Am i suitable for eye surgery?

I am 21 years old with no previous health problems except that my formerly excellent vision began to fade at the age of 12. I have had several new prescriptions over the years at it looks as though my vision may have finally settled. The Contact Lens Prescription for each of my eyes is -3.50. I haven't really had any problems wearing contact lenses other than sometimes i don't take them out for a few days and my eyes get sore. The thing is I'm interested in joining the New Zealand police and this is what they say about glasses. "Applicants must have good eyesight, defined as a minimum visual standard of 6/12 unaided in each eye, correctable to 6/6 with contact lenses or eyeglasses. There are no exceptions." what does 6/12 and 6/6 actually mean? If i do have surgery which one is better? The price of surgery isn't the issue. I want to have the best and safest procedure possible. So should i go for Lasek, Lasik or PRK. Also if you can give me any additional info relevant to this subject would be great cheers.

How long does a 12 once bottle of contact solution last you?

Hi, I have one pair of lenses and I bought a big bottle of solution for my contacts and I seem to use alot but I was wondering how long does it last for you people so I don't feel bad

Freshlook Colorblends toric blurry?

I received my contact lenses today, FL CB in Blue. I wear reguarly AirOptix for astigmatism and they are fine. But these colored ones, i kept seeing blurry like out of the corner of my eyes. And it was so annoying it was almost like it was hard to see. It gave me a headache and now my eyes hurt a little. I'm just wondering, do color Toric lenses usually feel uncomfortable or blurry? I dont know how soon to contact my Dr. Or the company I bought them from etc.

Is it possible to wear circle lenses with your glasses?

I've been thinking of getting contact lenses alittle bit over a year now, but up until now. I don't have them at all. Now I think it's completely dumb for me to be asking this question because I wear prescription glasses(been wearing glasses for yearsT_T) and I am an a mono lid. I have seen websites that sell prescription as well as non-prescription circle lenses. Which made me think a lot.
anywayz, my question is:
CAN I wear non-prescription circle lenses under my prescription glasses?
In the future, if I am unable to wear them I will stick to my glasses and maybe get contacts.

I feel unwell without my glasses but only slightly short-sighted?

I got my glasses around 8 months ago because I was slightly short-sighted, & I only relied on them for nighttime driving and TV.

Recently I've had very strange sensations in my head, I feel dizzy, uncoordinated, disconnected & very nauseas(sp?) The feeling was so severe I had to pull over while driving to calm myself from panicking. I felt wearing my glasses would help & ever since, I've worn them 24/7 & the feelings have stopped!
Is this possible? Should I see my optician for contact lenses because maybe my eyes have worsened?

Will an astigmatism disqualify me from joining the USMC?

I've been wanting to join the USMC for a long time now. I am a healthy, fit person with no medical issues besides an astigmatism. It's only in my left eye, my right eye is perfectly fine, no problems. With glasses/ contacts my vision can be corrected to 20/20. About 8 months ago I went to get contact lenses and that's when I found out I had my astigmatism, my prescription was as follows:

Power: -2.75
Cylinder: -0.75
Axis:090
Base Curve: 8.6
Diameter: 14.5

I'm not at all good at decoding what all of this is saying, but I don't feel like my vision would be bad enough to stop me from joining the Marines considering I can see perfectly fine without glasses, but I'm not sure. Help is needed!

Contacts Only Come in 14.0 and 14.8, but I'm 14.2? Which one?

Added (1). Okay, thank you foot I will chance it and go down. 14.8 sounds extremely large. I hope you agree. If not, please come back and reply… My eyes are pretty average in shape with the base curve 8.6. I wear the ultra flex and acuvue 2s.
