What should I do about this store clerk who is annoying me?

I shop in this bakery a few times a week. One day one of the clerks told me she like the color of my eyes. I happen to wear color tint contact lenses, but felt that it was none of her business. Since then, she keeps bothering me to take off my sunglasses and show the other clerk my eyes. She will not do this if she is working alone, only when someone else is there. I get the feeling she is deliberately trying to embarrass me. What is your take on this and what should I do to make her stop?

What qualifies as a torturous process?

Let's say that you were given the role of a villain or monster in a film production and you had to sit in a makeup chair for 4-8 hours and wear red demonic contact lenses. While having the appliances and fur/scales/etc put on your face or head-to-toe, would that qualify as a torturous process for someone who can't sit still?

First time using contacts making stuff slightly blurry when close to me?

Objects that are in front of me kinda close, like my computer monitor to my eyes, it get slightly blurry and has a weird look to text and things, this is my first time ever using contacts or glasses, just got them today from my eye exam.

Dad is going to come home and YELL at me?

My life is very complicated. So I won't go into all the details but basically my parents fight a LOT my mom is cyco (no, LITERALLY) and my dad is very strict with grades. I'm in all the honors classes that my school offers (math, language arts, social science) But all of my grades are B's except for one 98.7 in my language arts honors. My dad is so so mad and is going to come home and yell at me. It is also because I sometimes get missing assignments. I just don't have time to do them and well basically I stay up until 12 or 1 every night working on homework. It takes that long because I have OCD (literally) and I just have to make sure everything's perfect. I also get distracted easily. So basically because I am up so late I always fall asleep and don't have time to put in my overnight contacts (lenses you put in that reshape your cornea overnight so you can see in the morning) anyways I don't have time to put them in and then in class I can't see far distance like the board and so I miss the lessons and fall behind. I can't tell my parents this they don't understand. How do I deal with my dad's wrath. I am so upset because what hurts the most is that he is so so dissapointed in me;( I don't know what to do. I'm only 13 in 8th grade

Added (1). I have myopia and astigmatism. How do the toric IOLs compare to monofocal IOL in terms of how clear it provides in vision? Please advise. Would you say it's better to get toric toi fix my astigmatism instead of fixing it with glasses? Also would the multifocal IOLs be an option for me even though it doesn't fix astigmatism? I can possibly get it fixed with laser surgery in the future if I were to choose the multifocals can't I?
Added (2). What are the differences between the regular toric lens, Tecnis toric lens, and the Trulign toric lens?

New Monthly Contact Lenses Stinging?

I have a monthly trial of contact lenses which I opened on Sunday. On Sunday there was no pain, except the vision blurred about every minute for about 30 seconds so I couldn t see anything. I wore them four hours. The next day I wore them 6 hours and they were perfect. No problem at all. The next day I put them in and had to remove them after 30 minutes because both eyes were stinging and the water was pouring down. It was more painful than an irritation. My eyes were sore and watery for the next few hours after I d taken them out. Tried them again today and had to remove them quickly because they were painful again. Any idea on what the problem is? The cleaning solution I use is easy vision all purpose preservative free solution (specsavers recommended). Thank you

Are my contact lenses inside out, or just uncomfortable?

I got my first pair of coloured contacts yesterday!
I tried to avoid putting them on inside out by checking that they were a bowl shape instead of the other one TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE (both sides looked really similar).
When I finally got the contacts on, it definitely felt like there were things on my eyes. It was tolerable and it didn t pinch/ sting, but it wasn t really comfortable at all.

Soon after this I put in my second pair of contacts, and they felt like there was nothing there (it was easier to tell which side was which because one side had darker colours on these contacts).

Were my first contacts inside out? Or were they just an uncomfortable pair of contacts?

How to position a Fresnal lens to get the hottest solar temperature?

So I pulled a fresnal lens from a big screen I need our garage I watched videos of people burning through metals. The most I've done is turn some wood black no flame and melt some plastic I can't get it positioned right. I know you want the light to be basically a small circle and bright but I've done this and it just doesn't get that hot. What am I doing wrong?

Can i use regular soft contact lenses if i have mild astigmatism?

Here's my eyeglass ex left eye +0.75 -0.75 155. Right eye +0.75 -0.75 15
My astigmatism is mild -0.75 so wondering if I could get regular soft contact lenses because I really want colored contacts and they don't seem to have those for toric lenses except freshlook and they don't have my prescription available in freshlook

Can you wear glasses and contact lenses at the same time?

I don't mean literally at the same time.
I've been wearing glasses for a few years now and I'll be switching to contacts soon. Once I'm wearing my contacts daily, I was wondering what would happen if I wore my glasses again? For example if I'm late to work one day and instead of putting in my contacts I just put my glasses on, sort of like alternating, would anything happen?
Could my vision get worse?
Would it have any effect at all?

Added (1). I have myopia, blepharitis, and astigmatism but great near vision; however, my cataracts cause my far vision to be even more blurry as it adds onto my astigmatism.
Added (2). How does the options of being nearsighted vs farsighted for a monofocal lense affect your intermediate vision? Also would the Toric lenses be an option for me and does it overall provide better vision at a near, far, and intermediate distance? My concern is that I'm wanting to keep or even improve my near vision and intermediate while improving my far vision, but monofocal lenses makes you have to choose your focus and I don't want to end up wearing reading glasses.

Red blotch on side of left eye. Red blood vessel popped? No pain too, is all alright?

Title says all, I noticed this red blotch when doing my contact lenses. My contacts don t hurt after putting them on or anything too. I am certain I received this red blotch when a friend of mine in school accidentally poked my eye when he was waving his arms.

I feel no pain, so should this red go away just fine? Do i need to do anything?

Are there ways to make yourself see the world as a blind person would without any permanent implications? Like blacked out contacts lenses, or a drug that makes you temporarily blind? Also is there anything like this for deafness too?

Why did my contacts get blurry after 1 use?

I use cooper vision monthly lenses,
Had a pair they were fine for 2 weeks, afterwards i took care of em as usual (HAd contacts for 2 years)

put them on next day, they were unwearable, blurry, itchy, making my eyes burn,
I threw them out, opened a new pack, wore the new pack for a day, they were fine. Then it happened again after only 1 use
Wha is wrong? Is there a bacteria living on my eyeball which is transferring or what? Please let me know

So, for both eyes I have -1.25 with a slight bit of astigmatism in my right eye. Is it required the I wear corrective lenses with that prescription while driving?

Can the Streptococcal bacteria infect your eye?

I wasn t aware that I had strep until I looked in my throat due to an increase of pain in the throat. Earlier this morning I had put my contact lens in my mouth because it fell out, holding it until I could get ahold of the proper saline solution. I put the contact back in my eye after washing it thoroughly. Will the infection transfer in any way to my eye?

Why have my contacts lost visibility after only 1 wear?

Okay i used my contacts which expired in 1 week, i wore em, took em off at home, next day, they became blurry and unusable, thought it was the lenses, tossed em out and opened a new pack, wore em one day, perfectly clear and then next, blurry and impossible to use, soaked them in solution for couple days to no avail.

Please tell me, is there some sort of issue with my eye, trransferring on to my contacts, ? I am hella worried and i cannot get an eye specialist appointment for 6 MONTHS

Is it bad to wear contacts and glasses with different prescriptions?

I recently just got contact lenses. My eyesight is very bad- i am (roughly) -7.75 on my right eye and about -7.5 on my left eye. I got new glasses last March, and just got lenses, but because my eyesight has changed since last March and i haven t gotten new glases, my lenses are stronger. So would it be bad for my eyesight to be wearing my lenses and glasses, even though they have different prescriptions? For example, after i take of my lenses in the evening, if i wore my glasses, would it be bad for my eyes as they have different prescriptions? Thanks

When do I throw away one day contact lenses?

I have one day contact lenses. My optometrist told me to wear them for an hour and gradually increase the time daily so I can get used to them. But she never told me when I should throw them away.
