What is the estimate time for safe usage of non prescribed, fashion use, contact lens?

I want to get some contact lens for my Halloween costume, but I hear stuff about eye infections (like 1 out of 500) I would like to wear them for about 6-7 hrs if it is safe enough to.

My Eye Contacts Are Blurry?

Well I had just gotten contacts about a week ago and I made sure I had followed all the instructions the optometrist had told me. But whenever I wear them they start off clear but then turn very blurry, I ve worn them about 4 or 5 times. What should I do? I would like to start wearing them full time.

Why you order contacts online, how come you can t enter a different number for the BC and Dia?

I m new to contacts and the pair my doctor gave me, bauche and lomb ultra, are $60/box of 6. I wear a pair for 30 days and then throw them out. When I look for a cheaper brand, the BC and Dia are off a tiny bit. Does this small amount matter? They re only off by.1 or.2. I looked at acuvue oasys specifically. They re 1/3 of the price. Please help me:(

I'm like only 14 and I already have -3 and -3.5 in my eyes. My mom is always like", Hey c'mon. Don't do computer. Nobody's ever gonna marry ya with those huge ugly specks of yours. " im really scared about that and on top of it, i want, idk why, a wife/girlfriend like Anne Hathaway. I idolize her! Anyway, how can my eyes like get better? Please Help!

What does it mean when a product is on 'back order'?

So, I went to the eye doctor and had an exam and also my eyes dilated. This was two weeks ago. And I ordered some contact lenses because all the eye glasses fall off my nose no matter what kind. So I have used contacts before but it has been a while since I haven't. My eyes are both -5.50 in the prescription. The lady there did not give me any trials and charged me 54.00 plus tax for each box. Well two days ago, she called me and told she had to charge me more for the boxes. Its acuvue for astigmatism. I went in again and paid. Today she called again saying that the contacts were on back order. I asked her why. She told me that she didn't know for how long they were going to be on back order. That it could be a week, a month a year, ten years. So I asked for my money back and she said impossible. But what does back order mean?

For halloween, I'm getting colored contacts for my look. I wear daily contact lenses, & the halloween contacts are not available in prescriptions. Would it be possible to wear one of my daily contacts with the colored one on top of it? Is that safe?

I don't wear nose rings or tongue rings. I don't wear fake nails or nail polish. I don't wear contact lenses. I don't go to parties or clubs. I don't bump and grind on guys. I don't twerk and I don't swing on poles. I don't wear thongs. I don't strip or give guys lap dances. I don't call guys on the phone to have phone sex. I'm not a gold digger. I don't makeout with guys in public. I don't rough play with guys. I don't wear high heel shoes and revealing clothes with an intention of getting guys to check me out. I like to cover myself because I respect myself. I don't follow the crowd or try to fit in. I like to follow my own lead and stand out of my peers. I don't hang around bad friends. I am not pressured by my peers because I know right from wrong and I won't allow them. I remained true to myself. I am unpopular and I like myself just the way I am. I will never change myself for anyone. What is so cool about being popular? Popular people aren't any better than me and you. They are human beings just like me and you. I'm not materialistic and I wear what my parents can afford. I am content with what I have.
Added (1). I know that I am doing the right thing by now having any friends. Because two many friends are bad. I did a good thing by following my own lead and remaining true to myself. I know that I am doing the right thing by living a righteous and clean lifestyle. They say that when good girls die they go to heaven and when bad girls die they go to hell. When I die I want to go to heaven. And the way to heaven is by not taking part in worldly things or lusting for sexual immorality and material desires.

Can I wear non-toric lenses for Halloween? (I have astigmatism)?

I would like to wear a pair of novelty lenses for Halloween, but I have astigmatism. I've seen all kinds of answers, so figured I'd stop looking and just ask.

My prescription is:
Left: -2.00 -0.75 x 110
Right: -2.25 -.075 x 90

I know that I'm on the line for needing astigmatism lenses. However, when I got my prescription, I actually walked out wearing the L eye as a non-astigmatism lense because they didn't have mine in stock. I honestly didn't even notice a difference when I switched the next week. And added to that, my R eye is between strengths, so I've gotten used to everything being a little fuzzy for a few years now on that side.

With this in mind, can I order novelty lenses in my strength (just non-toric), and be ok? Is there anything I should be aware of if I do so?

Alcon's Opti-free Express or Replenish?

I'm a new contact lens wearer and for the past two months I've been using the opti free express solution, because it's the one that the optician suggested to me. However, today at the drugstore I got the replenish one by accident, and later I noticed that they are basically the same product.
So, I wanted to know which one is best to use? Is there any actual difference between those two?

High prescription sports glasses UK?

Specsavers tell me my prescription is too high for sports glasses, which I desperately need to play football properly. Some sites specialise in sports frames to fit high prescription lenses, but they're not the style I was wanting.

I don't understand how in 2015 (almost 2016), with the technology we have, they can't make lenses to fit into smaller frames. So I'm basically stuck with scaffolding and 4 inch glass on my face until I get laser eye surgery.

Does anyone know anywhere that would do sports glasses for high prescription in the UK?

I have glasses right now and there are so annoying. They tend to make me busy by making me clean the glasses lenses all the time. I have an eye appointment this month and I want to get contact lenses because my glasses don't fit on me because I have a flat nose bridge and my glasses just seem to just slowly fall and it bugs me.

Freshlook colorblends vs acuvue 2 colors? - 2

I have dark brown eyes, and i'm interested in blue color contacts. The freshlook colorblends are beautiful! And i think they look very natural. My complaint is that the pupil diameter is too wide and shows some of my natural brown color around the pupil, which i think looks bizarre up close (farther away you cannot tell).

the acuvue cover all the brown and are somewhat easier to put in/take out, except i'm less thrilled with the color.

which would you choose- contact A with the great color from a few feet away but up close you can kind of see the natural color, or contact B that covers all the natural color, but with a less than great color blue?

What are the best contacts for dry eyes and a dry work environment?

I have worn contacts for over 10 years. My AcuVue Advance Plus isn't cutting it for my new job. They're getting a bit dry during general wear, but I work at a printing company where I do visual quality checks of paper and products all day long. My eyes get really dry due to the dry environment, heat from machines, fans, etc.

From what I understand, the water content can affect how dry they get. The ones I have now are 47 percent. Should I be looking for some with less water content or more? Which is better?

I already have my contact lens prescription. I'm a -6.00. 14.00 DIA and BC of 8.4.

I have been looking at Air Optix Night And Day Aqua. I prefer to put mine in during the morning and take them out at night before bed. However, the BC only comes in 8.4 and 8.6. My BC with my previous prescription was 8.7, and my new eye doctor changed it to 8.4 this time. Also, the Air Optix only come in 13.8 DIA. How much will this effect me? Is there something similar to them that I could get in the 8.4BC and 14.0DIA?

Any other similar brands?

How would one go about designing special effects contact lenses?

I have an idea for a design, and I think people would really enjoy it…it would work in so many different arenas. I am also going to copyright the idea. I have been looking online for laboratories that help with prototyping and manufacturing, but have been unsuccessful. I have only encountered companies that make custom lenses but they keep the rights to the individual's idea…I did contact them with my question (on the off chance they might know, or be willing to point me in the right direction) and with the exception of one company, all of the others were extremely rude to me. I would really appreciate any help!:)

Super self conscious about no makeup?

Hi so I think I'm pretty ugly. I always wear a lot of makeup (looking back, too much- I will tone it down) but I think with makeup I look pretty cute. However, without makeup I look HORRIBLE. Can't even compare. It's awful. I am a Chem major and in one of my labs we can't wear any makeup. I'm mortified. Everyone has seen me with lots. I know I wear too much but I'm scared everyone will talk behind my back. Also, I wear green contacts ( I just like them) but evryone will see my brown eyes. I swear I'm not a shallow person I just feel so self- conscious and need some advice. What would you say if you saw someone look really different? Thanks

White/Fully White Lace Contact Lenses? Cosplay?

Alright, so I have never worn contacts before, but I am going to be cosplaying the character Storm this year at the New York Comic Con. I was wondering if White Lace Contacts could be recommended for this event? Some reviews say these contacts are a bit foggy. I really want my Storm cosplay to look legit, but I want to be able to look at all the cool things Comic Con has to offer as well.
