Vision test on a medical for working on the railway?

I've previoisly been working on the railway for few years but now moved somewhere else and want me to do another medical I had the same problem when I done it back then and I just want some answers. I wear contact lenses and I also have a lazy eye have had it since birth but when I do the vision test they try tell me both eyes need to meet up to the same requirements? Having a lazy eye is something you adapt to from your brain with my normal eye it make my overall vision fine which meets up to the requirements! But they are trying to get me to wear glasses on top of contact lenses to make my lazy eye better but that will never make any difference I no other people must work on the railway with a lazy eye too just want some answers or information? I no lazy eye is not the correct term but I can't temember the name of it. Many thanks.

Cartilage Piercing cleaning with contact solution?

Okay, so i got my cartilage pierced with a needle (if this has any effect) and i ran out of the cleaning solution they gave me so on a whim I went and bought a saline contact lens solution because it has the same active ingredient as the professional solution (sodium chloride) which is the same active ingredient in the saline contact solution.

Is it okay to keep using this stuff?

If not what can I use and don't tell me hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol because you shouldn't used them because they slow down the healing process?

Thanks

If you have astigmatism in both eyes do you see better with your glasses than contacts?

I know there are contacts for astigmatism now, but I'm talking about regular contacts.

I see better with my glasses that include the measure of astigmatism, than my regular contact lenses.

Is that normal?

Do contacts for astigmatism work well?
Added (1). Great answer, thanks!

Is there that big of a difference between BC 8.4 and 8.3 contact lens?

I'm trying to get rid of the Acuvue Oasys brand b/c they always crinkle up on me or get those ripples around the edges and I can't wear them because they sting. I want to go back to the brand I had before my doctor changed me, which was Acuvue Advanced, only the only size they have are BC 8.3. The Oasys are BC 8.4.

Different eye color changing contact lens?

I would really love to have different color eyes but I don't want to have a risky operation so I thought if it is possible to have different eye color changing lens even though I don't need contact lens? Like, my eyes are compeletly fine, I don't need glasses or something like this, so lens only for changing it?

Can you take your reader eye glasses into a store to give them prescription lenses?

I have these reader glasses I got online, I thought they were for prescription, but they aren't. So, I'm stuck with these readers, and I don't need them to see. I need prescription lenses!

Is there any eye store that will take my reading glasses and put my prescription lenses in them?

How can I improve my vision?

I've never been able to see clearly, ever since I was born my mom says that my vision was bad, and that I was going to be blind from my left eye. Over time I gained vision with both eyes. I started to wear glasses when I was 5 years old and I would always break them on accident. So my mom decided to save money and not get me any glasses until I was 11. She says that that made my vision worse, I'm not too sure about that I'm 18 now and over the years I've noticed that every year my lens get thicker, which is why i hate going to the eye doctor now. Is there any natural way to cure my vision? Do glasses make my vision worse? If so please help any information would be helpful. Thank you

Are these CONTACTS LENSES OK for me!

Ok so my prescription is power. -4.75
Base curve 8.7. And diameter is 14.2

http://www.visiondirect.co.uk/contact-lenses/monthly-contact-lenses/frequency-55

I'm interested in these frequency 55 lenses since those are what I have worn previously. However here is the glitch. My base curve is 8.7 exactly. These online lenses are only offered in 8.6 and 8.8. So should I still buy them and which base curve should I get the 8.6 or 8.8 if I'm an 8.7?

Also how come there are no monthly contacts on this site with my exact prescription?
