Why doesn't anybody say anything about my contact lenses?

I started wearing contacts and then i got a new job. I was thinking people would ask me "hey are you wearing contacts" but they never do! Is it because they look fake so they don't ask me or cause they dont notice they are contacts?

So I was wondering if it is possible to wear coloured contact lenses (like werewolf eyes) even though I got perfect vision and do not need to wear glasses/contacts. I mostly just wanted to wear them for appearance for an upcoming party? any advice appreacited

What are some good contact lens brands?

I know that contacts feel differently for everyone, but I really need to change from the brand I'm wearing right now.

I have had contacts for about 8 years (since I was 10) and I've never had a problem. This year, the brand that I've always used had been discontinued so my eye doctor prescribed me a new brand and prescription. I had problems with it, went back, and she changed the prescription back to what it was before and told me I should be good. That was about a week ago and I'm still having problems.My vision is pretty blurry to the point where I have trouble reading. I really need to find a brand that works for me and it's hard to schedule an appointment with my eye doctor so I'm not sure what to do.

I cleaned my contact with cleansing lotion by accident?

So the day before yesterday i was taking my contact lenses out before bed.
I took out the first one and cleaned it in my hand. When i put it in the case, i looked forward and noticed my contact solution was closed and the one i used to wash the contact lens was my "neutrogena blackhead eliminating cleansing lotion"

This:

I immediately took it out of the case, smelt it and it smelt a bit like the blackhead cleansing lotion: l
I cleaned it well with the proper solution, poured out the solution from the case (the case had the proper solution) and done it properly.

Yesterday morning i tried putting it in to feel if the cleansing lotion was still there and it had the fresh alcohol rub feeling, slightly. I cleaned it again, cleaned the case and tried again today. Again it was slightly there.

Should it be fine to wear again?
The Blackhead cleansing lotion contains:

Aqua, alcohol Denat, PPG-5-Ceteh-20, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Methyl Lactate, Parfum.

Or should I wait till my next monthly delivery? :l

Well, what "power of 10" does the naked eye see?

What if we could see light years across

Would Newtonian mechanics existed? How about Einstein's theory of relativity. … what would the laws of physics say?

I think we should take this into consideration. These magnitudes exist … even though we don't see them day to day.

I'm also curious as to how a lens works.Is it the atoms arranged inside the lens itself? Is it the light passing through it? … etc

Can't insert contact lenses?

My trial lenses finally came in the other day and so yesterday I went in for the "class" on inserting and removing them. The woman who was supposed to teach me was very rude and spent almost half of the appointment talking about her children and spent only a few minutes explaining how to get the contacts in to my eyes. I'm a lefty and for some reason was completely unable to get the contact in to my left eye, but the right one went in after the first 3 or 4 tries. She cut the appointment short and I can't even come back until Tuesday which is ridiculous… she made a ton of mean remarks to be as well, including "hope you don't have a boyfriend because he'd run if he knew how easily you cried." All of this made me really anxious, not to mention she kept watching me closely the entire time which made it worse :(. This experience left me really frustrated and upset..I felt so defeated and stupid.

How can I get these stupid things in to my eyes so I can get out of there with my contacts in?:(
Added (1). Problem is it won't stick to my eye… maybe because my fingers get sweaty from nervousness? I get to the point where I can feel it touching my eye so I apply a bit of pressure and let go and lo and behold the thing is still on my finger. :/.
Added (2). Even when I pull away the contact lens is still perfectly rounded and has not flattened..I'm really not sure what the problem is. Maybe it's brushing my eyelashes? I don't know…

I'm soon 19, I've graduated from high school with a B. and where to start?
I don't have ANY friends… Probably cuz I'm a freak.
I'm just a normal girl I don't like too Girly things but I'm kinda like a nerdy. I still play games on my pc. Which annoys my mum so she has started to get pissed at me all the time and honestly idk why I mean I don't smoke I don't drink I help around the house I babysit my little brother the only problem with me is that I stay home on the computer but trust me I would like to go out if I had any friends, I've tried to make them but in the end they ended up using me for material things etc.mum constantly calls me a whore a stupid botch etc even beats me up… And dad too calls me a failure a screw up. And get this he complains that I have braces, contact lenses etc and he says " u will have to pay me back all of it" I mean wtf !!! And trust me money is no problem I'm not spoiled but they treat me like garbage my mum even said " I wish u were like other girls" wtf! I'm quiet and shy and sometimes when they SCREAM I "talk back" like ya whatever fine and they get even more mad and beat the crap out of me… I ad a best friend ( pen pal 4 years) now she dissed me cuz she has a bf. I mean it hurts when they do that say terrible things like "whore, stupid bitc etc" and I fall into depression I wanted to kill myself numerous times and my dads reaction is like " well kills itself ill be doing me a favor" and OFC they spit at me and stuff. I have high astigmatism and have not been able to find contacts that go up that high. I was prescribed soft toric lenses, any recommendations would be great!

Do I need thin-lensed sunglasses?

I'm thinking of buying an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses.My glasses prescription is quite strong (-5.75) and I usually get thin lenses for them. Will I need thin lenses for my sunglasses? I don't mind the glasses being slightly heavier but I do not want to have the "magnified eye" look. This surely isn't a problem with sunglasses though as they are tinted and you can't see the eye anyway, right?
Added (1). I was under the impression that a strong prescription made your eyes look really big to other people.So it's really just about how comfortable it is? Ok thanks for clearing that up!

How long did it take to get used to putting on and off the contact lens?

It's been about 2 weeks for me and when I'm lucky it takes 1 try, while on the other days I take about 20 tries.

Is this normal?

It feels like I'll never get used to this, but is this how everyone feels at first?

I use a different technique where I place the contact lens on the side of the first joint of the finger(pointing finger). For the right eye I use my right hand, and for the left eye I use my left hand. I tilt my head down forward while my eyes are looking directly at the mirror, so I'm technically looking up while looking straight, and then place the contact lens. I take them off normally, using my right hand for both eyes.

Why do my eyes have a brown rim around them and should I be afraid?

I am 18 years old and I took of my contacts today to discover that I have a brown rim around my pupils.It kinda distorts my right eye and looks really strange.My eyes are normally brown but this rim is around the actual pupil - kinda where you can see the rim of contact lenses. I did fall asleep in my contacts but only for a couple of hours. Can someone please explain to me what is going on? I don't know if I should be freaking out or not.

Can a regular eye doctor (optometrist not ophthalmologist) tell if a person has aphakia?

And would they tell without having to look for it and so the first trip would be like: "I can see there's no lens in one of your eyes"?

Where can I get a FREE contact lens prescription WITHOUT purchase?

I am looking for somewhere that will give a FREE contact lens prescription WITHOUT a required purchase. I know that America's Best offers a "FREE Exam" with purchase, but I already HAD an exam and know my lens power. All I need is the actual piece of PAPER.

I was recently in Mexico and went to an eyeglass store where they gladly give you a free exam, along with your prescription, no questions asked. (they do things differently in Mexico) I even decided to go ahead and purchase contacts there, and have been wearing them for the last six months no problem.

Now I want to refill my prescription, but I keep getting turned down because my prescription is not from the USA! I have attempted to order from two different websites and got the same response both times. "We can't verify your prescription, and cannot call out of the country.". I have even tried ordering from a Canadian website that advertises "No Prescription Required", only to be told that if they ship to the states, they need to contact the doctor.

I have no insurance and am unemployed, which is why I waited till I knew I would be in Mexico where I could get everything done for FREE. But now even though I know my prescription and HAVE a prescription, everywhere still wants me to pay for another one!

I thought the United States Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act was created specifically for people like me, but apparently not.

So if anyone knows where I can get a piece of paper prescription MADE IN THE USA for FREE, it would be greatly appreciated!

I want to make a spider-man suit, not a cheap halloween costume. I know there are other people out there that make suits such as spidey4fun and spideyplanet, but their costumes are too expensive for me, i feel like i could easily make a costume for less than $200. I am looking for a comic style costume with original large frame eye lenses, classic spiders, and bright primary colors. Does anybody know any good fabrics or materials to work with? Why does my belly button ring keep getting infected?

I clean it everyday, twice daily with a saline solution. (Like you use for your contact lenses) I asked my pharmacist on what to clean it with, and he recommended that.Is there anything else besides a unscented soap I can use, and of course non iodized salt water? Thanks (:
Added (1). The belly button ring i have in now is surgical steel. I haven't changed it since I got it pierced. I got it pierced in May.

Problems with contact lenses? - 2

I wear monthly lenses, and have been for about a year now. I wash them and clean them properly, although sometimes I do wear them for more than a month. Occasionally they get small nicks or tears on the edge. Normally, I don't notice. However, with my latest pair which I started using a week ago, the edge of the contact lens has ripped significantly, so that it is no longer rounded and has a flat edge. This has been causing some mild discomfort. I don't want to have to throw the lenses away so soon, but I am worried that my eyes might become damaged.

How to clean ear piercings properly?

I just got my ears pierced today. I got BCR hoops and i'm not really sure how to clean them. I have saline solution from my contact lenses but i'm not sure if i should just drip the saline onto the hole and just rub it in or put the solution on kitchen roll and wipe around it which is very awkward especially with the hoops. Good ways to clean them? Thanks!

With these eye exam results, should I get glasses?

While getting a physical exam, my doctor recommended getting an eye exam (right eye 20/50, left eye 20/30). The optometrist wrote a prescription that has this information on it:
Right; Sphere: -0.50, Cylinder: -0.5, Axis: 125
Left; Sphere -0.5, Cylinder: -0.25, Axis: 025
Also marked: Anti-reflective coating, polycarb lenses, with diagnosis codes myopia and astigmatism.
I have no symptoms to speak of, but would like to maintain good eyesight.At the same time, I don't want to buy glasses I do not need, and (though I'm not sure if this really happens or not) I don't want my eyes to "become dependent" on glasses since they are okay now, without them.
Will getting glasses or not have any impact on my eyesight/health?

It also says on the packet that they are 'aqua comfort plus'
They are soft lenses.
Sorry if that isn't enough info.

My optician made me glasses but when I use it I see the size of things in the right Lens different than the left Lens which makes me see things slanted , when I look to the screen I see the right side bigger than the left, is it normal , and how long I need for my eyes to adjust , this is my first glass.

So i have been wearing contact lens for nearly a year and i have been wearing it everyday and until midnight, i know its a really bad thing, im sorry and its time i learn a lesson.So yesterday i saw a little red vien on top of my iris and then i saw a tiny tiny tiny tiny cloudy dot right on the line of the iris and i literally freaked out and took my contacts out.i told my mom and she just said its probably i scratched my cornea and it will be fine, we do have money for medication but my mom is just those chilled out person so yea. I suspect it to be a cornea ucler since a lot of information online says so and im so scared cuz i might get blind, but then i feel absolutely no pain, no irritation, not much redness in eye.So please can someone tell me its whats going on? thankyou + im 13

I went to get an eye exam like 2 days ago at my eye doctor and I learned that my right eye was a BIT worse than the other eye, I also got a new subscription. I told my doc that I had a few spare contact lens I haven't used yet with my old subscription. Since my eyes got a little worse, she said I could still wear them for a while until I needed new lens, so I wear them as usual and now I'm getting headaches on my left side, where my worse eye is at.Is something wrong!

Prescription glasses?

Hi, so every time I go to the eye doctor, they force me to choose their glasses but I never like any of the styles there.It's been a year since I got the pair I have now, which I don't like btw, and I'm apparently in need of another checkup.
So my questions are, can I bring in my glasses/sunglasses --it look similar to this -- and they replace the lens? Should I just ask my eye doctor for the prescription to order it online? and If I should order them online, do you know any online stores that sell good quality prescription glasses?
I saw a commercial on YouTube about Coastal.com, but I don't really know anything about them.

Contact lenses blurry at long distances. Optometrists Baffled?

Background Info:

I wear glasses, sport glasses(oakley for baseball) and contact lenses.
I have worn contacts for three years now. When I first started my vision was only slightly off so i wore dailies for sport, they then progressed to a worse prescription and found it more economical to try 2 week lenses. I wore these two types for 2 years without any problems.no discomfort, perfect vision.

While wearing my contacts I started to notice they would be uncomfortable and the vision would go blurry every now and then in both eyes.this continued for around 8 months.It got so bad my eyes were bloodshot and my contacts would no longer give me good vision. I then went into the optometrist who gave me ALREX eye drops because i had superficial punctate keratitis.this diagnosis was brought on by "allergies" a snowball effect of pollen in the air and use of contact lenses. After the treatment of these eye drops i tried several different contact lenses.the 2 week ones were very uncomfortable and burned.the daily ones felt perfectly fine… The doctor then came to th conclusion i was either allergic to the solution or the "silicon" in the Silicon Hydro gel… These daily contacts felt kind of ok but not the best…

Now:

When i wear contacts there is minor discomfort for the first 20 minutes (i guess expected) then after that they feel perfectly fine. BUT when i look at long distances my vision is blurry, i then can grab my eyelid and pull down and rub my eye and my vision will be fine again, after blinking several times, my vision is blurry again and i have to repeat this process several times a minute!

Two different optometrists have told me the contacts fit my eye fine and do not move around.So i am unsure what the problem is, I have tried washing the contact lenses with many different solutions before putting the lenses in my eye just in case its the solution.

The daily contacts I use: 1-day ACUVUE moist, johnson and johnson

Prescription is -2 in both eyes, this problem occurs in BOTH eyes.

I hope to god someone can help me because i need contact lenses.my glasses have the same prescription and so do my sport glasses and i have PERFECT vision with those two.

HELP!!!

Is it possible to get a prescription for contacts for?

Multiple different brands? I have Air Optix contacts and I was wondering if it is possible for my eye doctor to include colored contacts so I can have them for special occasions when I want to wear them instead of my normal contacts.

How to feel confident in approaching attractive guys?

I'm 17 and single. I've never had a boyfriend but I was seeing someone for a month, couple months back.
Anyway I'm Indian and there's this mixrace (half white and black I'm guessing from the look of him) guy same age as me that works locally, and I literally just see him around walking, he never stares as he always has music in his ears and he wears a cap and sometimes glasses.
He's not that hot, he's not liked by many girls, but I do find something really attractive of him.

Anyway I've never chatted to this guy.So I met up with an old friend couple days back and she knows him as she used to study at college with him, they're only friends. She deleted his number as well so she hasn't talked to him, and will only talk to him if she sees him around which is very unlikely as she's working pretty much 24/7.

I felt so happy when I found out that she knew him, as it gave me a chance to possibly meet up or talk to him as we have a mutual friend but she doesn't really seem bothered. She's busy with her boyfriend and her life and her work life, I don't think she's bothered in setting me up but I asked her would she ever come to the place he works with me, so she can start a conversation and I can talk too, she said yes.

I work too so I'm so busy to even have a social life now and I hardly see him walking around as I'm at work or college half of the time. I also just feel so bored of my look and I think when people look at me, they look at my skin because I have medium tan skin that has become darker as it's summer, it just doesn't have a glow and I have a problem with dry skin, whatever makeup I apply makes me look more grey-ish and always looks slightly cakey on my skin. I have dark circles too, lipsticks look *** on me, apart from dark lipsticks (but I hate dark lipsticks as it makes me look so old!!) light/medium lipsticks make me look washed out.

These days shops such as newlook have hardly any decent clothes but I guess I'll go for haircuts and shopping and get some contact lenses and new mascaras to feel a bit fresher but it's just so annoying the fact my skin doesn't want to me nice to me (because of lack of sleep and stress) I can't find solutions.

I eat healthy, I sleep about 6 - 9 hours a day which is normal for me, I drink water, I excercise all the time, i shower everyday, I use clinique products but nothing is working.So I'm going to purchase a pharmaclinix lightenex cream to brighten my skin as this is the look I want to achieve, not a pale ghostly grey look.

Please give me advice on what I should do about the guy and what I should do about my looks and confidence.

I see the guy sometimes at a bus stop but there's just never a right time to talk to him as he seems to be in his own little world with his headphones in and I rarely see him as I'm always busy. Give me advice please thank you

Why am I so ugly? Pics included?

I get bullied at school sometimes for being ugly and I always get rejected by girls I like. I'm 15 by the way. Every time I look in the mirror I look fine but yet when I go out and see my reflection I look horrible: L I have glasses but the pic doesn't have me with them on and I'm considering contact lenses. I also have an acne problem that I'm dealing with :/

Can I wear my contacts for one night?

I was wondering if it would be okay for me to sleep in my contacts for just one night. I have the acuvue oasys for astigmatism. One night I was at a friends house and accidentally fell asleep in them and woke up with my eyes feeling fine.So would one night hurt?

Legally blind in one eye, driving restrictions in Ohio?

I'm legally blind in my left eye since birth and am wondering what, if any, special requirements I will have once I get a driver's license. I live in Ohio and they let me test for and obtain a permit and the officer acted like it was no big deal when I told him I actually forgot I was legally blind in that eye taking the eye exam because it doesn't affect me much at all. I wear glasses but the left lens is plain glass because that eye is beyond help. Basically my question is this: What will my special requirements be, if any, as a legal driver who is legally blind in one eye in Ohio? Will I need to have my car fitted with an extra long rearview mirror as I've heard of in other states? Will I need to retake the eye exam more often? Will I have to take the whole driver's test when I renew my license?

It's just a regular eye test but my parents are agreeing to let me buy contact lenses because my eyesight is terrible, even though it's just a regular eye test can I bring it up or do I have to make a separate appointment?

Wearing contacts in an accident?

My friend was in a serious car accident 7 months ago.shes ok now but i just had a random thought… she wears contacts like i do.if i were in an accident while wearing them what happens? do the doctors take them out or what? i wouldn't think that would be a top priority thing after a accident but i know leaving them in to long can be bad.so… what happens? and how do they know if you have them? unless they get your id and can see you have corrective lenses how would they know?

Does My Physical Characteristics Good Enough for Modeling in Japan?

I'm Asian & 14 Years old. Currently self-learning Japanese for 2 Months & now in 3rd Year High School Student.(Language known English, Tagalog, Korean, T-Chinese).

My facial features are quite similar to PH-CN-KR. I have Innocent double eye-lid and has dark brown eyes.My nose is high (Not Flat-Not to High nor Big), Korean-style lips & brows. Has thick-healthy straight dark-brown hair. (Any hairstyles suits me [Short-Long-Wavy etc.]).

Has Medium Breast, U-V shaped face and has girl abs and that is Semi-S/Cola shaped body. White-Tan skin complexion (Since I love the beach). I don't know my height exactly but I think I'm like 5'5-6. (I'm still growing, yet haven't got any sleep). I'm not really aiming for the run-away modeling just on fashion magazines cutie-cool stuffs. Though I'm planning when I become an adult I'll take PS though I think that would cost much money.So what do you think?

Can I wear air optix 30 day and night in the shower?
