Can I change myself and become what I want?

Hello everyone, I'm just a 17 (18 next month) teenager. I've never had a girlfriend because my classmates say that I'm the loser of the class, because I don't like being a jerk with girls (one night stands) and I'm a bit, educated. I try to be modest every day but many people have told me that in my search of modesty (too much in fact because I never know when to stop) I actually lower my self-esteem/confidence.
I've always been called the loser of the class, because I don't have interest in football or getting drunk, I work on my pc in 3D animations, sound editing and guess what? I want to be an actor, since I was 7 I wanted to be an actor, that way (according to my 7 year old speech) I could be every man on earth, a fireman, a lawyer, medic, race driver, assassin, alien and so on. Since then, I thought that I was being childish and stupid, but I wasn't, I still want to do that.
Yes, I am going to go to college to study special effects but I'm also going to study acting, because I will help me with my self-esteem, I would meet educated and nice people and I might succeed.
I don't go to the gym, I don't want to face my classmates, and recently I started working out at home, I started acting too, still at home.
I can't say that I'm ugly or attractive, because I have almost no self-esteem.
My questions are, do girls like guys who work out?
Is it too late to start acting (at home) and at college to succeed in TV and in this career?
Is It hopeless to go into acting at this age and really keep doing it, or I'm just not for acting? ( I have a plan B, my special effects future degree).
Why do my classmates call me a loser just because I like to work on my pc, (interested in cars/bikes as well) and treat girls right (I like to give them flowers)?
Also, I want to do it all, special effects and acting, I want to work out, work on my pc, study and read/educate myself even more, I'm going to take a piano class.
I want to be a better person / boy / man ( am I a man at 17? ) I upgrade my pc to get performance, it's time to upgrade myself. I don't want to be an womanizer, I just want to be myself, romantic and devoted while looking good, I'm going to get myself contact lenses, and work out every single day.
Can I an successful actor if I work hard enough?
Can I do it all? Can I be all those things? Or am I just a loser who can't do anything but write and read?

I lost my contact lens. It could be in my eye?

Last night I went out and got a bit drunk, I was wearing my contact lenses and I must have fallen asleep or passed out. Then when I woke up, I went to take them out, but there was only the one there…

I don't know if it fell out or if its stuck in my eye somewhere! I can't see it, I've tried rubbing my eye, moving my eye round, pulling my eye lid up but I can't see it. I don't have any pain or discomfort which makes me think it fell out. Also, I was wearing false lashes, and that was off my one eye too where my lens has gone… I'm starting to think it fell out…

What can I do!

HELPPP! SHOULD I BUY CONTACT LENSES? DX?

My parents said they would buy me them next month on my bday, but when I told my friends about it, they said "No, don't buy it, you look better with glasses". I honestly don't think I look good with glasses and would prefer contacts. I've been wanting them for a long time now! Should I still get it? I'm 13 btw. I feel prettier without glasses and less insecure.

Do I look okay in my glasses?

Well recently my Mom got a big check in the mail, and I was sick of big fat ugly medicated glasses. I wanted some glasses what would look good on me, and not give me that nerdy, bug eyes look.So my Mom paid 400$ for a new pair of designer frames. Along with transition lenses, I like them. They have stars on the frames, but do they look good on me? Do I look too nerdy? Here is a picture:

Should I be worried about my eyes?

I have to go to the opticians every 6 months (set by my optician) because my eyes keep getting worse. I am severely short sighted. I have had 5 pairs of glasses in the last 3 years (all with new lenses.) My eyes keep getting worse, and I have noticed it now. I am waiting until I have to go for my next test however.i am a 13 year old girl. Should I be worried that my eyes keep getting worse and worse? My optician has said that they may get better later in life, but it is unlikely. He has also said that I have inherited my bad eyesight from my mum and dad.

I've always used Opti- Free Replenish and I really like it. But recently my contact brand has been changed from Acuvue Air Optix to Oaysis. I read reviews online that said opti free and oaysis don't go well together. What do I do? Opti free replenish & oasys OR clear care & oasys?

How to convince my mom to let me get colored contacts?

So I already wear contacts and go to a eye doctor. I want Freshlook contacts, and I wear Air Optix, so its by the same company. They even have trial pairs in the office that I go to (which is located 5 mins away from my house) My eyes are fine and perfectly almond shaped, and I have no problems with contacts. I already had my eye appointment, and im running low on contacts, so I dont see why I cant get them. They are a safe, reliable brand endorsed by my eye doctor, my eyes are fine, same brand, and I can pay the difference. Also, I want green colorblend ones, and my eyes are naturally hazel, so it would just enhance the green in them, not completely change the color. And, I can try them on. What else can I do to convince her? Have I missed anything?

Which are better Acuvue Air Optix or Acuvue Oasys?

I'm 16 and I went to my annual contact exam and my new doctor asked what brand used before. I forgot so I guessed Oasys, she said thats a good guess, so she ended up giving me them. I ended up realizing that the trial one's she gave me felt thinner and slimier than what I'm use to. I realize now that it was Air Optix that I was prescribed with my old optometrist. What do I do? They feel fine in my eyes and I like the idea if them being 2 week disposables instead of monthly. With monthly air optix they would tore/ rip more and bothered my eyes. Sometime they would only last 3 weeks. Should I give Acuvue Oasys a shot? Tell me whch ones you think are better! THANKS!

Contact lenses? Can we safely reuse those daily disposable contact lenses?

I wear contacts once or twice a week. I recently purchased a box of 1 day acuvue lenses. After wearing a pair for five hours, I take them off and, since they don't look cracked or torn I wonder why I can't just store them in a sterile solution and wear them again a couple of days later. What will happen if I do that?

My new contact lenses *HELP!

How come my contact lense prescription is the same as my eyeglass prescription?

I was at my opthalmologis's for a check-up and tested my vision as per normal.

He gave me a new prescription for my glasses and I told him I wanted to start wearing contacts. I have a .25 difference between my left and right eye. All he did was increase the RX of the lower power to make it the same as the higher one for my contact lens RX so my contacts for each eye would be the same.

I thought contact lenses were weaker in RX cause they are placed closer to the eye than glasses?

Can using the waterline and blinking out contacts cause damage to the eye?

I was just wondering if blinking out soft contacts (Daily Lenses) as seen in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTUaVfmgl_I) is safe? I've tried it and it works well for me as pinching them out can be tricky. Can this method cause scratches on the cornea?

Is 1.59 index lenses (Polycarbonate) suitable for high prescription?

I have high prescription, -9.00 and -10.00 in both eyes.
I am wearing 1.74 index lenses now.
I am looking for a impact resistant backup glasses (just in case), with my high prescription, can I go for 1.59 index lenses (Polycarbonate)?
I know it will be thick but how thick it could be?
I plan to go for smaller frame size and full rim plastic frame to hide part of the thickness too.

One of my circle lenses is irritating :?

So I bought my first 2 pairs of circle lenses today, I soaked them in contact lense solution for 5 hours and washed my hands throughly made sure I put them in the right way and all that.
The 14mm pair were absolutely fine but one of the lenses in the 15mm pair is irritating >.< when I first put it in it made my eye red and tear up, it wasnt very painful just irritating. The other eye was completely fine.
I cleaned and left them to soak for another hour and I put the lenses in the opposite eyes. The problem lense was still irritating but not as bad.Do you think they just need a longer soak?

P.s I noticed that the problem lense has an incredibly tiny mark on the outer edge.It's not a rip from what I can see more like a dent :/
Could this be the problem?

Theatrical Contact Lenses?

I'm trying to find some contacts that will actually change my eye color.It is really frustrating because the last pair I ordered looked NOTHING like pictured.

I don't know where to buy the kind I need!

I have green eyes and I need lenses that will make them look noticeably purple. The last pair I bought ended up just making my eyes darker and were nothing like pictured.

Why do air bubbles form under contact lenses?

I've noticed lately that air bubbles have been forming under my contacts, which I've never had a problem with before. But it never happens right when I insert them, it always happens a few hours later and almost always when I have eyeliner on. Why does this happen and what can I do to prevent this?

Is it bad to use contact lenses?

I have been using them for about 3 years now cause i dont like to wear glasses.i buy biofinity lenses that i wear them for a whole month and then replace them.my sight have increased to -8.5 and -7.5 should i stop wearing them and consider making a new pair of glasses and stay with them? i am trying to apply for the eye laser operation but the eye doctor told me that i should wait few more untill my eyes stops going bad, after it stops i can make the operation.he told me that if i do it now my eyes could need glasses again after few months. what should i do?

The lenses i wear, i wear them 24/7 for month or 3 weeks and replace with new ones.i sleep with them.the optician told me i can sleep with them.i havent had problems sleeping with them, the only problem is when i work night shift my eyes eyes starts to feel too tired and sometimes i have to scratch them abit,

Non perscription colour contacts?

I plan on buying color contacts to improve my appearance but IM SO AFRAID of the thought of touching my eyeball… and having to slide it of my iris and pinching the lens to remove it **twitches** will this annoying fear fade??? Scholarships or Tuition Waivers for someone with really bad vision, but not blind?

This is for Texas universities.

I'm not considered legally blind. I do have really, really bad vision, but with glasses or contacts, I'm back at 20/20.

My eyes by themselves though… I couldn't last a day without corrective lenses.

I know that in Texas, DARS will waive your tuition to any TX university if you're legally blind, but is there anything out there for someone like me, who isn't, but does have really bad eyes?

Contact lens cases rinsed with HOT, boiling TAP water?

Is it bad that I rinsed all my cases with hot, boiling tap water (of course my lenses were not in any of them, I put them in a separate new case I bought), they are right now on the table air drying.would it be dangerous if after they dry, I put new solution into one of them and my contacts in to soak? I know you would be telling me to just use case i just bought but I have a bunch of cases that would come in handy (most of them have never been used that much, only the outside of the right and left cases were dirty hence why I rinsed them) I dont know if I could really do this, Could i save the cases?
Should I just after letting them airdry from hot tap water, rinse again with my solution and let it airdry again?

In laser eye surgery, does the layer that they cut grow back? - 1

I read this:

"Under local anaesthetic a laser cuts out a small disc of tissue in the front of the cornea. The laser passes through the surface of the cornea to outline the tissue to be removed.

Basically will any parts of my eye be missing?

First time contact lenses wearer! :? - 1

I just had my contacts for the first time last night. I've practiced this morning but whenever I put my contacts on one eye it hurts so bad, my eye immediately gets red and wet. I'm very sure that I've placed the contact lens on its right position. I immediately got the contacts oout and when I tried putting it in again, the same thing happened.my eye hurt, got red and really teary. HELP! I really need to learn how to put them on properly becuase I have prom tomorrow and I really need to wear contacts or else I cant see.

Can I use my daily contact lenses for more than one day?

I've been not for a long time using daily contact lenses, I wear them when I get up and throw them away before going to bed, but I'm starting to feel they feel a little too much and they run out very quickly, since I only wear them for one day morning to evening it is nearly 12 hours, aren't they made to last for 24 hours whether continuous or not? I mean, can I keep them in saline overnight and wear them again in the morning? Is there any harm in that? It'll cost me much less and they will last much longer! Is it okay?
Added (1). Of course I will only do this twice, 12 hours today (keep overnight) 12 hours the next day = 24 hours and that's it! I will not wear them for more than that, that's my question - is it okay to do that?

I visited an optometrist yesterday and the optician that this optometrist is affiliated tries to sell me glasses.In fact it is quite expensive and I want to check the prices at other places too. Can I get my prescription from there and take it to somewhere else?

My Ray Bans Have No Tint?

Hey guys so recently I got a pair of New Ray Ban Wayfarers with prescription lenses, the lens themselves are grey with 85% tint according to the sales assistant, but when I got them back and put them on all my friends said they could clearly see my eyes and that it looks like one of those cheap 3D cinema glasses? Strange eye? Worried!

Okay so for the past 2-3 days I've had this really weird eye.

On the first day, I thought it was just a lazy eye… It happened all day but it wasn't any normal lazy eye.It would go and come back, go then come back, so on and so on, all throughout the day! But when it comes back each time I will feel my eye droop and sag and the other feels like it's widening?

I let it slide that day but yesterday it happened all day again and it's an uncomfortable feeling. I can feel it droop and I'll look in the mirror and one eye is sagging like a lazy eye, but it looks weirder than that?

Today I've woken up and it's already happened numerous times!

It's not affecting my sight and I don't have anything in my eye.It's just something that's happening! I wear contact lenses but have done for 3-4 years

Is it okay to put Visine-A onto my eyes and then put in my contacts?

I was wondering if it's okay to wear contacts AFTER putting "Visine-A Allergy Relief" eye drops. Should I wait a couple minutes before putting my contacts on or just wear glasses? Walmart Vision Center contact lenses price match?

So, I'm getting an eye exam along with a contact fitting on Saturday at my local Walmart Vision Center. I found Acuvue contacts for a really great price on OptiContacts.com. If I show them the prices for the contacts on that website during my appointment, do you think they would be willing to do a price match and sell them to me at the same price? Or do you think it's best for me to simply get my prescription from them and go home and order the contacts right off the website? Best colored contacts?

I wear acuvue oasis with hydraclear now… They are the only contacts I can manage to keep in my eyes because they get so dry (birth control, naturally dry skin, and a number of other causes). I'm really wanting to buy a couple boxes of colored contacts to try out… Will my eye doctor give me a trial pair? I'm going in to buy a couple more boxes of my oasis tomorrow as i'm almost out.So can I get a trial pair and if not, about how much is the average box of colored contacts?

Corneal problems with contact lenses?

For the last 9 months I've been experiencing repeated corneal dryness which started happening for no reason that I can identify.My optician and I have been trying to understand what the causes and aggravation factors are. I have stopped wearing contacts till the erosions heal, started again using several types of lubricating drops (all non preservative), only to find that the problem returns causing me discomfort and blurred vision. I am taking fish oil too.My optician can't find a solution and only suggests that if my contacts are uncomfortable not to wear them. Some days I can only wear them for two or three hours, some times longer, but I worry that this is progressive and that I may have to abandon contacts entirely. Does anyone know of any other treatment that is available?

Wearing circle lenses for more than 8 hours?

So I'm going to a convention and I need to wear circle lenses with my costume.don't lecture me about it, I've done tons of research about the good and the bad and after all, I'll only be wearing them three days in a row.and maybe a few extra here and there for photos in the costumes.and then a new pair the next year. I've also never worn contacts before but I've researched the circle lenses that people find to be the most comfortable as well, and I know everyone's eyes are different shapes but it's good if there's a wide variety of people who find a particular lens to be comfortable.

SO. Here's my time frame. From what I understand, you should only wear circle lenses for 6 to 8 hours. I'm going to put them in before doing my makeup so I don't risk having excess makeup on my fingers while putting them in. Doing my makeup will take me 30 minutes do an hour depending on how good I get at doing this look. I guess I'll put on my costume first, to save an hour of me not having the contacts in. Then, it will take an 45 minutes to an hour to actually get to the convention from my house. I don't actually know how much time people spend at these things but this is a big one so there's going to be a LOT to do. I'm thinking we'll be there for about 6 to 7 hours.depending on when we get there and how long the events go on. Then it will take us another 45 minutes to an hour to get home.

I just want to make sure I don't wear them for more than 8 hours. I know there are eyedrops that you can get to hydrate your eyes, but that still won't make you able to wear them for more than 8 hours.

IS IT POSSIBLE to take them out for a half an hour or an hour DURING the con and then put them back in? I would make sure to sanitize my hands, wash them, and put contact solution on my fingers… then I would switch out the old contact solution.or even do that at home after I put them in so it will be ready to go. Would this be possible? Is it too unsanitary in a public area even if I do it in a clean place? Would it not count as enough time with them out to wear them for another few hours? I just need to know so I can plan this!

To anyone else who wears circle lenses… how do you do this, how do you make sure you're good for time? Have you ever been to a con with contacts? How do you make sure you don't wear them for too long?

BONUS QUESTION: What kind of solution is the best to get.and hasn't ever had any recalls! Also what are the best rehydrating drops to get for contacts and can I buy them at CVS?

Why get high index lenses?

I just got new glasses and paid $145 extra for the high index lenses.My old glasses were not high index and made my eyes look really small and someone told me that the high index lenses would fix that. Now that I got my new ones they still make my eyes look the same and the lenses looks thicker! My prescription didnt change much from -5.75 to -6.00. I asked the lady there and she said that they were high index. Should I take them back? What's the point of paying all that money if they're going to look the same?

Can contact lenses melt in heat?

Today I heard a really horrible story of this man at a barbeque who started screaming in pain because the heat of the charcoals had melted the contacts. Apparently, because contacts are made of a really thin plastic, you shouldn't wear them if you'll be cooking, etc.Is that actually true?

Touric lens problems?

I was recently fitted with touric lens. I have an astigmatism and nearsightedness. I have been trying to wear the contacts but am having two issues. One, my peripheral vision is all blurry and its like I am seeing the edge of the contact. Two, my vision is very unfocused and its as if I am looking through saran wrap or something. I went back to the doctor and she assures me that my vision is 20/20 with the contacts and that I just have to get used to them…

Is there a possibility that my contacts were fitted wrong? Has anyone had these issues with tourics?

Does the thickness of eyeglass lens change how big your eyes look to people?

Whenever I get eyeglasses, the eyeglass store offers me different models of "glass" (plastic, really) that they can make my prescription out of. One difference is how "thick" the lens will be. I usually get the mid-tier lens, but was wondering if getting the top-of-the-line, thinnest lens material would make it seem as if it's just normal glass and not make my eyes look bigger than normal (like coke-bottle glasses).

What brand of contacts have the longest wear time?

I am about to have to wear something on my eyes to improve my vision. I believe it will be contacts since I am over 50 and don't like the feel of glasses. I have a narrow nose and it takes forever to find sunglasses to fit. I don't want to change my contacts every night, or every two weeks but the only ones I see longer term are the monthly.Do they make soft lenses that will last 3 moths or are we forced to buy hard lenses?

Why did my optometrist say that I could only use polycarbonate lenses only?

I went to the optometrist for the first time yesterday and in the notes for my prescription, he put "polycarbonate lenses only." I'm not a child so it can't be because they're impact resistant. I have astigmatism in both of my eyes, so I'm wondering if it could be because of that.

What is my vision? (out of 20/20 vision.)?

I'm sending in an audition form and in the form my eyesight is required. I'm assuming that they're asking for my eyesight on a 20/20 scale, but I'm not sure exactly.

I wear glasses and both lenses are slightly different.My left eye is -3.50 and my right is -3.75. They haven't worsened too much in the past 2 years. They've only gone up once by 0.25 on my left eye.

My contact lenses get blurry after a whole day of wearing it. What should I do?

I wear 3.00 and 2.75 contact lenses and without it, I am practically blind. I also wear it almost 10 hours a day.

My problem is when afternoon comes, my contact lenses get really blurry and really uncomfortable to use. I usually clean my eyes out for eye boogers that cloud it but it just won't do.It gets worse and worse as night comes. I always put eye drops on but it is still there. Really inconvenient.

Can anyone help me with this? what is the remedy for this problem?

How to adjust a computer screens focus? (make it blurred etc)?

I'm wondering if it is possible to do this, or if there is a program I can download?
Using MBP running Mac OS 10.8.2.
The reason for this is that I have glasses, and usually take my glasses off when using the computer. Recently I have changed to contact lenses, and so I would need to take my contacts out everytime I jumped on the computer (much more difficult than glasses obviously). If there is a way to adjust the focus on the screen, I wouldn't need to take my contact lenses out. Make the screen blurred, thus making it clear for my eyes.

Why are my eyes red and irritated AFTER I take out my contacts?

I wear contacts. Pretty much all day, every day. I have Biofinity Extended Wear and basically put the new ones straight in after take out the old ones. I dislike wearing my glasses and probably only wear them once every month or two. The thing is… on the RARE occasion when I do wear my glasses my eyes get REALLY red and irritated after about 5 or 6 hours. Why is this happening? I'm trying to give my eyes a chance to "rest" from the contacts and instead I end up with irritated eyes. Then my eyes are fine again a little while after I put the contacts back in. Whats going on?

Why Can't My Optician Get My Contacts In?

Well I'm 15 years old turning 16 soon & I really want contact lenses because I hate my glasses & my sisters wedding is soon & I really want contacts for the wedding. Anyways, my optician has tried many times to put contacts in but it hurts when he even touches the eye slightly(Stinging sensation) & he just can't get both of them in, he has managed to get one in before but couldn't get the other in, my eyes just shut even if I relax them.

Is this dissociation, and is there anything I can do to stop it?

I'm a 17 year old girl. Ever since I was like 7 or 8, I've been having these weird episodes where I feel kind of zoned out and "disconnected" from reality. During these times, I'm slow to react to things and sometimes it takes a second to understand what people are saying. I feel like I'm moving through some kind of fog, and I find myself staring off into space in the same direction a lot. I can still function, but I'm not too fun to be around and can't feel emotions as sharply.

These things happen maybe once or twice a week, for roughly an hour at a time. I used to think they were just completely random, but lately I've noticed sort of a pattern. I think it has something to do with changes in my vision… For example, I have both glasses and contact lenses. I have really dry eyes, so I can't wear contacts all the time. Some days I wear the contacts, and other days I just wear glasses. If I put in my contacts as soon as I wake up in the morning, I'm usually fine. But if I put them in later in the day, I almost always get some measure of the "zoned out" feeling afterward.It also happens a lot after I use the computer for more than an hour or two, or after I spend a lot of time reading or focusing on something. Basically, I think it's brought on by staring at the same thing for too long, or by changing the way my eyes focus by switching from glasses to contacts.

The only thing that helps or reduces this feeling is exercising, but even that doesn't make it go away entirely. I have reduced how often it happens by doing sit ups or jogging when it happens, and tried to prevent it by putting in my contacts right away in the morning, but it still randomly happens sometimes.

I'm wondering if what I've been describing is actually dissociation at all… Because from what I've read, dissociation is just a mental thing, and this seems to have a physical cause. Also does anyone have any tips on treatment? I can't go to a psychologist or other doctor about it, my parents are old-fashioned and think mental help is only for "crazy" people. Plus I've told them about my issue, but they just kinda dismiss it because they can't see what it's like from the inside. (I've learned to act pretty normal when it happens.)

This feeling doesn't seriously interrupt my life, but it's just… really annoying. Especially if it happens when I have to have an important conversation or I'm out with my friends.

OKAY! I just put my contact lenses in for the first ever time. And I think they'r ein wrong. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to them, BUT, they feel weird. Hey, I have soft monthly disposible prescription contact lenses and high astigmatism. After putting them in I realized my left eye was very out of focus but I ignored it. How bad is my eye sight?

I recently had an eye exam where he told me I had a slight astigmatism but not enough that he was really concerned about prescribing different lenses for each eye.

My glasses prescription is:
OD- SPH -2.5, CYL -0.25, AXIS 008
OS- SPH -2.25, CYL -0.75, AXIS 018

My contact prescription is:
CL OD -2.5
RX OS -2.5

How bad actually are my eyes? And my astigmatism? Everyone who's ever taken my glasses thinks I'm blind haha. What does the prescription actually mean? And what's considered really bad on the scale. I know it ranges from -10.00 to +6.00.Is -10.00 considered really bad? Would my -2.5 be kind of borderline?

What do you guys think of contact lenses?

Well I just don't have the face for glasses, my mom has paid a lot of money. Non of them seem to be working for me.My last pair I can deal with because they have stars on the frames, but I just don't feel comfortable in them. I feel like a dork! I am 15, turning 16 this June, and I convinced my Mom that I was old enough and responsible for contacts. She agreed, and she is making the appointment as soon as we get some extra money in the bank which is not too long from now. We don't have the money for the One-a-days, or the tinted kind. Just basic once that you clean every day. I got a few questions though about contacts.

Will I have a hard time inserting them? I can put eyeliner right on the waterline, and I can put mascara on just fine. Eye drops I flinch a little bit, but it's not world war three when I do it. I know with Contacts they go right on the eyeball.

Does it hurt as first to insert?

Wil the doctor show me how?

Will it take a few days to get it right?

Any other stuff I need to know? Any good websites out there with articles?

Should I not care about what girls think?

So usually I attend College looking disheveled and geeky because I really can't be bothered dressing up. But last week I bought some lenses so ditched my glasses and decided to wear a little eye make up. I thought I'd also make an effort to look smart so wore a nice jacket (usually i wear a long coat) and tied my hair into a perfect bun (my hair is usually scruffy).

Anyway after I finished College these girls in my class asked me if I 'd walk home with them I said "no, I'm going to hang around town for a bit"(I wanted to buy a mothers day gift for my mum) then they said "ooh who are you going to meet?" … I said "no one."

Then the girls said laughing "laura's going clubbing tonight" and I said no I'm not the type(never been clubbing in my life, I'm an introvert). But they kept joking that I'm going out partying somewhere.

then she asked me again "who are you going to meet?" so I said to her " it's none of your business!" since I got annoyed. Then the other girl said "that means she is meeting up with someone, (then she whispered) no-wonder she's dressed up" I also think they talk behind my back since I changed my look.

Now I'm wondering if I should go back to my scruffy ways since girls make such a big deal about such things? they probably think I have a secret boyfriend or something??? i don't know why they are so interested anyway?

Or should I not care about what people think??? but i can't help it and I'm wondering if they think I'm an undercover sluuut :( they were probably teasing me.but i really want to change my look in order to get a decent job, what are some good comebacks i can say to people?? I've always had confidence issues.

Anyway, it's not like I had a big makeover or anything just that I wore lenses and a nice jacket.

My Parents won't Let Me Get Contact Lenses?

Hi everyone, I am a 16-almost 17 year old student wearing glasses since 10 years old. I have begged my parents to let me wear contacts since I was 14 and so far, it has gotten me nowhere. Money isn't a problem because my parents are working abroad in a very wealthy oil company aanndd we are millionares: p. Responsibility isn't a problem either. I am in boarding school (private high school) and I have been living on my own (its basically like college but high school) in my dorm since I was 15. I got here not from my family's wealth, but by my academic scholarship that pays full tuition and boarding.My sister who is 13 has contacts. Is it normal to 'feel' your contact lenses? (New wearer)?

Hi,
I got trial contact lenses about 3 days ago. Have been wearing them everyday for the recommended hours by my optometrist. I am going back next week, which is earliest I can go back for my check up, and to see how they are going.

I have a question I am curious about.
I have been cleaning them properly, placing them the right way and what not, but I can sort of 'feel' the contact lenses in my eye. They do not hurt, itch or anything, but everytime I blink I can sort of feel it in my eye.

Is this normal for new wearers or am I definitely doing something wrong?

Red Veins in my eyes?

What should I do if I suspect of having corneal neovascularization?
I am 25 yrs old, and have made the mistake of extending the usage of my contact lenses. I have noticed red veins around my iris. I have brown eyes, so maybe even into the iris and I wouldn't see it … After a quick search I suspect I may have corneal neovascularizaion.
I don't have any pain or discomfort, but I have suspended contact lens wear for a week now, and there is not change.Is there anything I can do to help this? Based on what I have read online, the damage is done, and can not be reversed.Is this really true? Or should I head over to the ophthalmologist and maybe a prescription would help? Has anybody had experience with this type of problem?

Can I get turquoise blue in freshlook for astigmatism??? If so then how come when I asked them that they said they didn't have them in that color in 2012??? Or is it that they have more colors in freshlook since its 2013???
