Are my contact lenses too strong?

I got contacts for sports and it didn't bother much. But when i wear them during school, my get headaches like in my eyes. I normally take them out as soon as I get home from school. I can see, I just never forget they're in. Do you thing they are too strong? At first I just though it was because they were new to my eyes. But I wore them for weeks and it still did that.

How to cheat on eye exam?

I think I may have figured it out but can someone clarify if this is right? So I'm Myopic and when the eye dr. Does that test with the goggles and ask " what is better 1 or 2?" If you say 1 is better, you're vision got worse right and he repeats the process until it the lens no longer makes it better right? But if I lie and say 2 is better, event though it isn't, he will try a couple more times but if I keep lying he'll conclude my eyes haven't changed and prescription hasn't changed? This is all in theory right now. I know it sounds bad but I may or may not need to do this cause my vision is.25 over a certain job requirement which sucks.

Do contact lenses get expired by days worn or days opened?

So I'm playing to get contact lenses, they last 3 months. So I'm wondering if that 3 months is after you opened it, or 3 months of wearing it (like I can wear it every other day for 6 months)

I eligible for SSI if I become blind due to cataracts?

i won't get the surgery because insurance will only cover the cheapest. If I get that procedure I won't be able to get the bionic lens later when it does become available in the us.
So if I am declared blind, can I get disability or ssi even tho it can be surgically corrected?
Added (1). I am not "giving up on my vision" just for a check. I'm trying to plan. I want the bionic lens surgery when it becomes available, as it will correct my vision so I never need glasses again. If I get the cheap surgery that only "fixes" the cataracts, I'll still be stuck with glasses, may end up with cataracts again, and won't be a candidate for the bionic lens. So if I end up blind before the bionic lens is available, what am I supposed to do?
Added (2). I can get off ssi after I get the bionic lens
Added (3). I am not "refusing treatment". I am refusing inadequate treatment. Why should I settle for a cheap option, that won't prevent cataracts from returning, when there is a far BETTER option out there?
Added (4). I am a tax payer too. I also work and pay into the system. Insurance will cover the bionic lens. It will be comparable in price to the current cataract surgery. The bionic lens tho can't for cataracts, so it means not having to go thru surgery again, and its like 10 mins per eye instead of an hour. Why do I haveto settle for inadequate care when spmething far more efficient is around the corner?o

Can I wear daily disposable contact lenses for more than a day?

I wear glasses when I go to school and wear contacts at home. After returning home and eating lunch(which is around 4PM), I wear contact lenses. I take them off at around 10PM. I only wear them for 6 hours, which is a waste of money because I can wear them for around 8-12 hours. Is it okay for me to wear my daily disposables for two days?

Why doesn't my contact lens sit at the center of my eye?

So for all of the colour contacts I've worn, when I put them on my left eye, they don't sit on the center. Aka a little bit of my eye will be showing and sometimes a little bit of my pupil will be covered up, because the lens sits a little bit to the left.
Does this mean I have astigmatism in my left eye? Thanks!

Can I reuse previously dried up contact lens?

to be exact circle lens, but same thing. They are for cosmetic purposes so i dont wear them too often. So i havent changed the solution in like a month(i know its really bad this is the longest ive waited) cuz i was getting really low and was trying to save the solution up. So i go to check on my lens and one lens the water is almost gone but still there, and the other is completely dried out and wrinkly. I put in new solution hoping for the best and the next day the dried out lens is back to normal. So i'm wondering if its ok to put it in my eye again? I read some stuff like the dried out ones get bacteria and stuff but has anyone else done this? They are my newest ones i dont really wanna throw them away…

What's a blind eye like?

From my understanding, a blind eye is grey, but can you put a lens on them? If my left eye is blind but my right eye is fine, can I put a lens of the same color of my good eye and apply makeup and stuff?

How are our (my) eyes able to do this?

Generally when I wear prescription contact lens I have clear vision. If I put on my prescription glasses while wearing my contacts my vision becomes total crap, like just as bad as when I'm not using any vision correction product BUT today I slipped my glasses on while wearing contacts because sometimes I forget (I don't usually wear my contacts, it's habit to reach for my glasses when I'm not wearing them) and for a few seconds my vision was crystal clear before getting super fuzzy like normal. I kept the glasses on and could see my vision struggling to focus what I was looking at, sometimes it could clear the image but usually it was just fuzzy.

How is it that I was able to see clearly at all while wearing both prescription contacts and prescription glasses at the same time?

And why can't our eyes automatically correct poor vision so people don't need glasses/contacts anymore? I'm just curious.

How long does a box of monthly contacts last?

Ok so I just purchased 2 boxes of contact lenses from 2 different brands. I purchased the Bausch&lomb (toric) for my left eye, it has 6 lenses and based on the website I purchased it from it's monthly. But I looked on the other website and saw that the same contacts I bought only last for two weeks. The other contacts I bought is the Air optix it has 6 lenses too and monthly. I know this is a stupid question since if it's monthly it should last me 6 months but I've read online that people only last theirs for 3 months so Im confused. Thanks

Disposable contact lenses count as liquids?

Hi guys, I'm going to fly with Ryanair and I'll be away for a month, but I'm only carrying my hand luggage. I need to take three boxes of daily contact lenses, but… Do they count as liquids? Do I need to put them in the ziplock bag? I'm not talking about the contact solution, just the blisters with their own liquid!

Can i drive using my contacts sometimes?

So today i passed my drivers test and i had my glasses on, and i got my picture taken with them on. But i also have contacts that i prefer to wear sometimes instead, and so, say i have my contacts in and a cop stops me, will he ticket me for not wearing my glasses even if i have my contacts on? On the back of my license it says Restriction(s): B- corrective lenses

Aggregation while putting in contacts?

Whenever I put in my contacts if someone talks or touches me I yell or want to slap them, is this normal? Mostly it is because when I put them in they burn or feel like there scratching my eye when I wash them and my hands and make sure they're flipped the right way it still hurts and makes me mad when someone touches me. Do others do this or is it something I should ask my eye doctor about?

How to determine eye grade?

In my country, instead of diopters, (or in my case/age group) we focus more on the eye grade of our glasses. My eye grade is 450 L/R. I have glasses and contact lenses. But I dont know how diopters work. I know I m near-sighted so it would be a minus(-) but I dont know the rest. Please help. I lost the paper where it has it. I m about to buy a new pair of lenses but I dont know what s the exact prescription.

Sometimes blurry vision with circle, colored contacts?

I am a long time toric contact lens wearer and recently got some circle, colored, toric lenses. I got the circle ones (gives and enlarging effect) because they were the only ones that offered colored contacts with my high prescription.

Sometimes the vision is blurry and sometimes clear (more blurry than clear). I use a hydrogen peroxide cleaning solution, and have been for years with normal contacts so I am fairly certain is it not protein build-up (and the lenses are brand new!) How can I fix this problem?

Can multi focal contact lenses be used with a monofocal lense implant after cataract surgery?

I've had a monofocal lense implanted in both eyes after my cataract surgery. This means I have to wear glasses for reading.

I want to be able to wear contact lenses for certain situations.

My question is, would multi focal contact lenses work with the monofocal lense that has been implanted? Or would progressive or bifocal contact lenses work better?

Is wearing fake glasses stupid?

So i got a cute pair of fake glasses and i want to wear them to school but idk if people will laugh or make fun of me for it. Another thing is I have contacts and glasses for seeing but the reason i dont wear those is because my eyes are so bad the lenses are like 3 inches thick (im a -10.50 i think)

Wearing contact lenses too long?

Long story, I live in Germany and my girlfriend came to visit me from Canada for 3 months and her mom was supposed to send her contact lenses but they didn't show up, she's been wearing her contact lenses for exactly a month longer than she should have, her eyes are very bad and she can't do anything without them, if she wears them for another week (she's flying back in a week) is she at serious risk of damaging her eyes?

Could someone explain to me what Extended Contact Lenses are?

I wear daily contact lenses and it really annoys me having to spend everyday putting them in the morning and then remembering not to wear them for to long or else you could get an eye infection. I have heard of Extended Contact Lenses which you wear for about about 2 weeks without needing to touch them and that they are a lot more comfortable and you can't feel them at all.

Is that true?
