I've tried a bunch of styles i just don't like it. It also bugs me and it can be heavy on my face, it can be itchy, and it can fog up, also if i wanna touch my eye its harder. Also, i only wear glasses in class so i can see the board, making it hard for me to play sports or something.

1. Should i switch to contacts?

What happened to all the old-school historians?

The historians who valued primary sources and the interpretation of information according to historical context, rather than through modern eyes or through the lens of a social and political agenda the way so many so-called "historians" do today? Someone remarked that every generation writes its own history. While that is true, the present generation often does so without the standards or ethics of generations past. What they produce is slanted, filled with political propaganda and - in many cases - driven by the egos of the individuals that undertake the writing. Once upon a time, historians used hard data and logic-based extrapolation. Many of today's so-called historians play with theses the way a moron attempts to drive a square peg through a round hole. If their narrative fails to fit reality, they will hammer and twist the facts until they appears to do so.
