My dad thinks contact lenses are a bad idea?

I'm nearly 13 and for starters I don't even know if I'm old enough for contacts. But even if I ask my dad if I can get them at 14 or 15 he goes on about how easy you can get eye infections and that I don't need them. He says they r useless when u have glasses and that theres really no point coz I have glasses. Problem is im getting braces soon and I'm afraid I'll look like ugly betty and all that. How can I get him to understand?

What has gone wrong with my eye? Getting me down and annoyed?

Okay so about three years ago i started getting headaches which i got glasses for, since then i have had a recent optician's appointment which confirmed i needed a stronger lens which i now have had for about 6 months this has more or less solved the headaches. Now, getting to my point..in the past three years my left eye has seemed to move down about a cm the eyelid is now not even with the other. What is wrong with me? How do i correct this?

Hi… I always wanted ocean blue eyes (mine are chocolate brown) I'm very fair so I think it will suit me… and its my birthday coming up on 26 so I wondered if any of u have used any good company's colored lenses? Is it possible to get free glasses based on my insurance?

When I went to get an eye exam last Monday (which was free) afterwards they let me pick from a selection of the glasses from a certain area on the shelves. They didn't tell us any price after I picked them up. I get the lenses on Monday but I just want to know was it free or what because they didn't give me any price. Also it was my first time buying glasses from that store.

Pinkeye (conjunctivitis) and a viral infection.?

My ex is living with a woman who has a daughter with another man, but she doesn't live with them, as her father has pretty much full custody, so she is there 2 or 3 times a week. Her daughter has recently contracted pink eye and a viral infection so is having eye drops as well as paracetamol 4 times a day to ease her… and the night she is meant to be staying there, is also the night my daughter is supposed to be staying there. I really don't want my daughter to catch it as its not nice at all and im prone to catching it as i wear contact lenses. I've had it a couple of times in the past and it was horrible so i don't want my daughter going through it too. Would i be unreasonable to tell them my daughter can not stay for a few days until it clears? me and the ex and his gf do not see eye to eye at all and they try to find any excuse to bad mouth me and make me look like im being horrible to him.any thoughts on this? thanks x

New eyeglass prescription makes peripheral vision blurry?

I have had astigmatism since the third grade (I am 24 now), so I am fully aware that there is a period of adjustment when receiving a new eyeglass prescription. This is especially true for me because I have a very high power in my lenses.

However, I picked up my new glasses this morning, and I am finding that the right eye is blurrier than the left, especially around the periphery of my vision. If I look at something straight on, it is pretty clear, but if I turn to look over my right shoulder, everything is a blurred mess. This isn't happening, at least not to such a noticeable degree, in my left eye.

My left eye had a bigger prescription change than the right, so I am a little bit confused. Will this go away over the next couple of days? I can't recall this ever happening to this degree with a new prescription. Thanks for any input!
Added (1). Thanks for the answer! I guess I should have clarified that I cannot wear contacts due to my astigmatism. When I refer to my peripheral vision, I mean looking through the lens at an angle from the side. When I do that, everything blurs/looks weird in just the right lens, not so much the left.

How to put on contact lenses if you have a stiff eyelid?

I have small eyes and a very stiff upper eyelid- it can't really be stretched and pulled up. Plus, when i pull up my upper eyelid and pull down my lower eyelid, it is not much bigger than my regular eye size. Can someone give me tips on how to put the contacts on?

How often do you change contact Solution?

I just got monthly contacts and i was wondering if you change your solution every time you take out your lenses or just when they are dirty?

They are soft cup and the solution is Revita Lens Ocutec.

Usually after a long day of work or activities, my contact lenses dry out and it makes me blink a lot. And after rubbing eyes, I start getting red eyed after a while.Is this normal? What happens if you take a nap in contacts?

Tomorrow I'm going on a trip about 2 1/2 hours away. Normally I take naps on car trips but now I have contacts. If I did fall asleep for like a 1/2 hour what would happen. I have soft lenses if that makes a difference.

Should I Get Colored Contacts? - 2

I always wear clear prescription contact lenses but I was thinking of switching it up a bit with colored contacts.
I have dark brown (almond shaped if that helps?) eyes, and I have a Carmel skin tone and dark brown hair and I'm Asian and Hispanic.
I don't want colored contacts that would make it too fake for me (ex: aqua blue eyes). I just want a hazel or lighter brown color.Is that considered too fake? /: like I said I just wanna play around with my contacts and see how it is with colored. I'm still deciding if I should get colored.

I have been using BioTrue contact lens solution and only have enough to fill up the trays one more time so would it be bad if I used Opti-free replenish contact lens solution to rinse my lenses off in the morning then continue to use it after that?

Are my contact lenses too big?

So last year I went to my optometrist to be fitted for contact lenses and now I'm all used to them, but I'm still questioning the fit. I got Air Optix Aqua lenses, with a base curve of 8.6, and a diameter of 14.2. When I put the lens on my eye, it covers my iris, but also extends into the white part of my eye so you can easily tell I'm wearing contacts.does this mean that they're too big and that I should move down to a smaller DIA? I was browsing the internet and if I were to moved down to a smaller DIA like 14, I only see a BC of 8.3 or 8.4.this shouldn't make too much of a difference right? I was thinking of trying acuvue oasis but I invite other suggestions. Thank you for your help in advance. :)

Big Nerd Glasses on a girl?

So I saw my eye doctor today and long story short - I need to stop wearing contacts and get glasses.

Tomorrow I'm getting them but I was trying on some family and friends glasses to see what looked best and I really like the big "nerd" frame glasses. I think they sit best on my face but at my school i'm already labled as a "hipster" because I like alternative indie music and dress like a "hipster" so I'm afraid if i come to school with these on- what will my friends or just random people think.

I don't know - it doesn't really matter what they think but I just wanted some oppinions. I hope no one thinks they are fake because I know tons of people who wear fake nerd glasses with no lenses and it looks retarded in my opinion.

Do I have a brain tumor?

'm 15 and get regular headaches, I've had them all my life, but they've started to get so bad the last year it's unbearable.It's like a pulsing pain around my head, then there will be pressure in just one spot. (Top left near my temple).It makes me tired a lot, my eyes and hurt all the time aswell. I've been to the optitions and had my eyes tested, they gave me a weak pescription (as that's all I need) and tinted the lenses because of the light. I've been to the doctors about them and I've had blood tests, taken countless medications and my sinuses have been checked aswell, but there's nothing wrong, so the doctor suggested I go to a neurologist.My memory has been playing up a lot and my concentration has got worse. I don't get seizures but my limbs and muscles jerk and twitch a lot, which is unusual for me. What do you guys think? Thanks x

Do i need 1.74 high index lenses?

My Rx is -5.75 sphere -1 cylinder on the OD. -6.50 sphere and -.75 cylinder on the OS. Axis is both 180. PD is 61mm.

I had bought a pair of glasses that were 53 - 17 - 145 and b 33.7
my eye was not centered.it was very close to the inside/nose part of the lens.

the frames looked bad on me because my head was so small when you looked at me through the glasses (and made me look like a chipmunk). they were 1.67 high index.

i am getting a new pair, that is 51 - 19 - 145 and b 34. these are 2mm less wide in each lens (only 51 instead of 53). further, my eye sits in the center of these. they are also a thicker frame so it should "frame off" any distortions when looking at my head better.

anyways, do i need 1.74 high index or is 1.67 just the same? many have said 1.67 will do the same. but the people selling them are big on having me get 1.75 and polished. these frames are thick. i doubt i'll notice even if the lenses are thinner or polished.

is there anything bad about getting 1.74 besides the money loss?

Can i wear regular (plano) colored contacts with astigmatism of this prescription?

I recently got contacts and was told that i have an astigmatism so i can't wear colored contacts but i never asked if it was because they would not correct my vision or if they would just not fit. I purchased a 6 month supply of prescription contacts for vision correction, so i thought maybe i could buy 2 boxes of colored ones for special occasions and occasionally change my eye color. When i looked at freshlook toric contacts however i noticed that their prescription is limited, and mine is too high. I asked a friend and she said i can in fact use regular contacts that are Plano even if i have astigmatism but they would not correct my vision. I wanted to know if this is true, i wouldn't be wearing them all the time and i'm used to my vision without correction so i thought it's worth looking into. Anyway i have my prescriptions which are:

Right eye: BC:8.6 DIA 14.5 D -3.25 CYL/AXIS -1.25 030
and
Left eye: BC8.6 DIA 14.5 D 2.25 CYL/AXIS -2.25 170

When i checked the freshlook toric contacts the D on my prescriptions was much higher, and i noticed regular contacts have a different prescription which only asks for power. I'm wondering if it is possible for me to wear regular non toric colored contacts with my astigmatism occasionally if they are plano. Any help would be great. :)
Added (1). On the left eye i forgot to add a - sign on the D so it's actually -2.25.
Added (2). It's weird but actually i've never had much of an issue with my vision it's a little blurry but i can see things pretty well. :) It's true that my vision correction is more important but sometimes we're a little vain so i just wanted to try changing my eye color on occasion but i'll be wearing my prescription ones most of the time.

Contacts are very uncomfortable?

I have been wearing contacts for about 2 years now. They're comfortable until this week. I always end up taking them out around 2 PM because it keeps moving around or my eye lids (Inside) hurts.
I think it's because my eyes are dry. How should I treat dry eyes?

My contacts brand is Air Optix, it's breathable.

What do you think is causing the dryness or whatever that is making my contacts moving around?
My upper eye lid (Inside)… every time I blink it lifts up my contacts and move it around.
After taking my contacts out, my eyes hurts a lot, (especially my eye lids)
This is to both eyes. I remember about a month ago my contacts were perfectly fine and would end up taking them out before going to bed.
This all started after one of my contacts had a rip in it and it started hurting… I don't think that has to deal with anything but ever since that, my contacts started to hate me.

My eye stings when I put my contact lenses in?

I put in my contacts and my eye started to sting so I changed it (every 2 weeks I can change contacts) and washed the contacts thoroughly with the solution but my eye still stung from it. What should I do? It only hurt my right eye for some reason.

New glasses: is my prescription wrong?

I've been wearing corrective lenses for ten years. However, for six out of those ten years, I've been wearing contacts. I decided that I wanted to get glasses to keep on the side to give my eyes a break after long days at work. I just picked up my new frames today and have them on now. However, I'm wondering if my prescription is off. Mind you, I haven't worn glasses in six years, so it may just be that I'm so used to contacts.It seems as though my depth perception is a little off.Is this normal when transitioning to glasses? Would it be bad to wear contact lenses for over 12 hours?

It's acuvue true eye, one of the top daily disposables. Some opticians told me to wear it for 8 hours, some said 10, and some said 12. I can wear if for over 10 hours no problem, but I have a concert soon, and it will last from the morning (interval) afternoon (interval) evening.So much longer than 12 hours. I can't take it off when I'm not performing, as I would have a lot of make up on… Is that ok?

I supposedley have an astigmatism, my left eye is suppose to be worse than my right, but I have had glasses for poor vision for years now. The supposed astigmatism is recent.

I was able to take them out at the optometrists and put them in, but now I can't take them out. I've tried grasping at it with my thumb and index finger and have tried everything to get them out. I'm able to move them, but not get them out.

Taking out Contacts Feels Weird? - 1

When I take out contacts I pinch the contacts on the pupil and take it out.
Is it supposed to feel all weird and itchy and "tickle-y"?
I have soft lenses and I just got them yesterday. I just want to make sure that I am not harming my eye.
If this is normal, will it go away?
These weird, itchy feelings happen as I pinch the contact, not afterwards.
(it feels kind of "nerve-racking", like I jump bumped a nerve)

I have also tried moving the contacts down towards the pupil, but I feel the same feeling when I move it down and I feel too slow to take it out before the contact moves back up to the pupil again.

Signs of scratched cornea?

I feel like something is in my left eye, but there's nothing there. I wear a contact lens in my left eye and the past couple of days it's just felt bothersome, so I took it out as soon as I got home from school.It's been several hours and I've flushed my eye with water and it still feels like something is in my eye.
It's not painful by any means. Just a bit annoying.Is this a scratched cornea? If so, how long until it heals?
Added (1). I'm very responsible with my contacts, but I wear them Monday-Friday for school and give my eyes a break on the weekends.

Cleaning contact lenses?

So I just got my contacts today, but I am not wearing them. That's because I have a concern I just forgot to ask my doctor. Haha, oops.

How do you exactly.clean your contacts?
I brought them home in newly freshly put solution in a case. And say I want to wear them now.Do I have to empty out the solution, fill it up again, dip my contacts in them, and THEN put them on.

Or do I just take them out of the solution and put them on?

Okay then at the end of the day, my contacts would come off, right? Do I empty out the solution, fill it up again, and the insert the contacts into the case?

I have a set of contact lenses in their unopened packaging that I want to bring on my carry on when I fly out of Chicago on Thursday. Does the TSA allow this? It's just two lenses in unopened packaging and there is very little liquid in them. Driving without my glasses?

So I lost My glasses Jetskiing. If I were to get pulled over driving and I said I had contacts because my license says corrective lenses whould I get a ticket or will they make me take my contact out to prove it or something. I accidently dropped my contact lens into the sink?

Then i cleaned it with solution and put it in my eye.
my eye started tearing and stinging.but i left it there, after a few minutes it got back to normal and the tearing& stinging stopped.

I'm scared to wear my glasses in case they get broken?

Well I have to wear glasses PERMANENTLY! No matter what. Without them I cannot see close up and I cannot see distances, I get migraines and will go dizzy etc.etc.
Because of this, I thought it would be a good idea to invest in a nice pair of glasses.
I go an amazing pair of D&G glasses, my Dad paid for them and they were my 13th birthday present, and they were SUPER expensive.
I go to an all boys school and they can be really immature, rough and silly at times.
And they always want to see what I look like without my glasses and they taking them off my face.
I'm not ashamed of what I look like without (or with) them just I don't want them to get broke.
People are always pushing and elbowing and it just makes my heart pound.
My parents would literally MURDER me if ANYTHING happened to them.
Actually, they already have a scratch on them.
I was outside and some guys were messing around, one of them pushed the other really hard and they accidents knocked me and my glasses flew off of my faces and landed on the floor.
Their was a little scratch. I haven't told my parents about this, I just try not too look directly at them.
I do get a lot of compliments on my glasses, which is a good thing, but I do hate the attention!
And people are always asking me how much they cost … not that it's any of their business -_-
What do I do?
I told my Mum a while ago that I was scared to wear them in case they got broken and she just said it was my own fault for choosing them. I don't know what to do?
I could get contact lenses, but then all that money has been wasted!

I didn't mean about the contacts, I meant about the glasses - because if I am wearing contacts, I ain't gonna be wearing my glasses!

GEO Contact Lenses: Help?

Okay so I bought these contact lenses from GEO. And this is my first time wearing lenses.

They arrived inside a small bottle with "water" (lol?) and I was wondering if I can clean my lenses with that before wearing? Thank youuu!

Can I bring disposable contacts in my carry on luggage?

Im flying from Vancouver to Phoenix and then Phoenix to Florida tomorrow and I was wondering if Im able to keep my disposable lenses in my carry on? I wouldn't be bringing any extra solution, just 10 days worth of disposables. Will they confiscate it, or will it be ok?

Wearing Contacts and Glasses?

My optometrist suggested that I wear contacts for 7 to 8 hours a day then switch to glasses so my eyes can take in more oxygen.
I wear soft contact lenses in the day time

Is this normal??? Aren't people usually allowed to wear contacts for really long periods of time? I want to be able to wear contacts for 13 hours a day.

Why does it feel like there is something in my eye (contact lens)?

I've been wearing contact lenses for about 5 years now but 2 days ago I felt something in my left eye like when something is under the lens. I took it out, soaked it in the liquid, rubbed it a little and put it back. About 10 minutes later I had the same problem so I repeated the process just to find that the feeling came back again. I decided to change the lens. The new lens felt exactly the same! It was night so I threw that lens out too and went to sleep. Today I put on a new pair again, and the feeling is back… It's only my left eye. What could be wrong? I never experienced anything like this before. :(

Water coming out of my right eye?

(13 years old) water often comes out of my right eye. Its not tears of joy or sadness because I wouldn't be thinking about stuff happy or sad when it happens!

What's wrong?
Is there something wrong with my left eye?

(I don't wear glasses, contact lenses, have a glad eye, take eye drops our any other sort of thing like that)

Why do my eyes have this painful burning sensation when i put my contacts in!

They are daily wear 1 year lenses. Used to be pretty comfortable, but for the last few days, my eyes burn when i put them in. This isn't permanent though, it burns for a while, then I tear heavily, and then things get normal, in about 10 minutes. But why is this initial burning sensation? It wasn't like this before. Started a few days back.

How to tell if my eye prescription is too strong?

I broke my glasses, and I had to go to a different optometrist because I got my first pair less than a year ago on vacation over 5 states away. I went to contacts as well; they're Avaira 2wks. The optometrist didn't take very long doing my exam, and I don't know if the prescription is wrong, if it's me adjusting to the contacts, or a combination of both. I had a really light prescription (I believe it was -.075 in each eye) and a little bit of astigmatism in my first pair of glasses. The new prescription that I have in now is a -1.25 in each eye. This new optometrist said my astigmatism wasn't pronounced enough to warrant the extra cost of toric lenses. However, I have been wearing my glasses to drive, and the prescription still seems perfect for me. These new contacts, however, seem almost TOO sharp, and it makes it a bit hard to focus, and reading up close (even on my computer as I'm doing now) is a little bit blurry at times, and rather hard to focus. What should I do?

What should I expect when I first start wearing air optix contacts?

I have been wearing contacts and glasses for years! for the last 2yrs I have worn acuvue hydroclear. I never had any real problems with them except some dryness and blurryness at the end of the day.but I have have just switched to air optix day and night contacts.this is my second day wearing them. I really wanted them so I can sleep in them.but I hate them so far.my usight is sharp but the keep drying out so bad and getting blurry.and they feel so uncomfortable! I keep using rewetting drops but they dry out right after i use them.is this normal because they are a new brand? I haven't taken them out since I put them in because the eye doctor told me I can just keep them in for 30 days straight what should I do please help?

What should I pack in my carry on? 8 Hour Flight?

I need some things to keep me entertained on my 8 hour flight! It's from 6:30pm to 11:30am. (I know that's more than 8 hours but the time zone is different in Frankfurt.) Contact lenses problems?

Recently, i've been wearing my contact lens and it's a little blurry. I tried cleaning it and rubbing it, but when i put them on it's the same.Is it time to throw away my lens? It's disposable lens, but a month hasn't been up yet. Plus, when i take them out, my eyes seems to itch.
I tried to put eyedrops, or whenever i yawn and there is water in my eyes, the blurry vision is gone. But after awhile, the blurry vision comes back again.

Should I wear my glasses all the time?

I have glasses and I have to wear them all the time but I look horrible with them! My vision has gotten really bad I don't know the number thingy of my eyes but the lenses kinda thick I wear them in school but not in the hallways and when I enter the class I usually put them on for the period but right when I get home I take them out of bag and wear them the whole day til 2:40pm-9:30pm or 10.So I wear them for 7-8 hours a day is this enough to keep my vision stable? But what do I do I don't want to get blinder! I am 15 going to be 16 on May 23rd, can't afford contacts, and I might take surgery to get perfect vision.

I don't know my new contact numbers but i used to wear -2.5 and -2.75 in my contacts so what would my glasses of been? if there's a difference i need to know because my eye sight got worse so i used -2.75 in both eyes but now my new ones one of them is -2.75 but the other is like 4 or 3? and i'm pretty sure both my eyes are worse than -2.75 because i couldn't see anything with either eye using them like closing one eye then the other still a blur so what do u think?

Right contact is a bit blurry?

I got some trial contacts yesterday after my eye exam.this is my first time wearing prescription contacts.i was diagnosed with astigmatism.i was also told that i have a different prescription in each eye.i have toric lenses.my left eye feels fine and together, both eyes give me clear overall vision.however, my right eye seems to go out of focus and blur up a bit.im aware the contact on the right side is there, but i dont even notice the left one.what could it be? any help is appreciated.i have a follow up appointment scheduled on the 26th.could it be that im simply getting used to wearing them? i remember it took a while for me to get used to wearing my glasses when i first got them.thanks in advance!

Clear contact lenses that make your eyes twinkle?

I know this Is a ridiculously weird question, but sometimes I see people who have really kinda shiny eyes, like their pupils reflect more light, which looks super attractive in my opinion. I wear normal clear contact lenses because of my vision, but I was just wondering if there are contact lenses out there that are clear but reflect more light than usual, making eyes twinkle (in a natural way)

How to not care what people think of my new look? why were they teasing me?

So usually I attend College looking disheveled and geeky because I really can't be bothered dressing up. But last week I bought some lenses so ditched my glasses and decided to wear a little eye make up. I thought I'd also make an effort to look smart so wore a nice jacket(usually i wear a long coat) and tied my hair into a perfect bun (my hair is usually scruffy).

After College finished these girls from my class asked me if I'd walk home with them I just said to them "I'm going to hang around town for a bit"(i wanted to buy a mothers day gift). She asked "ooh are u going to meet someone?" I simply replied "no"

Then they started laughing and joked "Laura's going clubbing" and I told them I'm not the type (I'm an introvert). But they continued joking that I'm going out partying somewhere.

Later she asked me again who I'm going to meet, at this point I got annoyed and just responded "it's none of your business!" then she said "that means she is meeting someone,(then she whispered) no-wonder she's dressed up"

I also think they talk behind my back since I changed my look and giggle like school girls.

So I'm wondering now if I should go back to my scruffy ways since people make such a big deal? I'm also wondering if they think I'm an undercover sluuuut :( you know how silly gossip spreads.It's like I'm back in high school again. What is they problem?

But I want to change my look in order to get a decent job but I hate being judged and have confidence issues.

Where to get contacts online for high astigmatism?

My left eye has astigmatism and I can't find contact lenses online that have my prescription.So, my cylinder is -3.00 and the highest I've seen is -2.5 so I don't know where to go to get contacts? Also, my axis is 176. Contacts only have 170 and 180 so do I round up or is that bad? Thanks.
Added (1). @footprintz my optician told me that he would get me a contacts prescription? that's what I asked for… did he just give me a glasses prescription?

Is it possible to get prescription costume contacts?

I am really scared of damaging my eyes, but I would love some contacts to complete a costume I have.Do doctors offer prescription contact lenses for costumes? If so, how much does a pair of costume contacts cost? I would only feel safe putting something on my eyes that a doctor gave me.

I'm a teenager and have had glasses since I was 7. I really hate glasses because o the way they look and wish I had good eyesight but I am completely blind without glasses. I can't put contact lenses in?

So I went to try contacts yesterday, and tried to get them into my eyes, but failed miserably. I tried for an hour, and couldn't get even one in! The doctor even tried, but that just made me extra flinchy. She's letting me try for one more time tomorrow, and if I can't, I can't wear contacts.

Here is what I am doing:
Holding my lashes and top lid up with my non-dominant hand (using the middle finger)
Holding the bottom lid down with my middle finger
Balancing the contact lense on the top of my pointer finger
Placing it half on the pupil, and half on the white part
I also tried the pupil.
My freaking eyelashes keep getting in the way.
And I think I need contacts to get my contacts in.

Yes, it is bowl-shaped and in the correct position (not inside-out)

I keep blinking!
1) How can I stop?
2) I am already going to try holding just the bottom lid down, but does that work?
3)Should I place it directly on the pupil or just half on it and half on the white part?
4)Tips or ways that worked for you, please?
6)I am also going to try drying my finger really well, unlike last time, so the contact lenses will actually stick to my eye.It won't do that. (should I dry my finger?)
7) I am super freaked to get my lenses OUT. When you pinch it, do you just pinch the pupil and hope you grabbed the lenses?

New Prescription for Glasses?

I went for a check up with my opthalmologist the other day. I noticed that my vision had become worse and I was right. I'm having new glasses made that were sent out.It will take two weeks for them to come in because of the lenses that I need. They were sent out to a lab.My new prescription will be -7.25 and -7.00 with 50 prism base out so split between both eyes is 25 prism.My prescription also may have to be even stronger than that because I noticed with the corrective lenses my left eye was still blurry. I rushed because I was there for over three hours and had class that day. I'm going to call them on monday to try making sure I have the correct prescription that I need. Without my glasses my vision is 20/800 and with the glasses that I was wearing I was at 20/70. I'm nearsighted and read at newspaper print my doctor told me. For those who don't know what prism is, it is a type of lens that bends light.It moves things for people who have double vision. One prism diopter is equivilent to one centimeter. Prism is not made into contacts. I was told that my glasses are going to look ridiculous because of the fifty prism diopters that my vision requires.My glasses are going to be made even thicker than before. I obviously have to wear my glasses constantly. I can't have contacts made because prism isn't made into contacts. Please do not suggest any surgeries or Lasik because not only do I not like the idea of something inside of my eyes but also I know a lot of people still need glasses afterwards. Lasik will not help me with my eyes crossing. I have a muscle spasm in my eyes and a muscle problem.My vision flucuates.My question is will my prescription make my eyes appear smaller and how thick or ridiculous will I look wearing 50 prism split between both eyes?

I asked this question looking for a serious answer, not your arrogant remarks. I currently have been wearing -5.00 and -5.25 with 30 prism split between both eyes.My new prescription is stronger and has increased by 20 more prism diopters. I can imagine this will make a noticeable difference with my glasses. Also when I was looking out of -7.25 the letters looked very tiny. This is why I am asking what my glasses will look like because I would like to know. There has been a jump in my prescription. If you have nothing nice to say then simply don't respond to my question. Quite honestly I am glad I do not have you as eye doctors because you sound like idiots and are jerks. Perhaps you should learn more about your own professions.

My new contact lenses are blurry and foggy?

OK, so I've been wearing my first contacts for three days now, and I'm still on the trials. I haven't opened the actual box yet. They're dailies and toric for astigmatism.
But there's something WEIRD about my vision when I have them on.It's not as clear as usual, and I constantly feel like I need to take them off and wipe them like you would for glasses or something. When I move my eyes, especially to the side, there's sometimes a slight white blur, and it feels like I'm like looking out of a lens that's at a radically different angle from my glasses.It feels like my eyes are working harder than usual.It's incredibly hard to explain - it just doesn't seem like normal vision, it feels weird, and isn't very clear. When I switch back to my glasses, I feel dizzy at first.
It's not the prescription. I have the exact same prescription for my glasses and I can see perfectly with them. And the optician measured my eyes after them I put them on and didn't see anything wrong.
It feels physically comfortable enough - maybe a little dry, but I could forget I'm wearing them if not for the weird vision.

What's wrong with them? Is this something that needs getting used to and will resolve itself? Could it be the solution's problem (it's "all-in-one moisturizing effect" solution)? Should I go back?

This is kinda pissing me off, I just want to wear contacts and have normal vision.
Any help would be appreciated.
