Is it possible for my left eye to get 20/20 vision?
My right eye is 20/20, however my left eye is 20/40. Would wearing a contact lens in the weak eye get my vision to 20/20 after a year or two?

Do I need contacts for astigmatism? - 1
I had an eye exam and the doctor said I have astigmatism. He prescribed Air Optix Night and Day but I didn't see anything about them being for astigmatism in the info or on the box. I assume it's ok since he prescribed it, but I thought I would need different contacts?
Also, he recommended Acuvue Oasys and next to it I think it says with Vistakon but it's a little hard to read. I'm having a hard time finding Acuvue with Vistakon. Does anyone know what that is?

I wore my contact lens the wrong way?! What will happen?!
I've been wearing OrthoK lens for a year now and this is the first time I mistakenly put the right one in the left eye and the left one in the right eye. I didn't notice that yesterday night, and today after I woke up and took them out I realized that I've been putting it in the wrong eye. Now my vision is a bit blurry but I was wondering, can anything serious happen?
Added (1). Btw OrthoK lenses ar what you wear at night and take out in the morning

If you buy contacts can you wear the same pair of contacts forever?
I'm thinking about getting contact lenses cause I have astigmatism and eye strain and I looked them up on Amazon and it showed boxes of 30 contacts lenses. But why? Do you have to change your lenses everyday? And also can I just buy any type of contacts on Amazon or do I have to go to the doctor for contacts? And I also got glasses when I went to the doctor but I didn't want to wear them.

How to get rid of bumps under my eyes?
Over this past Christmas break I got contact lenses for the first time (Acuvue soft lenses that I take out every night and change every 2-4 weeks). I wore them correctly for weeks with persistent itchiness and the constant need to blink. I gave up fighting and wore them off and on for a while, just a few hours a day when I needed them for class. I started wearing them again for extended hours to test them out again because a coworker suggested I might be allergic to them since she found out she was as well. I have developed dry red patches with small bumps under my eyes towards the outside (not around my nose and inner eyes). Is this an allergic reaction? Regardless, how can I get rid of these dry spots? Notes: my makeup, skin care, and eye solution have not changed; I apply jojoba oil regularly to my eyes to remove makeup every day and to attempt to heal the dry spots; I sleep and eat well and drink 2-3 liters of water a day; nothing has changed except I started taking iron pills (but I believe the dryness started before the iron pills).

What would the best eye color be for me?
So I've released I need contact lenses. I'm pretty happy with this as I'm some what obsessed with eye colors and I really don't like my eye color and now i have a chance to change it. However, i can't really decided what color would suit me best. I have medium brown hair and cool, nutreal, kinda pale skin. I also want to achieve a daring a some what dramatic color.

So i recently was in my doctors office a week ago and i got an eye exam done and i go back in today to pick up my contacts. I was wondering can i still ask for a free trial pair of colored contact lenses or did i wait too long?

Why would my Ophthalmologist refer me to a bad eye care store?
I always had my eyes checked at Pearle Vision and had the Optometrist at that store prescribe me glasses for my nearsightedness. But recently, my friend recommended this great Ophthalmologist, so I started going to him. He seemed good and seemed to know what he was doing, so I had no reason to doubt my friend's advice. Well, this new doctor gave me a new prescription and when I told him I was going to have the prescription filled at Pearle Vision, he literally almost flew off the handle and told me that I should never ever go to chain stores to have eyeglasses made. He said they always do a terrible job, which I found shocking because I never had issues at Pearle Vision. Well, I had my new glasses done at a non-chain store that my Ophthalmologist personally recommended. He claimed they were one of the best, so I took his advice. When I got my new glasses, one of the lenses was slightly warped and looked like it wasn't fitted in the frame correctly due to the warped shape of the lens. Well, I figured it probably was ok, but it didn't take very long for the lens to start falling out of the frame. I never had this problem at Pearle Vision and my doctor gets upset that I went there, yet he recommends this other place that does a terrible job. Why is that? Are some of these stores paying these doctors to refer their patients to their stores?

Male 24 with no social life. Just work? Feels terrible?
I'm a 24 year old guy from India. I'm doing my PhD. I've never had a good social life but now with work/studies occupying a lot of my time I've been very miserable. I feel isolated and am suffering from frequent anxiety attacks about little things. For example I got my eyes checked and upgradd d my glasses with new lenses based on the doctor's priscription. I'm now worried about my eyesight. Moreover. I have zero friends to talk to. I com home from university,eat, and go to sleep. I'm losing my sense of humour and I'm depressed. Help. Army enlistment medical waiver?
I have nearsightedness which is myopia I went to a optometrist to get my eyes check for the army my vision with corrective lens is 20/30 -10.00 diaptors in my right eye and 20/70 -15.00 diaptors in my left eye what are the chance I can get a waiver approve to enlist or do someone have the same experience with vision try to join the army that got approved?

Can I wear only one contact lens? - 1
I got glasses a week ago and my doctor also recommended contacts because I need correction all day long. My prescription is -2.00 and -1.75 and the glasses/contacts help A LOT! However, I now realize that contacts are very expensive.
How bad would it be if I just wore a contact in the -2 eye and leave the -1.75 eye without any help? Will that make it worse?
What about if I switch between wearing a contact in one eye one day and the other eye the next day?

Can the color run in colored contacts and damage your eyes?
My friend says that I shouldn't get colored contacts because the color can run and get in your eyes. I don't really believe her because every website I have went to says that they are safe so please help me.

Online Contact Lenses?
Currently I am out of my contacts but I might not be able to go to the stores for a while.
Looks like there are plenty of web sites that delivers exactly the same products as the one from optometry.
But I need the name of the RELIABLE page that has no scam and no bs.
One more thing, do they ask me the prescription? If yes, how can I show them?

How to store circle lenses for long periods of time?
I do cosplay so whenever i wear circle lenses, i only need them maybe 2 times a year for about a week at a time. I have about 6 months between sessions so how do i store the contacts when i'm not using them? Do i just store them in the contact case? Sometimes solution evaporates and i dont want my contact to shrivel up before the next convention.

Should I be wearing my glasses full time?
I've had an eye exam which said my contact lenses prescription is -2.25 and -2.00 which I'm guessing is -2.5 and -2.25 for glasses prescription but I'm not exactly sure. Anyways, I have been struggling so much to see anything that is more than 6 inches away from me. I can't see a person's face until they walk up right in front of my face. All I see are blobs in the distance. I can't see the HD of the world around me. Sometimes, I feel like I'm going to bump into someone because I can't see if they are there. Should I be wearing my glasses full time?

Can my eye doctor put my prescription in these frames?

Contact lens suddenly burning eyes?
When i put my contacts in it starts stinging and my eyes get all watery and red, i switch the solution every night and wash my hands before i put them in. They are not old because they are the monthly disposables & i only had them for 7 days. This never happened all the other days i wore them? I just put them in this morning and all of a sudden that started happening? Any suggestions? I don't think it's the solution as everyone says, i will let them soak in a different brand of solution

Contact lens after 30 days?
So I bought my contact lens last April 30 and by then i only wore them for like 7-12 times before expiring (May 30)
My question is, can I still wear my contacts even though they're past the 30-day expiration date? I barely wore them anyways. And I always store them on their case with solution TIA

Where can I find pink toric lens for cosplay?
I looked on uniqso, pinkyparadise, eye candy, and I still can't find any. Why? Any recommendations on where do they have them? I have astigmatism so it can't be any lens. Please I'd like to know.

Why do my eyes always water?
I'm 14 years old and wear contact lenses and my eyes never seem to stop watering, this has been going on for about a year or two they just don't seem to stop watering and it's not little tears I come out in floods of tears whenever I go out and it's windy even if I'm out for about 5 minutes my eyes will be like taps they will start watering from the outer corners then go to the inner corners, it does really affect my everyday life and as well as I like to wear eye makeup that gets ruined instantly and it is getting really annoying
When they start to water they don't stop for about an hour and then later on during the day going out again they will start watering even more I have to try and fix my makeup around 5 times a day when I shouldn't need to
Do I have some sort of infection or bacteria in my eyes? Should I go to my doctor and see what they say? Do I need to get any eye drops?
And tips or methods that can stop my eyes from watering this much everyday will be a lot of help for me

My family and doctor decided to wait for lens replacement until i stopped growing. I Dont want to be like my Grandmother who got cateracts and had a gas or glass lens placed in her eye. I want a lens that is similar to a biological lens that helps me see almost normaly.

Can contact lens solution not be used the same way as over the counter eye drops?
I have a pink right eye that has been going on for 3 days and it occasionally feels itchy and I have not been rubbing it lately. So far, it has not been going away lately and I am not sure what is going on. I know it is not infected because nothing is coming out of it. Instead of having it heal on its own, I want to put some eye drops on it to heal it. I was thinking about using contact lens solution to heal it because it rinses out the dust and pollen in my lenses and it is considered as artificial tears. However, my eye doctor told me that I should use solution as eye drops whenever my eyes get dry from wearing contacts. Should I use eye drops instead? I am not sure what ways I can get rid of the pink eye, but I believe what would be best are over the counter eye drops. Should I let lens solution or OTC eye drops to heal my eye?
