Why don't they make contact lenses with filters?

What I mean by that is that they improve the way that we see things, (not clearly), but for example the contact lense could increase contrast and make objects and people appear to be visually more colorful and bright than a normal person would see. I know it is possible, but why don't they make something like this? Especially since we use Instagram filters to beautify our images, why not contact lenses?

How to get used to wearing glasses again after contacts?

I just started wearing contact lenses about 2 weeks ago. Every night I would take my contacts out though and wear glasses before i go to bed. I skipped wearing glasses for a few days and now when I try wearing my glasses at night, my vision is distorted and weird when wearing my glasses. I know this is because my brain got used to wearing contacts instead of glasses now, but the distortedness i'm getting while wearing glasses is really bothering me. I really wanna be able to switch between them without having a problem, is this possible?

Is there something wrong with my eye?

I'm a wrestler as well as I do wear contact lenses, I've only had problems with my eye starting since the day before yesterday, I've been sick for 4 days with a really high fever, heavy congestion in the nasal passages, severe head ache, and frequent stomach movement in both the top and lower abdonomon. Today, I woke up with a discharge (white, but then dried to an orange-brownish color) sealing my right eye shut which I then proceeded to wash away and pat dry. Also the discharge tends to "leak" when tears fall. When I pull back my eye lids, my eyes are heavily red and blood shot. I do not smoke. I'm not allergic to the solution for my contacts but however, I do think my contacts themselves can be the trigger to the problem. Thank you for your time. Is there something wrong with my eye

Is it safe to wear contacts if they were in the solution for 4 days?

Hi, I have circle lenses. I know how to properly care for them. But I have a quick question, I put them in new solution and haven't used them in 4 days I believe. So, Can I put them in my eyes, though they've been in the solution for 4 days, is that safe?

Is there any alternatives to fml for dry eyes?

I've had dry eyes at around 14years old before I was short sightedness. Contact lenses mad a huge difference in soothing the pain. For years until I got fishing syndrome which contactlenses help a bit from white strings been on my eyeballs. Recently been to eye doctor who wanted me to try out fml to see if that inflamation could be the problems. So far the 5 days I've been using it seems to help my eyes not to feel dry and tear film feels better but I know the side effects could cause cataracts in future. I take 1 drop morning and at night and have less white strings

Is it possible to get a scratched cornea without realizing?

Is it possible to get a scratched cornea without realizing?
Added (1). I woke up this morning and noticed a small irritated area on my eye, right against the edge of the iris. I thought it was just an irritation until later when I went to take my contact lenses out and on that eye it felt like the lens was still there. The seemingly-irritated area is still there. I don't feel anything, and didn't feel anything overnight when the scratch, or whatever happened, must have occurred.

My symptoms don't match up with those of a corneal abrasion, so what else might it be?

Weaker prescription for contact lenses then needed?

I want a pair of blue contacts online in my prescription (-1.50) but the ones I found only have the left eye available in -1.25. Is it safe to wear the -1.25 contact even if both my eyes are -1.50? Would it help if I just get them both in -1.25? I would only have them on for eight hours at the longest (and that would only be in extreme cases).

What's the harm in using a monthly lens for 3 months?

Google search suggests all softlenses are made of similar materials, and there's no medical reason that a monthly lens used for 3 months increases the risk of eye damage any more than using a 3 month lens for 3 months.
Why can't I purchase monthlies and replace them after three months, instead of purchasing the quarterly lenses (quarterlies are more expensive).

Why don't I need glasses?

It seems like everyone my age needs glasses and contact lenses. I dont get why I don't need glasses yet, especially when both my parents need them. Plus I read a lot and sometimes strain my eyes reading in the dark. I feel like I'm one of the only people at school who doesn't need glasses. Why?

How to know what strength readers to use?

I have pain with reading and this has been since I was 39. It started when I went for a glaucoma test two years ago. I don't know if my eyes got hurt or if it's just typical aging. How can I tell? My prescription is +5.5 right eye, +8.0 left eye (which is a lazy eye). I have tried different readers over my contact lenses but it still hurts. I've tried +1.25 and +1.75. Should I try something even stronger? How can I know which strength to try (it never becomes blurry- I can always adjust my focus to see whether I use no glasses or strong ones. I think because my eyes have been bad all my life I just got used to focusing really hard)? Thanks for your help!

Can you use multipurpose solution directly in the eye?

I have this ReNu something moisturizing drops that the doctor asked me to use once in the middle of the day while using contacts. If I go without using them for more that 6 hours, i start to feel the presence of the lenses on my eyes. It's hard to explain, my eyes don't hurt, but I start being aware that there's something in the eyes which should not be there. But putting in a drop of this ReNu thing resolves the problem within a minute of two.

I've run out of the rewetting solution. Can I use a drop of the cleaning/ storing (multipurpose) solution directly on the eye? Will is work the same way as the re-wetting drops? Or will it make things worse?
Will it be harmful for the eyes or the lenses?

Can you only use contact lenses and have no glasses?

I'm a 15 year old female and am starting to get short-sighted vision.

I want to wear contact lenses since I feel I will not be confident otherwise.

I was wondering if you need glasses along with contact lenses. As in, after you take them out at night or whatever, you put on your pair of glasses.

So if it necessary to have both contact lenses AND glasses or can you dow with just contact lenses?

Cannot put contact lens in?

I'm following EVERY instruction my doctor gave me, yet it's just near impossible- I must be doing something wrong.
IMPORTANT: the problem is only with my LEFT eye, I can put on the RIGHT eye lens in less than 3 tries. But for the LEFT eye, it takes more than 20 tries, and I end up with ugly (RED) shade in the white of the eye (probably a result of fooling around with the eye for such a long time, probably because the lens is drying up in my hand while m attempting to put it in)

DESCRIPTION: It looks like the lens is way too THIN, too moist, or something. I put it on the eye (just as I am doing with the other eye), but at the first blink, it folds onto itself-forming a semi circle, and falls off the eye. This problem is not present on the other lens for the other eye.

Please help
