What kind of frame (for glasses) would like we'll of you have a thick lense?

So my prescription in vision is pretty high because of that my lenses are thick. I usually get contacts but would like to get glasses so my eyes can take a break from contacts. Is there a style of frame that will hide the thick lenses?

I've had a blind spot in my left eye from the age of 8 years old

I'm now 44 and went to the optician because I really can't see any letter or angthing no matter how big the letters are! When I asked the optician if I should get contact lenses they replied that my blind spot eye isn't connected to my brain and there's no hope for this eye? Why are they not referring me to a specialist? Why can I not be told what is causing my left eye to almost stop working?

How do I get contact lenses?

I have an appointment with my eye doctor tomorrow, usually I get new glasses once a year, but I want to get contacts. How do I go about doing that? (I'm only 14)
