Electromagnetic Waves?

Can someone look over this and see what else i need to put

In your own words, explain how polarized sunglasses work. Describe the properties of electromagnetic waves and interactions that this technology targets.
They work by placing lenses tints in front of your eyes. The frequency light from Infrared, visual, and Ultraviolet coming from the sun will hit the lenses and they will act as a filter which will absorb certain amount of frequencies allowing others to pass through. They will block those light ways that travel perpendicular to the lenses surface and allow other light ways to pass.

They will block the oscillation of the light (electric field) which is perpendicular. The light travels toward the eye, but the E-field is perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Added (4). New answer

Electromagnetic waves have a polarity, which means they move in primarily one plane (horizontal, vertical, right hand circular, etc). A polarized lens blocks the light from all but one pole. They work by placing lenses tints in front of your eyes. The frequency of light from Infrared, visual, and ultraviolet coming from the sun will hit the lenses and they will act as a filter which will absorb certain amount of frequencies allowing others to pass through.
