Does she like me or what? Why she's acting like this?

Hello there. Im a 15 year old boy.
At the beginning of the year a new girl came in class. First she was a little mean at the beginning. Then i totally changed my looks. I got a new style of clothes. I got contact lenses and tried 2put more effort in my apperence.
I remember tht since then, she started being nice to me, she actually sed once in class:
"I like you…Iii… like yourrr voice" (she kinda changed it to avoid awkwardness i guess)
And when wemet at school in break she started calling me friend "hey sympathetic friend".
So she started doing all nice to me but then suddenly she stopped being nice and started acting like a ***** out of nowhere. (Idk why)
And thenafter a while she started to be nice again and now she's a ***** again.
I asked my female friend and she sed that she likes me(she doesnt know her) But i kinda dnt believe it cuz i dont feel it from her and there's no chemistry.
Tell me cuz i dnt understand wht she wants, shes kinda weird(But shes REALLY HOT thou)

Do I really need to get ultra-thin high-index glasses lenses?

How important is it to get ultra-thin high-index (1.67) lenses for glasses? My prescription is -5.00 in both eyes (and -0.5 cyl, whatever that means). Salespeople (at Lenscrafters) have always talked me into those lenses (usually quite a bit more expensive than standard lightweight lenses), so that's what I've had for as long as I can remember. If I don't get them, will the lenses be quite thick?

I bought a pair of Warby Parker sunglasses with this prescription last summer and paid extra for these lenses at the site's suggestion. I'm getting ready to replace my everyday glasses now, and the glasses go up $30 in price with the special lenses-not a ton of money, but obviously I'd love to spend less if I can get away with it. The standard lenses from the shop I'm buying from are "Lightweight polycarbonate with anti-glare and scratch-resistant coatings, plus 100% UV protection," and the upgraded ones are "1.67 high-index, anti-glare and scratch-resistant coatings, plus 100% UV protection." The website suggests I buy the 1.67s for prescriptions between -4.25 and -8.00, which mine is. I just don't know enough about lenses to feel confident making this decision, and I don't exactly trust glasses salespeople to give me good information.

I've had little luck finding impartial/Consumer Reports-style information about this, or a hard-and-fast rule about what prescriptions make such lenses necessary. If you have a similar prescription and have had both types of lenses, please let me know if, in your experience, the standard lenses will be much thicker/heavier/unsightly! Thanks!

Do I have to sign a waiver to receive my contact lens prescription?

I had a contact lens exam a few months back and I called the optometry office to have them emailed it to me. They told me I had to come to the office and sign a waiver in order to have them release it to me.

I've never had this happen to me before, I think its like a ploy to get me to buy contact lenses from them, can they do that?

Contacts look glossy?

I have 2 week contact lenses and I've been using them for like 7 years now but today I opened a new pair, put 'em in and went to school.

I was asked if I was high 3 times lol, so I went to the washroom and took a look and my left eye was VERY glossy, it was like light was shining off of every part of the contact while my right one looked fine. It doesn't feel any different but it looks like I did some hardcore drugs or something lmao

Why'd this happen? And tbh it looks kinda cool, is there a way I can make it like this more often? I wanna make the right one look the same though. lol

Can I use multi-purpose contact solution in a case designed for peroxide solution?

Note: I'm not asking if I can use peroxide solution in a flat lens case. I know you can't do that.

I recently switched to 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and I've had no problems with it. However, I have special weighted contacts as I have astigmatism and one of them keeps turning. Usually I fix this by taking the lens(es) out and cleaning them off. I don't think I'll be going out anywhere tonight, but if I do end up at a party or something I would want my contacts back in. So I should just use some multi-purpose solution, which I have, to store them for a bit until I figure out what my plans are. However, I don't have a flat lens case. I have a spare case made for the CleanCare solution that my eye doctor gave me a few weeks ago and then I have the case that I use regularly that came with the bottle of solution I'm currently using. Is it ok to put multi-purpose solution (I use ReNu, if it matters) in the spare peroxide case for a little while?

Confused about my prescription and transposing the Rx?!

I had an eye test because its difficult for me to focus on the board at university when sat far away.

My prescription is:

Right: SPH:-1.0, CYL:+1.25 x 17.0 Left: SPH:-1.25, CYL:+0.75 x 160

I am confused as to what my lens power is on my glasses. I know that this prescription can be transposed so that it becomes: Right: +0.25, -1.25 x 107 and Left: -0.5, -0.75 x 70.

When transposed it seems like the sph makes me near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other eye. How can this be?

Also, I know this is quite a small prescription but it makes the difference between me being able to read the board and not- so is quite significant to me. Is this a serious prescription, and would you suggest wearing glasses and at what times?

I have this contact lens that I used 5 months ago for cosplay. After that day, I never used it again. I wore it only once. And its been 5 months since I used it. Has anyone had a similar experience with this drugstore mascara?

I'm talking about the Maybelline Colossal VolumExpress mascara. (In the yellow tube.)

I love how it makes my lashes look, but ever since I started wearing contact lenses, I absolutely cannot wear this mascara. It literally clumps off my lashes, into my eyes, and onto my lenses, blinding me completely.

Does anyone else experience this? And by any chance, does anyone know if this is because of a certain ingredient? So that I know not to buy similar mascaras in the future.

How to get my glasses to fit correctly?

I got glasses on Tuesday and they really do not fit right. They slip down the bridge of my nose (the woman would not adjust the nose pads), my lenses are popping out of the glasses slightly and they ended up popping out at the glasses store and the lady was careless with putting them back in, the ear hooks don't sit correctly to the point that I have to hold my glasses up at all times so they aren't sitting where my eyes are but rather on my nose. When the hooks are sitting comfortably the glasses end up resting on the VERY tip of my nose and I clearly can't have them like that. Can someone fix them if I go into the store? They seemed to not want to fix them when I first got them… should I just try and do it at home?

Why are White women considered prettier than Asian women?

I don't think that this is much of an opinion, nor does it have to do with the media. It has nothing to do with the media. The media wasn't around in the Ottoman era when out of all the non-Muslim areas they conquered, they only chose the white Eastern European women for their concubines.

I'm Asian, and the stereotype that White men love Asian women is false. I am a very pretty Chinese girl, yet when I'm with my beautiful White friends all the males turn to look at them and never give me any attention. I even live in California, where White men supposedly love Asian women. Whenever me and my White friends go out, I even see those White men with Asian women checking them out!

I have travelled all over Asia and they are always promoting these contact lenses which make Asian eyes look bigger, and skin-whitening products are a huge seller. They even choose White women to sponsor their skin-care brands. Even in ASIA, White women are portrayed as the epitome of beauty.

The White men I've seen with Asian women are never attractive. I strongly believe that they just run to Asian women because they can't get a White woman. It can be that they are unattractive and have low self esteem.

I feel less beautiful. I want to be White. Throughout history, White women have always been considered the most beautiful against Black, Asian, and Hispanic women. Why is this?

And to all men who say they love Asian women, I guarantee that you have at least once been attracted to a White woman. Everyone is attracted to a White woman once in their lives, no matter how much they deny it.

How to Order My Toric Circle Lenses?

Hello there! I'm trying to purchase some toric circle lenses and I am a little confused. I don't have my contact prescription, but I am going off of my contacts box.(I have Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism with Hydraclear by the way.) I'll basically just give you the basics and I would GREATLY appreciate the correct answer!

Contact lens irritating?

My left eye contact lens irritate me a lot. I always swim with lenses, it is said that it's okey as long as I'm wearing the goggles, and sometimes I bathe with them after swimming sessions, carefully and closing my eyes though. Is it okey?

Is going with vision insurance best for me?

I'm currently in my 20s and just trying to figure out how to do things on my own and I need help. So I currently don't have vision insurance and I really need an eye exam and new glasses (its been years). I don't have much money at all and I can't get any free services since I still have health insurance. Also my college does not offer vision care.

Well I ran into VSP offering me $14 a month or about $170 for the year. I can get $125 off frames and no charge on getting the lenses made once a year. I would still have to pay a copay for $25 for the frames and $10 or $15 for the eye exam. It sounds good but is it worth it? I ask because if I'm going to drop $170 on insurance couldn't I just use that cost towards the frames? I really don't know that fact that it covers my lenses being made is worth it since I have no idea how much that normally costs. So will it actually be saving me money, minus the face that I could do monthly payments vs. paying it all at once?

Also I heard that VSP doesn't work at places like Walmart so I'm wondering if I'll be spending a lot more at another place were VSP is accepted. Like their glasses are too expensive. I'm not really sure what to do, and I don't want to make a mistake. All I want is to be able to see clearly! Also if it helps I live in Illinois.

hello, i went to the doctors the other time about my eye because when i went to a holiday to africa a stone was throne to my eye which left it damaged and i can see partly but one pupil is bigger then the other and the doctors told me it wasn't possible for me to get my eye vision back and i can see 30% more then i did before and its just blurry when i look at things, they said that it bleeding behind the back of the eye and that lens on my right eye is wrecked and that some of my nerves have wrecked but i can see just not as clearly, is there a way my eye can need surgery or any medical support?

Why is my eye red after wearing contact lenses?

My left eye is completely fine but I noticed my right eye is a little red. I use the pure moist solution that was recommended to me by my eye doctor. I've had my contacts for 3-4 months and up until now I had no issue with them. Why is it red? I think I have the monthly but I'm not sure. My eye doctor said I could sleep with them or I could wear them for either a week or a month and just take them out at the end of each day and when the week or month is up, just throw them out. The red is barely noticeable and my eye doesn't hurt.
Added (1). My eye itches a little but that's it. Any ideas as to why my eye might be red and what to do to prevent that in the future?

Can dry eyes cause contact lenses to move around?

I have recently noticed that my left contact lens moves when i blink. It feels sort of floaty.
I really doubt that I have the giant papillary conjunctivitis because my eyes aren't bloodshot at all or uncomfortable without lenses.
The strange thing is, that it happens only SOMETIMES, but in the same eye. So it will be fine at certain parts of the day, then worsen at other times of day. And only on some days. This is also what makes me doubt that the lens is inside out.
My contact lenses were also checked for fit whilst worn.
Is it possible that dry eyes syndrome/dry eyes can cause a contact lens to move around the eye?
I noticed today that it got worse when I was somewhere where there was heating and was fine when I was outdoors.
It might also be worth mentioning that I have strabismus, or a lazy eye, though it's cosmetically corrected, it sometimes creeps out a little when I'm tired. Could this be contributing also? (It's my left eye also).

^ That is the description of my prescription + the lenses I ordered. Even though I got them "As thin as possible," they are still pretty thick with my eyes looking like I'm looking through a magnifying glass. Is there any possible way to stop that and keep my current prescription?

Can I use Alcon Opti-Free PureMoist Multi purpose disinfecting solution as an eye drop?!

I get dry eyes during the time I wear contacts and I haven't got to the store yet to purchase rewetting drops. So, I was wondering…can I use my solution as a temp. Eyedrop? I don't plan on using this all day, everyday for extensive periods of time,But just until next week when I can get the eyedrops. So my questions are…

A. Is it okay to use?
B. can I put a drop on each contact lens (while in my eye) just to moisten them?
C. Will this cause long term damage for my eyes since this solution is a disinfectant?

Have I been ripped off at the Opticians?

I have recently been for an eye test, first time in 2 years, because I haven't been able to afford it. The service was excellent, but I'm not sure about eh price, do you think I have been ripped off?

-The eye test was Free (Very Happy with that)
-The glasses that I chose were £84 (I think they were the cheapest there for Mens Glasses)
-Plus and extra £60 (Since I have really strong lenses, I have been recommended to pay extra to have them trimmed down, to make them lighter)
-Since I have paid over £60 on glasses, and get another pair for Free.
-it was £144 in total.

I don't have much money, and I feel that all the money that I have earned is almost gone on glasses (which I do need). I guess I would've had to pay for it some time.

Do you think I have been ripped off, and could've got it cheaper elsewhere?

Choosing new glasses (for high prescription)?

I'm a 17 year old guy in high school. I have a prescription of -7.50 in my left and -6.0 in my right and I expect these numbers to go up after my next eye exam.

I currently have these glasses in my incredibly high prescription:

and I think buying them was a big mistake. I only use these glasses for reading at night going home right after school. They distort my far distance vision so much. I cannot drive in them, nor wear them in public. They're also very heavy and tend to fall off my face, even after having them adjusted twice.

I've read about high-index lenses and I believe they're the only option. Are they as thin as normal low-prescription lenses, or are they just a little thinner?

And will high index lenses affect the choice of frame I can buy, or can I wear anything? I heard that the higher the prescription, you need smaller frames and frames that aren't so wide across your face.

Will high-index lenses also reduce distortion in my vision? I need to be able to drive in these and look relatively good (I hate how my glasses distort my face, like in this picture: https://sites.google.com/site/palinglass… )

So am I looking at relatively thin lenses, like the lenses made for low prescription, or am I looking at something slightly thinner? What kind of frame do I need to buy, or are my choices limited at all? I'm looking at plastic frames because they're in style right now and they hide the edges better. I desperately need a good pair of glasses to wear everyday because my contact-lens ridden eyes need a break:-)

Note: I will not be using insurance to pay for these so it would be great if I got pricing expectations for these expensive lenses. If I could go under $500 that would be great.

so today it was the 3 day i was walking with my eye contacts. (in the 1 time it was my very first time, its an colored contact). i taking a very good care of it, and cleaning it everyday with clean hands. i didnt been on an eye doctor but when i bought those( from a shop where they sell glasses) a doctor (he didnt checked my eyes) reccomended me to walk with those for 6 hours. so today when i gone to school, i was very nurvous cuz it was my very first time walking with it out of home. my eyes are very dryed, so every hour i put eye drops. after 4-ish hours, the corner of my eye was a bit ping. i wasent painfull, but alittle uncomftrable. people told me it can take for 2 weeks to get comftrable, is this true? i put my contacts first and then my makeup. i dont was a lot of eyeliner (im only 13 lel) , so like i said, after 4 and a half hours the corner of my eye started getting pink a bit and itchy, not painful though, sometimes around i see a bit blurry vision (it disapiers everyday more and more), but then blink a few times and it normal again. i dont have green yellow pass thingie. if it can come from the eye.-. but after i got them off after 5-7 minutes it was all fine. is this normal? BTW i sleeped only 7 hours, i woke up on 2:30 am. and the white thing didnt was red, only the blood veins got a bit red. its freshlook contacts. so if you know anything, ill be very grateful. and if you can please tell me what the signs for an infection and was to do. :)

Is my astigmatism severe enough for glasses?

hi, i have an inherited astigmatism from my father and i was wondering if someone could tell me if my symptoms are severe enough for corrective lenses:

- severe headaches from looking at writing for too long (at any size)
- difficulty focusing on moving objects (tv etc)
- technological devices end up right infront of my face after 10 minutes of use because i cant see it anymore
- black/fuzzy blur around writing when i read (text or handwriting)
- bad eye strain after reading for longer than 5 minutes.

Do I need to be prescribed contact lenses?

I'm 15 and have been wearing glasses for a very long time (I can't even remember when I started wearing them).

I asked my mum if I can get contact lenses and she said no straight away. She didn't let me finish explaining.

I really don't mind wearing glasses. They're fashionable, convenient and cover my large ugly eye bags, but they get in the way during wedding season.

When I go to someone's wedding, I usually wear nice make up and my glasses. But it's become a problem…

I do my eye make up all nice and pretty but then when I put on my glasses…POOF…eye make up gone down the drain.

What I'm trying to say is, I just want contact lenses to wear for special occasions.

Also, since my glasses are prescribed (I got to specsavers), do I need to go to my opticians for contacts or can I just go to the store and buy lenses and then pop them in?

I am from the UK so if you're from some other country…then…you won't help.

What does Diameter mean in contacts?

I just started wearing contacts and right away I want to try circle lenses.

I have very small eyes, so I have to be careful not to purchase something too big.

A pair of contacts I am looking into say the Diameter is 14.00 mm

So does that mean thats how big my eyes are going to look when I put them in or how big they are just in general?

I want big eyes, aka wanting to get circle lenses, but I do have very small eyes, so I can't put in huge contacts.

How to report a website?

I recently bought some daily contact lenses from a website in East Asia. Unfortunately the contacts don't stick to my eyes. The first few days they worked perfectly, but after a week they began to fall out of my eyes or they would not even go in! I gave up wearing them and went back to glasses! I contacted the website asking for my money back or an exchange but they won't respond! I've waited for their response for almost 3 weeks but none were given. I want to report them, but I don't know how to go about it. I live in the United states and they are from Thailand or Vietnam. I also used paypal bill me later program to pay it if anyone wonders.

Just wondering if some of the light that reach our lenses and eyes might be an illusion, in the sense that light bends and shows us the same things at different point of time, and that they look different an unique.

Should I try putting contacts again?

Hello. I got my trial contacts yesterday (for 1 month). Followed the instusctions cleaned them and everything. I used them today. It took me 2 hours to put the right eye contact in. At first my eye hurt a little and it got all teary for 5-10 mins. I got used to it and so I went to put in the left one.This time my (left) eye turnt red and hurt like crap. I also couldn't hold back my tears or stop blinking. At first, I waited and tried to calm down. After an hour I decided to take them off. I was so scared. My left eye was all red and it hurt a LOT, whereas my right eye completely comfortable.
I wanted to get off the left contact but I was shocked so I called my parents for help. My dad took the left and I the right one out. My left eye still hurt and stayed red for an hour or so. Anyway, now it feels better.

Maybe the (left) lens was inside out? Maybe I should have flipped it? I'm not sure. I'm so scared to put contacts again. Should I try again tomorrow? Will I get eye cancer or something? Oh and, any tips for removing the lenses? I find it so difficult to remove them!

What is going on? It's been 1.5 year? - 1

Hi, I'm 17 years old and a boy, and i love this girl to my death who is 15 years old.

The story begins 1.5 years back from now. That time we were in the same school, but i had to go away from that school so we seperated. We never really talked much to each other but i was 15 and she was 13, even though i let her know in a way that i love her, she just said she doesn't like me:). Counting from today, half a year ago i decided to send her a message to her in facebook, like how is it going and so on. In summertime i was running in a park, where apparently she saw me but i didnt see her because i have really bad eyes and i didn't have my lenses on my eyes, so we talked about that and ever since then i told her that i want to meet with her (yes, i've been asking her to meet in the past half year:p), but she is always like "i dont know", "i think ill be free next week so we may hang out i think", but the thing is shes always calling it off for some reason… Of course i want to meet with her after half a year i think it's normal:D but i'm alright if she doesn't want yet. Time was passing, i saw pictures of her and she didn't change much, i still love her so much! So i told her this again, and now her reaction was "Look, you are the perfect guy for me, we have so much in common and you are so kind but somethings different in us…". Again, time was passing and i kind of feel that she is unsure. Then i noticed some struggling periods, like when there is a problem that she never tells me, i understand that she doesnt want to bore me with her problems, but i dont get bored by that because i CARE about her problems, even if it cant be solved by me i just dont like seeing her like that, and because of that problem which she doesnt tell me, our conversation is affected in a way that we literally talk about NOTHING. So the other reason why i wanted to hang out with her, is to talk because i can tell you, talking with her in chat, is totally not the same as outside, for me its becoming harder and harder to find topics to talk about with her in chat. i can accept that she still wants to wait, i can accept everything just let us meet at least lol, to be honest i can even accept that she doesn't love me. But, not so long ago, something came to my mind. She's been having these problems pretty often and i concluded that its with her family, which makes me even more stressed because i know she is getting hurt and i so don't like that! Yeah, but what if we are talking about nothing else, but me being an emotional tool for her? I'm pretty sure girls like to listen "how beautiful you look my god! Aww, you have soo beautiful eyes:D! I love you.". I really can't decide which is it now… Our conversations are boring, its always me who is talking about myself even though i told her that im getting bored of talking about myself i want to know her more, she doesn't want to meet live after half a year, she never tells me her problems, she is making confusing comments. I asked her if i'm being too much for asking what's her problem, but she said no it's okay it's the way she is. So i'd like to move on, but i can't because what if she has got some problems in her family, it would be really bad to leave her in a situation like that. but what if she's just using me to boost her ego? I couldn't find an answer, so please if you have an idea, please tell me i really love her but i'm not stupid i will force myself to cut off the lines between us. Thanks

Can i use same lens for both eyes even if they have intensity?

My one eye is -6.25 and the other is -6.00… Basically, the sites i've looked from do not sell -6.25, they only sell, …-5.50, -6.00, -6.50…
And even If they would, do I have to use diferent ones? Or is it ok for me to just use -6.00 for both eyes?

Scared to put contacts again? HELP?
