I like the doctor at Walmart better than the other doctors, is this bad?

All of the other eye doctors rip me off and tell me a smaller price before I go, the charge me for stuff that's not covered in my insurance. One time it cost me Luke $600 for an eye exam and contact fitting Nd I didn't even buy any contact lenses.

Prom is almost here and I don t know if I should go?

Well "almost" is at the end of the year, but my parents have to pay this next month and I have to buy the dress now too if I were to go, to pay cheaper and (if I buy online) give it time to arrive.

But I m not sure I want it. I know that whatever my choice is, I don t want to regret. I have plans for next year like a car and stuff like that, but even if my dad gives me the prom and the car (which he is very likely to do) I don t really like the people at my school. I changed countries, so I changed friends and cultures and I don t really enjoy the people here cause they are so messy and lazy… Not sure the party would be good.

But above all that, cause I could ignore everyone else and just spend the night dancing with my friends… I feel ugly as ****.

Mainly because I started wearing braces last year (a bit late) and now my dentist doesn t seem to want to get it out… I really don t want to go to prom when everyone is smiling and I can t because I feel so ugly. I wear contact lenses and I suddenly started having problems with it, so like I can t wear them without getting my eyes all red (already been to a doctor). And my body… Idk. Even though I m skinny and I it doesn t look that bad (there are worse) I don t feel "sexy" enough with it to go to prom.

I don t know what to do!

Why aren't my eyes comfortable with contact lenses on?

So for christmas I got these cool purple contacts I wanted. I had never used contacts before these so I was a little nervous, but I figured if anything I could just take them out. I can get them in and out of my eyes fairly easily, but I can't keep them in to save my life. Everytime they go in my eyes just get really watery and red and I cant keep the eye open for more than a second or two. It's something on your eye so obviously you should be able to feel it. But its so uncomfortable, it just feels like an eyelash on my eye and I cant stand to leave them in for more than 90 seconds or so, my question is why. Why is it so easy and comfortable for other peopl? Am I not doing something I should be or vice versa? Anyone else ever had this problem?

Is my astigmatism too strong for just wearing normal circle lenses?

My prescription is as follows:
Right: 8.7 14.5 -4.00/-0.75x180
Left: 8.7 14.5 -6.50/-1.25x180

Can I just wear normal plano circle lenses and my glasses on top if I can't wear normal circle lenses with my prescription?

I'd like to avoid buying toric lenses because I can't find the style that I want as toric lenses.

Is it normal for eyes to get red when having difficulty taking out contact lens?

I had some difficulty getting out my contacts, but is it normal for the eyes to get red when taking them out? Their not severely red, but more on the mild side. And my right eye is a bit itchy.

Can I join the military with my vision? - 1

I had the lens in my left eye removed as a baby, and wear a contact and glasses to correct that to 20/40. I have a 3.0 astigmatism in my right eye and the glasses correct that to 20/20. Am I eligible.

Eye glasses are making me sick even though i have worn them for years?

I am no stranger to glasses I have worn them for around 16 years. The pair I have are around 5 years old. I see an Ophthalmologist every few months and since my prescription has not changed and I have no vision insurance I have kept them. They make my eyes feel tight and almost zoomed in. I have an astigmatism and I was wondering if maybe since the Ophthalmologist says the lenses are correct that it could be the curve of the lenses causing me this hassle. When I put them on my eyes feel like golf balls and everything seems far away or a bit too vivid if that makes sense. It is wreaking havoc on my eyeballs but I cannot afford new ones if I am not sure these are the problem. Could it be the curve of the lenses?

How should I act around this medical secretary at my nutrition clinic?

Today, I went to my appt. The woman at the desk was (I struggle to describe) having a look that I have never seen before. She was a light skin, perhaps, Trinadadian woman. She had this tattoo all around filled up to her neck, vampire circle contact lenses, bleach blond hair that was well manicured in to a 1940's hair doo; vasoline curl down the side at her temples. Her make up was so thick like the kind you use to cover tattoos, rouge on her cheeks, and outline lips, pronounced eyeliner.

She looks like a cross between Barbie, meets beauty guru, hip-hop, meets 1940's Charlston chick.

It just looked so different. I wanted to stare but it was obvious that I was avoiding to stare. Obviously I need to talk to her and I kept looking at the ceiling when talking to her. It was obvious that I was uncomfortable and weird, i'm sure.

How do I get comfortable around someone like that. I got nervous and started shaking. It waas the weirdest feeling ever.

any advice?

Are Navy SEALs allowed to wear contacts?

I've always been truly captivated by the Navy SEALs, even when I was a child, and I aspire to be one of them. I've been working tirelessly to perfect myself mentally and physically, but I'm near sighted, and wear contact lenses.

With my contacts, I'm about 20/30 in each eye. Without, I'm about 20/40. I've read that the minimum requirement was 20/40 in your best eye, but would I be allowed to wear contacts? Or would I have to resort to surgery in order to keep my 20/30?
Added (1). Jeeper-peeper- Yes, I'm sure I'm not 20/400, because that would mean that I can only see things that normal people can see at 400 feet at 20 feet. That would mean that I'm blind. Again, my contacts are just to help with my near-sightedness. I'm only going by what I saw with and without my contacts.
