What can i buy with $20's?

I was going to get my lip pierced but my mom won't let me, then I was going to get non prescription contact lenses but I don't know where to buy them. I wanted to buy something that will look cool like something I can use daily that will make me look good in pictures. I want it to be something I can buy close like dollar general or walgreens. Does anyone have any ideas?

Contact lens help! Please?

Ok so I lost my right lens the day I opened it and put another pair in. So I lost the right coo tact lens from the (2nd pair) again. I was wondering if I could put my left contact lens into the right eye (I would be wearing two left contacts). The difference is 0.75 between the right and left.
Can I do that? Is it safe? Will it permanently damage my sight?

How often do you have to change contact lens cases?

I'm wondering because I've clean it several time and the right side has like pink stuff that won't come out of it and it gets into my right contact. I clean with hot water and soap and let it air dry.

Would 1/4 difference make you nauseous?

My prescription in my right eye is +5. I can't wear contact lenses anymore so I started wearing my old glasses today. They make me feel very nauseous. I went to Walmart and the optician checked and it looks like the eyeglass shop had them made 1/4 stronger than the prescription. They are +5.25. Is this what could be making me nauseou? Should I ask the eyeglass shop to redo them or is 1/4 off an acceptable margin of error? Thanks!

Should I Use A Saline Solution For My Contacts?

I use Opti-Free puremoist multi-purpose disinfecting solution, but I find it extremely irritating to put my contacts on when I wake up due to the burn and sting of this stuff, it takes at least 30 minutes to an hour to force my eyelids to cooperate because it burns so much only putting them on.

Would it hurt to try Bausch & Lomb sensitive eyes plus saline solution to rinse my contacts before putting them in? It specifically says it can be used with hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solutions, and I didn't know if it was implying that it wasn't safe to use it with other solutions that didn't have it.
If it's not a good idea what other solutions could I try?

Should I Switch Contact Solutions?

I recently got contacts and love them! My problem however, like everyone else's is putting them on once they get them. The solution the eye doctor gave me is opti-free pure moist.

By first touch this solution burned my eyes, it was kind of a shock, taking it as normal I've continued with it for about 5 days, and each time I go to put my contacts on they sting my eyes and it's just very uncomfortable. After they're on though, I don't have any problems. I also don't think it's from my eyes necessarily being dry either, because once my natural tears start flooding in and washing the solution out with them (what I'm guessing) it relieves the burn.

Should I continue with this solution a little longer (which is almost gone anyway) or look into another solution?
P.S I have the monthly contacts.
Added (1). @Marie K, I use opti-free pure moist… I didn't know their were separate solutions for different purposes, but this solution does clean, recondition, rinse, disinfect, ect.
Added (2). @Footprintz I really don't mean to be argumentative if you read this, I am new, but I do know what goes on with this stuff. It is true about the edge of the lens touching my cornea, but I do know that the solution itself slightly burns my eye from putting separate drops of it in my eye, it wasn't just the middle of my eye burning it was around it too, and this morning I put them in and I had to shut my eyes for a couple of minutes to relieve the burning, and I also don't know how to clean them properly, I just rub them all over with solution and theres fuzzies (idk what to call it) all over the contact, and even after they sit overnight they aren't the least bit clean, and when the solution run down my eye it really burns, the burn eventually goes away though.

Should I get super strong lens for my lazy eye?

My right eye is +5 and my left eye sees only 20/200. One optometrist said I could choose either +8 for that eye, or else just have it at +5 to match my other eye since I barely use that eye. Another optometrist said I should have it at +8. +8 makes it hard to find glasses for such thick lenses. Will my eyes get tired if I don't do the +8 or do you think I can skip it and just match both sides?

Yayy I am getting my grey lenses today Inshallah.
As i will be wearing contacts for the first time, I need some tips. I have never seen anyone wearing lenses but i have heard that it hurts when you wear'em, is that so?
furthermore, how will I apply kohl when i will wear lenses? Because i read on various web pages that you can get cataracts if it comes in contact with the lenses, but is there something i can do to avoid getting kohl onto my contacts? I have one thing in mind, I can wear kohl outside my eyes like not on the waterline but on the lower lashline, WILL THAT STILL CREATE A PROBLEM?because i have school farewell party coming up soon.
Please tell me i am not doing any damage to my eyes by wearing lenses:S

ok so ive been really depressed lately and stuff and i woke up last night in the middle of the night and like i was only half awake but i seen a person and he didnt move but like it didnt look like a religous person…actually it looked like a normal guy and he was kneeling down beside my bed looking at my wall, dont think he even moved a muscle he was only there for like 5 seconds but like he had a snapback on and like clothes that most teenagers my age would wear he looked to be in his early twenties… Now idk if i was just imagining this or what but i was definately awake but not fully awake, i wear contact lenses but obviously i didnt hav them on at the time so maybe it was my vision playing tricks on me or something but idk its really wierd and im 100 percent serious about this. And you would think that would of scared me but it didnt at all…

Will my eyes adjust to distances wearing contact lenses for farsightedness?

About a week ago I got a new prescription for contact lenses. I've never worn lenses before and my eye doctor told me it would take a couple of days for my eyes to adjust. I'm farsighted and so with my lenses in, things up close are in perfect focus (unless I look down, then things have a kind of watery halo around them), however, things further than about 5 feet away are extremely out of focus. I cannot read road signs, license plates etc. Driving at night is near impossible. It takes about 20 minutes for my eyes to adjust to watching TV and looking in the mirror can be kind of weird.

Are my eyes going to adjust? Is this normal? Or, do I need to get a second opinion on my prescription?

Do i get brand new glasses or just new lenses for my old glasses?

I'm due an eye test within the next few weeks… I got glasses 2 years ago, long sighted… And i feel it's got a lot worse, as in, i know i will need stronger glasses. I got mine from specsavers and got 2 pairs as there was a discount and i got the nhs discount. - Im assuming you only get this once? Mum said i would probably just get new glasses completely, but my dad said i can just get the lenses in my current glasses changed? I don't wear them all the time- just driving, in lessons etc, but i wouldn't mind just having another pair instead of sticking with the old frames! I assumed the lenses were the expensive part, although my glasses are designer?

About putting money in paypal?

Ok so I ordered contact lenses for $42.80 and the wedsite only uses paypal. So after i got that done it says the order has been made click here to pay paypal so i did. And paypal wanted $49 and i went what! So do i have to have that amount in my bank to get the lenses because i only had the total $42.80 in my bank. Will paypal only work if i had $49 in my bank. I just received my colored circle lenses from Uniqso, and I don't have multipurpose solution, only saline… Since I have NEVER worn these lenses yet is it okay to wear them this once w/o putting them in multipurpose solution first? 1.90 High Index Lenses?

I was thinking of buying glasses from MyEyewear2go, the thinnest lenses they offer is 1.90 glass. They also say it will virtually eliminate that shrunken eye look you have when you have strong prescriptions. Mine is -10.00 in one eye, -9.75 in the other so all I care about is not having magnified eyes. I first wanted to know if anyone recommends that site as a legitimate place to buy from? I also wanted to know if anyone recommends for or against me getting 1.90 based on my expectations. It also said they're more brittle and heavy. How brittle on a scale of 1 to 10 would they be (10 being most brittle). Thanks!

What kind of saline solution should I use on my industrial piercing?

So I asked my piercer what kind of saline solution to use on my piercing and he said to use normal saline solution for contact lenses but that isnt "multi purpose."
However, when I went to buy some all I found were multi purpose… So I was hoping someone could give me a brand name or something to buy because all I found at walmart were multi purpose.
I know I can make my own but the piercer recomended I didnt…

I have the one day contacts and I was wondering how long I can leave them in the solution. How many hours can I wear these contacts?

I have coloured contact lenses from MesmerEyez and It says they last 90 days but, how many hours can I wear them for? I've had them in since 1 and its now 2 so they've been in for pretty much an hour which isn't much time at all, i'd like to wear them for most of the day, do you think this will be safe? What does it mean when you feel contact lense discomfort in one eye?

It's bearable and doesn't really irritate the eye, it just feels that I have something in my eye. It's only with one eye and it's really not the contact lenses problem since I have the same sensation with new ones and I randomly switch from right to left since I have same vision for both eyes.

I've noticed that it's easier to take it out rather than from the eye which I didn't feel it in, where the contact lense seems to be more sticky to the eye.

I'm having this for quite a long time now and I used to think it was something on the lense that caused this, but as recently I returned to wearing them and I can now tell that it's not.

Can it be that the other eye has a different shape or something?

Anyone know of natural looking colored contact lenses?

I don't want a big change, I just want a slight difference that most people probably wouldn't notice. I have green eyes but I want more of a blue-green color. Would it look more natural to use enhancers for blue eyes instead of opaque ones? If so, any product suggestions you've tried?

How to properly care for these contact lenses?

I bought coloured contacts by 'MesmerEyes' along with a basic case for them and some solution. I know how to get them in and out of my eyes but i have some questions; they came in their own solution, would I be able to apply them straight from that or should I convert them into new solution in the case first and leave them for a while?

when should I clean them? Is this a mandatory step because i'd of thought they'd be clean from sitting in the solution, cleanings probably after removal or if you drop them or get make up on them right? I want to be extra safe here

also one more thing, the guy who I bought these from (i went to the excel centre event in london) said 'if you keep them in a case they can last 3 years' it was a busy place and literally packed with people, did he mean to say 3 months maybe? I mean if they were still in good condition after 3 months you could still use them right? They look too cool to get rid of

Astigmatism and Keraticonus?

Please bear with me. I have an auto immune disease (ankylosing spondylitis) and throughout my life have had eye inflammation (Iritis or Anterior Uveitis) and on my last episode of iritis my vision on my left eye became greatly impaired.

I told the ophthalmologist if glasses will be able to help me out and told yes. So I went to an optometrist to see if I could get a prescription for glasses. She did her routine tests and told me that glasses will be of little use to me and said that a special king of contact lens could help me if I were to have something called keraticonus.

She told me that I would have to go to a specialist that deals with keraticonus and has the right equipment and that the lenses would have to be custom made.

Anyone that has keraticonus and had to pay out of pocket how much was the test and consultation with the doctor that diagnosed and prescribed the special kind of lenses?

And, how much were the contact lenses themselves? I would really appreciate any help.

First contact lenses?

Hello tomorrow I am getting my first contact lenses well they will be a weeks trial.

I blink when ever something comes near my eye I know its natural to do.
But will I be able to put in contact in then

I need them for my dance classes so they will be disposable ones.

I just practiced now touching the white of my eye. (With clean hands) I blinked alot and it stung but after 5 mins it felt ok.

I tried with wet finger
Dry finger
I looked as I did it.
And I looked away.

I tried different things.

I read this was good practice so im feeling more confident.

Is this practice anywhere near the real thing?

** I am quite nervous. Im having trouble sleeping so I got up to practice. :) **

I wear typically fortnightly bausch and lomb soflens contacts, occasionally the daily ones too. Anyway I on a typical weekday I'll wear them from 5:30am to 8:30pm give or take, sometimes more especially on weekends/friday nights. Anyway I've been doing this for about 4 years now and I had my first eye test in almost 4 years the other day and they had a good look at my eyes and said everything looks perfectly healthy but I know there's lots of recommendations ie, 10hrs per day max, but my eyes are apparently perfectly fine, I don't often feel irritated by the lenses either

Should I ask for a refund?

I went to Walmart Vision Center on the 3rd for an eye exam and colored contacts. My insurance didn't cover it so I paid out of pocket (exam $109, contacts $55). They told me the contacts would take 5-7 days to arrive and they'd call me. Well 8 days go by and nothing, so I call to ask the status of my order. Apparently, a "new employee" was working that day and the order never even got sent. So the order was placed on the 11th despite ordering them on the 3rd. Annoying but not a huge deal.

Well, the contacts finally come and I drive to Walmart to pick them up. (Walmart is a good 15 minute drive from my house). And of course, they ordered the wrong f*cking color. So now it's already a few weeks past the date they should have arrived, and the order has to placed yet again. In addition to paying over $100 to wait 3 weeks on contact lenses, I had to waste gas money and will have to waste more again when the correct ones arrive.

Should I ask the manager for a discount or something?

Why my left lens on my glasses blurred?

I just got new prescription glasses today and if I close my left eye my right eye sees crystal clear. My left lens on the other hand is completely blurred and when wearing the glasses it's hard to focus and it's like I have double vision. It also strains my left eye. They told me my prescription changed and these would take some time to get used to but I don't think meant it would be this extreme.
