Best time to get Lasik Eye Surgery?

I have been wearing contact lenses since 18. My eyes hasn't dramatically had changes in prescription for 3 years. I'm in my mid 20's & was planning to get Lasik soon. I have been advised from someone close that it's not good to get it too early because it will lead to more adjustments. My eye doctor say's if my prescription doesn't change for another 2 years, I am qualified to get Lasik. Should I wait? I don't want to get Lasik now then all of a sudden I have to get another one to fix the previous procedure like other people I know had.

What's wrong with my contact lenses?

So I kinda need advice fast.
I started using contacts and they won't stay in.
Everytime I get it over my pupil it starts sliding down my eye almost like my eyes are to slick or watery for it to stay in place.

Any idea if anything could be wrong with them or how I can get them to stay

How to pass dmv eye exam?

So this is probably a dumb question but i'm retaking my driving test tomorrow, but i have trouble with the eye exam part? Meaning when i look through the little machine i can't remember which eyes to close or which lens to look in and i end up looking stupid, am i just supposed to keep both eyes open or what?

What's the proper method for cleaning the barrel contact lens case, daily?

So up until my last opticians appointment I didn't really clean the contact lens case. I changed the solution at night when I took my lenses out, and in the morning after putting them in, I left the solution in the case till I changed it again at night.

But I was told this was wrong and that I was meant to put a few drops of solution around it and what not and let it air dry throughout the day.

But I don't quite understand it… What parts am I supposed to put solution on? There's not enough to drench the whole case with a few drops each day. And also if I leave both parts out to air dry, then surely bacteria and dust will fall on and into the case throughout the day? I don't get it.

Can someone please explain what I should do, and why? Because I'm going back to the opticians soon and I don't want to have to tell them I've refused to do what they told me.x[
Added (1). "NEVER use water directly from the tap to clean your lens case."
Added (2). Why does everyone keep suggesting tap water? I've been told time and time again, DONT use tap water, as it has its own bacteria in it, which may be harmless to drink, but can infect your eyes.

Not allowed to re-order contact lenses before prescription expiration?

It's one thing that they changed it from having to get an eye exam every 2 years. Then, they changed it to 1 year. Now it gets better. My current prescription expires in 2 months (10 months after my last exam)… Can they really force me to get another exam so quickly? I'm nearly out of my current supply, so I ordered new ones online - no problem, right? They call and tell me that they were told my prescription has expired. I go into my eye doctor's office, they look up my last exam date, and make a twisted face. They say it's too close to expiration and that they can only give me a trial pair until I get another exam.

What I'm asking is, are they legally allowed to do this? My prescription never changes and I don't want an exam EARLIER than a year past. I tried looking up some answers, and saw that prescribers can only make you have more frequent exams if they have a medical reason backing their decision, and that it needs to be in writing and documented. Is this true? Note that I've never had anything abnormal with my eyes or vision, and certainly not documented.

How to remove contact lenses? - 2

Coloured contact lenses to be exact, if that makes any difference. I've always wanted to use circle lenses or coloured contacts for cosplay but I have a fear that I won't be able to get them out again. Any easy tips on how to remove them or should I give this idea up if I'm finicky about touching my eye too much?

Smoking for the first time - help?!

Hey guys,
I'm a responsible teen girl and plan to smoke marijuana in the next few weeks. I know I shouldn't do it if I'm nervous, but I think the time is right and I will be around close friends.

1. I'm not that articulate as it is and am petrified that the joint will literally render me unable to talk - how realistic is it that it will have some effect like that? I don't mind a bit slurred, because the others will be drunk anyway, but is there a risk that I won't be able to speak?

2. I wear contact lenses - do you think my eyes will get really irritated and water a lot?

3. I have only smoked e shisha (vaping) and that doesnt make me cough when I lung inhale. I know weed is actual smoke, so will I most likely cough my lungs out initially? Will I look like a total idiot in front of the practised smokers or does everyone cough a bit?

4. If I secretly only mouth inhale one joint, what will the high be like? I have never got completely drunk, because I hate loss of control, so don't compare it to that. Is it possible that I'll say ridiculous stuff and laugh uncontrollably? How out of control do you feel? Will I be together enough to realise the concept of not losing my phone etc. Or will I just act the total idiot and fall over etc?

5. I will have to face my parents about three hours later. When they smell it, I'll just say some girl was smoking a regular cigarette near me. Will I still be high as a kite?

Why my eye adjust in just a few month?

I have perfect vision Since Last month but… When i find some reading glasses i wear it for style, But it has + 3.00 prescription? So after 1 week i continue to wear them but i can't see distance clearly. So i buy Contact Lenses with - 4.00 and - 6.00 Prescription (NearSighted) i still have perfect vision… But after 1 month of using them both I notice that if my reading glass and without contacts it looks blurred without them specially in my other eye? What was that? My family did not wear glass since their 50's… Why my eye gets blurry now when i take them?!

Why do so many contact lens brands not go past -6.00?

I didn't think my eyesight was THAT bad, but -6.00 seems to be the cutoff for many contact lens brands, esp. In colored lenses. I really like brown lenses because my eyes are naturally green, but I think they look fakey because I have such dark features otherwise. Brown lenses are so hard to find, esp. In a high magnification. Why is this? I can only find them in Freshlook, and I'd like to try a different color of brown. Most companies that make brown don't make them past -6.00.
Now that I'm 28, is it true my vision should level off? I'm afraid if it gets worse, I won't be able to wear contacts!

Also, how do you know when ordering contacts online, that the order actually goes through your doctor's office. I think it's kind of fishy when the website allows you to fax your script to them, and doesn't say anything about contacting your doctor. I want to save money by shopping around, but how do you tell if a site is legitimate?

Can I wear my contact lenses with an eye infection?

I have had an eye infection since Monday night after I took my contacts out. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and I got eye drops. The pain is gone but it's still pretty pink. I hate wearing glasses and I really just want to wear contacts again.

What happens if my base curve of my contacts is too big or small?

I have been getting contact lens with diffrent base curve from the net and so what happens if the base curve is too big or small? With my contacts when i look left and right it moves abit until the black part of the eye reaches the tip of the contacts then it follows if not it stays at where it is and aslo i find that my contact lens is alot bigger than the black part of my eye… Is my base curve too big? Please advice and what happens if i keep wearing contacts with too big or too small a base curve

I just know that what she wearing in her eyes aren't rea. I've seen the dark eyes girl ( asian) wearing color contact lens and their eyes appeared to be "dark blue", the same like aishwarya rai. And it dosen't looks real.
