Is it ok if your contact lenses bend?

I own monthly 'soft' contact lenses, and sometimes, when I take them out, they bend. They usually pop back to a normal position when i release them, but I'm worried this might cause damage to my lenses. Does it?

I have 20/20 vision and im 14 i cant even explain how much i want glasses, just give me some ways to make my eyes need glasses, like for reading and wrtting or just all the time, dont bother commenting "why would you do that" or "most people would kill for 20/20 vision" i dont care this is my decision please just help me,

Added (1). i wore my dads reading glasses for about 10 minutes and they are quite strong, when i took them off i had a head ache and my eyes were blurry for about 2 minutes, maybe if i do this for longer it will make my eyes bad?

Do I really need new glasses?

I went to get my eyes tested last week simply cause I needed an recent prescription. With my glasses I was easily able to read all the lines without any problem. Then the doctor checked my eyes without glasses and asked which is better --- first/second for different sets of letters. He then told me that my astigmatism has done up 0.5 in my right eye but everything else is the same. I have had this prescription for the past 8 years with no problem so do I really need to get new glasses or can I just continue to wear the same glasses. I hate getting new prescription cause my eyes take for ever to adjust to it. Or should I get my eyes retested in case there was some error in testing the first time.
Added (1). @ Footprintz-- ideally how much change in power and cylinder would require new glasses?

Freshlook Colors vs CooperVision Expressions? What's more natural looking?

What's more natural looking on dark hazel eyes? I was thinking getting either gray or blue color, however, Freshlook Colors doesn't have grays so I'd go with blue. I just don't want to have bright blue eyes, just normal/natural blue shade.
So far I've tried Freshlook Colorblends in Gray and Sterling Gray, and both colors look awful and very unnatural on the eye.

I have wrinkles already?

Basically, I am 16 and I have wrinkles. I don't have the common forehead wrinkles. However, I have like lines underneath my eyes. Plus, I've got like dark eyebags underneath my eyes which I have to cover with concealer. Also, the other sign of wrinkles I have is on the bridge of my nose. I basically have a few lines there. I know what may have caused the wrinkles on my nose. Basically, when I was 12, my eyesight got worse and worse and I didn't want to wear glasses which caused me to squint. I think that has paid a part in it. Also, I do now wear contact lenses and glasses so I don't need to squint anymore. How can I get rid of them?

Can you get lasik if you have had a retinal detachment repaired?

i had a retinal detachment when i was 12 years old and had it repaired shortly after. I'm 24 now and have to wear contact lenses in both eyes because my eyesight is soon bad. Could I get Lasik done to repair my vision? I see it on television all the time and wonder if i could get it done. Thanks!

So how do I fix my seratonin problems from meth exposure in womb?

I am diagnosed with ADHD and have lived with myself long enough to know I have General Anxiety Disorder.

Common among people who were exposed to meth in the womb i feel the need to tense my muscles for no reason due to my amygdule (A part of the brain) causing stress signals to misfire. I have bad eye hand coordination, have to wear expensive prescription lenses that i pay avg for now until I'm not young enough to keep focusing my eyes (im 18).

The worst part is the constant replaying of things in my head that causes stress that can't be stopped by words unless it's a piece of information that can help me avoid the problems. I hate taking prescription amphetamines for my ADHD because that ability to focus makes me obsess over everything.

I need medication for my amygdule problem. I dont call it depression rather than saying screw life I worry about everything. I'm always worried about uncertainty about everything including myself and I'm tired of it. I just want to know what is out there that can help me.

Why are my eyes red?

I find that recently the whites of my eyes have been extremely reddened. It is wintertime, and my eyes usually tear up due to the wind and cold weather, but they have never reacted as they do now.

I also have hard contact lenses, having gotten them in August.

My eyes do not hurt when they are red, in fact, the redness would otherwise go unnoticed by me if I didn't look in the mirror or have friends point it out throughout the day.

So… Why are my eyes red and how do I prevent it?

(I put in eyes drops this morning and it did not help.)

I ve never had corrective lenses before but had an eye test the other day before an upcoming medical just in case.

I have a prescription of R -0.75 and L -0.50, but what does this mean in terms of visual acuity, ie. 6/6, 6/9 etc?

Whats wrong with my contact lenses? - 1

i bought two boxs of the ones my doctor subscribed and when i put them on they make my vision ten times worse. It gets really blurry? Theyre tinted green contacts for light eyes(but the pupil bit is just clear) so at first i thought maybe that had something to do with it but its not ): i spent a fair amount of money on contacts and now they are unwearable ): im gonna make an appointment with my dr tomorrow.

also ive tried 4 different lenses (2 from each box) and im having the same issue, did he get my prescription wrong?

ive also tried wearing the.25 in both eyes as one is worse and thought maybe a lower script would help but it didnt!

What is this itchy bump on/below my eyelid?

I noticed it yesterday morning only because it was itchy in class, then when I got home I realised it was red and there was a bump. It's on my right eye(left side of pic), the lower eye lid on the side closer to my nose-in the pictures it's right where my iris punches my eyelid-it's not very noticeable but it's itchy and there's a bump.
What is it?
What caused it?
What can I do for it?
Can I still wear my contact lenses?

Is my eye prescription bad? - 1

Ok so my new glasses came in today and I went to school and my friends said my eyes were bad because the lenses looked thick. My left eye is -4.00 and my right is -3.00. I also want to know if my eyes will ever get any worse. I am 14. I've had glasses since 4th grade and every year they've gotten worse I just want to know if it'll ever stop. Thanks.

Contact lens fears advice?

I'm shortsighted, no idea on the specifics but I've been wearing glasses for about 4 years. I've never had the self confidence to wear my glasses outside the house/school but my lack of vision outside does upset me so during the past year I've been wanting contact lenses.

I tried to get them in Halloween break 2013 and the optician got one half in my eye before I flipped out and wouldn't let her try again. I went at the end of summer to try again and I panicked as soon as I sat down in the chair and literally left as soon as she had the contact lens on her finger. They're pretty done with my sh!t lol, but I really am desperate for them now so I'm trying again in about a month's time and I really want it to be third time lucky, I'm determined to crack this fear and get them.

I've figured my problem is, I have a strong flinch reflex when I see the finger coming towards my eye and I blink whenever it's being put in. I'm scared of the thought of getting it out too:/

1. How can I teach myself to not flinch whenever the optician's first putting the lens in?
2. How can I avoid blinking whenever the lens actually goes on my eyes?
3. What can I do to avoid feeling sick and nervous before my appointment?
4. Is it hard to get the lenses out?
5. Other general advice?

every year I have to get a new prescription for contacts, lenses, glasses, and pay for an appointment. I would think that over time, it would be more cost effective for both the employee and the insurance company to pay for one procedure, if not just part of it, than to pay for all the future bills. I tried calling my insurance provider and they said it wasn't covered. I tried contacting my home office and they told me to contact my insurance? Is there anything else I could possibly do?

My uncle just bought me Twilight Pink Circle Lenses, and I don't exactly know how to take care of them.
What do I have to do on a daily basis, and every day before I wear them?
How long until they expire?
I haven't worn contacts before. What do I have to do to not have irritated eyes?
Do I have to soak them before I wear them?
What cleaning products do I use? Where do I get it and for how much?
How do I prepare them for going in my eyes? Like, when I am just about to put them in, what do I do?
Is it true they can go to the backs lf your eyes and you have to get surgery to get them out?
Are they scary to wear?
How long should I wear them at time? I go to conventions a lot, and I plan to be wearing them for longer than 6 hours if I can? What do I need to do?
can I sleep with them or do I need to take them out before i nap? (Im pretty sure you can't?)
Please give me everything possible I will need to do. I really don't want anything bad happening to my eyes.

My optometrist did not measure my eyes' base curve, diameter etc. When prescribing contacts?

My eye doc didnt make measurements for my eyes. I ordered acuvue oasys contacts. The base curve of the contact is 8.6 and diameter is 14.5. My right eye feels perfectly fine but my left eye feels weird. I feel that when a look to the extreme right or left, my left eye vision blurs a little. My left eye feels dry and strained. Is this normal? Is it just a period of adjustment or there's something wrong with the measurements? I've worn coloured contacts for a few times though.

What are the best contact lenses? - 2

I m new to contacts and just got a trial of Dailies Total 1. They are incredibly comfortable but I have nothing to compare them to. Also, I think I would prefer non-daily contacts. Unless daily contacts are better in some way? Any info is appreciated.
Added (1). If it matters, I'm only using contacts in one of my eyes.

Can I wear my trial contact lenses for 2 weeks?

I was prescribed Acuvue Oasys and was given trial lenses to wear home. It wasn't specified how long I could wear them, but my doctor said 'you can even wear them for a week if you want'. The Acuvue Oasys brand is a 2 week disposable so I'm assuming I could wear these for 2 weeks? The ones I ordered aren't here yet and I'd hate to have to stop wearing lenses before they come in the mail.

Why are my eyelashes falling out?

Im aware that eyelashes fall out all the time but this isnt the case. For the past several weeks my lashes have been falling out at a huge rate. I didnt pay much attention to this until recently. My eyelashes used to be naturally nice curvy and thick but now theyre very low with gaps in between.
-I do wear contact lenses ( i though the contact solution may be the problem but i doubt it)
-I even stopped using mascara cause i was afraid more was going to fall out
-I dont have any discharge or redness

Added (1). I bought some circle lenses for Halloween and wore them that night. I then put them into the solution they came with and have left them in my lense case since - 17 days ago. There weren't any care instructions with lenses so I have no clue now whether I can wear them again (as they are so pretty) or if I should just throw them away, because they have been in the solution for so long. I took one of my contact lenses out today and noticed a very small chip on the edge. I'm not sure how that happened, but I wear disposable Acuvue Oasys soft lens. Is it still safe to wear or should I throw them out? They're a trial pair that I've been wearing for a week and I'd hate to have to stop wearing them now because I'm waiting for my contacts to come in the mail.

Should I wear them still or not? It's just a very small chip on the edge, would it cause any real harm if I continue to wear them for a couple more days?

i recently tried wearing colored zero power contact lenses. Its my first time, its not very uncomfortable but why does it make my vision blurry? Its zero power so why does it make my eyes blur? Is it normal? Should i continue use and i'll adapt to it and it will be fine or i am doing something wrong?

Vriska Serket Cosplay Help?

Im planning on doing a vriska cosplay and have a few questions
first off is her robot arm
i found a tutorial on how to do it and it looks fairly good, but i would like something very detailed. I know i've seen people put wires (since its robotic and all) do you have any tips for the wires, and detail in general? (im aiming for the arms like these: , , )

also, her glasses
i was planning on painting the left eye black to make it look good, but of course id be blind in one eye and im not 100% sure if itd look good
id prefer not to switch out lenses from a second pair of glasses for this
is there a way to tint the left lens so its black but i can still see through it like sunglasses, or will i have to deal with being half-blind?
