Is there anything I can do about my eyelashes touching my lenses?

I hate wearing my glasses because my eyelashes hit the lenses every time I blink. If I push my glasses further down my nose, there to low. I have long eyelashes. It's really annoying. I can't wear contacts, they don't work with my eye problems.
Added (1). It's only my left eye's eyelashes. Because my eyelashes touch the lenses, sometime I get mascara on them, so I have to clean them a lot.

Saleswoman gave me expired contact lenses?

ik contact lenses arent sold without prescription. I just bought contact lenses right now from an Indian beauty salon, the plano cosmetic kinds for Eid. The woman convinced me to get this color and i was just observing the box in the car and the expiration date was 2014/1/16. Its my first time wearing contacts so it scared me because i dont want to damage my eye… It costs $20…
so should i go back to the store and complain? Is it safe to wear it for even a day?

I know this may sound like a dumb question. I've been wearing contact lens for a majority of my life and have never swam in or dived into a swimming pool with them in my eyes unless I have swim goggles. But, I'm curious if it's okay to wear contact lens while playing around in the pool.

Contact Lenses? How to rinse and clean case?

I just recently got contacts and i'm not to sure on how to clean and rinse them. I know to put the solution on the lenses and where it goes on the case, but how do you clean the case? Do you rinse the case in tap water and let it dry then put in the solution and let the contacts soak for the night? I'm confused. Please Help.

What the heck is wrong with my eyes? Infection?

On July 11th I noticed that my right pupil way way bigger than my left pupil and felt weird- no itching, no burning, no mucus, no redness- but it felt almost as though my eyeball had swollen. So, to be on the safe side, I went to an urgent care center and they prescribed besivance eye drops. Typically it's used for treating pink eye. I used for an entire week as directed plus an extra two days to be certain and felt very good by the end of it. I waited until the 24th to put my new contact lenses in and bought all new eye makeup, except for eye shadow. My doctor told me that it should be fine, since it wasn't actually in my eye or extremely close to any ducts. Well, I am now at the beach. I wore them all day on the 24th, taking them out to sleep of course. I woke up today with completely bloodshot eyes that feel super swollen but are not itchy, watery, or burning. There's no mucus either. Plus, my pupils are the same size. What could this be? I'm going on another vacation for my birthday in a few days and I would be incredibly frustrated if I had to keep going eye makeup free and wear my big chunky glasses! Help!

Always tired, dizzy, cold, shaking, and hungry?

my daughter who is turning 15 soon around 100 pounds has been complaining about always being cold even in 80-90 degree wheatear I've noticed she has been sleeping a lot more than usual she will just pass out. Every morning she says she is dizzy and everything goes black now she's starting to get tingly and numb in her whole body and everything goes black and she starts shaking out of uncontrolled for about 20 seconds. Just wanted to get some ideas of what this could be also she's not dehydrated. Thanks for any help.

White goo/discharge from eyes?

I just recently tried colored contacts, and at first it was fine, it was difficult getting them in, but once they were in, my vision was fine. But after a while my vision got foggy and this white goo appeared at the bottom of my eye by the lenses… I have no idea why this is but i had to take them out. It didnt hurt and my eyes didnt feel any different while i had the contacts in ( other than them being in), so what is this? Any help is nice:)

Ok so i am 14 years old so of course i went to the eye doctor with my mom so my eye doctor went and took little lenses out and said to my mom thats about how your child sees the world. So do you think that my mom really saw what i see because she said it was really blurry and i don't see that blurry well at least i don't notice it. But anyways can a eye doctor do that and do you think it would actually look like what i see. And also i have -5.25 and -5.50 and no astigmatism and i know i have it because i saw my perscrption after i orderd my glasses and i have 20/300 vision (but probably worse because she told me no squinting but i kept on actadentlly squinting) so anyways do you think with that perscrption you could match up my vision by putting lenses in front of her eyes and also my mom has perfect vision without glasses or contacts

Optometrists - Help Needed?

My current prescription is -1.75 in both eyes using proclear ep contacts. I ran out of contacts and need to get some more. Where I am at now (Europe) the only ones they carry are biofinity multifocal and air optix multifocal. I called my optometrist back home and left many messages but he never got back to me. Could anyone help me convert my proclear prescription to either biofinity or airoptix?

Contact Lenses are Painful?

I got contact lenses today to try a 2 week supply. I only put on and took off the left eye lense there. I wanted to put in my lenses for a few hours tonight to get a feel for them. It took me a few tries to get the left lens in. I only had irritation near my tearduct and i had good vision. It took me a while to put the right one in. When it was in, it was extremely painful. (i have a 123 indicatior on mine. It wasnt inside out) idk if there was something under it but i took it out (it was hard bc of the pain) and i cleaned and disinfected both. Im too scared to try again and my eyes are itchy and irritated from poking at them. Here are my questions:
1. The outer corners of my vision on my left eye was blurry. Why?
2. Why was the inner corner of my eye stinging?
3. Why did my right eye hurt so bad?

if you have any suggestions on easier ways to put them in i would be happy if you told me them! <3

Can I use sunglasses frames for eye glasses frames?

so I know that when you get a new prescription, I can keep my old frames but get new lenses. What if I got sunglasses, popped those lenses out, and have the person put in my lenses. And if by any chance you're wondering what sunglasses I want to put my lenses in, is the rayban clubmasters. I know that they have eyeglasses for the clubmasters, but the design for the sunglasses is a lot better in my opinion.

Half red ring around eye?

Recently I had pretty bad pink eye in both eyes, it got so bad that it effected my pupils too. So after a week of very strong eye drops, my doctor said it was ok to wear lenses again. Keep in mind she said these drops would dry my eyes out a lot, but they never really bothered me so I rarely put in lubricating drops as well. Anyway, I put in fresh new lenses. I've been good for about a week and a half until about two days ago they would start to irritate me late at night from wearing. I'd wear them maybe 10-12 hours a day. Yesterday I put them in, the bothered me but I was always able to blink away the irritation and I did after awhile, but towards the end of the night my eye got pretty red around the pupil. Now I've got half a red ring around my pupil and it bothers me to look in one spot for more than ten seconds. Also, it hurts just a little. The pain seems to be in my upper eye behind the eyelid sort of. The ring is right where the contact seems to stop. Is the lense defective? My other eye is just fine wearing lenses. This one just seems to get redder as the day went by with the contact lens in. No discharge from my eye, no itchiness or stuff. I don't think it's pink eye again. Really concerned about this. I've been wearing contacts for over 5 years with no problems like this. Going to wear glasses and see a doctor soon.

EyeGlasses Prescription Help?

My Prescription glasses broke and my insurance won't cover a new one for me so I went to the optometrist to ask for a copy of my Prescription and I went online and found some glasses and these are pretty old prescriptions so I was wondering if I can raise some of the numbers but just my OD and OS numbers, that's all because in my old glasses, they were pretty hard to see in so I was wondering if I can raise them? I just adjusting to adding more hours onto the length of time I wear them. And I have to go out in two days for almost all night. Could I put them in before I go in the evening and wear them for the time I adjusted to so far?

Acuvue vs Freshlook [contacts]?

Ok, so for christmas im asking for more colored contacts.
i have already tried freshlook, and find that they are too noticible, and dotn look natural, like the hole where my iris is, is way to big.
i want to try Acuvue, but im not sure if ill have the same problem,
or if it was just freshlook.

I've always wanted to wear contacts… And today I got mine. The doctor explained me how to do it, i tried but i couldn't. I came home and tried all day but as soon as the contact lens touches my eye I my eye feels strange ( like when you have an eyelash in your eye) and I start to blink. I need help!

Can i wear my mam's contacts?

I want to get contact lenses but my mam said that i had to try her ones to see if my eyes would be okay with them, i dont think its a good idea but she wont get me them unless i try her ones.
They are perscripion but they would obviously be new ones, so i wanna know if its okay to try them on for about and hour or so?

Evolution: Source of variation?

I understand natural selection, except the source of variation, which i understand is random mutations, but isn't it quite unlikely that beneficial mutations appear at random a lot more than they would? If we were to trace the evolution of man from the first mammal which looked pretty much like an opossum, there are a thousand specific characteristics our primitive mammal must acquire in the course of it's evolution till homo sapiens. Say, a primitive mammal does receive a beneficial feature like better eye sight, but how does that feature spread from just one mammal to an entire species, are all species results of a few generations of inbreeding? I'm just confused, i'm not questioning whether evolution happened. It did, as it is evident from fossils, geographical distribution and all.

I have contact lenses that don't go inside my eyes. My eyelids don't expand very much making it impossible for to put contact lenses in. Even the doctor struggled for 30 minutes to put my lenses in for me. Please help! I really want to wear lenses as im tired of wearing glasses ( wore them for over 16 years)

New accessory to wear EVERYDAY! Ideas?

Last year for school I wore sunglasses as a headband every single day and I had like over 100 pairs, (They were All stolen by my Ex-BFF and sold online) They were nice Sunglasses ranging from $20-$200. Anyway, since they are all gone I need something different to wear to school everyday, it has to be unique. It doesn't have to be on my head because I had been yelled at by So many teachers telling me to remove my Sunglasses even tho they were on top of my head. I don't really do jewelry because I lose them, I do wear rubber bracelets every day but they aren't that 'cool'. I want something that will make me stand out. Earrings wont work because my hair covers them. I've worn Bandannas around my neck before like cowboys do before and that was okay. I have a furry wolf hood but no hats/hoods in school. I just want to be noticed in my school. Last year, I didn't know 1/2 the kids in my classes and I was in the same class as them for an entire year. They didn't know mine either. I want to wear something that will make people notice me, I wear band shirts and normal pants. I'm a bit on the heavier side with my thighs and belly. What can I wear as an accessory that isn't against school rules, isn't shirts/pants/shoes, and will make me stand out? Don't tease me, I'm upset that my sunglasses are gone and I don't want to start over with them; I just want to get a new accessory to replace my Sunglasses. How to buy contacts online?

I have never worn glasses before and i always knew I needed them. I need them in 2 weeks as I will be in a large seminar and will be sitting far away.

I already called every optometrist around and the soonest they had was in 3 weeks. Well I need them in 2 weeks so I was planning on buying them online or a store if they sell contact lenses to just use temporarily for just a day.

I don't know how to buy them though. According to my physical I got from my doctor I have 20/200 vision and nearsighted. So any help on what my prescription is?

I will not wear glasses for the seminar I'm going to. Contact lenses is the only choice.

Are my eyes working together?

Ok so i am a 14 year old guy have like 20/100 vision last time i checked and i am nearsighted and have been wearing glasses for school since 2nd grade and i have noticed i dont wear my glasses all the time but when i read a book or something or do work at school i noticed my worse eye or my left eye gets double vision until i can only see out of my right eye when i took a photo of it my left eye goes to the left while my right eye is in the same position and sometimes i catch myself closing my eye i dont really wear my glasses at school because i always lose them but i don't know if it will make a differnce. If i wear the glasses or not if my eye will do that but are my eyes working together and also when i was little i went to the eye doctor and the girl said i needed eye tharpy or something when i did the follow the finger thing but my mom thought she was crazy and took my to a differnt eye doctor and since then the eye doctor didnt notice it. So do you think my eyes r not working together and do you think wearing glasses full time would help that or what do they do if your eyes aren't working together

I already scheduled an appointment for an optometrist but they are busy so the soonest appointment was in 3 weeks.

Should I get transition lenses or contacts?

I've been wearing prescription glasses for a year now and I'm going on a 3-week summer camp this June/July and I'm planning to get transition lenses to protect my eyes from the sun. Are they worth it? How much do they cost? I have insurance, but we only get free glasses/check up every 2 years and I really need it by June. Although I've been meaning to change my frame. Should I get prescription sunglasses instead? Or contact lenses AND regular sunglasses? Also, I'm going to swim a lot this summer, so I guess getting contact lenses (while wearing swimming goggles) might be a better idea? Suggestions?

How accurate must a cosplay be?

I'm cosplaying Daenerys Targaryen for my first con. However, my costume is not based on any of hers off the showâ€"it's more an interpretation of something she might wear, mainly as I don't have the money / want to replicate something straight from the show. So many people have done that before.

I'm basing her also more of the book version of her character, by wearing purple contact lenses as opposed to blue. I also think I can get away with wearing my "different" outfit as with the wig etc., I think I'll look distinctly like her.

I would like to try contact lenses as I hate my glasses but someone said that if I need a prism in my glasses I can't wear contacts.

Contacts feel uncomfortable and itchy. What should I do?

So for the begging of the story, I got contacts about 6 months a go and the brand I had was Acuvue 2. I told my doctor that I was experiencing discomfort with the contacts and my doctor said the contacts fit perfectly in my eye and he doesn't know why my eyes would feel uncomfortable. Instead, he "upgraded" my contacts to the best possible brand he said and that brand is Air Optix Night and Day Aqua. With both brands of contacts, as soon as I put my lenses in I experience discomfort that only gets worse as time passes. I recently went back explaining to my doctor that the Air Optix are very uncomfortable for my eyes as well so he told me to use Systane Drops for Contacts. I tried using these drops and it barely helps! I never have dry eyes without contacts btw. My doctor said if that doesn't work, I might not be fit for contacts. I know it's not the solution or anything because it happens even with new pairs of lenses. I always wash my hands thoroughly before I put in my contacts BTW. I just need some suggestions on what to do or any possible solutions to my problem. I hate wearing glasses and I want to continue using contacts without the annoying discomfort problems. Purple contact lenses?

I'm cosplaying Cecil Palmer from Welcome to Night Vale in late august and I wanted to top off my cosplay with some purple contacts. I've been shopping around, but all I can find are special effect-esque circle lenses that are more violet than purple. I want a solid purple regular set of contact lenses from a reputable site that can ship in a decent time span. I know that's asking for a lot, but if someone could find me a useable link, it would help so much.

Can I get colored contact lenses at the eye doctor even if I don't need contacts?

I've always wanted to see what I look like with colored eyes, I have dark brown ones. Anyone with dark brown eyes knows that it gets pretty boring! Haha
Anyway I was just wondering if there was any contact brands that I have to go to the eye doctor to get just to have colored eyes. Does that make sense? Lol
I don't really trust those contacts that you can get in regular stores. I want to be safe. Thank you!

How to get rid of red eyes?

I began wearing biofinity monthly contact lenses in March and everything was fine until mid May. The whites of my eyes were getting completely red. I used drops for about 2 weeks and it would come and go without any pain. After about 3 weeks the red eye would not go away and was painful. I went to the eye doctor and he said it was allergies and suggested i use saline before putting my contacts in… Sadly it didn't work. I went back to the eye doctor a second time and he had me use Deruzol for 2 weeks… My eyes looked great and felt great, however Deruzol is a steroid and can't be used everyday! After a week off of the Deruzol my eyes turned red again so my eye doctor prescribed me Lastacaft for everyday use. I kept waking up with red eyes, id wash my face which cleared the red eyes and id use the lastacaft. My eyes would stay clear all day and they the next day id wake up with red eyes and start the process all over. After 3 week on the Lastacaft it stopped working and i couldn't get rid of the red eyes. I called the doctor, made another appointment and start using the Derusol again until my appointment.

Ive switched all my makeup to hypoallergenic, switched my face wash, switched shampoo, body wash, pillows, detergent and nothing keeps the red eye from coming back.

Could i be suffering from dry eye? I don't know what else to do.

How to know when my contact lenses are expired?

I have colored contact lenses, they stay for 3-4 months, I read that if I wear them 2 times then it counts as two days passed from the expired date, I have them for almost 3 months and I wore them for like 5 times or so,so will it be expired after this month or does count on how many days I wore them?

I hate my small Asian eyes?

Yeha I have a pretty low opinion of myself. They just make me feel so self conscious when I see other peoples eyes. Mine are small and unless I try, look like slits in my face. I want nice eyes like other people have, not boring small dark ones:\ I can't get surgery/use lenses/tape Fyi. I wish they were a bit bigger so it doesn't look as though someone has cut my face xD

My contacts make me see fuzzy?

okay I went for a visit to my optometrist and got prescribed some contacts for astigmatism but i would keep seeing blurry when i am at the computer. So i went for a follow up and got prescribed a different brand which was acuvue and these work way better but i still see fuzzy from time to time. Like you know when you get glasses and they get dirty when you touch it with your finger and when you wear them and you can see the dirtiness a bit well thats how i feel sometimes and i constantly clean the contacts and i even bought an eye wash product. Do i maybe need a stronger prescription or do i have something else like cataracts. I can see fine far away but its up close that i sometimes see fuzzy and mainly when im at the computer.

How can dark brown eyes change to grey eyes naturally?

I love grey eyes i think they are so beautiful! My mom has bluish grey eyes and my dad has brown. Well I got brown. So I am wondering how to change my eye color NATURALLY to a bluish grey like my mom's eyes. Also please put your answer in a step by step way so I can understand it well. One night I'm going to to this and wake up in the morning like they just changed so my mom doesn't get mad i changed them myself lol. Anyways it will mean a lot to me. Thanks!
