I have distance vision number of 0.5 and near vision of 1.0 in both eyes. I work 10 hours on computer every day. Should I go for progressive lens? What are the advantages?

Actually want to know that whether progressive lens will help me in viewing my computer better or buying a seperate set of +1 specs is good for computer viewing.My optician suggested that progressive lenses have been made keeping the requirement of computer users in mind.

Contacts are really hard to get out!
Hey, guys! I just got contacts two days ago, and as you're thinking, "Oh course you're going to have trouble at first!" Well, when I was at the optometrist they told me to try to put them in and I did it fairly quickly with not much trouble, then about 30 mins later they told me to take them out and it was SUPER EASY. I put them back in pretty quick, then left.
When I tried taking them out at home, it was extremely difficult and took about an hour to get them both out of my eyes for the day. They were in there for about… 3 hours, I'd say?
Then yesterday right after school at about 4 I put them in which took about 25 minutes (I also had makeup on, making it a bit harder) then at about 1 AM I grew tired and decided to take them out for bed. I have a magnifying mirror and a chair I sat at for about 45 minutes and I couldn't get them out and grew extremely angry and upset, so I took a break and relaxed to calm myself down. Afterward, I tried again after putting a little bit of Opti-Free in my eyes which didn't help. After about 15 more minutes my brother cleaned his hands really good and tried getting them out gently, and he couldn't get them out either. Then he put a drop of Opti-Free in my eye and after 5 minutes the right side contact came out, but the left one wouldn't budge. We put 2 drops of Opti-Free in it and it just irritated my eye and made it slightly red. We put a little bit of Bio-True in the eye and the irritation went down and about 20 minutes later he got it out, we put the lenses in the Opti-Free solution in the case because Bio-True isn't a cleanser, it's just lubricant eye drops my optometrist gave me. I haven't put them in yet today, but I was wondering if I could have tips on getting them out?
Also, I have A. Oasis soft lenses if that helps. I'm kind of squeamish and touching my eyes doesn't help.e. e

I wear normal (uncolored) prescription contact lenses. I just got back home and took them off (after a long day of taking The SAT). I notice that my eye color suddenly turned lighter.It was very very dark brown before. Now it's like a lighter brown.Do u think I'm crazy or is it possible for it to change eye color? Yesterday I bought my first liquid eyeliner and decided to try it out today.
So this morning I put some on the inner ring of my eye, and the eyeliner ran onto my eyeball… and my contact lenses.
When I look there was a slight black water line on my eyeball, but after a few blinks it had gone.
I took my lenses out just now and they look perfectly normal, but I'm still anxious.

Can I use expired contact lens solution?
I have soaked my contact lenses in expired contact solution (7-8 months) in an emergency.Is it okay for me to wear the lenses next day or should I buy my regular lens solution (clear care) tomorrow and let the lenses soak in that before I wear them again?
Added (1). Clear care solution says it has 3% hydrogen peroxide. Will it properly disinfect the expired solution that I had to place my lenses in?

The second time I tried was when I got my eye exam an my eyes were so irritated from the exam I couldn't put in the contacts when they made me try so I decided to get glasses but I really want contacts! How to tell if I actually have astigmatism?
I got diagnosed with astigmatism awhile ago. Since then I have gotten Aqua Clear Toric contact lenses for astigmatism. The problem is that when I put them in they burn. Then through out some parts of the day I can feel them and it's not very pleasant. They also make keep making my eyes unfocused.It's uncomfortable since I keep trying to work but all I get is blurryness. The worst part is that since I've gotten these contacts for astigmatism my eyes have been red! All the time! I do tend to wear them for a long time but I used to do the same thing with my other contact lenses (Acuve Oasis) and they would be completely fine. I would put them in and I would completely forget about them till the end of the day.My eyes have NEVER acted like this before and I've been wearing contacts for over 5 years before this.
So I just want to know why I'm having all these problems and if they're normal.

Where can I get good colored contacts?
A lot of my friends have these cool colored contacts that they ordered and I really want to get a pair. I want to get a really dark green since everyone wants me to get that color. But the problem is I don't know any sites that sell trusted color lenses. I also don't want to spend more than $20 since all my friends paid only $15 for theirs.
So whats a good site that sells trusted color contacts and has a very nice deep green color. Please no Amazon ordering or Ebay. Anything else than those are alright. The link below shows how dark of a green I want.

I ordered contact lenses online and they sent me an email saying my package has been shipped. I noticed my address in the email was wrong.correct city and zip code just wrong house number…
i called USPS but the lady who answered didn't seem to understand me and she said nothing could be done.

I just got my contacts on Saturday… I put them in again on monday for about 20 seconds but they felt funny so I took them out…
I just put them in a couple of minute ago and they feel very strange! I can feel them on my eye and I can feel them touching my bottom lid.It feels like they are moving around on my eye, actually… if I blink to quickly or if I look down it would be a little blurry…
Is this normal? Its not because the contacts have crinkles or anything because I already took them out and put them back in.
I put them in and rolled my eyes twice, looked down, closed my eye and gently pressed on my eyelid…
It almost feels like they are too big?

I was just wondering… If someone died while wearing their contact lenses, what would be the standard procedure? would they do a check in the morgue and get someone to take them out, or would they just bury/cremate the person with them in?

Being able to read line 8 on the Snellen Eye Chart?
So I recently got glasses and I was trying to test them out using the Snellen Eye Chart. They say that at 20 feet, you should be able to read line 8 to be considered normal. I tried this out, and while I was able to say what the letters are correctly, I didn't say them because I could CLEARLY see what letters they were. I could make out the basic shapes to know what letter it is, but otherwise I can't see distinct edges, especially on the inside. For example, I can't clearly see the "middle line" in the letter "E". The middle line is shorter as a result of the font that the chart uses, so the line is almost invisible to me at 20 feet. I can also tell when I'm looking at the letter "F" and not simply an enlarged "r" just because I know the chart is all capital letters.
Is this normal or do I need to have my eye doctor reassess the lenses for my glasses?

How long do non prescription contact lenses last?
I have some contact lenses that I haven't put on in about a year. They're still soaking in the solution and I last changed the solution about a month ago. Are they still safe to wear? and again, they are not the prescription lenses for better eyesight.

How much freedom should an 11 year old girl have?
1) should an 11 year old get to wear and earrings they want
2)should they have there room to themselfs
3) should they be aloud to dye there hair and do any hairstyles they want (including letting there hair down (for school)
4) get to wear any clothes they want (like all there clothes are approved but church clothes cant be worn for school)
5) should they have the choice to wear contact lens
6) should they be aloud to paint there nails and grow them anytime

Different prescription for different contacts brand?
I used to wear dailies and my prescription there were -2.25 and -1.75, then I changed to biofinity and my eye doctor gave me -2.25 and -1.50? Why? Is it different for each brand?

What kind of circle lenses make your eyes look bigger?
I know all circle lenses do, but which are the most effective? There are ones with the dark circle around them and whatnot. But I do want them to look natural. I have naturally blue eyes. Green ones would be nice, but I like blue!

Do I really need glasses?
My eyes have been burning recently whenever I am in my office probably because I stare at my computer for up to 10-11 hours per day. After a while of this i got my eyes checked and the doctor said I am far sighted in one eye and near sighted in another.
My prescription is +25 and -75… and the doctor recommened anti reflective lenses. I've heard that the perceriptions values (+25, -75) mean my eyes are not that bad, so is it really worth it to spend money on a pair of glasses in the hopes that it will reduce or eliminate the burning in my eyes?

Ortho k lens stopped working?
I will not explain what orthokeratology is, because I'm assuming the people answering the question already know about it. What help would a person who knew nothing about it give?

Anyways one day with my contacts on in bed I closed my left and right eyes and one of them seemed like the books were blurrier. The nights after that, it looked the same, so I just dismissed it.
And then today… in my last period class, the board looked kind of blurry. I put my contacts on for around an hour or two, then took them off, hoping that it would go back to normal vision. A little difference after I took it off but they were still blurry. I'm wearing it now, in hope that extra time would help.

I'm not sure if it is the same regular myopia ortho k lens they are talking about or not, but do you think the reason is because my myopia has increased? or the lens got steeper? or is it overnight decentration? or back surface deposits? I have no clue. I haven't had an eye appointment in a long time, so I want to go this weekend. Please share your thoughts though. Hi there, I need some help with this. I'm looking to see if someone can help me to convert my glasses prescription to contact lens. Here's what I got on my rx
Dist. Sphere OD -1.50, OS -1.75
For Cylinder, Axis, Prism1, and Prism2 I have 0.00 for all of them
ADD OD and OS +0.00 for both
PD Distance OD and OS 33.5 and Near OD and OS 31.5
If someone can please help me with this.

Why do they call it multi-purpose solution?
As all wearers of soft contact lenses know, you need multipurpose solution for your contact lenses. But the only purpose indicated on the label (and the only reason anyone would purchase it) is to clean/store your contact lenses.So why is it called "multipurpose solution"? New contact lens wearer.my right eye hurts when I wear contacts?
I got my contacts Saturday for the first time.As of today, my left eye is fine when I wear my contacts, but my right eye feels like there's an eyelash hitting the top of my eye? Like the upper whites of my eye. I tried using eye drops, and my right eye is okay for awhile and then gets uncomfortable again. Should I wait a week and then see my eye doctor? Do you think the size of my contact is what's wrong or maybe the brand? Also, generally speaking, do I have to pay to see my doctor if my contacts are bothering me? Thanks!

Do contact lenses work?
I was wondering because I'm tired of glasses I've had glasses since i was about 6 or 7 and now it's really annoying. When ever i play or get into a fight they can break or bend or get knocked lose. T's even more embarrassing when you fight and someone just barely taps you on the face they fly off. If they do work I'm getting some.

Contacts irritation new?
Today i got contacts for the first time. I dont know what kind they are, but i know they aren't the soft kind. I love them. But while my right eye cant feel the lens on, my left eye can feel it. I dont know if theres something under it or the way my eye is shaped or the shape of the lens? But i took it out and washed it but i still feel it. Its not unberae, but i dont like the feeling of it. But my right eye is fine. What could be causing this irritation?
also, should i get soft lenses? Whats the difference?

Contact lens discomfort?
On Monday I put a new contact lenses in my eyes. The left one felt like knives stabbing my eye and hot. I took it out after about an hour. Its the third day now and I can put it in, but I feel it there, so I take it out (doesn't hurt anymore I just feel the contact lens in my eye). Could this be a corneal abrasion? how long will it take to heal?

Ulcerated cornea/ surgery on eye?
I have been diagnosed with an ulcerated cornea not quite a month ago and I have been doing very strong antibiotic eye drops. I was told I have to get a cornea transplant. What will that be like? How is it going to correct my eye sight? Does it hurt after? sorry I'm not to familiar with surgery, I have never had one. BTW I ulcerated my cornea by Contact Lenses

Are my contact lenses safe to wear after falling into food?
I was eating and after I was already done my contact lens fell out into the container I was eating out of. The container had bits of food pieces and grease and stuff left in the container. I rinse the contacts off in water palm rub them under the water and rubbed them with the solution multiple times then left them to soak in the case with fresh solution are they still safe to wear

Wearing eye lenses for a long time?
I never went to a party with eye lenses, I always go with glasses. But I want to try going with lenses on. The problem is that party will be whole night till the early morning and I'm pretty sure that my eyes will get dry and I will have that sandy feeling in my eyes. What could you suggest me?

SHAMPOO AND EYELINER ON MY CONTACT LENSES!
OMG so I just had a shower, and because I am very wary and cautious of the risks of showering with contact lenses on, I take them off and place them in their cases with solution in while I'm in the shower.
So today, I had eyeliner on the really thick black one (with kajol so like really inky) and then when i took my contacts off to place them in the case, the left contact came out with a bit of the black inky eyeliner on it! Me being a cautiounous freak am really really worried about what this might do to my lenses and my eyes if I were to put them again into my eyes (my lenses are monthly disposables by the way [CooperVision Biofinity to be exact] ) Not only this, but the black ink got smeared all over my left contact lense cases and so I was freaking out about this as well, but then I just used my fingers and lens solution to scrub the black ink out of the case (is this safe???)
And to add to this, because I was so worked up about the black ink on my contacts, I washed my hands with soap and rushedly wiped my hands but didn't realise that I hadn't wiped them properly! So when I took my contacts into the palm of my left hand and started to do the disinfecting procedure(you know rub in circular motion with finger) the solution rubbed off onto my hand (obviously) and the soap that hadn't been washed off seeped into my contact lenses!!! ARGHHH I am super frustrated now and don't know what I should do!
Right now, I'm wearing my spare pair of glasses (thank god i had them!) but what ive done is just put my two contacts in their cases with new multipurpose contact solution and am going to leave them in overnight until the black eyeliner ink and soap go away from both contacts hopefully!
Does this seem like a legitimate thing to do, or should I do something more to reduce the chances of infection to the contacts???

I've read the description for both lenses on the Coopervision website and it seems that apparently the Biofinity lenses allow more oxygen to pass through and that you're allowed to wear them for 7 days straight! (Something that my optometrist didn't inform me about O. o ) but I am quite sure that the water content for the Biofinity is much lower than the CooperVision Proclear. The Biofinity is also made out of silicone hydrogel(what effect does this have?), but I'm not too sure about what the Proclear is made of?
Well, so before the optometrist gave me these Biofinity trials, he gave me the Air Optix lenses, which made my eyes get dry quite fast. He said that apparently the Biofinity lenses allow my eyes to stay moist and comfortable, but it doesn't make sense because the Proclear has very high water content! (more than 60% )
I wouldn't need to make a fuss because I love the Biofinity lenses since they are much more comfortable than the Air Optix Aqua for my eyes, however the Proclear is much more cheap and my mum is only willing to get me Proclear if I'm going to change to contacts permanently! ><

Thinking of changing to contacts soon for everyday wear?

Ok, so I've been wearing glasses since fifth grade and they've been fine, but you know now that I think about it, I'm in year 9 now, I'm thinking: why not change to contacts? i've heard that it gives better peripheral vision, easier to play sports (convenient for me).So now Ive been on trial for monthly lenses and todays around my 6th day wearing them. I really do like them much better than glasses, but now that I look back on a typical day out of these six days, I realise that I have actually been wearing them from 6:30 am until 10pm daily.At first I thought everyone wears contacts like this right?
But then I've read some answers about how long you should be wearing them and people are saying that 8-10 hours is the max! How is this possible though? Why aren't I allowed to wear it for a full day like I would with my glasses? Ok, I know the answer to that-because it doesn't allow a great flow of oxygen to my eyes, but I was just frustrated upon reading that answer, because my optometrist has not advised me of a maximum time that I must wear them until I have to remove them again!
SO, my question is: To the people who don't have a spare pair of glasses handy after the 8-10 hours of contact lenses wearing, what do you guys do? Do you just leave your contacts in regardless of time limit? If so, have there been any noticeable side effects or comments made by your optometrist on the latest checkup?
I started to get worried because occassionally my left eye would feel like its been straining both when I have my contacts in my eyes and when I take them out! My eyes never used to strain before these trial contacts, so i dont know whats wrong. Don't answer saying that my eyes needed to adjust progressively to the contacts(wearing them 1 hour first day, then 2 hrs next day etc) because I was wearing one day daily disposables before I got the monthlies trial and nothing seemed to happen back then!

My eyes never used to strain before these trial contacts, so i dont know whats wrong. Don't answer saying that my eyes needed to adjust progressively to the contacts(wearing them 1 hour first day, then 2 hrs next day etc) because I was wearing one day daily disposables before I got the monthlies trial and nothing seemed to happen back then!

Why are screens are blurry with contact lenses?
I am 15 years old and I just got a trial pair contacts a day ago and everything seems to be fine with them except for looking at screens like computer screens, phones, etc.(TV's seem to be okay for some reason). The screen is really blurry and I can't seem to be able to focus on it. Everything else including reading books seem to be fine though. Also I have found that covering up one eye or making binocular shapes with my hands and looking through those at my computer seems to help me focus on the screen and not blur up. I know it's not a problem with me not blinking enough cause I have a tendency to blink often.Is this because I just started up on my contacts or is it because of the brand (which I have no idea what brand the trial pairs are). Also I have astigmatism in one eye but I don't think that's the problem.
Added (1). My doctor show me that my astigmitism hasn't changed at all since my last check-up and that it stayed at a 1.00(I have on idea what that number means and don't remember if it was positive or negative).

I have terrible undereye circles.It's like a purple bruise line under each eye. I'm 16 and have had glasses for 4 years but tomorrow I'm getting contact lenses.My glasses kind of hid my circles, and I used GOSH concealer, it wasn't brilliant - it was okay. Please give me some names of good drugstore (fairly cheap) concealers that will completely hide my circles? I have fair skin, not dry just normal, no freckles, if any of that helps. I don't want to look like a zombie without my glasses!

Whats wrong with my eyes lately?
I've worn disposable contacts since I was 16. The acuvue oasis brand. I am 26 now and recently I have been having terrible problems. I accidentally fell asleep with them in last night.So I took them out and rinsed them off and put them back in for the day. I have done this before with no problems. Now all day it has felt like sand in my eye and all this stringy off white goo has been coming out. After I pull the goo out my eye will feel better for about 20 minutes until my eye makes more good that hurts my eye. Its like sleepy before it hardens. I had to take my contacts out because they kept sticking to my eyelid and going up into my eye.Is this from dryness? Its not pink eye cause it doesn't itch and my eye is not pink. I kept putting the contact solution in my eye to see if I could wash whatever was in there out but now it just hurts more. HELP!

Hard Lens contacts - People say the way I stare or look at things are awkward?
So I have hard lens contacts, when I first got them, my mom was asking why I look at things or stare or blink so different? Like I'll move my eyes to an extent but not all the way because it feels like my contacts will move it's position if I moved my eyes to a complete angle, so I kind of move my head with it too. Any people the same way?

I went to get an eye exam today at Walmart to get contact lens since I already got eye glasses past feb so the exam for eye/glasses / contact 110 and since its my 1st time for contact they will teach me total cost 130 was an other fee of 35. If I wanted him to check for headache / diabeties / flashes/floaters which from my previous eye check the doctor says I had vistreous detachment on my right eye and that was nothing to worry about but since I worry too much plus I got tired of wearing glasses I wanted to get contact, any who the doctor start doing the exam at the end he said that he couldn't see deep all he said that I have vistreous detachment/ rectinal detachment and also that I may have katarat i freaked out and i start crying cause first i dont want to be blind and i dont have insurance in case i need surgery he called an eye specialist I have an appointment tomorrow. I don't know what to think anymore the 1st dr said that I shouldn't worry about that vistreous detachment now this one say I have to see an eye specialist god knows what the tomorrow one will say I'm so worried Plz anyone went tru this before? Plz pray that I don't need a surgery and my eye is fine plz :''(

How to stop blinking while putting in contacts?
Hi, i'm curious about how to stop blinking while putting on contacts.
i went to the optician's on friday, and i was able to put both contacts in and out of my eye once.but it took 1 hour and 20 minutes because i kept on blinking.
i have to look at the contact with the method that she's teaching me, and i can open my eye wide enough, but whenever it's just about to touch my eye i seem to lose control of my upper eyelashes and blink.
do you have any tips or ways that i can keep a stronger hold on my lashes? i think i'm going back tomorrow, but i have to get the lenses in and out of my eyes three times before i'm allowed to keep them.

I have noticed that I don't see quite as well with my new contacts (-1.25) as with my glasses. I will not be going for another eye exam. I am considering just ordering a more powerful pair (-1.5) to see if they work. Anyone have any experience with this?

I do a lot of photoshoots, mostly horror oriented. I have astigmatism (football shaped eye) and am probably going to purchase some sclera contacts. They are the ones that are normally just black and the entire face of your eye.Is it safe for me to wear them for a few hours?

Over 50's trying out contact lenses?
I am female, mid 50's and have tried to come to grips with contact lenses which has taken over a year, just taking my time to try to put trial ones in now and then with some difficulty and gentle coaching. This hasn't been often, only every few months have I given it a go and managed to get them in and out and same again. However I've developed mild blepheritis recently and I think perhaps they're not for me really now (perhaps). Just using one drop of Johnson's baby shampoo and cooled boiled water in an eye bath for a few seconds daily. Doc says too it's linked to rosecea that I've always had. Think the few trials I've done now'n then have probably triggered this. I've been told an anti-biotic cream or tablets might be in order (don't fancy tablets as not too keen on taking them for such a thing unless really necessary). I'm hoping that this will eventually settle down - just feels sometimes like a mild lash in the eye and almost feels like going across to other eye. Hope it goes away and now thinking the lenses not for me really (may have been a little fool-hardy to try but I did think it was worth it just to try circa 18 months ago). I wonder if there are any others who've got blepheritis (hormonal condition type of this due to age I'm told) and how it all pans out.It's a little uncomfortable and it'd be good to hear someone who knows about such things saying that it'll settle down. Does violet eye color really exist?
Do you think violet eye color truly exists? I'm talking about natural eye color of course, NOT contact lens; and I'm not talking about violet as in due to light refraction or a variant of dark blue color, but a real solid violet/purple color. Could there be such color for human eyes?

I also once read on the internet that violet eye color can be found among people who live in the high altitude areas of Kashmir, Afghanistan and Hungary, but so far I haven't found any articles, literature or pictures to proof that statement.
So I'm wondering, is there such thing as violet/purple eye color? Has anyone here ever met people with 100% real violet/purple eye color? Do you think such color may exist on human's eyes? And for those of you who say that violet/purple eye color DOES exist, could you please provide me with your source or pics? Thanks!

How bad are my new lenses going to look?
I'm 17 and I wear glasses with -8.50 and -8.00 lenses. I just got a new prescription, -10.50 and -10.00. I don't know anyone with that strong a prescription. What should I expect? My old glasses look pretty strong -- small eyes, rings around the edge of the lenses, etc. How different are the new ones going to be?

Getting contact lenses. Tips?
I'm 13, and I've had glasses a long time now. I'm a myopic chihuahua (anyone who gets that is awesome).My vision is 20/90. I'm getting contacts this January, and I'm excited about it, but do you have any tips on use? Do they hurt to put on? Do they completely fix your vision, or only partially? Can they ever injure your eyes? Are they as good with sports as advertised? I love skiing, so that would rock for me. I've destroyed pairs of glasses skiing: L. Thanks in advance!

Colored Contacts power?
Im buying some colored contacts and im wondering,
When they ask the quesion: how much power?: im wondering how much power i will need if i want to have green eyes, but naturally i have dark brown, should i use the highest power? is its power scale one that has 8 as the highest, 0 the lowest, or vice versa?
Please help!

Are fake glasses bad for my eyes?
I got some cheap fake glasses on sale at Claires, They have plastic lenses. Would they hurt my eyes if I wear them everyday. Sometimes they do hurt my eyes after a while but would they affect my eyes much in the long run to wear them everyday. Thanks

Pain in my right eye and cannot open it?
I woke up this morning and had a very bad pain in my right eye. I wear contact lenses. I occasionally wear them to sleep and have had no problems with that for 2 years.
I woke up and it was very hard to open my right eye. I took my contacts out but because it was hard to open my eyes and think I made it worse by sort of scratching it, but i'm not sure. Anyway it's been like this for 2 hours now.It's all red and gets watery every time i try to open my eyes. What's wrong and what's the remedy??? can't visit a doctor.

When I held her glasses over my own, things looked much clearer.So I thought I needed -9.75 and -9.25 glasses. I couldn't get an appointment at my own eye doctor for a month, so my mom took me to a place that has walk-in exams. I'm shocked at the prescription I got. -10.50 and -10.00.Is this possible in 1 year?

i have tan skin and dark long hair with curvy but slim body.
i think i look good ok and he makes me feel that too.
anyway, when we see a movie together he seems to like the blondes in it, or like when he talks abt some movie he usually describe the girl to me as, 'she has beautiful blonde hair with pretty green or blue eyes, etc '', i know he says it in an innocent way, not to tease me, but it makes me feel that he believes blondes are better.

Have I ruined my Circle Lenses?
Ive had very bad and sore eyes for several months and stopped wearing my lenses meaning I rarely remembered to change the solution. Three months at most was the longest they stayed in the soluion without it being changed.
Would this ruin the lenses or can they be left for this long?
Dont preech to me about how stupid it is because I know, but when you dont wear them then you forget about them.
They are Geo lenses and I use opti-free replenish.

How to convince my parents to get contact lenses? - 1
I've had glasses since 5th grade and now that i'm in 11th grade, I think it's time for contacts. I never actually wore my glasses because I don't like them.My vision is just getting worst.My optometrist says that I should get contacts if I don't wear my glasses. He wanted to schedule an appointment for contact lens fitting but my parents said they would think about it. When we were right outside, they straight out told me no because I have my glasses. They say that 200$ for a lens fitting is too much. They also say that I am not responsible enough and I wouldn't take care of them. I thought it over and I came to a conclusion that i'd pay for them. I have a pair of Beats headphones i'm willing to return so I can get more money.So in total I have $250. I saw that a contact lens fitting was $90 at Costco. That's were I plan to get them. People tell me they are cheap there.So my question is how do I convince them to take me to get contacts and get them to understand that I am responsible?

It's because I just gave myself a manicure, then washed my hands. I did this AFTER I took out my lenses, by the way. But then this hit me. I love nail polish, but I'm super paranoid about eye infections.So is it safe to handle contacts while wearing nail polish? Yes, my nail polish is dry.

Getting Thick Glasses?
I have glasses in order right now being made. I recieved the reciept in the mail specifically stating that my prescription is -5.25 and -5.00 with 15 prism each eye base out making a total of 30 prism. The lenses that are ordered are 1.53 index. How thick will my glasses be? What will they look like? What can I expect? Any suggestions or advice?
