Half contacts half eyeglasses? For 20/20 eyes?

Would it be possible to wear a contact prescription that has 50% of the "magnification" for my eyes and the other "50" for my glasses? I am asking this because right now when I wear my glasses they are so thick it's enbarecing! Would my eye doctor be able to do this? I have a stigmatizm but my eyes are just really bad I hope you can follow me on this? If I wear my normal contact lenses they are not nearly as strong as my glasses but if I got an eye glass prescription to match my contacts would that work? Please help

Contact lenses burned my eyes?!

I went swimming with them on, I know, stupid. But I didn t dive into the water and all, but that might I realized I forgot my contact lens solution. She found one in the car but it was expired but she insisted I use it. So I let it sit for a while and I put it on and my eyes burned. I don t care that I have to wear my glasses but what happened? Did I let the chlorine absorb in it? Or was it the contact lens solution?

Is this okay or will colored contacts damage my vision?

Hi. I wear air optix colored contacts I don't wear them everyday and they are Plano lenses.
1. I find these contacts blur my vision- especially when I look at something far away. However, I noticed this worsens in dim light. In bright light/ outside, my vision is slightly not as good (compared to wearing no lenses) but much better (I assume because the pupil is not dialated?)
2. When I take out the lenses, it takes about half an hour for my vision to return to normal. And I think it's because my eyes feel dry from the contacts
3. Is it safe to continue wearing these contacts for perhaps 2 days a week? I have went to an eye doc and did have a contacts fitting. I have 20/20 vision

What index is best for my glasses?

I normally wear contacts, so I don't know much about refractive index. I want to buy browline glasses. Since the frame is metal on the bottom part, I am concerned about lens thickness. All my other glasses in the past have been full rim plastic frames. The browline frame measures at 52-18-135.

This is my prescription:
OD: -3.00, -0.50 x 95
OS: -3.25

Which index(1.56, 1.6, 1.67) is the most suitable for thin lenses and good vision with my prescription?

How often to change contact solution in case?

Kind of a dumb question, but I wear Plano colored lenses a few times a week. I clean them throughly each time I use them and change the solution each time. But if o don't wear them for 5 days, do I have to change the solution each day or not because they are not used? Thanks!

I have found colored contacts that are for astigmatism, and colored contacts that are for hyperopia, but none that are both. I tried non-toric ones and it was awful. Does anyone know where I can find toric colored contacts for hyperopia?

How bad is pink eye really?

Last night I went over to my 7 year old daughter's best friend's house to pick her up for a plant sleepover party--I was told by the mother "I'm terribly sorry but Ashley will not be able to go… She has pink eye and I don't want your daughter or you to get it as well"… And in the back I saw the girl sitting with her arms folded and a big scowl on her face.

I've remotely heard of it, but I thought your eye just turns itchy and red (something I deal with time to time with contact lenses yet I still carry on)… What is it exactly and is it actually contageous?

So I lost my eye glasses out at sea, but luckily I got some old spares at home. The only thing I don t like about them is that the frames are half black and then the bottom half is translucent. Contact lenses and sources of eye irritants?

I wish to get contact lenses because… Anything more than 1ft away becomes a blur, quite near sighted, I don't care to have glasses squeezing the life outta my head and nose.

Dry eyes… Could this affect how contact lenses feel on my eye balls? I don't have naturally dry eyes, they get dry from low humidity in breezy/windy moments, which in Florida is uncommon thankfully.

I have no problem touching my eye balls, I tried to just to see how bad it was, about 30 minutes ago, though my eyes tried naturally to close due to the proximity of my fingers, had to use my fingers as the 'jaws of life' lol.

Still have squint even when i wear glasses?

I have a pretty bad squint in my right eye when i dont wear my glasses. I have a strong enough prescription and im farsighted. However i notice even when i wear glasses my eye still squints abit when im talking to somebody up close. Sometimes the other eye squints and then the normally squinted one straightens. Its been bothering me alot lately and is affecting my confidence talking to people. Is there any possibility of surgery to correct the squint and continue to wear my glasses/ contact lenses? Thanks

I went to my regular optomologist because I was having problems with contacts that used to not make my eyes red now making them red after only a few hours of wear. He gave me artificial tears, told me to quit using visine and benedryl, and told me my eyes would return to norm and theres nothin stoppin me from lasik. The lady told me I should have my soft air optix toric lenses out 2 wks before the consult. Do you guys think 10 days will be enough?

so i applied henna to my hair with bare hands and after washing my hair, i realized my hands were stained. So will it be ok to touch and wear contact lenses now? So ive been wearing soft contact lenses for about a year from now and it has never been any problem. My eyes got adjusted very well with them, until this month that is ending. My eyes are becoming easily irritated,dry,sensitive to light when i have them on even if its for a short time like 5 hours. I have the same routine as always but idk if the heat might be a problem. Can't put in contacts?

I just got CRT lenses, they're a type of hard lense, not like a soft one. The problem is, is that it's really slippery, and keeps slipping off my finger, and that I feel like it's not adhering to my eye. It might be the angle I'm putting the sense in, but I'm pretty sure it touched my eyes. I managed to put one in before (the right one) but I'm not quite sure how I did it. I don't really have a problem with opening my eyes and blinking. It's just that the sense keeps slipping off my finger, or won't adhere to my eye.

I wear -4.00 dailies contact lenses and was wondering if reading books with them in and looking at objects kind of close to my eyes such as my phone is bad for my eyes? Can I store soft contact lenses in cleaning saline solution?

They are usually stored in something called opti-replenish, which I bought from the opticians along with a bottle of saline solution to clean the contacts with before I wear them, I have ran out of the opti-replenish and need to wear my contacts. I won't be able to replace the opti-replenish for at least 3 days, can i store them in saline until then?

Hello. I have been wearing contacts for many years now but a couple a years ago I tried Air Optix Colors. I thought those colored contacts were not realistic looking so I purchased contacts from a website called Desio. I received a prescription from my eye doctor with two different base curves for two different contact brands. Im an 8.6 for air optix & a 8.8 for Soflens. The contacts I want to purchase from Desio have a base curve of 8.6 and 14.3 Diameter. Will these contacts fit me? My doctor never put down a diameter on my prescription. Thank You.

So I wanted to buy some new lens and found this website called party kingdom (http://www.contactlensdropshipping.com/) but found out the packaging is in plastic (which over the years i found out that's how chinese lens are packaged). CAN I TRUST THEM? I've been buying korean lens which comes in a bottle, which to me feels much safer, and some are approved safe by the government of korea (or something like that).

I just got new glasses. My glasses I had before made my eyes look super tiny too so this time I paid extra for the super thin lenses. They told me it would make my eyes look more normal but even with paying the extra money the lenses are still very thick and my eyes still look super small. I have worn eyeglass since 4th grade. I am very myopic. My right eye recently got worse but the eye doctor he wouldn't give me a new prescription for eyeglasses because there is too much difference between my eyes and he said they would make me dizzy. Why do my eyes get sore when using contact lenses?

Okay, so I got soft contact lenses (two week ones). The first day I wear them, they are comfortable and my eyes feel fine, but the second day I wear them, my eyes begin to feel sore and tired.
