Im a 19 yr old male and today was the first time i ever tried contacts. I got my prescription from drs, and then they taught me how to put it in, the left eye wasent bad and took like 15 min to get down solid, the right eye took almost 3hrs!!! Until I gave up and scheduled an appointment for another day because my eye was all irritated and red from trying so many times. The doctor sat with me and showed me many times and I tried and tried again, but my eyelid was stubborn and kept getting in the way and I had problems with the pinching movement.will I ever get the hang of it because I'm completely frustrated right now

My eyes have been dry and scratchy all day - HELP!
I went out last night and when I came back I, stupidly, forgot to take out my contact lenses. This morning, I took them out but my eyes have been scratchy and tired and red all day, how can I fix it? Will it be better with another night's sleep or not?

What will they do if I already ordered with them but decided to go somewhere else?
About 3 weeks ago I ordered contact lenses again from my eye Dr.'s office. I called them up.It came out to be 125 dollars in total. One of my friends told me that I could get them a lot cheaper recently through this website. I checked it out and wow there's a big difference.So now I want to order online and forget about purchasing the ones I already ordered.My question is. Will I get in trouble or be told something if I don't go pick up the ones I already ordered? I haven't paid for them yet. Not until I go pick them up. I'd rather save money by buying them online than to spend half as much at my optometrist. Thanks.

Very natural-looking circle lenses for blue eyes?
I have blue eyes and I want very natural looking circle lenses that enlarge greatly.
It's really hard for me to find any, because the reviews and photos usually show people with brown eyes, so I don't know if it would look natural on blue eyes.
I want to find lenses that will enlarge my eyes but keep the color real and not have a giant black line around my eyes.
Kind of like Dakota Rose, I believe she used circle lenses that only enlarge her eyes but look very natural (perhaps she didn't).
I'm also afraid of buying from a website that isn't well known, because it could be bad quality or a scam.
Does anyone know any good brands?

Good concealer for under the eyes?
I have bad under eye bags and circles. They aren't that puffy but they're really discoloured, purply/blue.
I am really pale as well!
I currently wear glasses, so the frames cover them up and make them a lot less noticeable.
But I am going to switch to contact lenses, and I am considering getting a good quality concealer.
Debenhams have a 10% off sale and they have brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Lancome etc.etc.
I only want to use it for under my eyes.
I guess it needs to be full coverage but I don't want it to cake or be noticeable.

Which lenses are good for me?
I am suffering from extreme myopia.m against operation as it involves risk.i have been using lenses since past 7 years..though a yearly disposable one.
now my doctor suggested me to wear..either bausch n lomb softlens 38 or softlens 59.i am unable to decide which one is better for my eyes, keeping in mind the cost too.
also i would like to know if using anti reflecting glasses regularly, will reduce my myopia or not…

I can't get used to contact lenses?
I wear glasses, but they don't go well with my active lifestyle. I horse ride, go badminton and go to the gym most days so their a bit of a faff :/ (I can't see far away but I have quite bad eyes so far away really isn't far)
I want to just wear contacts for when I need them, like when I am doing sport. I don't really need to wear them all the time.
When ever I go for a trail at the opticians I end up blinking them out? I just can't stop my eye blinking fastly when they go in. Then they end up falling out of my eye.
I can touch my eye and do the technique without the contact but when I have the contact on my finger, ugh, I just panic I think.
How can I get over this? Thanks for answering in advance.

Wearing expired contact lenses, is it fine?
So, my lenses are going to "expire" on March 12 because I started wearing it on Feb 12, my doctor said I shouldn't wear it after Tuesday (Mar 12).So, yesterday, I asked my mom and I to go to the optometrist but she won't let me because it's my finals starting on Monday.

Can I be off a few numbers when ordering contact lenses?
I wore contacts for over 3 years, I went back to wearing glasses and I've been wearing them for over 3 years now as-well. I seem to cycle from contacts to lenses.My question is whether I can take my SRx for buying contacts? I know which brand and everything down to which lenses model. Conveniently the prescription it asked for is identical in format to the one I have for SRx. However on my OS I require -3.00 for my Cyl and the lowest is -2.75 also on my OD I require 005 for axis and the lowest they have is 010.Do these number make a drastic change? Can I afford to be cheap and just be a few number off? I have astigmatism also so i dont know if that also matters when considering these small compromises.

RGP contacts at Walmart Vision Center?
Does anyone know if i am able to get fitted for RGP (rigid gas permeable) contacts at Walmart Vision Center? I'm finding it hard to see any deep sky objects on my celestron 150 slt, any tips?
I have a celestron nexstar 150slt, i have a 2x Barlow lens, 10 mm and 25mm eyepiece. I know I'm not going to get real close up pictures, but ATM I can't see any nebulas or galaxy's at all, do I need more eyepieces or lenses? Or could it be light pollution stopping me,? With my the naked eye, can see the consullation, planets not much after that.

Circle lens that is 11-13mm?
Does anyone know of a circle lens brand or type or BOTH that is 11-12mm? Or just anything below 13mm? I know there are hundreds of contacts and circle lenses that are 14.2 or 15.0mm, but I'm looking for a REALLY natural one, anything below 13mm

Contacts are sticky when I take them off?
They feel fine when I wear them but after a good 8 hours of wearing them they are sticky when I take them off. They look blurry and have like imprints of my eyes on them (the veins).Is that normal or is it time for a new pair?

Should I wear eyeliner or mascara?
I have liquid eyeliner, which I sometimes wear, but I have to wear a very thick line for it to show (I have monolids… ). Mascara isn't really recommended, as it makes my eyelashes go straight, even after using an eyelash curler, and is so hard to take off and it goes everywhere after an hour or so. I also wear contact lenses…

Why are Ray Bans shades so expensive?
So i bought some $150 shades about a few months ago.
i got them because i think they are really nice! i got some nice goldish ones, and i head they protect your eyes well from the sun… so im just wondering…
what exactly are they made from?
-the lenses?
-the material?
-how "well" they protect eyes
im just just curious about what they are made of…
ive googled a bit but cant find a lot… thanks!

Contacts with a -0.25 astigmatism?
Hi there,
I want to order contacts but I cannot find any toric ones that fit my prescription.
OD (R) Sphere: -2.75
OD (L) Sphere: -2.25; Cylinder: -0.25; Axis: 108
The optometrist said I barely have astigmatism at all, but thought to put this on my glasses prescription. However, now I am confused about contact lenses. Can l just order non-toric lenses with my prescription being so minor? Or is there a way to order ones for someone with minor astigmatism?
Added (1). If the cylinder is ignored, what about the axis?

Looking into circle lenses?
Okay so I need circle lenses for a costume I'm doing.and I know it's against the law to sell them in the US so I'd have to get them online.
The thing is, I'd obviously like to be as safe as possible with this, I don't want to damage my eyes. I have perfect visions and have never used contacts. I'm fine with the idea of touching my eye and I don't think I'd have any trouble with them at all. I just want to know the safest way to get them. If I were to get them without a doctor's recommendation I would certainly not be going to the cheapest shittiest lenses out there. I'd make sure to go for the best brands.
I've looking into how to care for contacts and specifically circle lenses. I know that you do NOT want to get the liquid they come in in your eyes and that you're supposed to soak them in contact solution for a minimum of 6 hours. I know you're supposed to make sure your hands are clean and use the tweezers to handle them unless of course you're putting them in your eyes.
Anyways… is it at all possible to get any information from an eye doctor in the US other than "don't use them". Even if they knew of a safe place to get them and all that would they not tell me for fear of lawsuits if something went wrong?

I would not be wearing them on a daily basis.just two days.that's it. There are people out there who wear them on a daily basis and are just fine.

Will wearing plus lenses correct my myopia?
I've been wearing glasses since I was 14[now I'm 17] and this thing starts to annoy me.
I am going through my teen ages wearing glasses (not any one's wish) and even if they're really nice-looking and I look nice with them on it just bothers me..I can't see entirely, I mean..even if I see perfect when I'm looking through them, downwards, upwards and sidewards my vision's blurry.
And the bad thing is that with the years wearing on, my vision gets worse and worse.[Now I have: right eye - 2, 75 and left eye - 2, 50 | at 14, I had just - 2 at both eyes]
My optician recommended me a Lasik and I will surely get it, but I have to be older than 20.So till then I wanna fix it a bit.
I have read that wearing plus lenses will diminish myopia and, in the same time, I've read that it won't do any good to my vision, even worsen it.
I also do a lot of eye-exercises and eat well[many carrots, greenish vegetables… ]..but then I came across this plus-lenses-thing.
Could you please tell me what to do? I'd be so grateful.

I have just seen this picture of her with blue eyes as a little girl, or can they change colour? My eyes were blue when I was younger but now they're greeny grey, but blue to brown is a huge change!

Natural-looking blue contact lens?
I have dark brown eyes & I'm looking for BLUE cosmetic contact lens that look very real and natural, not creepy and plastic and fake. Removing contact lenses?
Hello :)
I'm quite a new contact lens user, and I have a bit of a problem removing my lenses. Usually, one side comes out easily, almost immediately on the first or second try, then the other is challenge… meaning about 10 minutes of trying? There was once I took half an hour on and off, and my eye got really red and irritated.
I've read quite a few articles on how to remove them but I'm already doing what they tell me… I usually do the pinching method but that really irritates my eye after a lot of trying. After failing with the pinching, I then try looking to the side and sliding the lens to the white and attempt to remove it from there but that hardly works either, and also irritates my eye quite a bit.
I do get them out eventually, but it's quite a stressful process… Does it really just come with practice? Is there a more reliable method that I can try?
I can put my lenses in with completely no trouble at all.My optician said it's usually the other way round for most people!
Lastly, do your eyes always get really dry after wearing contacts? Is it another getting-used-to thing or is it just that way?
And any other advice regarding lenses is appreciated! Thank you so so much really :)

There was once I took half an hour on and off, and my eye got really red and irritated.
I've read quite a few articles on how to remove them but I'm already doing what they tell me… I usually do the pinching method but that really irritates my eye after a lot of trying. After failing with the pinching, I then try looking to the side and sliding the lens to the white and attempt to remove it from there but that hardly works either, and also irritates my eye quite a bit.
I do get them out eventually, but it's quite a stressful process… Does it really just come with practice? Is there a more reliable method that I can try?
I can put my lenses in with completely no trouble at all.My optician said it's usually the other way round for most people!
Lastly, do your eyes always get really dry after wearing contacts? Is it another getting-used-to thing or is it just that way?
And any other advice regarding lenses is appreciated! Thank you so so much really :)

Why are my contact lenses constantly dry?
I wear soft lenses that last for a month by the brand Cooper Vision Biofinity Sphere. About six months ago, they were changed to that brand by the optometrist because apparently they didn't have my prescription anymore, originally they were Air Optics.It hasn't just been dry with my current set, but two other pairs before were also dry. I have tried two different solutions, Activize and currently Pure Moist. I find myself having to blink tons of times a day just to get them to moisten a little bit, but my left eye is drier than the right eye. I have tried those eye drop tear things to wet your eyes, designed for contacts, but after five minutes they go back to being dry again. I have even put my solution in a spray bottle and sprayed it on my eye… I've done EVERYTHING!
It's really annoying and people probably think I'm mad for blinking so much! It's even harder since i'm in highschool and I can't exactly take out my contacts hygienically! It's so uncomfortable and I hate it!

Where can I get them? I dont have glasses or anything, i just wanna scare people at school haha. But I tried walgreens, walmart, and i can seem to find them anywhere! DO they exist? lol

Can I put my Laptop in carry-on? and can I use my Laptop while on a plane?
I am going with my niece this summer to Wyoming to see her dad.My sis cant go since someone has to watch and take care of the other two kids, So I offered to go with my niece since she is only 8 years old and all the flights require changing planes at least twice.
Anyway, I will be taking online classes during this summer for college and will need my laptop while there, I don't know how long I'll be up there, at least a week maybe two, if not more.So I would fail my classes if I didn't have my laptop.

What style of jeans should I wear?
I'm fairly new to wearing jeans. I never used to wear them. But, i'm trying to improve my image a bit (trying to 'dress to impress') and I saw jeans as a big step forward for me. But, as i'm new to wearing jeans and the whole concept of it, I don't know which style to get. There are 2 factors that kinda need to be considered.
First, I have quite beefy legs. I don't really want skinny jeans with that in mind. Also, I want to consider what would suit my shoes. I wear a pair of Nike Dunk High's (here's a reference if you want to see them: http://purchaze.com/en/1064/nike-dunk-high-black-wolf-grey-white.html)
I usually wear jeans over the top of the shoe instead of tucking them under. That's just another thing to consider.So, my question is, what would you recommend? What is the feeling after wear contact lens first time?
I started to wear contact lens one day before for my right eye only. Since my left eye has only a 0.5% vision matter, orthoptic advised me to wear lens only for right eye. But, yesterday and today I feel I cannot see properly even as I was able to see without contact lenses.Is this normal or is there a problem with my lens?

Why do I want glasses so bad?
Ever since I was little I have really wanted glasses. I remember getting sunglasses and popping out the lenses then wearing them to school I pretend I actually had them. And I still really want them. I wear my brothers sometimes and everything is so crystal clear with them it's cool. Plus I think I would look 10x better with glasses.Is that weird? I get an eye exam on Saturday, could I fail on purpose to get glasses?

So I'm getting contact lenses and I have astigmatism… Are the contacts going to be different for that? Would the contacts hurt your eyes if u hav astigmatism? Cuz I only have it in one eye… Also could you get colored prescribed contact lenses for astigmatism? And if u get colored, would it even look like your natural color or would it look really fake? Yeah so is it alright if i remove my makeup and eye makeup with my contacts still in? Why does one Contacts Lens become blurry initially and then become clear?
Just recently my right eye contact lens becomes blurry when I wear it, but then I've soon realized that in about 15 minutes, it becomes clear, but my eye becomes irritating so I have to remove the contact lens from the eye. Does anyone know why this happens?

I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 and I'm 15 now. Left eye is -11.25 and right is -11.00…
I always shower with my glasses on because I can't see ANYTHING at all … I can only see things if they're literally an inch or so away from my face. The farther the things are, the more blurrier it is.
I have prescription goggles but the highest degree they have is -10.00 so I have to stick with that which sucks. I never take off my glasses except for when I sleep.
The thing is, it keeps getting worse and worse. Almost every time I visit my optometrist, I get new lenses. I'm scared of what's going to happen in the future. Should I be worried?
Also, I want to get contacts but will it worsen my vision or will it affect it any way? If so, how?

What is the texture when you take off contact lens?
My contacts are so uncomfortable even within 5 minutes of putting it on. I feel like there is obviously something in my eye, its not painful, but its just uncomfortable and feels better when I take them off.
Is it normal for the contact lens to be completely dry when I take them off? (It's not moist)
It's not devoid of moisture to the point where its crusty when I take them out, but its not as moist as when I first put them in.
I think I might have to get new ones because maybe its not fitting the curve of my eye very well or something.

Shouldn't a girl who must wear glasses look pretty with them?
I think most people will agree. I can pick nice frames but I cannot pick my prescription.It is very high (-14 range) so my lenses are thick and have acquired other undesirable attributes such as multiple power circles and making my eyes tiny. I am unable to wear contacts, and I already use a very high index and fairly small plastic frame. What other strategies are available? My eye are still getting worse!

I heard it does, and i have to go a full week wearing only one contact lens. Someone please help!
Added (1). Because my other one fell when i was putting it in the capsule and i didn't notice until the next day.It was my last left one and my mom said it's gonna take a week for them to order other ones for me. Mannnn this week is gonna suck. :(

How to take the liquid that contact lenses are in to school?
I'm really desperate to wear my contact lenses to school. I have a whole trial week this week.My trial week stops on saturday. On Monday, I had an hour to get them in and I could, today I put them in but the fell out in the car. Tomorrow I want to take the little packet/container thingy with the liquid in to school so that if they fall out, I can wet then again and put the.In my eyes. i'm sure under the bleached skin, colored contacted lenses and bleached hair streaks… there's a nice natural DARK beauty,
Why do they all admire the European look? (blue eyes, light hair and pale skin) … yes, there's some DARK Europeans too but those have mixed with Turkish, Moors..Arabs etc.and YES! i know iranians have blue eyes and light skin and hair but those most likely have some European ancestor but of course they won't admit it because of their "aryan" obsession lol…
anyways, i noticed my iranian friends always have to OVER DRESS ..even just for going to the mall down the street… they are so fake! and they always want to find rich guys… they try so hard…
and they're not that friendly to other races.they HATE black and asian people and they seem to be jealous a lot of any European person i bring with me to their parties… but honestly what's up with them… why are they such fake people?
could it be because in middle east/india and north africa they always put these white looking blue eyed singers with pale skin (when their own people are dark)..and maybe they feel like they have to look as white as possible?

Why do they all admire the European look? (blue eyes, light hair and pale skin) … yes, there's some DARK Europeans too but those have mixed with Turkish, Moors..Arabs etc.and YES! i know iranians have blue eyes and light skin and hair but those most likely have some European ancestor but of course they won't admit it because of their "aryan" obsession lol…
anyways, i noticed my iranian friends always have to OVER DRESS ..even just for going to the mall down the street… they are so fake! and they always want to find rich guys… they try so hard…
and they're not that friendly to other races.they HATE black and asian people and they seem to be jealous a lot of any European person i bring with me to their parties… but honestly what's up with them… why are they such fake people?
could it be because in middle east/india and north africa they always put these white looking blue eyed singers with pale skin (when their own people are dark)..and maybe they feel like they have to look as white as possible?
im not here to fight.im not saying they're ugly.they can be very beautiful when they are THEMSELVES… and what's wrong with being called dark? (i know a lot of iranians who see this will get offended but that's the reality you need to face it.you ARE dark) even italians are dark..and you're telling me middle eastern people are white! really dark is GOOD. Contact Lens Safety Advice?
I want to purchase some colored contact lenses. I just want to make sure I prevent any mishaps with them… I've heard of people who've worn them for 30 years with no problems, and others who've only worn them for a week and scratched their cornea, got an infection and went blind… I prefer to be one of the people who have no problems.
So, whatever tips you'd like to share on general sanitation and eye health while wearing contact lenses will be immensely helpful. Information about keeping your eyes moist and giving them enough oxygen is especially appreciated, because my eyes are already mildly dry. I've never worn contacts before and have always worn glasses.

Tear in contact lens?
Hi!
I was just trying to take out my contact lens, and i failed to remove it at the first try, then suddenly when i blinked after that it kind of creased up in my eye such that it was half out of my eye already. When i closed my eye and opened it again it creased up again and i removed it, and saw a tiny tear at the edge of the lens :(
Is that why it kept coming out? My mum said it could scratch my cornea and i shouldnt wear it anymore so i threw it away and replaced it with a new one… now i have only 1 unused contact lens left *_*
How do you think i tore the lens? It wasn't uncomfortable before that, could it have been my nails? It was right at the edge and it was a really tiny tear… how do you think i can prevent my contacts from tearing? Sigh it's only the 5th day since opening, what a waste :(

What is the idle age for lasik surgery?
I'm nearly 17 just 5'5 and i need corrective glasses cause of myopia some doctors say it can be done at 18 and others say 21, now shall I switch to contact lenses or what? I mean they say that everyone grows at a different pace so i think i shall wait till 18 and check or is it safe to get it done at 18 ?

Dropped my contact lens on the floor?
Hi! I'm a new contact lens user. When i was about to put in one of my lenses, it slipped off my finger and onto the floor (in my room). I picked it up and rubbed both sides with solution, then put into my eye. Nothing bad will happen to me right? Hehe. Thanks!

Will my vision get better?
So right now I have really bad nearsightedness. If I place my hand in front of my face and move it back until it gets blurry, it will have only moved 10 inches back.My contact lens prescription is -4.50 in both eyes.My vision started to get bad around when I was 7, with my vision being 20/30. Ever since it's been getting worse. I'm 17 right now.
The thing about this that I don't get is my parents don't naturally have bad vision.My mother has 20/20 but my dad has really bad vision in 1 eye because of a firework accident. Will my vision ever improve?

Wet-wipe my face, and my contact lenses in.
Get dressed, eat breakfast.
Put my makeup on, do my hair.
Brush my teeth again, the. Leave for school.
Nights;
Have a bath + wash my hair.
Wash my hands + brush my teeth.
Take my contacts lenses out, wet-wipe my face.
Put Vaseline on my lips, lashes and brows.
Go to sleep… Is this bad?

Hi! I'm working on pulling together a costume for an upcoming convention and I am going as Kurloz Makara from Homestuck.

I want to achieve this look with a pair of non-prescription white mesh contacts from a website that I have heard great things about.My only concern is that I don't wear contacts, only glasses. Seeing without my glasses is not an issue, the issue is that I'm just not experienced in contacts care or application (although both my parents are).It doesn't seem very hard (I'm not squeamish about touching my own eyeball) and I understand that hygiene is also a huge part of effectively and safely wearing contacts. Keep in mind that if I get these, they will not be in for very long (only a few hours) and I will probably only wear them once for said convention. I'm aware of the dangers they pose, but I feel like I'd be okay with them in. Does anyone have advice? Do you think I'd be okay wearing a pair? Has anyone else worn non-prescription costume contact lenses without any issues? Sorry the question is so lengthy, just thought I'd give insight on my dilemma! Thanks.

My Cornea is not working properly?
As I see my eyes in mirror I have noticed that one of my eye cornea lens in not well focusing.It is more expended like it do after retinal checkup.but less than that.

Eye contacts advice please?

I have been wearing acuve oasis for astigmatism for almost two years. There are 6 lenses in the box and only 2 of them really work. With the others my vision becomes blurry within one hour of wearing them. Rewetting them as soon as they blur does not help sometimes. I use opti free solution. I poked myself in the eye with the end of a piece of dried grass?
About a week ago I was arranging dried flowers and accidentally poked myself in the eye with the sharp end of a piece of the grass.it hurt like the dickens at the time and really watered but the next day it seemed ok. I wear contact lens and I put them in the next day and as the day wore on my eye started to hurt and got very red. I took out my lens in that eye and the next day my eye felt fine. The next day myh other eye become inflamed and very sore like I hyad something in it. I thought maybe I switched lens (my prescription is the same for both eyes) I went and bought new lens and put them in.my eye was still irritated so I removed the one lens from the irritated eye. I fell asleep with the other lens in (the eye I originally injured) and when i woke up it hurt like hell and was extremely red. I have left both eyes without lens in for two days now and using Naphcon A eye drops and it has gotten alot better. There is no visible infection in either eye, (my eyes weren't goopy or crusty in the morning). I can't drive to the doctor because I can't see but should I be concerned or just carry on with what I am doing?

My current contacts have a base curve of 8.6. Could I wear 8.4 or 8.8?
I was pretty broke and they were the most affordable for me at the time when I had my appointment with my Optometrist, but they dry out my eyes quickly. Now I want to purchase Acuvue Oasis online but they only come in 8.4 or 8.8 base curve. Which fit would be better for me?

My daughters eye was irritated from her contact lense to the point where she was crying.
Of course she took the lenses out.
She had an English paper due tomorrow.
I am writing her teacher a note saying this:
Dear mrs.___,
(daughters name) was not able to complete homework due to irritated eye from contact lenses. She will turn in assignments tomorrow.
Thank you,

How to get used to contact lenses!
I have worn glasses since I was 3, and after a few terrifying sessions being held down and eye drops put into my eyes in my childhood, I am very protective over them. Now, at 21, I REALLY want to have the freedom that contacts bring, but my eyes close instinctively when I try to put contacts in… any tips! Thank you!

Glasses cleaner in eye?
Okay this is really bad timing so i was cleaning my glasses with 'iseries' lens cleaner and i accidentally sprayed it in my eye.It didn't hurt or burn or anything and i quickly washed my eye with some water. The problem is that i just got pink eye on friday but it just started clearing up today and is almost gone. Even though my eyes feel fine and it didn't hurt i'm a bit worried should i be?

Hello as you can see above I want to find a manga here is what I remember:
It is set in a world were people since around 20 years was born with "lenses" along with their normal eyes that allows them to see differnent things depending on what "lens" they were born with.
The story is about a guy that was born without a "lens" and was therefore bullied as being "lensless" was extremely rare.
I also remember the first few chapters had a girl that could see if someone was right or wrong for something depending on if they had a O (or was it a checkmark?) or a X above there head, a girl that see a devil tail on someone who lies and a teacher that can see what proffesion a person is suited for.

How to figure out my contact prescription?
I'm trying to buy online contact called circle lenses and I need to find out my true prescription. The information give to me on the paper is
On my right eye;
B.C: 8.7
DIA: 14.2
SPH: -5.00
CYL: -1.25
AXIS: 180
On my left eye;
B.C: 8.7
DIA: 14.2
SPH:-5.50
CYL: -1.25
AXIS: 170
I learned through online searching that SPH is the power but also that CYL means I have some astigmatism and that that needs to be considered, as well as AXIS, to my prescription.Am I supposed to add them in or something?

Eye itchy or irritated while wearing contact lens?
Yesterday only my left eye was itchy, and now my right eye is itchy while wearing contacts.so i know its not the contacts thats teared or broken.could it be that theres dirt or dust on it? i took them off and put solution on it but still irritates me like theres something between my eye and the contacts.its only one eye.i tried lubricating eye drops for contacts but it still itches.maybe i need to clean it good?

Short-sighted with very high prescription - is it worth getting laser treatment?
I am nearly 19, and recently i've been having trouble with my contact lenses (particularly with swimming) which I have been wearing since I was 14.My prescription is -10.00 in my right eye and -9.25 in my left, and has remained stable for about a year.Is it worth seeing a laser consultant or would I be considered too high prescription/too young? Also what kind of price range could I expect if I could have it done? I've heard it gets more expensive the higher the prescription, so if that's the case I'm not sure I would be able to afford it for a long time anyway.

I got a Sph and cyl number but buying only SPH lens?
I got checked my eyes today.i got SPH -1.50 on both eyes and CYL -1.5 too.
My optician is saying i should but -2.0 contact lens and i'm good to go because increasing spherical value will compensate for CYL. there won't be much difference after then.any suggestions?

Why do some people try to trick their eye doctor into giving them too weak a prescription?
Most nearsighted kids need stronger glasses every year until their early 20s. I'm one of them. When you get new glasses, they should be strong enough for you to see the board, drive safely, etc. Yet I know lots of kids who try to squint, memorize the chart or use other strategies to try to fool the doctor into prescribing weaker lenses than the need. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the exam as well as waste money ?

So I wanted to know how to enhance my eyes.they are normally brown, but change a lot with the light.Im looking at color blends freshlook contacts. I want green-ish eyes, but I dont want my eyes to be totally green because it can look fake really easily. Naturally they are hazel, half pale green and half brown, but the green gets washed out. I want bright, noticeable, hazel eyes, not fully green. Blue, will look probably too fake. Grey is pretty cool, but can look creepy. I think green is the way to go, because my eyes are already hazel.

I want bright, noticeable, hazel eyes, not fully green. Blue, will look probably too fake. Grey is pretty cool, but can look creepy. I think green is the way to go, because my eyes are already hazel.

Is it okay to wear a torn contact lens?
I have a cosplay event in 2 days and I am planning to go as Matryoshka Gumi. The contacts really finish the look, but as I was trying them on, one tore a little at the side down. I planned on layering my prescription contacts and my color ones, so is it okay to wear this torn contact over my prescription one? I have work two contacts in each eye for a few hours before. I really want this cosplay to be good, and I am not afraid of the risk.Is this okay? If not, would it still look good with one contact. Sounds stupid, but asymmetry is part of the cosplay. Help. Now. Please.
