Are contact lenses dangerous? - 1

I want to wear coloured contact lenses- but I've been warned that the cheap ones (30$) damage your eyes.

Is that true?

I only want to wear them briefly, no more than 2 hours at a time.

I have grey-green eyes, will bright blue lenses show up well. I know dark brown eyed people complain that the colours aren't bright enough.
