How quick can an eye prescription change? - 1

Im 24 and my eyes have just started to get bad (it happened quite rapidly) I now wear contact lenses for a mild prescript -1.00 on one eye -.75 on the other. Since I have gotten them I feel as though my sight has gotten worse. Perhaps this is due to how well I see now but I feel as though I really dont see as well.Is it possible for your prescription to change in 5 or 6 months or less.

A month ago I was kind of pushing my eye doc to check my eyes again because I felt the same way at the time. I asked if my eyes could have changed since I was checked last (maybe 4 months previously) and he kinda looked at me funny and said no not really.

Should I ask her about her eyes?

My newest colleague has very unnerving yellow eyes. I think I'm a year or two younger than her, and she is somehow very intimidating. I don't think they are contacts. Also, her gaze is so intense it's kind of scary. The first time my boss and I met her she was wearing sunglasses, obviously to hide her striking irises. She is slightly hostile and she doesn't talk to anyone very often. I wanted to ask her about her eyes and what her problem was but she left the studio before I got the chance. Her pupils are always either very large for long periods of time or they are very small, about the size of a pin head for extended periods of time. I looked in the phone book for her address and I went to her house in the afternoon last Saturday. Her house is huge.It's very secluded and has multiple balconies and 2 sky towers. The first time I met her she was talking to my boss and she was wearing studded platform ankle boots that could hurt somebody, tight, black leather pants that buckled down the sides, 5 belts all with studs or chains, a corset type, black tube top and a white smoking vest. When she answered the door she was wearing what I assumed was a bathing suit, the platform boots, an oversized jacket most likely her boyfriend's, and a mouth cover with a pink print of the jaw, cheek bones, and a nose crevasse. She looked even more intimidating. Her eyes practically glowed in the evening light. I tried to look into her eyes but I looked away. She then reached into a pocket on the jacket and pulled out some sunglasses with blacked out lenses. She put them on, but I could still see her yellow irises. She asked me what I was doing there and I told her I wanted to talk. She said, "Well, I don't so you're welcome to leave." I looked up at her from the lowest of the steps leading to the front door and then the door shut practically in my face. I'm 17 and my main question is, Should I ask her about her eyes and her hostility, and why am I oddly attracted to someone that cruel seeming. When she was talking to our boss she told him that she would be more enthusiastic when the time came to that. I heard her laughing distantly before she came to the door. What is up with her and her eyes?

I made a deal with my parents and they said on my birthday (on Monday)

Contact Lenses While Traveling?

I'll be on a trip for about 45 days. I wear monthly prescription contact lenses, but this is my first time traveling with contact lenses because I used to wear only glasses.So:
How many pairs of contacts do you suggest I bring with me?
The plane ride is an overnight flight.should I just wear glasses instead?
What contact lenses supplies should I bring with me? (Solution, drops, cases, etc)

Okay today I went and got fitted for contact lenses. I have a slight stimatism in my eyes and my prescription is very high. The optician ordered in a trial pack and today I tried them on.It was very weird and uncomfortable and I had to blink quite a lot.In my left eye it felt a little bit more blurrier than the right.Is this normal? I'm fourteen by the way and I've been wearing glasses since the age of 1.

What is the darkest shade for my transition lenses?

So i have transition lenses for glasses and when im in the sunlight they dont get very dark for example i want them dark enough so you wont be able to see my eyes and at the moment they dont do that and i want them to be able to do that.so whilst at the eye doctor i was wondering if i could ask them to get the lenses to the darkest shade possible i was wondering what the darkest shade would be called so i dont make a fool of myself at the eye doctor or is that even an option?

Last week I went to the eye doctor for contacts and I was given a free two week pair. I like these contacts but they dry out my eyes so I might have to try something else. Also my glasses prescription is 2 levels lower then my new contact prescription. I wear my contacts then my glasses which is bad because my glasses is the wrong prescription.

Im going back to the doctor next week for a follow up can I get glasses instead and Ill buy contacts later?

This is my 4th or 5th question pertaining to my eye problems. Here's my new question: Can you wear two different brands of contacts in each eye? For those of you keeping up with my eye problems (I should say eye doctor problems), I did call my eye doctor this morning and demanded he do something about my right eye (it has astigmatism in it and he wouldn't do anything about it for the past year). He said he would order me a Toric lens for my right eye, but he's going to keep my left eye the same. Basically, he's going to have me wear Acuvue Oasys in my left eye and a Bausch and Lomb Toric in my right eye (not sure which one though).Is this safe to do???

Is it ok for me to remove my soft contact lenses with q-tips/cotton buds?

I have long nails that I love but I also love wearing contact lenses as my glasses are really heavy. I don't want to give up either of them. I saw on this tutorial on YouTube where the girl removes her contact lenses with q-tips. I though this is a great idea, but I am not sure if it is safe… If not, do you have another safe idea???

Eye doctor vs circle lenses?

So. I'm doing a costume where I really need to wear circle lenses for the complete look. I don't wear contacts so I don't know my base curve or anything.
I know doctors in the US disapprove of circle lenses and won't prescribe them… But if I were to just go in for a fitting, to know the base curve, and such.and bought the contacts on my own, would that be fine?

I actually just ordered them last night.generally with circle lenses the base curve is 8.6.which is about the average eye base curve.obviously all eyes are different though. I just wish the FDA in the US would approve them because if you follow the rules to wearing them.they're perfectly safe. They're as safe as you want to make them.as are any other contact lenses.It would even prevent a lot of people from doing it wrong if they could get them through their eye doctor!
SO. anyways.would it make sense for me to bring in my contacts when they arrive if I were to go for some sort of fitting? If they fit correctly would they be able to recommend what kind of solution I should use for that material? Or will they just scold me and tell me not to wear them period.

If a eye doctor can't sell them to you.can they still recommend the best ones for you? I just want to go about this the best way I can.

Whenever it gets dark, I hear strange voices and whispering?

First of all, I consider myself a very intelligent person. I'm in trigonometry as a freshman, went to high school in 6th grade, etc. I say this because I am in firm disbelief of any notion indicating myself to be "crazy". However, I don't doubt I have some kind of psychological disorder.

I have a secret. I hear strange voices and whispering whenever it gets to be nighttime, sometimes accompanied by delusions. During the day, I don't hear the voices. When it gets dark outside, however, I start hearing voices. I can literally ignore them if I want to, but the more I focus on the voices, the more I hear them. Sometimes they tell me messages, and they force myself to see hallucinations and delusions, as well as flashbacks of various moments in my life. These flashbacks can be from when I was little to earlier that day. Whenever these hallucinations or flashbacks occur, it's like a film that goes over the lens of my eye, to where I'll just move around and can't "un-see" the flashbacks. Sometimes I feel like gorging my eyes out so I don't have to see them, for sometimes they're extremely creepy.

I've heard these voices for as long as I can remember. Sometimes the voices accompany me whenever I'm in a struggle or forced to make a hard decision, and they'll start whispering. I've found that they like to fool me; deceive me and appeal to my emotions and regrets. Also, I have a "photographic" memory, so sometimes the things that I've seen previously during the day will start randomly being forced as a clear, mental image in my head. I haven't ever told anyone about these voices and such, and thought that I could cope with them. I can actually get sleep at night nowadays, because if I put on music with headphones and then clench my eyes shut, I can normally go to sleep alright.

I've considered different things such as the fact that the voices could all, so-to-speak, be "in my head". I could just be in such firm affirmation that the voices exist, that I deem them to be real. However, I've found this NOT to be the case. I committed myself to investigating the voices thoroughly, and the psychological effect that they have.

Patanol eyedrops and contact lenses?

Okay so I looked it up because I was curious. I use Patanol eyedrops in the spring because when the oaks bloom the pollen really bothers my eyes. I'm getting circle lenses for an event that I'm going to in May. Don't worry, I've researched and am researching them and it's just for this one thing.

I've read that Patanol has a preservative in it that is bad if you're wearing contacts and so basically you're not supposed to use it with contacts. BUT what I'm not clear on is if you're just not supposed to put them in while wearing contacts OR if you're not supposed to use contacts for the period of time that you're on the eyedrops. Does anyone know this? This obviously applies to any sort of contact lens and not just circle lenses.

So the oaks bother me basically for the month of May. I live in an oak forest (go figure) but I avoid going outdoors and having open windows during that time. Little by little, year by year, my allergy has gotten a little bit better.especially if I don't rub my eyes.SO if the rule is you're not supposed to use contacts at all over the period of time that you're using the eyedrops.if I were to stop them a week before using the contacts.and resume them once I'm done using them.would that be alright? The place I'm wearing the contacts is in the city.so there's really no oak pollen at all there.so I don't think I'd have a problem not using them.and who knows.maybe I won't even need them that much this year anyways.

Where can i get contacts without a prescription?

I went to the doctor a year ago and got a prescription that was good for two years. I just tried ordering them today and the brand i was prescribed was 60$ a box for only 6 lenses. I need something more affordable! I have been wearing the same -1.00 in both eyes since i first started wearing them. I no longer have eye insurance and do not want to pay 125$ to go back and get another eye exam just to be offered cheaper lens.Is there anyway i can get a different brand without getting a new prescription?

The frames for glasses are really expensive, so to save money, I want to buy a frame from Target or something, and put lenses that are fit to my eyesight in. I need glasses desperately because I am working outdoors this summer and I can't wear my contacts.

I am nearsighted with astigmatism guy since i was 5 (i am now 17). I seldom use my glasses since I find it bothersome. I only use it during working on the computer and watching tv.

I have contact lens, but it doesn't have astigmatism correction. Just for my nearsighted. But i seldom use my contact lens too since my eyes turns red if I use it for my than 5 hours.

I noticed my mental health is affected due to:
1.poor concentration
2.poor memory
3.poor analytical thinking

I need a makeover - where to start! - 2

I'm 21, I think its time for a change as I'm not 100% happy with what I see in the mirror and I think that affects how I feel about myself quite a bit.At this age I want to be happy with myself and have worked out completely who I am, but I'm not quite there yet.So I think I need a little makeover to help me grow up a bit physically so I can help myself grow up mentally too!

I'm young looking (I Look more 17/18 than 21) and 5'3. I'm 9st 10lbs. (about 136 pounds) but im currently losing weight! I've lost nearly 28lbs and I want to lose more!

Although I have lots of clothes, nothing seems to be able to put together to create a outfit I really like.. I also have long-ish black hair but it has grown out of any style I have blue eyes and pale skin. I wear contact lenses too!

What could I do with my hair, make up, clothes? should I get a tan to give me a bit of colour, wax my eyebrows please help!

Why is my eye twitching?

My left eye lower lid had been twitching for almost a week now. I want to know the reasons. I have a healthy diet, i wear the correct eye glasses, and i sleep well, school may be a pressure though. I was also wearing daily contact lenses for like 10 days but ofcourse without sleeping with them.

Why does my mouth open when I try to open my eyes to their full extent?

I have recently started practising wearing contact lenses and I had my first appointment with the optician's today. When I tried to put the contact lenses on for the first time, my mouth automatically opened when I tried to open my eyes to their full extent. This has happened before when I went to the ophthalmologist's in a similar situation when I had to open my eyes to their maximum extent. Could someone tell me why?

14mm vs 14.5mm circle lenses?

Okay okay. I know all the stuff about circle lenses. I've been researching them for months, I know the pros and cons and risks and such.and I know that if you take care of them properly and follow the rules then you're generally safe. I would only be wearing these for maybe 3 days in a row (obviously taking them out and not wearing them for over 6 to 8 hours) and a few more times beforehand to get used to wearing them.well my point is that this would NOT be an everyday thing.

So.this is for a costume. I need my eyes to look bigger, and yes, enlarging the iris does make your eyes look bigger, and I know the black ring around a contact can add greatly to the effect. I also need the right color blue.and I found it.however the contacts are only 14mm and I was really hoping to get 14.5mm. What is the size of a normal contact usually? Is it still a circle lens at 14mm?
My eyes are already pretty big… but I need them to look even bigger! Obviously the lenses will be accompanied by makeup and false eyelashes and such.

So as you can see.my eyes can look brown from afar in darker lighting. I need my eyes to be a natural kind of blue but not too natural… a lighter blue as well. I think my iris is naturally on the larger size as well… so. I need something that's going to do good! The contacts I want are these:

Also.what would cause the contact to fold? If I have larger eyes, will they fit better than they would if I had smaller eyes? And if they're more likely to fold at 14.5mm.how is it that a lot of people can wear 15mm? I'm caucasian.like part italian, german, and irish. Apparently I have big german eyes.not blue, just the shape? I don't know if that helps at all.

As for the curve.it seems like a lot of them are 8.6mm? How do I know if a contact fits or not when I put it on?

I wear acuvue 2 contact lens, and they are very comfortable when wearing them. But I look at a computer screen, it starts to get irritated and get blurred a bit… Does anyone know why this is happening?

There's this contest on youtube called the Acuvue one day contest, where you post a video saying what your dream is.and if you're one of the winners, you fly to LA, a celebrity like Demi Lovato can mentor you and help with your dream. Tesco opticians.do they try to con me? I think so.?

I've had a visit at Tesco optician and I'm trying to get contact lenses. Ive been using contacts before, so I didn't need any lessons, how to wear them..When the measurements were taken, the optician told me about which contacts I can wear and their prices, so she ordered me a first trial pair of contacts for free. I said to my optician (at very beginning) I will not buy any contacts from them… just need the the contact lenses prescription (because I know that they wants to catch customer into trap). When my trial contacts arrived I came for next visit to fit them… When I put them I noticed that one of the lens is too big, I was feeling when the lens was moving in my eye and was scratching… I told the optician about it once I just put them in… but the optician said its normal and I have to used to it, and this is probably caused by my astigmatism or I have an infection in the eye… she checked my eye again and said that she doesn't see anything wrong and doesn't see any moves of contact lens in my eye, also my vision was good with these contacts, It was only uncomfortable for my one eye. She advised me to wear these trial pair for 2 weeks and booked next visit for me. Ok. I don't trust anyone, so when I came back home I did a research on the internet and found answer and proof that my optician lied to me. I shouldn't feel my contact lenses at all, and if I feel anything wrong I shouldn't wear them, because I can damage my eye..If the contact lens scratching the eye it can be caused by wrong size… every eye is different and thats why opticians measure eyes and order proper size of lenses… at the end of the day my eye was quite red, so I removed them, but I wanted to make an experiment… I put contact lens from my other eye (where the lens was comfortable) and I put to the eye were the contact was wrong… I just swap them and I noticed that the wrong lens scratching even my other eye, when the previous eye was feeling ok with that right lens… so I had proof that it wasn't infection..I printed out some pages of the websites where I found the right information, I didn't wait for another visit and I didn't want to wear wrong contacts, so at the same day I went to the same optician to resolve my problem, but I wanted to speak with supervisor, if they have such a unprofessional staff… The supervisor wasn't available, but the one of the staff told me when he will be available, and advised me not to wear these contacts, because it can damage my eye… So I had hope that everything will be resolved very easily… hmmm..I was wrong… because all opticians at that Tesco keep together, so they knew already that I will come with complains, and the were prepared! When I came to speak with supervisor I was waiting about 30 minutes, because they were so busy, I've been told by secretary that supervisor should come soon… ok… finally the young lady came to me and asked me what can she help me, I said I want to make a complain about unprofessional service… she replied very quickly, that she is not really supervisor and they don't have any, but she can of course speak with me about my problem… so I explained her that I'm not happy with my last visit, because I shouldn't be allowed to wear these contacts and new measurements should be taken… I was very surprised with the answer what I got! She tried to explain me that I'm wrong, and I have to give time and get used to contacts, it can't be wrong size, because it it could, the lens could be lost somewhere behind my eye, she told me that optician can't order custom made contacts, she explained that they have only limit of some sizes and they just choose which size will fit my eyes, she also told me I can have infection in my eye so I shouldn't wear any contacts then… when I said about swapping my contacts, she tried to explain that because my other lens is bigger because I have astigmatism… (Ive been wearing contacts before and had astigmatism even before but didn't feel contacts at all and was happy to wear them) she also told me, I shouldn't come with complain, because this is no one's fault, and if I feel the lens is scratching my its normal and I shouldn't be afraid to wear them, they will not damage my eye…

She took me for quick check and said everything was fine with my eyes (I wear gasses all the time) she checked also which contacts I had and said they probably weren't comfortable because it was cheaper version (for £20) and she will order another trial pair but more expensive (for £30-£40) and they should be ok, and I shouldn't feel them, and if I'll be happy with them I can buy them..(I forgot to mention, if I'll get prescription and will be happy with proper contacts I have to buy just these kind o lenses).so she ordered another trial pair of contacts, and I have another appointment for that.
Added (2). Yes, I'm paranoid.because if it is about my eyes I have right to be sure and comfortable! I don't wanna loose my vision just because of someones fault…
Added (3). I wrote this because I want to speak with someone… a lot of people can't fight about their rights and agree what someone behind desk says… if someone do health service doesn't mean he is right with everything… I had so much experience with con men… who care only about money!
Added (4). Is anyone who can share own experience here?

My contact lens turned yellow and I think it's dirty?

Hey! So I just got a pair of plain contacts with perscription. When I bought it and used it for the first time, it had a light blue tint.then months passed by and I got lazy washing my hands, etc.So I put/remove them without washing my hands first. Then I noticed that the tint became kind of yellowish.It doesn't hurt when I put them on but I'm worried that it's infected or something. Please help! Will I still continue to use them or should I buy another pair and start washing my hands everytime I handle my contacts? THANKS!

A piece of my contact lens is stuck behind my eye?

Uh, hi.so i went to a party last night and forgot to take out my contacts.

anyway my contacts were old and shitty (i know, shame on me, i should know better, whatever)

i feel asleep with them in and the next morning they hurt like hell, so i took them out… sort of.

the one came other fine, but the other got stuck and ripped.i got most of it out, but theres still a piece in there somewhere.its not in my iris anymore, i think maybe it fell under my eye or to the corner or something.

it hurts like hell, and i cant get it out.so what then?

will it like dissolve after a while, or what? should i go to the doc?

i can see, it just feels like theres something stuck in it and its driving me insane.

Is it possible to know the cause of your myopia?

Recently, a friend of mine asked me the cause of my myopia.
I don't remember the words she used, but after a few researches I think she talked of the curvature of the cornea and the refractive index of the crystalline lens.
My question is: is there a way to know which one caused your myopia? For example, is it written on your lenses prescription? Or do you have to ask an eye specialist?

I hope this is clear enough! Thank you for taking the time to read!

(Not sure if it's important, but as a child I have spend most of my nights reading with little light, so I guess it's the 'visible' cause of my myopia.)

Red veins in my eyes! HELP!

I woke up this morning and discovered red veins in my eyes, more in the left eye than the right eye.
Details:
I got monthly contact lenses yesterday (I had contacts before and I wore them for a year but stopped because I didn't order them) and I wore them for ~6.5 hours and my eyes were just normal. This morning after I washed up and put the contacts on (there was a little sting in my left eye but I thought it was due to the contact lens didn't stay nicely and so I blinked a couple times, moved the lens around a bit and the pain was gone), then started to brush my hair and I realized there were so many red veins in my left eye! I got so frightened and I took both left and right lens off right away. I didn't know if it was actually because of the sting I had when I put it on or because of lack of sleep, I couldn't sleep last night because my wisdom teeth caused a problem and ached so much.
I am wearing glasses now and I see a tiny decrease in the amount of red veins in my left eye, there are also red veins in my right eye which was not apparent this morning. I will go see an optometrist if they are still there in the afternoon.
Does anyone know why these red veins appeared? I've never had this happening to me so I am very worried right now. Terribly sorry for ranting! Any answers are great! Any comments are also welcome! THANK YOU!

Why do I experience a burning sensation on my eyes?

Why do I experience a burning sensation with my eyes followed by tears? I don't know if that makes sense. I mostly experience it after a whole day of work. I accidentally touch my eyes then the burning sensation starts.It is unbearable so I close my eyes. Then, tears follows. I stopped wearing contacts lens (Air Optix) because it's so cold in our office, my contact lens dries (I use drops but then it starts to feel uncomfortable, this is a another issue) that's why I stopped using them.
Added (1). Actually, I'm a video editor. I work 10hours facing the computer in an airconditioned room. I stopped using contact lens for now. What may be the a good remedy? Natural tears? Thanks!

Can a 3 yr old wear contacts?

My 3 yr old was born with Amblyopia in his left eye, his right eye is perfect. His cause for the Amplyopia is due to a deformed optic nerve (there is nothing to do to correct it except a corrective lens). We had him diagnosed when he was 13 months old and has progressively been getting worse.he started out as a -950 and is now at -1900. We have 3 sets of glasses and while he will wear them OCCASIONALLY it is a constant fight with him. His twin brother and older brother have no vision issues but other developmental issues which he tends to take advantage of while im busy with them (takes the glasses off and hides them etc)

I just need anyone with experience to give advice, I have been doing my very best with patching, glasses and atropine drops (to the good eye). He responds well to the atropine drops bc nothing is on his face but it doesnt really do much in correcting/helping his brain response to the 'bad' eye. I've read about contact lenses for children under the 'appropriate' age of 8 yrs old but would like opinions since I know NOTHING about them, are there long term lenses where they can be left in for long periods of time? etc.

His ophthalmologist has mentioned contact lenses but we havent really discussed further.

So to recap:

*Amblyopia in left eye, Surgery will NOT correct his bc its due to a deformed optic nerve.
*Has glasses but wont wear them for any length of time, has had them since 13 months of age.
*started out at -950 and is now -1900
*have tried patching and atropine drops

Can't put my contact lenses?

You see my problem isn't that i blink.My problem is that when i place the lense on a white side of my eye.and pull my finger out the lense comes a bit with the finger and leaves an air bubble (like when you try to put a screen protector on your phone) and since there i an air bubble i try to look at it so it will put itself but it doesn't and when i close my eye it falls.what do i doo

How to improve VERY bad eyesight?

I just turned sixteen and had been wearing eyeglasses since I was eleven.It started with -1.25/-1.50 with my first eye glass, left and right eye respectively.My grade has been worsening by -1.00 every year. Unfortunately, no, my prescription is -6.25/-7.00 for my eyeglass and -4.25/-6.00 with my contact lenses.My eyesight is killing me at times.At first I thought it was normal as one of my friends had a -4.00 to -6.00 when we were eleven. I noticed that more are wearing eyeglasses, but aren't worsening at the same rate I have. I unfortunately noticed this to late. I'm now at risk of retinal detachment, which is quite worrying as I am still quite young. I'm considering of laser eye surgery as soon as I turn of legal age in two year time but, am put off due the complaints and risks that I have came across during my research. I am very reliant on my eyesight 24/7, and I am very reluctant to remove my eyeglass even if it's just for an hour.
This horrible eyesight is a shame, I have the worst eyesight in the family. I can't really do anything without my contacts or eyeglasses. And as a martial artist, it is such a bother to even put on my contacts with how the lenses dry so fast, specially during the winter. I can't even see a few inches away without any lenses or eyeglass!
Is there any way I can improve my eyesight without spending any money?

Yesterday, my mom and I got in a argument.So she told me that I can't get contact lenses since she was mad at me. Today I asked her to reconsider since I can't see in dance class. Since we do flips and spins they fall off. I had an appointment she canceled it. Today I asked her to reconsider and she said No. You should have thought about that before the argument. This means I probably will have to drop the class which is in my school. I have it instead of PE. How much would a contact fitting exam cost with out an eye exam? I do not need my eyes to be examined since I just had that done but I do need to get fitted for contacts. I'm wondering how much that would cost at lens crafters, insurance will not cover it.

Wearing wrong prescription contact lenses?

I was wondering that if wearing a wrong prescription contact lens with an error of -0.5 is bad for my eye or not. I was in a trip last week and I broke my right eye contact lens by mistake. I had no access to any doctors there so I just used my spare left eye contact lens which is -2.25 (my right eye is -1.75).After a week I don't feel any discomfort and even I sensed an improved vision, so I'm just asking to see if there's anything wrong or not

Do i really need to throw away perfectly comfortable daily wear regular soft lenses?

They were scheduled to be thrown away on the 3rd of December last year. The expiry date is 2016, but the doc told me I'd need to get a new pair after only one year of wearing them.
I'm still using them, I have them on even as I type this question, and they are extremely comfortable and extremely clear. I've never had red eyes or pain or vision problems or anything.So then why on earth would I need to dispose off perfectly comfortable contacts? Doesn't this look like a scam? Shouldn't we keep using them for as long as they are comfortable to wear, and replace them the moment they start being uncomfortable? 'm not being cheap, I've already purchased a new pair. But the new pair is factory-sealed. Don't want to take the new pair out as long as the old pair works. Please don't be rude while answering. I don't like rude people. I respect you, and I would appreciate if you respect me. Thanks. :)

Contact Problems? Dry/sensitive eyes?

So ive had contacts for about 7 months. Honestly the best decision ive made. But theres one problem.My eyes sometimes get so irritated and or dry before and and after (so the only time there bearable is when there in) I take them off once the contact begins to dry or when i no longer need them. Sometime it feels like theres something in my eye, so when i turn my eye to the farthest left or right it hurts, if i roll them with my eyes close it feels like there still in. Ive checked each lense every time. They only problem is they stick they stick to themselves (henceforth very dry) i use Acuvue Most one day lens. Wear them from about 6am-4pm before taking them out, stretch a little longer on weekends and holidays. Any suggestion?

Freshlook colored contacts?

I bought the Freshlook Colors contacts in blue and I'll be picking them up in a couple days… My eyes are naturally blue but it's a darker blue and I wanted to try colored contacts out for fun and just to see how they look! I keep seeing reviews for them by people with brown eyes (which is stupid to me since they're so light).. I did try the demo but I want to see how they look on someone with blue eyes! Also, were they uncomfortable?

I want to change my image. Advice?

Hey, I'm 17 years old, and I'm… I'm not happy with my appearance. Yeah, I'm a teenager, so that kind of goes without saying. Now I've always wanted to change myself and lead a happier life for it, but up until now I've never been seriously determined.

I'm really determined now, and I know three key things I want to change about myself: I want to lose weight (to the point where my stomach is flat and I have thighs that don't touch when I sit with my legs too close together), I want to get braces to straighten my (already mostly straight) teeth and I want to get contact lenses. I'm just wondering if you guys think I should focus on one thing at a time or to just jump in the deep end and go for it all at once.

My parents recently asked me if I wanted contact lenses and I told them I'd consider it, so I can easily get that done, but until I lose the weight I'm concerned that the 'no glasses' look won't suit me.

We have a treadmill in the garage so I'm mainly planning to use that (as well as walking to and from the bus stop for college on weekdays which is a 30 minute round trip, and possibly half hour walks on weekends) to lose weight.Is a treadmill going to be enough? I've looked it up and I'm pretty sure that using a treadmill burns fat from all over your body, not just your legs, but could someone confirm that for me?

My little sister is getting braces soon so I think I might ask for them as well, because I really want to get them off as soon as possible, so the earlier I do it, the better, right? My little brother actually only had his braces in for 10 months, which is amazing, but it also makes me think I might not need them for long either, which makes me even more determined.

I don't really know what I'm hoping for here… just some kind, helpful advice, I guess? Thanks. :)

So this morning she woke me up at 8:00 to clean.Im not going to lie I got a bit mad. All she ever wants to do is clean.So I got up turned on the T. V and started making up my bed. If I dont get them im not going to be in the spring dance or dance team. Then I told her YOU KNOW WHAT I NEED THEM FOR! She says I dont care. You dont respect or love me I can tell. But you know what you need me more than I. need you. Then she starts screaming about the dishes about how I didnt put them in the right rack. I told her grandma did it. Then shes says Well my bad.So I got up off the chair and went to the couch. Then she says NO MORE RAP MUSIC since your pissed off. I just ignored her.So then I heard a clank. I just thought a plate hit another plate. But come to figure out the spoons fell. She came to where I was. She said YOU HEARD THAT CLANK AND YOU DIDNT EVEN COME CHECK ON ME ?! I told her I DIDNT. KNOW THE SPOONS FELL I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A PLATE HITTING ANOTHER ONE! Then she says you dont care at all. Whats her prob?

Are very thick lens glasses bad for your eyes?

Hey, just wondering if I should get the lens on my new glasses thinned down bearing in mind that it is quite expensive. Are there any real problems associated with thick lens, my eyes are -5.50 and -6.00. Thanks for any insights!

Does it sound like i have blocked tear ducts?

I have had watery eyes for ages now (months and months maybe year) and i have been on drops for dry eye because thats what doctors have said it is.but they still water.i wear contact lenses but they water even when i dont wear them and they sometimes dont water if i am indoors.but i am getting really fed up and im not sure if its blocked tear ducts…

WHen i put my drops in more often then not i blink them out or they just run out which makes me think they arent draining.

if it isnt this what could it be? If it is what can i do about it. :(

Are contact lens painful?

Im getting them today, but Im so scared. First of all, I will need to open my eyes while the doctor puts the lens in my eyes. And the worst part is that I am not comfortable with touching my eyes. If I touch my eye accidentally, I have to close that eye and massage it hard for a minute. The lens will touch my eye, though. Will it hurt? If you experienced contacts, tell me how it felt when you put them in your eye for the first time.

Contact lenses power the same for all contact lenses? - 1

My contact lens power is -2.00 for my right eye and -2.25 for my left eye. The contact brand Iuse is encore premium. If I order contacts from another brand like acuvue, is the power the same?

URGENT:Contact stuck in eye?

So recently I just woke up from taking an hour nap to realize my contacts were still in. The contact lens in my right eye came out fine yet when looking into my left eye, it seems as if there is no contact lens present. I have applied contact lubricant solution to my extremely red left eye in attempts to get it out but it just seems this deed is unachieveable. I see just as if my contact lenses were both out and cannot seem to locate the contact lens. I have tried video taping my eye and all this non sense in attempts to locate it out remove the lens but have failed. Guidance is EXTREMELY appreciated.

How long can I keep contact lenses in original packaging (jar) before opening them?

I ordered colored circle lenses online (they're just color, no prescription in either), they arrived by mail in little jars with liquid inside (each contact in separate jars). How long can I keep them in there before transferring them over to a case and cleaning solution? I just don't plan on using them just yet, I'm going to use them in about 2 weeks for a photo shoot.

Can I just leave them in the original jars?
And if so, for how long?

I haven't purchase the cleaning solution for them yet either, so I can't wear them because of that anyways. (It says not to wear them straight out of the jars, that I need to soak them in a cleaning & disinfecting solution first)
