Glasses blurry around edges?

I bought new glasses a month ago when I got a new prescription. They are RayBans which are bigger than I'm used to. I got high index lenses with anti glare. At first they were horrible and I kept going back and back to tell them it was so blurry and they said it was the large frames or the lenses and I need to take time to get used to them. The prescription is correct so I just kept them and finally my eyes feel like the ajusted since I got them a month ago but now the problem I have is that if I look all the way left, right, and down without moving my head it's blurry. The other day there was a book on the floor and when I looked down I couldn't read it unless I took a step back and completely moved my head down. Is this normal on larger lense glasses? I don't know the problem is.

How to prevent my eye number from increasing?

I started having glasses since 1st grade and I don't play any video games AT ALL. My eye number keeps on increasing and increasing. I only watch about 1 hour of TV everyday. Somedays even less. I really need help with this because everytime I go to the pool, I have trouble seeing people and other stuff. And my eye doctor recommended that I don't get contacts and I personally don't like contact lenses either. I really wanna enjoy the outdoors without having to wear THICK THICK glasses.

Daily Disposable Contact Lenses, Wearing Schedule?

I have recently started wearing daily disposable contact lenses in a trial period. My optician has said that I should only wear them for 6 hours and then 7 hours the next time then +1 hour every day I wear them during the trial period. But my problem is I have school during this trial period and want to wear them at school but school lasts for 7.5 hours. So can I wear them for that long?

Distant vision glasses for reading and working on computers. Good or not good?

I was going through my eye prescription today and it says Sph -0.25 for both right and left eyes. I have mild astigmatism too. The Cyl values for both eyes were -0.50 each. Axis for right eye 128 and for left 67.

Please correct me if I am wrong but when Sph value is minus (-), am I right in thinking I have short sight? Which further means I can see closer objects clearly but have problems with distant vision? If that's true, then the glasses I have been supplied with are for my distant vision? If that's again true, why was I advised to get a blue light protective coating (to work on computer) on my distant vision glasses? Why would I be using distant vision glasses anyways for reading or working on the computer?

Is it not bad for my eyes if I use glasses (actually meant for far vision) for reading? My natural eye lens would have to accommodate to the new lens every time I use it for reading, I think. Sorry, too many questions. Brain is buzzing uncontrollably.

What are the chances of going blind if you wear contact lenses with slightly dry eyes?

I'm talking about the new silicone hydrogel colored contacts from air optix. I want to wear them but my eyes are naturally dry sometimes (not severely, but light to mild dryness). But I don't want to go blind.

Assumung you follow the doctors instructions and dont overwear., what are thw chances?

Hi, I am going to the eye doctor tomorrow, and was pondering over if I should get eye contacts. The problem is that I don't know if I can handle putting them on because I am not tolerant and just can't use eyedrops. So, which is harder to apply, contact lenses, or eyedrops. I can t put contact lenses in?!

I ve been to the optician 6 times and as soon as the lens touches my eye, I blink and it doesn t go in! They put me off when I m trying to do it because they stare at me and I can tell they get frustrated when I can t get it in. They told me to come back in 6 months which is now. The lenses are cold which is probably what makes me blink. I m 14 and have had glasses since I was 3, I hate them and I would prefer contacts! Please help!
Added (1). I can touch my eye with my finger but not the lens, and I look away from my finger when I'm trying to put it in.

Soft contact lens prescriptions?

Do you need a current (like within the last year) prescription to buy new soft contact lenses from someplace like 1-800-contacts.com if they have your old prescription on file? If I just want to continue buying the old lens prescription, can't I just do that? Or does the prescription expire and they won't send you any more?

I slept with my contact lenses in my eyes within 13 hours?

I'm so tired that time and I forgot to take off may lenses. But luckily nothing happens when I woke up. My eyes got red like a sore eyes only and in the next day it's fine again. I shared it to my friend who also taking contact lenses always and she was shocked cause it's about 13 hours and it's really dangerous she said. My lenses is not soft, it's thick. It is safe?

Erratic blur vision in one eye?

I have been trying contact lenses, and I find that my right eye periodically tends to blur out. My power is the same for both eyes.

I suspected dry eye, but applying eye drops/blinking more seems to make the image blurrier. In fact, it it when my eye feels dry that I get clear vision.

What could be the cause of this?

If I have contacts that expire in two weeks but I don't wear them for everyday of the two weeks, will it still not be safe to wear after those two weeks?

I want circle lenses, but I have keratoconus? - 1

I Really want to buy them, but the problem is that my left eye have the illness.
Also, I won't use them all the time, because I have the problem in which I can't see from near and from far in both eyes.
But, anyways, will them worsen my situation? Will they fit well in my left eye?
Will they bother?

I'm 16 and I'm trying to get my permit… I also live in California. The guy didn't really tell me what to do next and im a bit worried that I'm gonna have to take my written test again.

Citalopram - dilated pupils and blurry vision?

I've been taking 20mg of citalopram for five days now. One of the side effects I have is dilated pupils and mild, intermittent blurry vision. I've read that these are side effects of citalopram. The muscles that control pupil dilation and movement of the lens to focus are affected. What I want to know is, can either of these things cause damage to the eye? I'm worried that they might. Also, will these side effects subside with time? I don't want them permanently.

Do you HAVE to take out your contacts everytime?

My Doctor told me to make sure I do not sleep with my contacts in which is fine because I am scared to death to do so. However now I am realizing that there are moments during the day where I may be sitting and watching t.v. And may dose off. I stop myself before I do and try to stay up because I don't want to have to go take out my contacts for a quick nap just to have to put them right back in.

I know I'm being lazy but, do you have to take them out if you feel you may fall asleep (while watching t.v., waiting, or just relaxing)? Or is a quick "power nap" an exception? =)

Suggestions and advice for eye care?

Hi guys. Here's the case. I read a lot. Too much, I'm beginning to think. When I overflowed my bookshelf, I turned to ebooks. I transfer them to my mobile( Lumia 820) and read late into night. I've been doing that from the past one year, and now I think it's taking a toll on me. My eyes start hurting after a while. Along with that, I'm also active on FB, instagram, whatsapp and wattpad(and YA too, sometimes). And my school is considering switching to ebooks from this year.
I don't want to visit any optician, nor do I want to wear specs or lens. I'm sure I'm not that damaged. Please give me tips and suggestions to undo what damage I've done.
PS, I'm no 'studious geek', who is cooped up indoors all the time. I do step outdoors.I'm out half the day, so I get exercise and all that.

Why do i feel like there is a hair or sand after welding?

So I was welding and now my eyes feel irritated first it was both but now only one its not that bad any more but I had never welded before but it hurts so its been going on for about 1 day and a half I felt asleep and put potato slices on my eyes and one of my eyes is good now its just my left eye now that hurts not as bad because the first day I couldnt open them at all but now its just irritatinghow can I make it go away will sleeping make it go away and rinsing them help please I don't have that much money for a doctor but if I need too go ill take my savings out and ill go health comes first and I did use the faceshield

So I was trying to put on my soflex contact lenses and one of them fell down and I couldn't find it for the next ten minutes and when I found it it was dry and wrinkled on the edges. Can I reuse it after it stays in the solution for some time (most likely a month)?
