The ongoing self hate in the filipino community is rising each day! From skin lightening cremes to contact lenses, surgery ( If they can afford it) and claiming to he ''Half Spanish''. When will this self hate stop in the filipino community? Praising those who are half caucasian like they're some gods and using Half filipino people to represent your race beauty is just BEYOND sad and pathetic.
Filipinos.you say you have pride but, You not love yourselves first? Wheres the pride in embracing the dark skin and features god gave you?
You don't acknowledge your black roots but claim spanish roots from people who tortured and conquered you? That's twisted!
You rather support people from East asia before you support yourselves and other southeast asia people.
When will you filipinos start to love yourselves and stop trying to achieve the white appearance and trying to be white. Because you will never be white.No matter how many white men you marry or women your still a dark skin or bleached skin filipino at the end of the day.
