My mom says she dosent want me to wear them and she isnt gonna pay for them but im almost 16 (on friday) and i said what if i get a job and pay for them. She says they can mess up my eyes but i said at least i cant really break them like my glasses. She still says no an di really want them.So can i and can u give me some suggestions on how to convince her to let me get them even if i pay for them myself?

Added (2). I do have soe friends that did wear glasses for most of their lives and i recently started wearing them and i hate wearing them. I say look better without them
