I feel like there is something in my eye when I take my new contact lenses out?

I started wearing a new brand of contact lenses today. They are two weekly ones (I previously wore the daily ones) and this is my first time wearing them. Every time I blink I feel like there is something in my eye at the corner but there is nothing there.
Could this be an eye infection? Should I go to the doctor?

Would using 8.5 or 9 BC lenses would be too extreme of a change from 8.7 prescribed?

Was super interested in Acuvue Oasys Hydraluxe because they are dailies and supposedly have the best hydration in a daily lens available. My current lenses dry my eyes out super fast. Only offered in -0.2 or +0.3 BC of my size though.

Can I see the movie clear with bad eyesight?

I'm gonna see Batman v superman this Sunday. But I'm gonna watch it in iMax 3D. This is my first time watching a movie in 3D. I wear glasses because of my eyesight, i can't see things from very far. I know I'm suppose to wear 3D glasses for the movie but is my vision gonna be blind? Because I don't want to go to the movie and everything is all blurry. It would ruin the whole movie experience.

I look 1000x better without my glasses on, but I can't be without my glasses. I am really scared. I need to wear them for cheerleading and just because it makes me feel beautiful. I am afraid they will fuse to my eye or some dumb ****. Help?

My right eye gets blurry when I put contacts on?

I just bought a pair of circle lenses 3 days ago and this is my first time putting contact lenses on. I noticed that my right eye gets blurry whenever I have them on and it annoys me because I can't read nor see things clearly. I checked if it was inside out or if there's scratch on it but no. Help please! Thank you in advanced.

Wearing contacts in pools underwater with eyes closed?

I m going to be swimming almost everyday in a pool for the next week or so and I m very new to contacts. I have daily disposable soft lenses. I know you should wear contacts in pools and oceans because it can cause infection and even blindness. HOWEVER, I do not have prescription sunglasses, just regular glasses. I want to wear my contacts and then just normal sunglasses but I can t just take out my contacts every time I get in the pool.

So can you wear contacts in pools and go underwater but just not open your eyes while your underwater so their not exposed to the bacteria?
I also don t want to have to wear goggles in the pool cause I look ridiculous with goggles (I know that sounds like I want to look perfect but I just don t want to have to wear them)

Can prescription lenses be put into ANY kind of eyeglasses frame?

My vision seems to be changing and I'm tired of my old pair of glasses so I'm looking to buy a new pair of trendy Rx glasses. I'v been browsing around on eBay and Aliexpress for a cheap pair of stylish (large/oversized transparent, cat-eye and/or "nerdy") frames that I can hold my Rx lenses (they're pretty thin). I've heard the claim that almost any kind of frame can be made in Rx eye wear so I was wonder if it's really true.

I sleep with my contacts in a lot?

I've been sleeping with my contacts on (they're not disposable ones) a lot for the past couple of months. I don't mean to, a lot of times I'm just doing my schoolwork or watching TV and I fall asleep only to wake up all the way next morning (usually 4-6 hours). I did have slightly bloodshot eyes and dry eyes, but I haven't really had a major problem until recently. One morning, I woke up in my contacts to find my eyes, one more than the other, slightly bloodshot.Very mildly irritable, but bloodshot. It kind of went away after I put eyedrops in them.

Is it too late to stop falling asleep with my contacts on? Should I stop wearing them because I have an eye-check-up appointment next week and I'm planning to wear glasses + buy disposable contacts?
Also I've heard that daily-disposable contact lens are less prone to infections, is it true?
I know I should be asking this to the doctor but I'm really really scared right now.
Thank you.

Non-prescription glasses: hipster or acceptable?

I ve worn glasses & contacts for most of my life and at least for me, the thought of someone wearing non-prescription glasses has always brought about a hipster connotation and a bit of disdain.

My views have kind of started to change though, I mean, I guess I shouldn t judge someone for what they want to wear -- it s basically the same as any other piece of clothing. On top of that, I know some girls who prefer dark, thick-rimmed glasses over contacts because it helps make their eyes pop without having to cake on a ton of makeup.

Your thoughts on non-prescription lenses?

Can I wear contacts longer than a month?

Can I wear contacts longer than a month?
Added (1). I am planning to get contacts, since glasses hurt my face when worn too long. They are quite expensive, so I was wondering if I can wear them for like 2 months, if I get the monthly ones. I will clean them every night and will only need them for school and take them off the moment I go home. So, around 8 hours per day. Is it safe?

Can I occasionally sleep with my contacts on? Doc says NO, but lens pack says yes?

Lens name is Alcon O2 Optix.
Lens pack says it's okay to wear and sleep 6 nights in a row.
Doc prescribed wear for All waking hours/ Dont sleep with them on/ discard after 40 days (pack says 30).

Strange my doc's recommendation is different from the manufacturers recommendation,

Anyway, would it be okay to occasionally wear them to sleep?
Not every night, just for times like parties, sleep-overs, vacations, etc?

Are there any other 20 something women who've never worn contact lenses in their lives?

I'm looking for kindred spirits! I've been wearing glasses since I was 11 and tried contacts at 14 but couldn't stand them. By the time I turned 19 glasses were fashionable and I started to like the way I looked with them on. Now I can't imagine leaving the house without my specs! I wear them to nightclubs and dates and everything else but as I get older I'm starting to notice a lot of people telling me to get lenses. My manager at the restaurant I work at thinks the glasses are an eyesore. A guy I went on a date with 2 weeks ago asked me if I was wearing glasses because of irritation caused by lenses.

I do have a strong prescription (-6.25 and -7) but I have high index lenses and very expensive designer frames. Most people would consider me to be very conventionally attractive (just being honest).

Is it weird to be 21 and still wearing glasses?

How can my looks change so dramatically with glasses?

I'm Hispanic and people have always been able to recognize the fact that I am until I started wearing glasses. I've had them for a couple of years and when people started asking me my ethnicity, and were surprised when I told them Hispanic, I thought that my looks were just changing. But then when I'm not wearing glasses those SAME people say that they don't even recognize me and can recognize I'm Hispanic? How can glasses change someone's looks so much?

Got new glasses and can't judge distances properly?

There's no change in prescription, my old glasses were -5.00/-5.75, the new ones are the exact same prescription, the only differences are it's a different frame(of course), and it's a different lens brand (old glasses were Zeiss, new ones are Crizal FUV). I use AirOptix contact lenses too, but only on weekends and holidays, i wear glasses at work.

The new glasses make things look BIGGER in the central area, hard to explain, say m looking at my laptop screen, it looks like I'm looking at one of those old CRT TV screens that BULGED out in the center- of course the laptop's screen is super flat in real.

This doesn't happen with my old zeiss glasses, doesn't happen with my AirOptix lenses, just with my new crizal glasses. M getting a mild headache too (again, never happens with Zeiss/AirOptix), but then again, I can see things fine with my new glasses (no blurriness when reading very distant signs, or during close work like working on a computer).

This "bulging out" of central vision has a serious side effect- I don't think I can drive wearing these glasses, I cannot judge distances well, and I might end up getting someone hurt. The optician tells me I need to use the glasses for 7 days and I will get used to it. But it never happens with my other glasses, or my contacts, and they are all of the same prescription?!

My college son is going crazy with fashion, how do I get him to look descent? - 1

My son who has turned 21 is literally going crazy with his looks, when he started college, he was descent looking, well dressed, fat & chubby. But over the 4 years he's started all this nonsense fashion trends he sees on the TV.Doing all these 'undercut' hairstyles, thick beards, wearing thick frame no power glasses, magnet ear rings, lost like 85+ lbs of weight, he used to weight about 250 lbs but now weighes 165 lbs. He lately didn't go to the salon for like several months & has long hair which he ties up, he says its called 'man bun' whatever (isn't that what we women do?) & his beard is quiet thick. I was shocked by the way he looks but he gets constant compliments from people of his age, obviously the young generation… But that is clearly not descent. He keeps telling me he is later going to get tattoos over certain parts of his body, real ear piercings and lighter eye lenses. I clearly am disturbed to the thought of him doing that. The body is the temple of God & he is spoiling it with all this fashion. He is a real good kid though, he doesn't smoke, he admits he occasionally drinks in 2-3 months only at parties, still a virgin, does fine in studies,is kind and helpful, but his looks just makes his persona the opposite of what he is.I'm not against fashion, but I feel he is going over board, what would others (other than ones of his age) think? How do I make him understand that he is spoiling his image & is getting too carried away with the media, but he rather be himself?
