Got my trial contact lenses yesterday I had to be trained to put them on and I guess all the poking made my eyes sore a bit so I decided to not wear them today.
Do I have to clean them today or can I just leave them stored in their case with solution until tomorrow?

Uh i am in such a dilemma i wear contacts, but have been told not to wear them in heat because they will irritate my eyes and cause negative effects.

but my full time job is in in heat with smoke everywhere:(

What are Extended Wear Contact Lenses?

I wear soft daily contact lenses and it is annoying me having to take them out and remember when I put them in and then start wearing glasses for the rest of the day.

I heard about Extended Wear Contact Lenses that are designed for you to sleep in them for days if not weeks without taking them out once, is this true?

My only problem is I have astigmatism, is this a problem?

What are Monthly Contact Lenses? - 1

Does that mean you can wear them, take them out every day and then use the exact same contact lenses again the next day and put them back in your eye?

Or does it mean you can put them in your eye and not have to do anything for the next 4 weeks and then you can take them out? So they are sitting in your eye for the entire 4 weeks?

What can be done with my eye?

I was born with a cataract on my lens in my right eye. When the doctor removed the cataract, they got blood in my eye, put silicone in and made me permanently blind. It was lazy, I got the muscles tighten at 13. It fixed that part. I'm trying to see if there is a procedure for something to get a fake lens put in to possibly see. My regular eye doctor pretty much told me that there's nothing that can be done, Lasik wouldn't work. Other eye doctors tell me they will look and see, and never call back. Please help!

I wore my contact lenses in the shower, will I get an infection or go blind?

I accidentally forgot to take out my contact lenses (daily ones) today before I took a shower. I realised after about 10 minutes in the shower that I had forgotten about them so I immediately went to take them out. Will this cause me to get an eye infection or go blind?

When to replace contact lenses?

I ve had my contact lenses for almost about a year now I think and I ve started to where them again about 3 weeks ago. A friend told me that he has a monthly pair and that you re suppose to replace your lenses because it could cause eye infections/discomfort. I haven t been experiencing any discomfort or eye infections, so is it safe?

Dropped my damn color contact lens in my bathroom sink drain. What the hell should i do?

Just bought color lenses from the store today and after 30 minutes of trying to put them in one falls in the drain. I might be able to pick it back up but my main concern is if i should soak it and clean it in the opti free cleanser or just totally forget about it because of the dirt. Help me please! Really dont want to have spended $25 for nothing.

My contacts make my eyes hurt?

I wear my contacts up to 2 or 3 times a day, sleeping in them. Then I clean them and sleep one night without them. My eye doctor has said its fine to do so. But, my eyes have been hurting a lot when i take them out and my contacts get blurry after using them for half the day. Please help

Feeling old and ugly?

Wherever I go, every girl in my social environment is so pretty with beautiful hair, eyes and skin. All the guys talk to them, and they just look so confident and gorgeous. I can't help feeling like a dorky, ugly old hag.

Yesterday a guy said about me: on a scale from 1 to 20. I'd give her 12. Plus, she isn't my age so you cannot really take me seriously. This comment made me feel worse cause in my early 20s and the guy who said this was 19, so I'm not that much older than him. Also a woman had once said about me that I look like the average 30 y.old. Looking so much older than your actual age is worse than being ugly.

Somedays I fix up my hair and wear some cute clothes and I feel really, really good, but then I go out and all girls look ten times prettier than me and no guys ever stop by to talk to me like they do to my friends. I still feel so old and ugly. I'm feeling so depressed and unhappy… What can I do to make me feel better?

P.S: I think the biggest problem here is my eye color; it's very boring and usual. If I wore green or hazel contact lenses, would I look just a tiny bit better?

My eyes are not perfectly white?

I've been noticing that my eyes aren't quite "white". They're not Really bloodshot/red, actually, I wouldn't even call them red at all. But there's a very very light red lining around my pupils and the white part is slightly dull and some thin bunches of nerves are protruding out, not too much, just enough to make it look light pink. I don't know if I'm making too much sense, but they're not painful either. I've had some problems sleeping with my contacts on in the past - a few months ago, but they've almost completely subsided and now I wear my contact lenses for only 7-8 hours a day and never sleep in them and keep them very clean.
I am 15 years old and have no medical problems at all.
I really want at least some info. On if its normal/not normal and why before I seek medical help because I don't have it for free and do not want to waste money on nothing if there is nothing wring with my eyes.

Will my teen be dependent on her glasses?

My teenaged daughter has been squinting at everything for a while so we took her to get an eye exam. She had a hard time seeing the letters and the doctor prescribed glasses with -1.75 lenses.

Now that she has glasses she doesn't do anything without them on. I'm worried she'll become dependent and her eyes will get worse.

How to know if my contacts are damaged?

I wear two week lenses everyday. Unfortunately one fell out of my eye this morning after I rubbed my eyes. I was in school and I didn't have the case for my contacts with me, so I just wrapped them in paper. By the time I got home they were really dry and looked really bad. I rinsed them in the solution and let them get hydrated in it for a few hours. Now they look okay and I tried to wear them for a few minutes. Nothing went wrong, but I'm still afraid that they got damaged in some way even though I don't see any damage on the surface.

Cheap prescriptions glasses?

okay so i got my eye tested yesterday and my right eye is -6.25 and left eye is -7.25 and since my prescription is really strong they said it would cost around $220 and my parents spent a lot of money on me this month cause it was my birthday and im going on the grade 8 grad trip with my class and it cost nearly $400and I really don't want to waste their money im 14 by the way. Is there any cheap glasses I could get I don't mind if it online as long as the price is under $100 thankss

Red eye(s) when I wear my contacts?

Hey! So for about a month now whenever I wear my contact lenses my left eye would get kinda red on the side feel a little dry. Then my eyes stay red for a couple of days:/ Today the same thing happened but both of my eyes were red. I got eye drops last week and initially they were helping but I feel like they arent doing much now (oh and my eyes hurt a bit when I put the eye drops in) What could the cause of this be? And I'm sure the answer is yes but should I see my eye doctor? PS the only thing I do that is bad with my contacts is that I dont change the solution they're in daily.
Added (1). P.S. It isn't pink eye, I've had that before and this is not what that's like
Added (2). Oh also I've been wearing contacts for like four years and this issue is relatively new (idk if that changes anything)

What does Wait for PA mean?

I ordered contact lenses from Walmart online and it changed from verifying RX prescription to "Wait for PA." I had called Walmart to fix my billing address on the card so I think they changed the status while I was on the phone.

Colored contacts make you blind?

So recently I bought these white colored contacts that last for a month for a movie project me and my friends were making. I am very anxious about my health and have also been diagnosed with hypochondria. I read somewhere that contacts can make you blind or cause serious infections. Now, this has to be true in some cases. I wear the contacts only for a couple of hours a day during filming and take them out once they start getting uncomfortable. Am I risking my eyesight and should I continue wearing them? I've only worn them for three days now. The BC on these contacts is the same as my perscription, but I ordered them online and they're from a different company. They feel a little bit bigger, but that might be the material or the bigger diameter.
So from all this information, is it possible to assume that I'll go blind from wearing these?
PS: To get a scheduled appointment to an eye doctor takes months and I don't have that sort of time.
