Can you get clear sunglasses?

Sometimes the light at work is too bright, makes my eyes dry, hurt and feel tired.

Can you get clear sunglasses, which makes things look darker/less bright, but just look like normal, clear glasses?
Added (1). I don't want the glasses to look dark like sunglasses, but clear like prescription glasses (even when they're blocking light).

I have glasses (myopia) but they don't help, as they don't change the brightness or amount of light that's passing through, just the clarity.
Added (2). I found computer glasses, which dim blue light and are anti-glare.

What flashes to use?

I am a beginner with a rebel t5. I want to upgrade to a flash but I don't know what to get. Eventually I would like to buy a more professional body but these names and terms have me confused.

For instance can I buy a speedlite with HSS and ETTL or would I have to buy one of those transreceiver things thats HSS TTL capable? Sorry if I'm not making sense. Like I said, im just beginning. I hear everyone talk about Youngnuo but can I use a 3rd party flash?

What do girls think about guys wearing colored contacts?

I know it's fake, but I'm able to get colored lenses FOR FREE (cousin works at a company). Now, I can continue wearing normal contacts but I would have to pay 60$ a month for them.

I don't want to be considered fake or something, so I'm even considering PAYING for normal contacts. But I actually look really good and NATURAL with blue lenses…

Is it harmful to look into a projector lens?

The projector was on a table and I was talking to someone on the other side of the table. During these about 3 minutes I had to look into the projector lens for a couple of times (distance: about half a table). So my question is: Can the retina/the eye be damaged from looking into a projector lens? Should I see a doctor?

Why do solution and contact case instructions say to not fill the case up all the way?

I have just casually noticed this. Sometimes they say "do not fill the lens case all the way to the top with solution" or something to that effect.

Is there a reason for this? Just curious…

Whats going on with my eyes?

I know this question is long but thanks in advance for any help. I have scheduled a eye doc appointment for the 29th in 5 days. Okay. So as a bit of back history. I over-wore my contact lenses for about a month or so. I slept in them, etc and I also severely over used vasconstrictors like visine and clear eyes for red eyes multiple times per day. (I stopped using these products about 4 days ago) The contacts I wear are Airoptix for astigmatism bran
So one night I noticed my left eye got super red and blood shot one night so I took both contacts out and threw them away. Anyways I took them out and I had some anti biotic drops I used for about 4 days while I had them out and I wore glasses. My eyes cleared up and even look clear to an extent, but I have these red prominent veins in the whites of my eye that never used to be there. They are more prominent in the left than right eye. My eyes have no pain or anything like that. I bought brand new contacts, brand new solution and all that and just tried to wear my contacts, there was no pain or anything and i could see fine. I had the contacts in for only like 2 or 3 hours, and the veins seemed to get worse and my eyes werent "bloodshot" per say but my eyes were not white like normal. It's been 30 mins since I took the contacts out of my eyes. They are still red with veins n stuff but have slightly improved. The pics I posted are from like 5 secs ago. The pic quality doesnt really show the veins

i know this is long thank you in advance

How to sterilize contact lenses?

I wore this new pair of contact lenses once while in China and contracted pink eye while wearing them. That was the only time I ever wore them but it feels like a waste to never use them again. Is there a way to sterilize them so they could be used? Thanks!

Anyone wear daily contact lenses, the kind you wear once a day and throw out?

If so, how are they? How were they when you first tried them on to replace your eyeglasses? It looks like I may have to switch to contacts from glasses in the near future and I have never worn them. Are they a pain to change every day? Thanks.

Is $400 enough for new glasses?

I know you can't really tell how much it will be by here but yeah
The eye exam will cost about $40 and the glasses i want are about $60 and my prescription last time was about 1.0 so i don't know how much the lenses would cost… Sorry. I don't have insurance either. And I'm paying for them because my mom won't buy me new ones any time soon. Do you think it'll be enough?
I'm sorry if the question is stupid.
thank you. (:

Still can't see with prescription glasses?

So, I'm 16 years old, and I've seen a lot of optometrists in my life. But whenever I get glasses or contacts, I still can't see as far as other people I know.

A teacher may hold some box with a tiny letter on it in the back of the class, and, with the exception of me and maybe one other person, the whole class can read it.

In the cafeteria, I can't read the some of the bigger words on the signs on the other side of the cafeteria that my friends can read.

When I'm out on the road with my parents, if I'm driving anything faster than 35 mph I wouldn't be able to read a street name in time to slow down and turn into it if I had to without my parents reading it out for me.

And another strange thing. When it's dark, for some reason a range of lights seem to become blurred to me. For example, if the lights are off in the house, the electronic clock in the kitchen uses blue light. With my glasses on, I can see everything around it clearly, but for some reason the blue light is blurry AF.

For another example, if I'm on the road at night, the yellow and green traffic lights become blurry as heck and the street signs that have a light flashing on it (like in intersections) also become slightly blurred. The range of colors seem to go from yellow to green to blue.

But this isn't anything new to me. I've been like this my whole damn life and I am absolutely sick of it. I want to find answers but google doesn't seem to cut it for me. Can anyone explain why my eyesight is like this?

Acuvue contact lenses? - 1

so i'm thinking about getting contacts. And I would definitely buy the 2 week acuvue oyasis brand but I have a few questions.

1) if I were to get the "12 pack", does that only last 3 months or is that 6 months?
2) i'm aware that one pair of contact lenses is only supposed to be worn within 2 weeks. But if I were to open a pack in the beginning of the two weeks, but only wear it like 9/14 days, could I keep wearing them after two weeks? So I WOULD be wearing it a total of 14 times, just not within 2 weeks. Is that okay, or would they expire? (I would still take care of them as per usual)
3) how much did YOU pay for the fitting fee? (for getting contacts for the first time)

thank you guys so much!(:

How to use Lightroom 6?

Not necessarily as in "How does the program work?", but more like, what do I do? I'm suuuuper new to photography. Like, when I take a picture, it's fine to me. I don't even see problems in a photo or what I should touch-up, edit, make lighter, make darker, etc. I think it's good enough, but I bet if a professional looked at my photo, he'd edit a bunch of stuff. How do you get the "eye" for knowing what to edit in your photos?

I'm anxious about getting contacts?

I've been wearing glasses for seven years, and now I think I may commit to these eye fixing contact lenses. You're supposed to wear them at night and they'll fix your vision. I'm a 17 year old girl and I'm going to enter my senior year of high school. I haven't NOT worn glasses in so long! I'm scared I'll look weird or my eyes are going to be small (I'm Asian). I do want these lenses bc glasses are kind of a hinderance, but how can I feel more confident?

Thank you!

Can UV-blocking contact lenses make your eyes lighter over time?

UV rays are a trigger for melanin production. If you prevent UV light from reaching your eyes by wearing UV-blocking contact lenses, will the color of your eyes become lighter over some time? I mean, if you already have light eyes, like green or blue, will they become even lighter?

The cylinder of contact lens prescription?

My daughters cylinder on her contact lens prescription changed from -1.25 & -3.75 to -3.75 in both eyes. Does this mean they are worse or better?
Added (1). Does that mean her eyes are worse or better?
Added (2). Bemd, this bothers me. The Dr. Told my daughter her eyes were much better from last year. He walked right past me & never said a word about what is going on. Can her eyes be better but, her astigmatism worse?

Negative-color Contacts?

Hi!

So, im just curious, is there a such thing as Negative-color contacts?

No, i do not mean the scarla ones (I believe thats what there called)

I am looking for ones that allow you to SEE in negative color.

Like, on most phones, when taking a photo you have the negative-color option and it takes your photos in that color.

Is there contacts that can make everything appear in this negative-color pallet?

If so, what are they called?

Thank you!

My Poor Glasses eyes what can I do for them and my head?

Whenever I go to NYC. I get a headache not a migraine but just ta bad headache. I go about several times a year with friends and family; somewhere between 5-10 times a year if not more times a year. I know it's cause of all the bright lights I was wondering if there was vision therapy or something that can pre pare my eyes for going down there so I don't get a headache. I do however have perscription transition glasses that I wear 24/7. I was wondering if I should put sunglasses on insted or inadation or get perscription sunglasses. Please let me know what I can do thanks in advance. Also please note I hardely ever get headaches otherwise,; maybe 5 or 6a month at the most. Also I used to get head aches in high school that was like 6 years ago but since I have been in college I haven't gotten headaches at all maybe like 3 or 4 times in the past 3 years other than when I go to NYC. When I was in high school I had to wear slightly tinted glasses with brown tinted lenses. I used to get headaches in high school about 2 or 3 if not more times a week. I don't know why I would get them but when I got one I had to go to the nurse and it was a tension headache she said and I had to put ice on it for 10-15 min. And massage my head and take 2 asprin and put on my special tinted glasses that I ended up wearing all the time in high school but never now. Also when I get a headache should I put heat or ice on it? I do also have compound astigmatism and wear glasses 24/7.

Is it normal to have blurry vision with contact lenses?

I just got contacts after wearing only glasses for years. I find that at times throughout the day, my vision gets blurry when I am wearing the contacts. It happens sometimes when I am looking at the computer screen and it also sometimes happens when I am exercising, or sometimes I feel like I am doing nothing to bring it on.

I called the optometrist and he said that it's the nature of contact lenses that this happens. He said that the lens sometimes moves out of alignment in the eye and vision may blur somewhat until it moves back into alignment. Sounded logical. But, I prefer my glasses I told him because everything is always clear. He again reiterated that the glasses don't have the same issue with coming out of alignment. The coverage they provide is whole, but the lens can shift somewhat. He also mentioned that dryness can cause it, but I sometimes get blurry vision in the morning when I just put them in and they are still moist.

Is this right? Do all contact lens wearers experience blurry vision sometimes? I have astigmatism if that matters.

Thanks

I don't feel my contacts looking down but I feel them looking straight?

This is my first time wearing contacts, I have a trial pair right now. While they're a tiny bit more comfortable than they were on the first day (my eyes were all irritated and dry, even tearing up a little made my eyes sting), I can still feel them very much feel them. The weird thing is, I can't feel them as much when I'm looking down, say at my phone or a laptop screen. But when I look straight, I feel them every time I move my eyes and blink. Again it's not as uncomfortable but bottom line it's still uncomfortable.

Should I get a different brand? Again I'm still on trial contacts and if these don't work out, my optometrist said he would let me try another. But, a lens fitting costs about ~$100 and I'm not sure if my parents can spare $100 for a different trial pair. (I've got two other siblings who need glasses)

Any help would be appreciated!

Left my contact lenses in for two days: is this an issue?

My contact lenses are supposed to be changed every two weeks, but I am not supposed to be sleeping in them. I more or less collapsed from exhaustion two nights in a row, so I didn't take them out.

I took them out last night. My right eye is completely fine, but my left eye hurts. There is no change in appearance of this eye: everything looks fine. Should I be worried, or will the pain die down as normal?
