Rgp Toric Contact lenses prescription, Can they work anywhere?

Unfortunately I lost one of my rgp contacts so Im in the need of a replacement. I found on discountcontactlenses they have rgp for a real cheap price~$40, However Im not sure if this will work for me. My prescription has Bc, Power and Diameter. Is that enough for the right fit? Im confused because the doctor charged me $500 dollar for the pair of RGP and I dont want to have to spend $250 to get a replacement from him. I also dont know why there is no cylinder value as opposed to my soft contact lenses prescription.

If I have great eyeglass lenses do I still need sunglasses or transitions lenses?

I have two sets of glasses, both are essilor 1.6 single vision 360 eyecode. One has prevencia coating and one has sapphire coating (both crizal)

Since the lens material and coatings block all uv, what benefit would having sunglasses be if I don't find my eyes sensitive to summer light.

I am using -12.5 glasses
what power lens will be inserted in my eye in cataract operation, I want to use -4, which is close to the other eye.

What do these numbers on my glasses prescription mean? Is it a really strong prescription?!

I don't think my vision is that bad, but the way the opticians were acting today made me feel like I was almost blind. They were saying I needed to pick big frames because the lenses are going to really heavy because of how strong they are. They also had to get my prescription verified by this women because it was "so strong."?

My prescription is:
Right eye: sph +2.75 cyl +2.50 axis 90.0
Left eye: sph +4.00 cyl +1.50 axis 85.0

What does all of that mean?

Compensation of curved glasses (+0,5 cylinder)?

Hello, I've ordered glasses online, about -6D for each eyes).
I see fine with my left eye, but the right one is a bit blurry, and seem to see less than with my old glasses.

An optician measured -6D (+0,5) for astigmatisme [I'm only myopic]

After I contacted the company, they told me it might come from the compensation from the curve.
Is it normal?
As a consequence, they proposed to make new lens, but this time without compensation (as they said in few cases patient may not handle the compensation).

What are the risks in term of vision issue (blur, prismatic effect?) from curved glasses without compensation?

Do i need to put daily contacts in a new solution from what it arrived in?

I've bought a pair of one day use costume contact lenses for halloween. They are packaged in sterile buffered isotonic saline but i've never worn lenses before, and was wondering if i would have to take them out and soak them in a general solution before wearing them?

I have pink eye and wore my contact lenses while I had it last time, can I use my eye drops to treat the pink eye on my contact lenses to avoind reinvesting my eye? I can't throw the lenses out because they were custom made.

Can I put my contact lenses back in after they have dried out?

I am a new contact user, so I got a bit clumsy. I was in a rush to go and I had one contact in and one out. I scooped up my other in a rush, but it fell out of my hands before I could get a grasp on it. It fell somewhere on the counter but I couldn't see it. So I tried taking my other one out so I could put my glasses on and look for it, but my other one fell somewhere on the counter where I couldn't see it as well! By this time my ride was going to leave without me so I threw on my glasses and left, I was really mad that they were lost. While I was out (for about 2 hours), my cleaning lady came and found them, I was so thankful, but they were all dried up! I put them back in the solution ASAP, and am really hoping I can wear them for the rest of the month before I throw them out. If I let them soak, will they be all right to put back in again? Help! So I had daily contact lenses and I just ran out of them, I'm gonna go the optician to get new ones tomorrow but how long will it take for her to get me some new ones? Do they have to order them in or do they just have a supply and give some to you right then?

I want to wear white contacts for halloween but I heard you had to buy solution and leave them in a case for 24 hours but then I heard you can buy them in the jar and put them in straight away, I dont know which one to do! Can you wear contact lenses over another pair of contact lenses?

I know this probably sounds stupid but can you wear one pair of contacts lenses over another? For halloween i want to wear coloured contact lenses (to make my eyes different obviously) but i have to wear glasses, i dont want to wear my glasses but i have contact lenses. And i dont know what to do, do i just put the coloured ones in and hardly be able to see where i'm going, or shall i just wear my prescribed contact lenses? Or can i wear both?

I am 23 and I got eye power now. Why did I get it so late and do i need to wear glasses?

My right eye's power is 0.75 and left eye's power is 0.50 (myopia)I don't particularly have any vision problems but my vision is much sharper and clearer with lenses on. Are glasses mandatory. Why did I get it so late? Will the power increase? And when will they stop increasing? Just curious

Other details: I had 0.25 for 4-5months when I was 18. Then it became normal

Goggles are crazy reflective inside the house?

I have some new anon m2 snow goggles. I haven't ski in years so can't remember how goggles should look. I have got the reflective lenses in not 100% shiny the ones just below. Anyway my question is should they be crazy reflective when I'm wearing them inside the house. I can see my eyes like a mirror and there is a lot a glare in the lenses along with when I look at lights bulbs the split almost like I am seeing double. Is this normal and won't happen when outside on the slopes? Thanks for any help

Why can't I clean my contact lenses?

it seems if I go a day without cleaning my contact lenses and just putting them straight into new solution they're fine but if I put them on my palm, pour solution over them and rub them, they end up dirtier than before, and when i put them in my eye the next day it's too irritated to keep in. I'm not sure why this is or if it's maybe soap still on my hands perhaps but they have dots and bits which don't seem to come off. Thanks:-)

Is it normal for my eyesight to change three times in one year?

I usually have an eye exam every October. I had one in 2013 and there weren't very many issues, the doctor only said that my prescription had changed quite a bit. Then a few months later, in March 2014 I felt a lot of discomfort with my contact lenses and my regular glasses. Went back to see my eye doctor and she told me my prescription changed again.

I had an issue with my eye doctor because in the span of two weeks I had 3 tests, each of which had a different prescription. Turns out her receptionist gave me an OLD PRESCRIPTION. Ridiculous! And I only noticed until after I had got TWO frames re-done and paid out of my pocket.

So my contacts are the right prescription, but my glasses aren't. NOW I'm starting to get headaches again when I wear my contacts and I can't see clearly. Is it normal for my eyesight to have changed this many times during one year? Does wearing the wrong prescription have anything to do with it?

The discomfort is not convenient at all. I wear my contacts at work and I'm dying to take them off by the end of my shift. Even when I'm at school, I can't wait to get home and take them off. Also I'm 22 years old (female), so it's not like I'm going through drastic bodily changes at this age.

So I really want to get cool, creepy contact lenses for Halloween but I have really bad eyesight and would need perscription contacts. FIRST TIME CONTACT LENSE USER! Colour contact lenses?

i got these colour contacts about a week ago, and I put them in today and they made my eyes really red and watery. I had only put them in once prior and only for a
couple seconds to try them on. Is this normal? Will my eyes get used to them? Or should I get rid of the contacts/switch my cleaner?

Following are the eyepower details for my eyes

Right Left

Cylinder 1.50 1.00
Axis 180 162

I couldn't find contact lenses online that match these details. Bausch and Lomb suggested lenses with a cylinder of 1.25 for my right and 0.75 for my left. I just wanted to know how much effect this difference would have in my eyesight.

How to Keep Contact Lenses Moist Overnight?

I've got a little problem with my contact lenses. I'm down to my last pair and have these contacts in now and need a way to save them for tomorrow. Got no solution or anything to preserve them in so I'm wondering if there is anything else I can put them in as a solution overnight to wear the next day. Does water or tear drops work?

Why did my circle lenses get STUCK on my eye?

I know that if you don't have the right diameter for the lenses, they will move because they don't fit you eye. But how much is it suppose to move when they do fit your eyes? For example, when you look up will they move downwards?

Oh and why did my contact get stuck on my eye? Literally stuck, I had to try and pinch it off. I was stuck on the cornea, and I thought it was going to move back to the iris, but it didn't. It just sat there, and was literally 'stuck' on my eye. I tried moving it with my finger, but it stayed still. I thought it was just the faulty lenses, so I tried it again a few minutes after with a different one. And it happened again… :( please help me, or tell me what's wrong!

Blurry vision after taking out hard contact lens?

I wear hard contact lens overnight, the ones that correct your vision. When I am wearing my right contact lens, my vision is perfect. Even when I wake up the next morning it's perfect. However, when I take my contact lens off, it is slightly blur and stays that way the entire day. My left eye is fine. Anyone know what's up?

Can I become an RAF pilot if I wear glasses?

At the moment, I'm 14 and about to have my work experience at the RAF in Odiham. I would love to be a pilot for them, but I have to wear glasses/contact lenses so I don't know if I can. I'm thinking of joining the Air Cadets too. Also, are you allowed to be a pilot if you have laser eye surgery? My vision regularly improves with every eye test (usually separated by 6 months each time).

Lenses or hypnosis for changing eye color?

Lenses are better for so many reasons, but hypnosis are for a whole life. And please, don't start with "This is bullsh*it" and "Lies", my friend changed her eye color completely with hypnosis every day for three month. But I am still not sure.
