Can I wear my contact lenses if i have a stye in my eye?

My doctor recommends that I avoid wearing makeup and contact lenses, and wear glasses instead. However, I can't find my glasses and they're from a long time ago and barely my prescription. I don't have any other option but to go without anything, and my eyesight is very bad. Can I still wear contacts and allow my stye to heal? I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I absolutely have to be able to see well. The stye is horrible… It's on the inside of my eye, hurts lot, and my eye has swelled so much that it looks terrible? I've already applied baby shampoo to clean bacteria and used warm compresses, but are there any ways to heal styes overnight? I've even tried the old wives tale of rubbing a gold ring, but nothing's worked so far:(
Added (1). I wear daily contact lenses, if that helps
Added (2). Also, I've had the stye for two days and no progress so far… I've been continually applying hot compresses… The swelling did reduce for a while (not pain though), but this morning it was as swollen and as painful as before. My doctor says it can last for weeks… I don't want it to ruin my vacation:(

There was something very bad
In between us
Causing us
To separate

Berate me not
The love was real
I still feel it
In the depths, I feel

Catering 2 you
I would continue to do
But that was not the plan

Separated we must be
But tomorrow nite
I see you in my dream

Sometimes we hold hands
Its as if we were never apart,
Kisses all over
My starcrossedlover's face

Red with beauty is your stained cheek
From the inside out your heart bleed, for me…

Like rain is my kisses
Like doves is my love
Like sand do I cover thee
My lips wet like snow
Melted onto a rose

Every part of you has not gone unseen
I remember everything
Like it were a dream.

There isn't a cold of your body nor of your heart
That my lens has not seen

There's not a mark or mole
Left hidden
There's no darkness in your eyes

Those shining orbs
I will never un-see

Your future is on my heart like tea leaves in the sea
Your destiny etched on my legs by my fingertips
And a cave I can never go into
The darkest part of you
Is saved for your new lover your one and only spouse
Added (1). Thrust away thine prying eyes
For no can see no more
Feel no more of your guts
Taste no more of your tongue and breath
Hear no more of any if this

I will never see your face again
I will never bear this pain again
This unique sound
Is mine forever to keep
Unreplicable
Added (2). This song will I never sing aloud
This painting I will never compose
This river I will never sail

My favorite person, I told thee
Your favorite line
My favorite joke
Our favorite time

A sharing
A lack of interest
A depth of conversation

The day on the porch
A new night a new time a new way
The day in your arms
A kiss on his cheek
My heart on my sleeve
My kisses all over his face
My hands gripping his waist
My heart mush because he's near?
My thanks to God for this gift.

Do toric lenses still work if you have macular degeneration?

My grandma is getting eye surgery for astigmatism. She is trying to decide between standard lenses and toric lenses. She's heard great things about the toric lenses, but she also has macular degeneration and the doctor says the toric lenses might not work as well or for as long as it would for others because of the macular degeneration. Anyone have any experience with macular degeneration and toric lenses?

Thank you!

How much can you wear contact lenses?

I just wear mine when i'm going to work or out shopping. I take them out as soon as I get home or if i'm not going anywhere I just leave my glasses on. Is that too much?

I got prescription contact lens and vision on both isn't the same. Is this normal?

so i recently got contact lenses at vision works and the first time i noticed vision on my right eye was weaker than my left contact and it made my whole vision in general look very weird. I went back and told them about it and they performed another eye exam and changed my contact but it came out pretty much the same. They said it is the best they can do and they can only go with the closest power… I hate the blurryness in my right eye. Was my eye doctor right at giving me contacts like this?

Left eye turns red the moment I insert a contact lens?

I've been using the same lenses for years. From the last one week or so, the moment i insert the lenses, my left eye turns very very red- as if I'm on some drugs. The rights eye does not have this problem and stays white.

The left eye loses the redness (becomes normal) within 10 minutes after lens insertion, and the redness does not re-appear for the rest of the day.

Is this dangerous? Do I need to see my optometrist for this?

MAJOR trouble putting contacts in! I've read every blog about putting in contacts and I haven't found a technique that works for me yet

So I've had soft contact lenses for three years now (I'm 14), and my mom has always put them in. I'm super blind for my age (-6). I tried putting them in myself for about a week when I first got them, and eventually my mom tried, and she was able to get them in after about a half an hour of trying (for one eye). Now, she can put them in in one to three tries, so it works pretty well. I don't wear my contacts every day, but I wear them for athletics and performances. Every summer since I have had them, I decided that I would learn to put them in myself, but no matter how much I try, my blink reflex is too powerful, and I can never get them in! My guess is that I've spent a combined amount of time of a week in my life trying to put my contacts in…

Please don't tell me to "keep trying" or "look up, down, left, or right" or "focus on something else" or "relax" because I've heard all the common responses. I've read every blog and page about putting in contacts and I haven't found a technique that works for me yet.

Please, please, please help me! It's really embarrassing that I can't put my contacts in at 14 having had them for three years! My friends who just got them this year can! I need major help!

Can I wear a 3.50 pwr contacts lens when I'm prescribed 3.25?

My last contact fell out of my left eye into dirt today.

My prescriptions are 3.25 left 3.50 right

I have two 3.50 pwr unused lenses left.

Is it safe to wear 3.50 in my left eye? (left eye 3.25 prescription) my new contacts won't come in for another 3 or 4 days and glasses give me major headaches.

Will it damage my left eye or make my vision weird?
