Where could I get cosplay contacts for an astigmatism?
I have an astigmatism in one eye. I've heard that I can't wear normal contacts because of that. I've found some websites that I'd want to buy contacts from, but I'm afraid to get them in case they hurt my eye.Do you know anywhere I can get contacts in vibrant cosplay colors and they still be safe for my eye? And is there anyway I could wear normal lenses?

I'm having trouble with contact lenses?
So… I went to my contact try out and basically I had one hour, the lady helping me put them both in for me, it took a few attempts but she got them in and my eyes watered just a bit and then she said right lets practice taking them out! So I took about half an hour trying to take out the one into right eye cuz I'm right handed and I eventually done it but I couldn't do the left one so she had to do it for me cuz we ran out of time! The left one was harder for some reson and don't no why any tips???

Contact Lens Solution Recommendation?
I have used three different brands of contact solution. I used Opti Free Replenish, Opti Free Puremoist, and Biotrue. I really liked Puremoist and Biotrue. I wanted to try different brands and so I switched a lot. Now I'm currently using Biotrue and I'm thinking of ReNu Fresh. Because it has 12oz, more than Opti Free and Biotrue. They both only have 10oz. Plus ReNu Fresh is a bit cheaper, too! But I've heard that ReNu can sting the eyes sometime. What about ReNu Sensitive? Plus Complete, too! They all have 12oz. Which one I should buy? I want to buy 12oz so I can use it a bit longer, plus most of them are cheap. What do you think, in your experience. Should I buy the new ones or stick with the old ones like Biotrue and Opti Free? I used soft contact lenses. Forgot to mention that, sorry people.So, what's good for soft contact lenses? Thank You.

Can you be long AND short sighted?
I'm short sighted and have been for nearly 10 years but recently I've noticed that I'm struggling to read things up close without my glasses even though they are not designed for reading. Right now my face is about 30 cms away from the computer screen and the text I'm typing is blurry. I can just about make it out.
I wear contact lenses A LOT, is it possible that these are causing blurred vision rather than me being long sighted as well as short?

Hi.
I'm 16 and got my contact lenses at the 9th of Jan 2013. They told me how to wear them and I was fine. I've been sick since Monday and I've been told I can't wear them when sick. Now I'm still blocked nose and coughing but I wanted to go to school and I couldn't wear them.My eyes went sore 2 seconds before I put them so I couldn't dare putting them. They also told me I need to switch the special liquid I out them in when not in use everyday but I couldn't because I was sick do they stayed in the case with the same liquid for a few days.Is that the problem and I ruined them? or I just need to wait till I get better?

How about this?
There should be a product that looks like a rubber contact lens that comfortably fits on the cervix.It can be removed at any time.

Hello, about two to three weeks ago I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I did not have any nasal discharge no nothing. All I felt was pressure around my eyes and into my cheeks, like literally it felt like fluid was swooshing around in my face.My doctor prescribed me meds before actually seeing me, and when I saw him he said immediately "Sinus Infection". I finished a ten day course of a antibiotics and a steroid. Two days before the end of my ten day course I STILL had the feeling that thing wasn't going away, so I called my doctor and was told there's nothing he can do about it until I finish the medicine. Anyways, here we are two weeks later. Ok three days ago I put in my contact lenses and started to feel slight pain under my eye. The day after that I put the lenses in and suddenly I got the shooting pain that literally ran down from my eyebrow, down the inner corner of my eye and down my nose! Immediately I took the lenses out! Mind you, I stopped wearing my lenses for about three weeks due to my sinus infection. Anyways, the next day I put back on my glasses and felt that same slight swooshing feeling and pressure rotating from eye to eye, around my brows, forehead, now a dull ache in my ear, and congestion in my nose. I went back to y doctor and he told me "I don't think its a sinus infection because if it was you'd have a runny nose, stuffy nose, coughing." I said to him, "But I didn't have any of those symptoms the last time!" He replied, "You didn't? Well I'd have my eyes checked because I don't think its a sinus infection." We left and I weeped while my daughter was pissed telling me what he said made no sense.My mom and Aunt already didnt like my doctor due to him always giving me meds before actually seeing me and when i would see him, he'd give me "The shot". Here I am this morning and my eye feels slightly itchy, congested, my ear still has a dull ache, and my nose on that one side goes from stuffy to clear! What the hell is wrong with me?

Is it still safe to use my eye contacts?
I own colored contacts that aren't disposable.their the ones that last like 10 months or so. Anyway, I haven't used them in about 4 months. They've been in the contact lens case with solution for that time period. Will it still be ok to use? Contacts are pretty expensive and i don't really wanna buy new ones: S

Ok, so I got my eye exam for glasses and decided to buy the frames somewhere else because they are more economical and I do not have insurance. I had a first email a seller if i could get the set of glasses prescribed and she answer." All of my glasses frames are 100% prescription ready.take them to the optical to your choice and have your prescription RX placed in the frame. Anyways those glasses got sold out I didn't buy them on time. Then I searched the same glasses from a different seller and ask him the same question and he answered " You will receive this pair with demo glasses.you will need to bring them to your eye doctor for RX lenses PS. this frame may not take progressive RX lenses. Ok so what is the difference or is it basically telling me the same thing as the other seller.i am sort of confused. THANKS

I just started contact lenses and for the whole day my eyes were very dry so I started blinking so much. I just took them off and I fell like my eyes are so sensitive now and I don't know it just feels weird.Is it normal? Any advice? My right lens is flickering with my 3D glasses even when not in use, how can i fix this?
Even when the tv is off, the right lens is suddenly a lot darker than the left.if i close my left eye i see flickering, if i close my right eye its fine.
this is my first time using them and they are in perfect condition.it literally started happening half way through a movie.the handbook said if flickering happened to charge them, which i did, and make sure there are no lamps nearby, which there never were.
it almost looks like one eye simply isn't turned on? anyone able to help?

i wear a soft contact brand, the kind that you sleep in, and you change out every 3 months
i just changed them out like month ago.and i wake up this morning and i can barely open my left eye
obviously i started flipping out, so i took out my right contact, and started trying to take out my left aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it wont come out… like at all… i can get a hold of it but it doesnt want to come off my eye! ive been trying drops and such, but it still wil not come off! i can slide it around but it just wont let me take it out >:\

Is it okay to cry with contact lenses in?
Ok this is shameful, but I nearly cried in school yesterday because of my bully coach. I held it back as much as I could but then some tears came out on my way home. Today my contacts feel a little weird. I don't know if it's normal or I'm imagining it (because I only had them a couple days) but is it possible I damaged them? I brought the Baush & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Saline Solution Plus. I am new to this brand and it was much more cheaper compare to other solution. Can it be used for storing overnight and put on the lenses next day like normal solution?

I'm just a newbie with wearing contacts. I'm using Air Optix Aqua. I don't sleep with them. I remove them every night (usually with 8-10 hours of use). I also use Aquify drops often because I use my contacts in an air-conditioned room.
Yesterday, I was not able to put drops in my eyes. I went to an event and did some work. I also drove and the vent of the aircon was directly hitting my left eye. I experienced some blurring in my eyes but my eye drops were nowhere so I was not able to put it. After I got home, I placed some eyedrops minutes before I removed them. After removing the lens in my left eye, I felt a stinging sensation every time I blink. I thought that it was only cause of too much wearing contact lens and dryness. But today, I still feel the stinging sensation.It is as if there is a foreign object in my left eye. I didn't wear my contact lens today just to be safe.
Did I scratch my cornea or something?
I also remove them with clean hands and use Alcon Opti-free Replenish.
I also checked my eyes if there's dirt or scratch (though I'm sure I will not be able to see it, haha) but there's none. I feel the urge to rub my eyes but it will only worsen my eyes' condition.
I really want to have it checked by a doctor but I can't go out now because of work.

Why are the edges of a contact lenses blue?
Its almost a blue tint. I have no idea why they are like this they are not color contacts are they defective. I haven't changed my brand.

Cataract surgery lens choice?
Will need cataract surgery and want to study up on options now. Have had both RK and LASIK to both eyes. One eye surgeon told me because of that I must go with a MONOFOCAL lens. I understand you choose for one vision chioce, near or far. Wondering about what kind of options I will have to consider. Probably inclined to go with near vision over far as I don't drive much anymore, but do computer work, read, etc.
Wondering if there are particularly good web sites to look at for current, solid info.
Not really interested in the one eye near, other eye far option. Think that would cause me problems.

Glasses/Specsavers help?
Hello,
I recently have had this annoying little problem with my glasses, everytime I put them on for more than 10 minutes, I notice my lens fog up/look all scratchy, now I know this is normal but I soon realized that it wasn't due to the dust and air etc… it was because of my eyelashes, everytime I put them on, the frame is too small I guess causing the lens to be close enough for my annoyingly long eye-lashes to push up against them, so everytime I blink I notice these little dust/spec scratches and so I want to change the frame size/glasses… now I got these pairs from Specsavers, I'm 16 / student and so have that free NHS thing, so I was wondering if I walked into my local optician/specsavers where I got these orginally, do you think it would be possible for me to swap/get larger pair from them after telling them about my little irritating problem?

What should i do if i accidentally dropped my contact lenses?
So it was my first time using contact lenses, I cleaned it with solution for about 6 hours and then decided to put it on.
I was making sure it was not flipped and then put it on my right eye but it somehow didn't want to enter and just popped out and fell on the floor.
These lenses were so expensive T. T (They're soft lenses by the way) I didn't know what to do so I just gently rubbed it on my palm with solution and then put it back on the case. Of course I changed the solution.
Should I throw it or should I let it stay there?
I change it every 2 days since that case only lasts 2 or 3 days until i change the solution again.

So yes, I tried putting it back on after cleaning with the multi-purpose solution (is that how you call it? lol) but it fell again.
In total, it fell like 3 times. I think I should just throw it -.- But i don't know, any opinions?

Should I throw it or should I let it stay there?
I change it every 2 days since that case only lasts 2 or 3 days until i change the solution again.

So yes, I tried putting it back on after cleaning with the multi-purpose solution (is that how you call it? lol) but it fell again.
In total, it fell like 3 times. I think I should just throw it -.- But i don't know, any opinions?

I wear clear contact lenses & the there is this problem I got that I don't to wear them because of the vision level.It makes my eyes feel weird and sometimes I don't know why but I actually see people eyes very close. I used to wear glasses but I stopped because I thought they where ugly on me.So now I'm with contact lenses. 3 days ago I kept feeling as though something's in my left eye.
I thought it may be my makeup, but even after removing makeup the irritation wasn't gone.
My eye rapidly turned red and now it's super red. There's some clear discharge as well.
Last night I plucked out some of my lashes and it felt much much better. But soon as I wore my contact lens the excessive pain attacked me.
I just went to a walkin clinic to figure out what it's all about but the doctor just throw me a prescription saying nothing, and left.
Should I see my family doctor?

I'm short sighted and have been meant to be wearing glasses for about 6 years, but hardly ever do, maybe only a couple of days a year, and I know it's stupid, but that's what happens. I can cope without them haha! I just hate how they look on me, and was wondering about getting contacts? But what can go wrong with them?(:

Yag Pi laser before ICL causes increase in eye power?
I am 24 years old and have High myopia ( 13 in left eye and 12 in the right). I have recently decided to go for ICL (Implantable Contact Lenses). I had the Yag Pi laser a couple of weeks back and the doctor prescribed use of FML. However since the last couple of days I have noticed that my left eye is blurry and I am having difficulty reading with the same glasses I have been using since ever. I went back to the hospital and they determined that the power in the left eye has gone up to -13.5. But then they did a re test and said it is 12.5 and That it is common for the power to go up upto .25 or 0.5. I wanted a second opinion and went to another doctor where they said the power has indeed gone up to 13.5. I have an appointment with both doctors tomorrow. I am seriously reconsidering my decision to o for an ICL. Has anyone ever faced this problem before? Help pleaseeeeeeeeeee.
Added (1). A YAG Pi laser is done before a ICL to make small hole in the eye to allow liquid to flow between the front and the back of the eye.

Contacts hurt my eyes.?
I've worn contact lenses before but not alot
I just got new contacts last time I used them was last year.
And one of them hurts my eyes alot.It's so irritating
Is this normal? Will it be ok after a while?

My lenses scratches and stings my eyes?
Well I bought my new contact lenses and I opened them just a little while ago. But when I first my lenses on my left eyes it was perfectly fine. But when I put the other lenses on my right eyes it sting like $@@:&@@!! I tried to switch the lenses but same thing happened. What to do? Pls don't let me dispose it! I bought it awhile ago.

I don't think this is anything to be concerned about, but I do think it's strange. When I push my glasses up on my nose so that the lens is closer to my eyes, my glasses slowly fog up. I know my eyes aren't touching the actual lens, but my lenses actually fog up to the point where I can't see unless I move my glasses a little farther away.
I wouldn't have given this a second though, except this reminded me about my last eye exam. When I had my last eye exam, the letters always seemed foggy. When my optometrist checked the lens, he discovered they were wet. He said he had never seen anything like it before, and presumed it was from some sort of sweat on my face (definitely not). After he wiped it clean and we restarted, the same thing happened a couple minutes later. Any ideas why this happens? I thought it was something worth bringing up considering my own eye doctor had never seen anything like it.

Tired of Living With Thick Glasses.?
Since I was about 7 years old, I was diagnosed with chronic uveitis (JRA related). The disease prompted my parents to purchase prescription glasses so adjust my eyesight. About 2 1/2 years later, cataract surgery was performed on my eyes and my optical lens was removed without the implementation of a synthetic lens. The absence of any lenses inside my eyes were what led to me first getting my powerful bifocals. About a year afterwards, I was also diagnosed with glaucoma, and so tube shunts were placed into my eyes to alleviate pressure and prevent any further damage to my eyesight.
I lived through middle school and high school with those same glasses, and my experience was about as pleasant as you'd expect.Name-calling, prejudgments, inability to get girls lol etc etc.It's like people look at me completely differently and have so many preconceived notions about me just based on my glasses… And I'm so sick of it. Just because I've got thick glasses automatically makes me something or puts me in a certain category, and it's prevented me from so many things socially… It's hard to even look directly at people because I know they'll judge me. I've tried contacts, but they're so difficult for me to put in… It literally felt impossible because my eyes would not stop fidgeting. But I can't keep living like this… I always wonder what my life would be like without these glasses, and I want to find out.
I've discussed monofocal lens surgery with my doctor, but he said it is only a viable solution once inflammation in the eyes has been quiet for at least 6 months.So if they're not quiet on the next check-up, I'm basically screwed? I can't accept that, and I'm tired of accepting a life like this.It's just been so difficult to cope with the social barriers that these glasses have placed before me, and I don't know how much longer I can bear it
Added (1). Basically my question is how do I improve my situation? Is there any practical way for me to get my glasses off in any reasonable amount of time? Do I really have to accept this reality?

Tripod head in nose!
Did not know how to title this question!
I am using some 10x50 binoculars for stargazing. Sometimes I want to look more closely at an object and I want to use my tripod. When I use the current tripod I have, the tightener on the tripod head pokes into my face and I cant get my eyes into the lens properly.
I have seen some tripods that would solve the issue but they would mean forking out more cash than I would like at this time.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I can modify my tripod or some other solution that someone may of heard of?

Circle lenses and astigmatism? - 2
So I wanted to get GEO circle lenses, but I'm unsure if I can get away with getting normal ones or would I have to cater to my astigmatism. I've worn normal colour contacts with no problems at all, but I had toric lenses with prescription the lense was 14.5mm [So like the size of a circle lense but clear]
Right: -1.75/-1.25x160
Left: -3.00/-0.75x20
Here are the numbers to help answer the question, the first number from each [-1.75 and -3.00 respectively] are my eyesight numbers.So it's the last two that are to do with my astigmatism. The first number AFTER the / is the cylinder and the second is the axis ^^ Thank you!

Hi folks,
Got my contact lenses yesterday, it took a few hours of trying and having breaks to remove my contact lenses. But today I'm still having trouble, it's only my second day of wearing them. :/ Anyhow, what are your favourite methods? How do you do it? What would you recommend for new users?
I was told by my eye doctor that I shouldn't be taking the lens directly off my cornea but to slide it down, but in doing this I often end up hitting it against the red meaty part of my eye and making it very sore.Is it okay to pinch it off the cornea? Many opticians tell you to do this whereas others argue against it, the majority of my friends remove them directly off the cornea.
Any tips? Please answer soon! :(

How to NOT look awkward WITHOUT glasses?
Okay so I've been wearing glasses since September (4 months) constantly. I hate the way I look with glasses, but thats another story. Anyway, I asked my parents if I can have contact lenses and they said yes. I'm probably getting it in a few months or so. I took my glasses off yesterday at school for a while and my friends automatically said I look "weird" without glasses. I kind of agree with them :(( Is there any way possible I "can't" look weird without them ?

First time buying or wearing contact lenses?
Okay hi guys so I have NEVER worn contacts before in my life, nor have I bought them. But, for my next cosplay, Hikaru from MKR, I will need red contacts. I wouldn't normally wear contacts for a cosplay, but this wil be my first serious cosplay and i want to to be the best it can be.
I'm planning on buying these contacts because they seem to have the best reviews for bright red circle lenses, but I don't know exactly HOW I should buy lenses, if that makes sense.
I talked to my mom about it, since I am still kinda young and need permission for this kind of stuff. She said buying contacts from online isn't a good idea, not necessarily because they're bad quality and will blind you, but because everyone's eyes are different sizes and shapes, so if you don't buy contacts specially made for your eyes, it might be uncomfortable and/or damage your cornea.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas?

Contact lenses for crossed eye?
I am 18 and i have a lazy eye(Left eye tilts outward, I see double vision), I was wondering if contact lenses would fix that problem. I have worn contact lenses before but stopped because they would bother me so much. Anyway, when I wore the contacts I can see things ALOT more clearly with my left eye, I dont know if that has to do with anything but please post your answer if you know anything about this.

They said the visit would cost £30 for the three visits.
They are going to let me test the contact lenses and learn how to put them in etc.
So for those who have had previous experience:
Do you guys know what type of contacts i will be wearing (Weeklies? Dailies?)
If so, for how long?
My initial idea was to call them and get a prescription for lenses to purchase off the asda optician website, as they sell monthlies for £18 (3 months including solution)
How did your experience play through?
Did I go the right way about it?

Why don't they make contacts in a lower CYL?
So first is my glasses scrip
SPH CYL AXIS
OD +.5 -.75 130
OS +.25 -.5 037
And my contacts
BC SPH CYL AXIS DIA
8.7 +0.50 -0.75. 130. 14.5. O. D.
8.7. +0.25. -0.75. 040. 14.5. O. S.
So, my vision isn't bad at all and my contact and glasses prescription is nearly identical, except for the CYL on 1 eye. This is because they don't make contacts below a -0.75. Why is that?
They have no problem making 1 eye of my lenses in my glasses a -0.5 CYL. Why can't they make a contact the same? Just curious.

I think i like 3 different guys at my skool.
Andrew flirts with me, and every girl he sees. But he is in all of my classes. He will make me laugh, and sometimes sits next to me.Is he shy, and not showing his true feelings, or just flirtatious? He was in all but one of my classes last year. I think he like another girl, because he sits with her more than me. But he doesnt make her laugh that much, and she says that he is annoying.
Zack is so cute, and sits next to me on purpose a lot. He likes another girl, but hangs out with me more. He always stares into my eyes, and smiles at me. He doesnt look/turn unless i do it. We flirt and play around a bunch. Like we poke each other, put our feet on each others feet… i don't know how he feel about me at all. When our hands touch (which is alot), he doesnt react to it like i do. I smile or giggle. He is helpful too. Helps carry my books, picks up things i drop etc. He makes me laff a lot too. Usually his body is turned toward mine, and he leans back behind me. Sometimes he lens forward like he is going to kiss me, but he just stares at me. He doesnt tell me about his life or about himself very much.is he just afraid to be open with me?
Last is Harrison. I am only with him in two classes. He is really ugly, but is the most open with me. He is a great friend. We only stare into each others eyes for 5 seconds at the most. I want it to be longer, but he always looks down, or away. He purposely comes and sits next to me. He is a bit nerdy, but really funny. One day when i was talking to my friend, he came. My eyesight has got so bad.It's been bad for around 6 years, and I did get glasses to help. But I don't like them wearing in public… Also, I can't get contact lenses at the moment. I am studying abroad in the Czech Republic, and it is simply too much effort to try and negotiate contact lenses with the language barrier here. I should have got them over christmas in my home country, but I was too busy with other stuff. But I am really struggling, and feel like a dunce when I am walking near people and can't even figure out who they are.
I don't have money for laser eye surgery, and I simply will find it too difficult to try and get contacts put in over here. If I buy a pair of eyeglass readers from Urban Outfitters with a plastic frame that's made out of the same materials as my Ray-Bans, can I take them to LensCrafters and have them replace the glass with my prescription lenses? I've read that sometimes the materials from readers cannot hold the prescription glass and break, is that true? Oh and also, if I can get them to apply the prescription, about how much will it cost? Why don't contact lenses come in a lower CYL?
So, I have "pretty good" eyes, and have a weak glasses/contact prescription for corrective vision.My glasses prescription calls for a -.75CYL in left eye, and a -.50 in the right (told you it ain't bad). But my contact lens prescription calls for -.75CYL in BOTH eyes. I understand that they don't make contacts for a .50CYL.It only goes down to a -.75.
My question is, why don't they make a -0.50 power contact lens?
just curious. BTW… I know my astigmatism is not "strong", so I don't need that included with the explanation.

The Metaphor in itself is debatable, if it's to be taken literally, but for the sake of argument lets say if you have enough Experience you can get the feel on what the other person is thinking by starting into their eyes.
However what if someone was wearing colored contacts (To hide their true eye color) and was conversing with an individual, would it still be possible to get that feel on what they're thinking or would it be Essentially Impossible due to the complete dullness their eyes seem to give off?
Also the guy with the lenses face is completely blank, his body language is normal, and his tone doesn't give anything away.So in other words it's his eyes or nothing.
Added (1). His eyes are not shifting side to side, he is maintaining perfect eye contact, his eyes neither narrow or widen; He is looking at you politely and respectably listening to you as you speak.
The only thing the other person has to go on is their Iris and Pupil.

My fiance and I have been officially living together since Febuary 11'
(when he was 17 he officially moved in with me.) He pretty much has lived with me since July 10'
Anyway. He is 18, and we are just getting are life started together We go to comunity college.
We pay rent, we work, we go to school.
We have a baby on the way. We are very excited for.
When he turned 18, we asked her to give him his birth certificate and insurance card, social card. We litterly had to make her give it to him. Because she thought we we're going to runaway and get married? he's 18--- Then the topper, 6 months after he moved out, She was still filing food stamps on him, we had to turn her in for that, because she would never take him off the case, it affected our WIC,(for the baby) i almost didnt get it.
Anyways,We called his mother, and made sure she wasnt going to file income tax on him, because we we're going to let my mom do it, because before we got on our feet she helped and paid for everything, and my mom will help us and give us money 90% of the time when we need it or want it
His mother has spent $26 dollars exactly on him in the past year. We're not asking anything from her, just not to file him on taxes.
When we called her, she said I have to talk to your dad, and she won't give us a straight answer.
we called her a second time, and she knew he had a eye doctors appointment coming up, She had the nerve to say if he was calling about that, she wasnt helping him pay for the contacts or the co payment, and he didnt even ask.
Then he said no, did u talk to dad or whatever, and she said yes and the said don't you think its unfair that you won't let me file taxes? we need that money, ive helped you through everything.
She hasnt at all. All she has done is critizised my mother, and telling my mom about how we made her little boy grow up, and she does everything for him and making snide remarks about our life.
Are we in the wrong telling her not to file taxes on him? he don't live with her, he don't even visit except for an hour or two.every other month, and only once have we ever asked for her help!
because he had a horrible eye infection when his contact had ripped inside and she bought him eye drops and a set of contact lenses for $26 (When he was a minor and still living in there household).
Please help? she makes him feel bad, to the point he don't even want to call her, bc he always gets told how he broke his mamas heart.and his dad yelling in the back ground saying hes a piece of crap.

Does colored contacts ruin your eyes (vision)?
I have perfect vision and one time I wore colored contact lenses for a party and I wore them from 4:00pm to 10:00pm and after that I started seeing a little blurry and that was about half a year ago and I still kinda see blurry an when I went to my checkup I did the eye vision screen test and they said I failed it I'm scared to go to the eye doctor and they will tell me I need glasses is there anything I can do?

I want to wear prescripted circle lenses, and i have astigmatism. I wanted to buy toric lenses but it's so expensive i cant afford it.So if my prescription is:
Left eye;
Power: -3.25
CYL: -1.25
DIA: 14.5
Right eye;
Power:-3.75
CYL: -1.25
DIA: 14.5
I already have the base curve and water content and blah figured out.i just need to know the BEST way to convert this toric lenses prescription into circle lenses prescription.ive already worn reg circle lens and it didnt bother me at all, so i know ill be okay!

How to get used to my contact lenses?
I've had contact lenses for about a year now but i hardly ever wear them, because they irritate me so much when i put them in!
So I follow all the instructions correctly and put them in fine, but when they are in my eyes go all stingy and my eyes close and i can't open them and my eyes go all watery. I can't wear them for school because it takes about 2hrs for this sensation to stop, i don't have that time in the morning!
When the sensation has stopped, they're fine for the rest of the day, it's wierd!
I've noticed that when i open a new packet (because i have monthly ones) and i put them in, they are fine, but when i get them from my container, i get that horrible sensation.
How do I stop it? Do i need to wear them every day so my eyes can get used to them?

I was thinking about getting some coloured contact lenses off of ebay. But I need second oppinions because, well you know, I'm putting it in my eye.Do you think its worth it? ie, optometrist says "we can't dispense contact lenses without checking your eyes in case you develop ulcers/ scarring/ discomfort/ infection/ abrasions"
Patient replies "well I've never had any of that before.In fact I've worn lenses for 20 years and not had a single problem"
The argument is that because they've never had a problem before, they're not likely to have one in the future.
But nobody ever has a medical problem. Until they get one.

So my eye prescription for my glasses is 6.00, and my contact lenses is 5.50. But i went to the eye doctor because I could see way better with my glasses then my lenses. Even when she bumped the contacts up to 6.00, my glasses still see better. Why is it like this?

Are there contacts bigger than circle lenses?
Circle lenses I've heard say that there are in size form 14-16.2mm in diameter, but ACTUALLY are only like 14-15. I want lenses that are ACTUALLY 16.2mm. The circle lenses I see and have previously owned all look so small on my eyes… so Yes or no are there contacts bigger than circle lenses?

How to make colored contacts last longer?
I bought cat eye halloween contact lenses this last halloween on the internet and it said they would last 1 year with occasional use. I used them like 3-4 times on halloween and haven't touched them since, do you think I will be able to use them for next halloween if I just leave them? Anything under $200, but preferrably $150. Also, I'm probably not going wear contacts on the weekends or after school, and maybe I'll wear glasses several days every month. Does that make a difference?

Improving eye sight and Power of Lens.?

so recently i have been having some problems to my eyes ; something like allergy, drying, apperance of boils, itching, reddishness and so on…
it is also found that i have started to have short sight and i am using a spectacles of 0.75 power.
well, as i was not satisfied due to the treatment for my allergy,(every other month i had itching inside my eyes) i have consulted 3 famous doctors in my area… and i am confused now
One of the 3 doctors asked me to have a sugery.
second one said nothing but asked me to use spectacles
third one asked me not to use spoectacles but gave me some instuctions and he gave me no medicines too…
the question i have is about spectacles… as i used glasses for 3-4 months, now i feel it is a bit difficult to continue without spectacles…
i cannot see far away written things, cant recognise persons or objects as it is all blurred…

so recently i have been having some problems to my eyes ; something like allergy, drying, apperance of boils, itching, reddishness and so on…
it is also found that i have started to have short sight and i am using a spectacles of 0.75 power.
well, as i was not satisfied due to the treatment for my allergy,(every other month i had itching inside my eyes) i have consulted 3 famous doctors in my area… and i am confused now
One of the 3 doctors asked me to have a sugery.
second one said nothing but asked me to use spectacles
third one asked me not to use spoectacles but gave me some instuctions and he gave me no medicines too…
the question i have is about spectacles… as i used glasses for 3-4 months, now i feel it is a bit difficult to continue without spectacles…
i cannot see far away written things, cant recognise persons or objects as it is all blurred…
ecently i did an eye check up but then too none mentioned about using glasses and when i enquired the doctor told that there is no much problem to eye sight and thts all abt how i feel…
so i have a questions like
1) will my power of lens increase if i give up using spectacles?
2) is there any eye excecise that can improve my eye sight even if i give up glasses as doctor sked me to do ?

How do female lawyers dress?
I am taking a module called business law and tomoro i will be having a "court" session in class with real scenario and i need to be properly dressed like im in court.My teacher is a part time teacher as he is a real lawyer.
Hair: Must my hair be tied up into a pony tail or can i let it down? What about fringe?
Eyes: I wear circle lenses and i apply eyeliner quite thick with wings. Can i do that when dressed as a lawyer? Or is it better if i stick to my glasses?
Makeup: Neutral makeup i believe with maybe a nude or peachy lipstick colour?
Dressing: White collared shirt tucked into a black skirt and a black blazer. Can i wear black leggings? Or do i have to stick to nude stockings?
Footwear: Black pumps with heels
Nail: Nude nail polish
Please do help :)

How is the focal length of the eye lens changed?
I know that this is called power of accommodation of the eye and also that it comes about due to the ciliary muscles. But i want to know what does these muscles do to change the focal length?

Can a 13 year old wear contact lenses?
Hi, well I've been wearing glasses for about 2 years now and they've just been making my eyes worse
so I thought of contact lenses..so I went onto Specsavers.co.uk and checked out the contact lenses so I asked my parents and they said I could book an eye test and then get contacts lenses if my eyes are suitable. But I went in yesterday and the woman said "my eyes look ok to have contacts."
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I'm a very hygenic person, I always keep my hands clean, and I never mess with dirt and and then touch my face/eyes/etc.
and I know how to keep contact lenses clean, and I'm aware of the affects of not keeping them clean.

Added (2). Well yeah, but contact lenses will help alot, because the glasses do, it's just the bad side effect to it is it makes my eyes so blurry.
Added (3). And it's a long story, I'm short sighted which means I can only see things close up but when I started wearing the glasses it eventually made it worse and worse and now I can't even see properly from about 5 feet away.So that's why I'm changing.

Tips for inserting and removing contact lenses?
Today, after 12 years of wearing glasses, I decided to try and get contact lenses. I was really having trouble inserting and removing contact lenses..took me about 45 mins each. I got them in and got them out with help from the doctor.
I was having trouble with keeping my eyes open. I kept blinking right as it was about to go in, which lead to the contact clinging to my lashes instead. Any tips for getting them in and out? I have another appointment for training on them in a couple days.
Any one else seem to have the same trouble, but eventually got used to it?
Any tips greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you constantly need to continue purchasing contact lenses?
I was just wondering, do you constantly need to keep buying contact lenses or just the solution. Also, what contacts are better for nearsightedness, daily contacts, weekly contacts or monthly contacts?

I have Diplopia - Can i wear contact lenses?
I have double vision in both eyes and so I have to wear glasses to try and sort them out. Yet the glasses change my identity and therefore it affects my image to the point where… it's not me. Some people let their glasses become part of their image and I am not one of them.My eyes are weak in term of sight not in terms of the eye itself.
I want to wear contacts because that would allow me to be who I am. I have had it all my life and had glasses since the age of 11. I have to point out that my eyes are healthy on the inside it is just the way my eyes communicate with my brain. I also have the ability/disability of looking through one eye at once.
NB: I have prizoms in my glasses so they try to correct it, but to no avail they fail to do so…
Any help would be appreciated.

Are i. Fairy contact lenses good?
So first off, I'm 13. I really want i. Fairy lenses, and I know how to take care of contacts and maintain them and all the stuff you should and shouldn't do with them because I've been wearing contacts ever since I was about 8. Fairy is a trusted brand and she won't let me purchase them off the internet. I need some info about them and how they are trustable. I know they are trustable, but she doesn't believe me. I did some research about i. Fairy and they have really no bad ratings or issues. She is sort of… overprotective and wants me to have the best, and go to my eye doctor for their lenses, but they look bad, and I really want circle lenses. Crizal 1.59 airwear looking thick?
I just now brought a crizal airwear with 1.59 index.my no is Right -5.50 and Left -5.50 rimless frame.
but the lenses are looking thick.is it ok.or should i contact the optician i brought it from.
