Does wearing extremely thick lenses cause any visual issues or is it only a cosmetic problem?

My girlfriend has a high prescription in both eyes and she chose to get oversize aviators with the cheapest lenses as her backup glasses. The lenses must be close to an inch thick.

Will she be able to see out of these when she needs to or will the distortion be too much to handle?

Is it okay to wear only one contact lense?

I have really bad vision and I've been using overnight contact lenses. I'm pretty sure that I have a corneal abrasion in my right eye and from what I'm told, you aren't supposed to wear contacts until it's fully healed. The problem is that contacts are my only means of clear vision, I don't have any prescription glasses. I'm really busy for this whole week so I can't visit my eye doctor until next Saturday or Monday. What should I do?

I've recently been diagnosed with Keratoconus and have a corneal hydrop, I really don't know what to do?

I'm 17 years old, and I had Keratconus for months now, but recently my left eye became inflammed, red and watery. I ignored it thinking it was pink eye but when my dad took me to the ER prior to seeing a gray spot on my pupil, they prescribed my eye drops that I really hate doing by myself and said it'll be better in two weeks.

I work and have school and the hydrops is disgusting to look at, should I patch it up or try contact lens?
